4481  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk is getting boring! on: May 27, 2021, 09:04:45 AM
Guys, of course I understand that Elon Musk is a very cool dude, but there's too much of him here now.
I don't know about you, but I'm already very bored reading bitcoin discussions, where almost every third topic is about this "respected" man.
It seems to me that the more we write about him here, the more I become uninterested in reading bitcoin discussions.
I suggest that, at the very least, we create a separate topic about Elon Musk.  Angry
Its just very funny and ironic to see that you are somewhat bored about Elon Musk but you yourself created a thread about him Cheesy.
Separate topic?? We don't need it anymore. The Elon Musk hype is slowly going down already thus, the number of discussion here regarding will decrease overtime.

Respected?? He might be more respectable if he didn't involve himself into crypto but hey.. he is a businessman after all and he will do anything just to make profits and that includes involving himself into crypto, supporting Bitcoin and Dogecoin and when the time comes that he will sell, he will share some stupid tweets on twitter causing the market to drop more than 50% Cheesy. A good businessman.

Instead of talking about him, lets just ignore about him. Let him do whatever he wants to do. If he wants to upgrade DOGE then so be it. If he wants to support crypto then so be it but lets not focus on him or at least rely our investments on him. I see some investors who went all in because of his tweets and now suffering huge losses. :X
4482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrency will rise in future? on: May 27, 2021, 08:42:21 AM
The sharp drop means bitcoin had temporarily erased all its gains following Tesla's announcement that it would purchase $1.5 billion worth of the cryptocurrency. It was also down more than 50% since hitting a record high of $64,829 in mid-April

is there any other cryptocurrency that can be rise n future ? if yes then proper details which one is ?
The sharp drop of Bitcoin doesn't mean that it will not rise anymore in the future.
Take note that most of the altcoins are following Bitcoin's movement so if Bitcoin goes down then so it is altcoins.

Now to answer your question, the coin that you said will be the cryptocurrency that will rise in the future and if that rises then altcoins will rise with it.
Lets not forget that the crypto market has its ups and downs. We may see it go up and like we saw in the past months but at the same time we see also going down like what happened few weeks ago. Markets are moving in cycles but in the end, Bitcoin alongside some altcoins will rise.
4483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 27, 2021, 08:20:58 AM

MSG's crowd throwing boos and chants "F*CK Trae Young" when the game is already decided. Trashtalks are commons and no doubt, we are entertained by it. And the best part of this is, "fans are now back!" but I think it's too much if they throw that line to a young Trae who is just giving his all.
I have nothing wrong with the chants of the crowd in MSG but what is disgusting is there is a person there who just spitted Trae Young. Luckily it didn't hit him but it hit the person below the one who spitted.
Aside from that, who saw what did the 76er fan did to Westbrook?? He is going to their locker room because of the injury he got when there is a fan that threw popcorn to him. I have nothing to say but a complete disrespect. These are just 2 of the many more things that might happen in the future and I hope that the NBA management will take actions into this.

Now the Knicks tied the series 1-1 against the Hawks. The Hawks got a double digit lead going to the halftime but the Knicks fight back in the 2nd half. 5 players in double digits and I just want to commend how DRose is playing right now. Vintage DRose Cheesy.
Wizards and 76ers. It was all 76ers from the start to the finish. Its just sad to see Westbrook getting an injury.
Utah and Grizzlies. Utah managed to tied the series 1-1. Its good to see Mitchell playing again because he is frustrated that he didn't play on Game 1. Looks like Morant has the guts to end Gobert's career in his dunk attempt but he forgot that Gobert is a DPOY candidate Cheesy. Huge block coming from Gobert.
4484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should you buy bitcoin right now? on: May 26, 2021, 06:40:55 AM
it's too late to buy Bitcoin. Its value is increasing day by day.We should have bought it couple of years ago. In 2025 people will say it again, it's too late now. It us said that the future economy will depend on bitcoin.
Most of the people who are saying that its too late to buy Bitcoin are the ones who are newbies like the OP Smiley.

It is true that the value of it is increasing day by day but at the same time, the value of it is also decreasing day by day. What I'm trying to say is that, if you are a long term holder of Bitcoin then it doesn't matter if when and what price you bought it although you can get more profit if you bought it at a cheaper price.

Now to answer that question, right now is a better time to buy Bitcoin compare to where it was few weeks ago where it is at its peak. We don't know if when is the perfect time to buy Bitcoin but the best thing to do is to just buy if it goes down and hold if it goes down and don't panic at all.
4485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 26, 2021, 05:15:57 AM
Davis and Lebron with dagger 3's to beat the Phoneix Suns and make it a 1-1 series. Good win by the Lakers but I would say that because CP3 didn't play that much in this contest, with just 23 minutes and 6 points, it could have been a different outcome down the stretch.

