What was that hilarious... ? I ignored you.

You're clearly not ignoring me though are you and you really are acting like a petulant child (very much like your e-gf... Sorry, "business partner" lol). It's also funny that you keep complaining about petty drama and people lying etc yet you yourself continue to do this and you're obviously not 'too grown' to actually handle things like a grown up with the way you've been acting lately. You just want to try block out anyone or anything you don't like or agree with and run away from having to deal with it which is quite sad/immature, but whatever.

Go into profile settings and Personal message options.
4483  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore feature needs enhancements. on: December 02, 2015, 09:18:54 AM
Well I have the right to choose what I can and cannot see.

Yes, and that's what ignore and self-mod is for.

I don't want to see certain people in my threads.

Then self-mod them and deal with it because that's the only way you'll get them to stop.

If certain people have a problem with me, it wouldn't make sense to click on my threads and upset themselves even more. That's completely unnecessary

In your opinion. Just because someone might have a problem with you doesn't mean they can't respond to one of your threads nor will will they likely get upset by doing so but that's up to them to decide.

I don't have time to kill just having unnecessary arguments with certain members.

Then don't reply or respond. Nobody is forcing you to.
4484  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore feature needs enhancements. on: December 02, 2015, 09:05:56 AM
I want it recreated in a way where once I block the person, they cannot see my threads for them to click on, and I cannot see theirs.

If you want to censor people this way you should either self-mod the thread or go create your own forum. Just because you have blocked someone's posts doesn't mean they want to block yours and you don't have the right to choose what they can and cannot see.

What will happen if someone gets promoted to other rank in the middle of the month?

You'll probably just get paid at the rank you signed up at but I'll need to confirm with YABTCL.

There are two Senior slots left. I can accept you but only if you improve your posts. They're pretty much just one liners at the moment.

4486  Other / Meta / Re: How can I attach a screenshot to the PM? on: November 30, 2015, 02:26:24 PM
Take a screenshot and upload the picture to https://imgur.com/. Then on the right side there should be a bunch of links for how to embed the picture. Copy the one for forums/BBCode and paste that into the pm.

They won't show up if you use the bbcode tags so just upload them to a file hosting site such as imgr then send him the direct links in your PM.
4487  Other / Meta / Re: Abandoned thread - how to delete it on: November 30, 2015, 01:18:05 PM
I cannot lock or change that inital thread. I can control only the thread about DMD Diamond which we have created after this coin takeover.

This initial abandoned thread s been created by the old dev who s not around for years.

Did you try to report it to be moved to archival?
There's no need to report. Anyone can move their thread to archival (and have no right to move them to its child board though).

BTW can you post the link to the thread? This could help.

Read what he's saying. He didn't create the thread; an old dev did so that's why he can't do anything about it. I would contact an admin as they can transfer ownership, merge or decide what to do with it but it wont be deleted. Best likely option would be a merge of the two threads and transfer ownership over to you but you'd have to make your case to an admin for that to happen.

-snip-
There are no rules of self-moderation
-snip-
You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one.
-snip-
I am clueless to what I did wrong and how to improve, if it was in fact a legitimate reason why it was deleted. I read every thread from top to bottom and post something new and constructive, when I do decide to reply.

How can we improve, if we do not receive any explanation on what we did wrong?

Dont post in self mod threads. There is nothing you have to do wrong in order for your posts there to get deleted. The person starting the thread can just delete them because the day is sunny (or rainy) or their coffee was unusual cold.

So you saying, someone or a group of people created self moderated threads all over the place and then decided to delete 22 posts in one shot? Why would they want to do that? I do not disagree with your statement shorena, but I do find it strange that it would be such a big coincidence.