So Lakers stealing 1 in Phoenix and now they are going back home and with the momentum right now. Let's see if CP3 will play in game 3 to make the match more evenly.
That three coming from them and add the dunk of Caruso in the final seconds to seal the deal and win in Game 2 against the Suns.
For sure those who put their bets in Lakers are absolutely happy right now.

Its just good to see Drummond and Gasol in their rotation and giving them more minutes than the usual. The only problem is CP3 who didn't played that much. Probably his injury that he got in Game 1 affected his overall performance. It will be hard for the Lakers to come back if they are down 2-0 and good for them that they've adjusted in this game. Just hoping that either LBJ or AD will not injured all throughout the series.

How about the Nets also having a 2-0 advantage against the Boston Celtics as they also had a good game tonight and blowing up the C's. I'm smelling a sweep as well in this series.

It seems that Boston has no offer to the fire power of the big 3. Joe Harris exploded with 25 points and a big 7 three points shoot to help established the lead in the first quarter. So let's see how Celtics are going to adjust in game 3, they really need to bring their A game, Tatum just had 9 points in this game.
Its all Nets along the way.
Harris' threes in the first quarter really made the Nets have a huge lead at the start of the first quarter. Its good to see the big three of the team having some chemistry at least now. If I'm not mistaken, the Celtics are one of the worst in defense while the Nets are one of the best in offense (correct me if I'm wrong) so I will not be surprised if this will end up 4-0

Looks like the Dallas Mavericks will end up their road game in 2-0 as they defeated the Clippers again 127-121. Games 3-4 will be at Dallas and they have a chance to sweep out the Clippers. 4 of the starters of Dallas are in double digits and it looks like they can't stop the Luka Magic Cheesy.

For those who have buying power who bought some coins at the bottom or at least near the lowest price then congrats to you Smiley
Ohh I forgot myself who bought some when it dipped too Cheesy. Congrats to me too.

When we see some huge dips like dips, investors tend to think like "we will be in a bear market now, lets just sell our coins at a loss" or "it will go down more, I will wait for X price". Unfortunately for them because they've given an opportunity to buy but they either do the opposite because they panicked or they've waited for too long to the point that the market went the opposite direction already. As for me, I'm just happy to at least bought some (not that much) coins at the bottom and now sitting at a small profits too Smiley.
4487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: May 26, 2021, 02:48:58 AM
I was looking at staking my ethereum. The interest rate seems good and I found BlockFi.com which seems to be around 10% (not guaranteed rate though). Is there a risk of losing coins and is staking recommended? For Ethereum, which site pays the highest APR and is the most reliable/safest?

Thanks!
Staking BlockFi seems to not have that high risk compare to other staking platforms since many are using it but still, once you put your money there they have a complete control of it. Will they make an exit scam?? I don't think so.

Staking in Ethereum needs a whopping 32 ETH which not all investors can't afford. You have 2 choices, either join a staking pool and stake there which has a high risk and another one is to stake in platforms like BlockFi, Celsius and Crypto.com.  Staking there isn't the safest but not the riskiest at all.

Now staking in general and will you recommend it. If you are a fan of dividend investing then this might be for you. If you want to hold coins for long term then you might pick some staking coins. Maybe there are some who don't want it but I like it and I will recommend it. I'm currently holding some staking coins right now and earning passive income daily or sometimes weekly.

There are many staking platforms out there. Just pick a coin on for example Binance, buy it and stake it there if you want. Make a research first before staking because there are some who has a downside like for instance Ethereum where if you want to stake you need to lock-up your ETH for 2 years :X.

Sad to see that one of the pillars of PBA has officially retired for sure the fans will miss the intensity what pinoh sakuragi can bring in the court. Wishing for him to get a good recognation but unfortunately this will never happen these year since the pandemic still exist in the world. For sure we will miss him play in PBA aswell in FIBA.

It was already expected so fans are already prepared for it. And besides, the average retirement of PBA players starts from the age of 35 above. A great step for Pinoy Sakuragi to give way to young cores now. I can't imagine PBA for now without these big names.

I'm expecting another retirement of some players this year honestly.

As of this year, there are now 6 players who finally hang their jersey for good;

- Cyrus Baguio
- Ronald Tubid
- Harvey Carey
- JC Intal
- Jay-R Reyes
- Marc Pingris
Pingris is saying it already that if he will be given another contract then he will play but I think that isn't the case now. Well, for sure he might be return as one of the management team of Magnolia in the future maybe Smiley.

We already saw 6 players who retired for good and this just shows that the future is bright for the league. We already one of the best if not the best rookie players this year and most of them are very promising thus, they are needed by different teams. They need to give slots to these young and talented players to showcase their abilities to the largest league in our country.

Thanks to all of them and maybe we might see some old players doing the same to just to give spots to these promising rookies and for the future too.
4489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 WOW, Michael Saylor and Elon Musk, What do you think? on: May 25, 2021, 11:04:34 AM
No effect on the market at all.
Or maybe there is a bit of an increase a few hours after the tweet but as of this moment, Bitcoin is going down again Cheesy.

Some might say that this move by Elon Shit "again" will be the catalyst of the market going upwards but that isn't the case right now. One big positive tweet and you can bring good thing to the market but one big negative tweet will bring the market down and that is what Elon did and for sure most of the investors aren't listening to him anymore and that is a good thing. That would be better than you are hoping for just one influencer to tweet positive things and that will be the time that you will buy. Just unfortunate for those people who followed him and lost their money because of him too.

Whether it is Saylor or Musk or any institutions I don't want to follow them at all and considering that these institutions are holding a huge amount of Bitcoin, they can just dump all of their holdings anytime they want. On the other hand though, I commend what they are doing. This move by them might or might not help Bitcoin but.. yeah still a good thing.

Good news worth sharing.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/ramon-ang-on-terrence-romeo-sabi-nila-very-very-hard-to-handle-baliktad-a795-20210524?ref=home_featured_big

Quote
FIRST impressions usually last, but that apparently doesn’t apply to Terrence Romeo as far as San Miguel big boss Ramon Ang is concerned.

The 29-year-old Romeo has enjoyed the best times of his career at San Miguel after arriving in a trade with TnT, winning his first Finals MVP award when the Beermen beat the Tropang GIGA in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals.

Ang said Romeo's performance on the court and behavior off it was the exact opposite of what most fans expected, especially with the stories about the former Far Eastern University sta he was hearing prior to his move to the Beermen.

“Sabi nila, very, very hard to handle,” Ang told Summit Media editors and reporters during a Sandwich Session on Friday. “Baliktad. Ang bait naman nun. Sobrang bait nun. Tsaka naiintindihan ko ‘yung kanyang hilig.”

That's coming from the big boss, Romeo should be so proud of this and it could mean that he could retire with the SMB if he will continue what he has been doing. He is underrated as a player, but this guy is really good even in international competition.
He went to Global Port (now North Port) but the team can't handle him. He went to TNT and looks like it is the same.
Now he went to SMB and now he found his new home.

In his 2 teams, he is a legit scorer especially in his first years in Global Port where he averages more than 20 PPG but when he went to SMB everything has changed and that includes his role and at the same time his attitude. There is no better thing than to change the attitude of the player. Acquiring Romeo from the TNT is a big accomplishment to the team and we already saw his impact in his games and he also got an Finals MVP Smiley.

I said it again and will say it again. When the superstars of SMB will retire Romeo, Perez and Fajardo will be the faces of the team Smiley. If they will add another superstar then better.

Can we live Without btc?
I think we Can so then we Don't need it.
Literally speaking, we can live without Bitcoin. Many people are still living even though they aren't using Bitcoin or they don't anything about crypto.
You can say that we don't need it but for some people, they need it for some reasons.

For money Transactions btc its a Bad choise.
Stable coins are good for Transactions.
This is true at some points but Stable coins aren't being used for transactions either.
I'd rather transact to others using digital fiat currency than Bitcoin or other coins.

So btc is Pure speculation its Only the matter of Time When government Will ban Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not needed You Can breathe without btc and you Can live uour daily life without btc.

There is no reason that government Will let the btc to stay alive.
Unfortunately that isn't the case right now. There might be some countries that will ban it but most of the countries will just be rather not involved themselves into it than banning it.
We can live without Bitcoin of course. We can breathe without Bitcoin of course but I don't see any reason too that Government will ban Bitcoin Smiley.
4492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 25, 2021, 10:08:08 AM
How about the Milwaukee Bucks today?

Looks like they don't gonna give any chance to the Miami Heat this time. they won the last 2 games and managed to give Miami Heat the worst game in the NBA playoffs today.

Too much Bucks in this game. 10 three pointers in a quarter and a 26 point lead to start the game. Its just complete domination by these team.

Looks like they've adjusted to what happened last years where they got dominate by the Heat. TBH, I completely underestimated the Bucks at the start of the season because of their roster compare to other championship contender teams but looks like we can include them in the top picks on winning the title Smiley.