If you check the deleted post message and it says a person who created a self modded thread has deleted your post, then yes, that's literally what happened. People who create self-modded threads can do what they want and at anytime. I've personally had posts deleted in them for no reason and also from threads I posted in ages ago and that's why I rarely post in them. Really no point when as you have found out they can be deleted for no reason on a whim. If, however, it was deleted by a mod it will say but there is usually a good reason for it. Also as I mentioned above a reply could be constructive, on topic and well thought out but if it's in a thread necrobumped and that post gets deleted yours will as well.
4489  Other / Meta / Re: Massive deleting post on: November 29, 2015, 09:02:28 PM
It gives you a general list of why it may have been deleted in the PM you receive but there is no option currently to give specifics (on most forums you usually don't even get a warning your post has been deleted so at least you get the courtesy here). You can suggest it for the new forum if you wish but I believe something like this may already be planned.
4490  Other / Meta / Re: Massive deleting post on: November 29, 2015, 08:44:28 PM
Nobody can help you if you don't provide info on what was deleted and from where but it's usually for offtopic replies or threads that have been unnecessarily necrobumped by a sig spammer and if you reply after them your posts will get deleted too.

And how can you know if that's what happened because if the sig spammer post was deleted too you would never be able to know, right?

No. If the post was reported (which they usually are) then it'll be in the handled que so if he posted in the same thread then it's easy to work out. Also, the mod who acted on it could speak out too.
4491  Other / Meta / Re: How does Forum Activity work? on: November 29, 2015, 08:15:23 PM
Because the periods are fixed and don't start when you sign up. You could sign up and post a day before the new activity period then the day after make another post and you would have a potential activity of 28 even though you've only been registered two days. Next period starts on the 8th and you can get another 14 activity then.

About this campaign, I am a bit worried if should avoid to post low quality posts or to forums what does not count.

For example if I think posting single link would help someone I would like to post that and as faucet owner I follow micro earnings and might post something there (btw YABTCL have one of the coolest "faucet" around, even it is not well known).

So, if I should avoid of posting something that campaign is not for me, but if they just dont count there is no problem Smiley

You should always avoid maiking low quality posts anywhere, but you can post in Micro Earnings etc but those posts just wont count. I have to individually go through posts and mark them as accepted or not so if a post is constructive/relevant and in the allowed sections it'll be accepted.

can I join :O

Thanks.

I really don't think we need more than one auction board. Probably would be pretty dead in there without them but I don't think that justifies having a seperate sub for them.

Neg trust ratings, selective moderation leading to ban (by bitcointalk forum mods selling accounts/participating in sig campaigns.
Use your brain.

Yes, because people leave negative feedback on others for complaining about moderation or forum policy. I'll tell you why people create new accounts to post this stuff, because people either don't have the balls to post from the main account, don't want to look stupid or just troll asking the same questions that have been asked over and over again. Probably all three in your case. Keep banging your head against that wall.

>don't have the balls to post from the main account
When discussing forum policy requires balls, something is definitely wrong Sad

It doesn't require balls, but that seems to be your excuse. It would be like me using an alt to respond to this thread just so I didn't have to deal with the same crap that inevitably comes from brand new accounts created to talk forum policy. I have more respect and patience for those that don't feel the need to cowardly create a new account to speak their mind. Absolutely nothing would have happened to your main account had you posted this from it but you probably just want a throwaway so you can post crap without it reflceting badly on your main account.

>Keep banging your head against that wall
See postscript in my previous post.

And see my post above. I also understand the sheer idiocy of arguing this point with a forum newb created soley to post baseless accusations, irrelevancy, and ad hominems, but that's why you created a new account.

The only way to curb account sales is to get rid off signature campaigns. The issue with that is the forum wants all of those posters here so it will never happen. This forum would lose a huge amount of traffic if the campaigns stopped.

Account sales would not stop if signature campaigns went. Sure, accounts are currently farmed here largely because of signature campaigns but if campaigns were banned then all that would happen would be a hell of a lot of high-ranked dirt cheap accounts flood the market when people ditch this forum as they realise they no longer need their account(s). Now, if you're making the argument that account sales encourage scams then people would sure as hell mostly buy them to scam once that's the only thing they have worth for.