On the other game, the Nuggets came back and win Game 2 128-109.
4493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 24, 2021, 06:47:04 AM
Memphis Grizzlies upsets the Utah Jazz. Nice. I am amazed with how wise Kyle Anderson and think clearly making a foul (penalty) to avoid a 3 point shot.
Fouling out Rudy Gobert by attacking the paint and switches was also the reason they won this game.
That's a good tactic by the Memphis Coach Taylor Jenkins and with Ja Morant leading them, they can win games even if they are the number 1 seed or GSW in the play-in tournament. But I think Mitchell will be playing in Game 2 and it's going to be more entertaining.
I thought only few will saw how intelligent Kyle Anderson is on the last seconds of the game. They are leading by 3 and he fouled Bogdanovic just to take 2 free throws. Maybe there is a mistake on Boggy there since he didn't called a timeout earlier.

Game 1 was an upset but knowing that Mitchell isn't playing and Gobert fouled out too, I believe that if these 2 will play then they will take Game 2. Congrats to the Grizzlies team still.
Who saw here the fail flop of Gobert when he's being pushed by Anderson?? Cheesy Another Shaq'tin a fool video featuring the flop of the year c/o Rudy Gobert.

I'm surprised, LAL with complete team, lost the game.
I confess... the Suns stood out and it was a deserved victory. I can see, the Lakers need to work hard to be able to win the next games.
Kuzma played 19 minutes and scored no points, how is this possible ?!  Undecided Huh

I am worried about CP3, again he get injuried in playoffs, but I think it was not serious, any news about his shoulder???
Kuzma played 19 minutes with no points?? Nothing new about there. He's been already playing like that since he joined the team.
Well, it looks like CP3 got the first blood against the defending champs Cheesy. I hope that the injury that Paul got in Game 1 will not affect his performance in Game 2.
4494  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we entering bear market? How low will btc go in the coming year? on: May 24, 2021, 02:30:13 AM
Hi guys,

Looking to purchase some btc in the coming year and looking for the best time.
Sold all alts a few weeks back and will switch back into btc when the price is right.

Ideal would be around 12k, within a year from now. Do you think its possible or am i setting the bar too low to fast?
Is this just a half time dip in the cycle and we'll see another ath this year?

I'm bearish by nature and I have patience so I'm not rushing to buy right now, but I'm interested in what your views are.

Thanks
I did a quick glance into the drop that happened in 2017 and what might happen this year 2021.
In 2017, there is a 70% drop from near 20k to around 6k. If you will plot it to the recent ATH and if it will duplicate it, we are seeing a price drop to up to the near $20,000 level. Aside from the $30,000 price support right now, $20,000 is what I'm seeing as a next strong support. $12,000? I don't want to say that it is impossible but it is less likely to happen.

There are 2 signs that we are in a bear market.
1. If we broke the strong support which is right now the $30,000.
2. If it manages to reach the 34 and the 21 weekly EMA and it failed to push through then that is also a sign.

This video from a great analyst might help others know to spot if we are in a bear market or not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxFBFyJL7f0.
4495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto has become the rich man's playground... on: May 24, 2021, 01:56:58 AM
With crypto still on the early stages, I will agree with what the OP has said that crypto has been a playground of the riches.
Is there anything that we can do about it?? None but to just rant on social media, saying bad things to them but in the end they have the power therefore they will do it at anytime they want to.

On the other hand even though we've seen market manipulators, FUD's and some people bashing crypto, the market is just going up and up and as more and more people are coming into crypto, there is lesser chance that the market will be manipulated at least.

We can say what we want to them. We can talk shit about Elon or any whales or manipulators out there but that is it. The rich will be richer and those below them? Well, they might stay on their current positions right now or they will become rich too but not enough to be a whale Cheesy.
4496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 24, 2021, 01:33:43 AM
NLEX is good but they lack defense, that's what I observed since coach Yeng took over the coaching.

We all see that, that's why they will never win in the playoffs due to their lack of defense, also, most of their game are high scoring, that only tells that they are not focus on defense, rather than in offense, in fact, even big man is shooting 3's that's the design of play made by coach Yeng.

Well, since they are talking of a big man, maybe they already know their weakness and they are desperate to have a good one.

I also observe that, since they are now talking about big man  it's shows that they are working into something that would help the team.

It would be very nice gesture to show some interest in seeking for big players that would really help them to give good defense as they already have offensive players who can take care of this area.

I also see that if they can acquire Greg the chance of tighting the interior will help them to improve.

Coach Yeng is just a bit disappointed with his team's performance, or the current roster. I had heard a lot of bad comments from him, he seemed to be not getting what he wants with the current lineup, he missed a team that has a chance to be in the playoffs, NLEX just doesn't have that now. Getting a big man is important, but other teams are interested as well, and in the end, the biggest and the richest team will win, you know what I'm saying.
The more money you have, the more chances of you getting a better player Cheesy. That is how PBA works right now.
The competition of the league has been gone because of... you know what I mean too Cheesy. These independent teams didn't have the opportunity to at least compete with this other teams because they are being used as a milking farm of this big companies or I should say other teams. They got a good player, they will get it and it goes on and on.

Big man is important in basketball and it seems like they are lacking a reliable one right now. Maybe they are trying what Rockets did in NBA 2 years ago Cheesy. Well anyway I just hope that they can manage to get a big player before the conference starts or at least they can adjust into it.
4497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon tweet again that he is supporting Crypto against Fiat on: May 24, 2021, 01:07:14 AM
So what now?
Do you think that his tweets will affect the market now after all that he did?
Do you think that the market will pump again after this?

He is one of the main reasons why the market crashed because of his stupid and nonsense tweets and now he is saying nonsense tweets again. For me, he is the "McAfee of 2021". The problem right now is there are still some investors who are believing to what he is saying after what he is done in the crypto market. Right now, he can tweet whatever he wants but it will not affect the market anymore.

Do you think he is trying to rally the market after the dip and will this stop the continuous drop in the market.
He might be but no one will believe in him anymore aside from the investors who sees Elon SHIT as their God when it comes to investing.
4498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 24, 2021, 12:44:57 AM
Suns vs Lakers is a low-scoring game.

Great game by the Suns so far, they have a double-digit lead that the Lakers might not be able to come back, I give this game 1 already a win by the Suns, and good job Booker and Ayton for having a solid night.

therefore my bet is Suns -2.5.. good luck everyone!
This should hit.

It's clear that this first game will go to the Phoenix Suns since from the start of the game they are not giving the Lakers a chance to overcome them. Now the Suns take the lead in their series 1-0. Lakers should begin to change the way they play in the next game if they want to survive the hurricane they are facing right now.

Amazing performance what brought up by suns this game and Lakers became a different team compare last season, I don't know whats the main reason why they struggle while they have solid packs of roosters. Maybe they should really change their gameplays since if they will still play the same for sure they will be eliminated by suns im this series.
Looks like I underestimated the Suns that much. Just watching at the highlights of the game and you will see what really CP3 did to this team.
CP3 injured himself too but returned immediately to lead his team and Game 1 goes to them 99-90.

2 superstars of LA is just combined for 31 points while Booker/Ayton has 55 points. The Lakers needs to go back to the drawing board for Game 2.
4499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 22, 2021, 02:47:13 AM
Lakers in 6? I will go Lakers in 4 or even 5 here. If Lebron and AD will be healthy and will not suffer injuries, they can end this in 4 or 5 games. Most of the Suns team are inexperienced when it comes to playoffs and it is the complete opposite on the Lakers team.
I would bet on Lakers if they are healthy but they aren't, fingers crossed if they are but I think Suns was on another level now they may not have that playoffs experience but I know they matured enough like Booker, Ayton and with addition of Paul it's another level. I think Paul can contribute well to teach them that expertise.
Well, I might agree with what you said into what CP3 can bring to his team. He isn't called "Point God" for nothing.
Whatever team he goes, it will improve. Hornets (Pelicans right now), Clippers, Rockets, Thunder and now the Suns. All of that teams improved when CP3 went there.
Now to the match-up. Unfortunately, these 2 superstars aren't as healthy as they are last year and if the worst thing that can happen is that the Suns can beat them in 4-5 games. Still my prediction stands at Lakers in 4-5 if AD and LBJ are healthy all throughout but if they aren't then I will go Suns in 5-6 games. Smiley
4500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Decide: Are You an Investor or a Gambler? on: May 22, 2021, 02:29:36 AM
That's right, right now, when the price of bitcoin is in such a big decline. If it were me, I'd buy it!
Big decline = opportunity for us to buy more Smiley.
I can consider myself as an investor over a gambler. Investing in some assets without any future plans or strategies is considered a gambler for me.

Right now, Bitcoin declined a bit again at below $40,000. Still a good opportunity to buy. I'm pretty sure that we are considered an investors here but if you are just throwing money away and hoping that it will go up then you can consider yourself as a gambler. As for me, I'm an investor since I'm currently holding all of my crypto coins but at the same time buying when there is an opportunity like this. There is no better opportunity than this and if it will go down, as long as you have spare money then just continue on accumulating more.
