ow.. there's a competition and I miss it,, wasn't able to read it early so I just congratulate in advance to whoever wins between Finestream and Harkorede.

If Harkorede will win, you will not spend 0.002 btc of your money, so I think you should lose. lol..... Grin
By the way, I think I will bet on your picks tomorrow, especially the Clippers as looks like everyone here are on the same boat.
4482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NEVER EVER deal Bitcoins with PAYPAL (F&F too!) on: December 31, 2019, 08:48:38 AM
Sorry for your loss mate, you should have transacted to someone who are trusted here in the forum.

In this board, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0.. you can see some people who are have trust from DT or even DT are trading their bitcoin to paypal and vice versa and there was a warning from Theymos regarding paypal reversal transaction.
4483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Online] Misclicks - Let's hear the stories good, bad, funny on: December 30, 2019, 08:18:28 AM
Mine happen in dice, I was manually betting thinking it's a good idea because I don't want to stay longer without assurance I can bag a big amount of money. What happened is I accidentally hit the all in but unlike some gamblers, I wasn't lucky and got my total bankroll busted, after that, I stop for at least a week because that was a costly mistake for me.
4484  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: December 30, 2019, 05:56:56 AM
That's impossible, crypto might suffer and dump its price but the technology will remain.

You need to understand that it's decentralized, meaning even the government can't control it, and even if it will be deemed illegal, there are still people who will keep using it. Write that on the stone because that's the reality: Grin
4485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 be bearish as well? on: December 30, 2019, 03:06:25 AM
I don't think 2020 will be a bearish year, but it won't grow much either.

Well, if it will be bullish it's possible that there's a bigger growth in that year.
Bitcoin has reached $13K already this year and this year was ended not a bullish year, so what more could happen if 2020 is a bullish year.
Big possibility is that there will be a new ATH for bitcoin and the altcoins market will be alive again, that would be like 2017 scenario.
4486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: December 30, 2019, 02:27:44 AM
I think that could happen. because there will be a power in the market again and this may affect the subcoins. of course there will be no bull running as in 2017 but there will still be a nice rise
Of course, if Bitcoin is worth $20k, it will affect alts in a positive way, but when is this long-awaited rise in Bitcoin to $20,000?
And No ETA about that as this is a speculation thread. Even if some people said that could happen in the next years but they may be wrong about that as so many experts have failed predict the current price of bitcoin. Some people said in 2018 if this year the price of bitcoin will touch new ATH.
Exactly, there's a lot of experts in the market and most of them are wrong, they always based the past trends of bitcoin price or movement but we know it's not the best basis because bitcoin is so unpredictable. If it comes it will come and we can only enjoy that moment if we held something we can sell at a good return.
4487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin a Good Investment? Does Hodl Work? on: December 27, 2019, 02:04:14 PM
Yes, HODL does work.

When talking about my strategy of HODL, for me, I don't judge it on a regular and short term basis, I just have to set a good target and wait until that target will be achieve. For me, HODL means I'll be able to hold for a long term if the right timing has not come yet.

For example, I bought at peak in 2017, that means I am still holding until now, and I will never get panic despite of what would happen to the market.

You must be firm. However, people aren't have the same approach as you. Or you may be wealthy from behind so that you ain't worrying what would be the market held from time to time. If people have the same attitude as you, I just see a healthy environment. More positivity, I supposed? Full of encouragement, and such things.

I would not say I am wealthy but I made good profit in 2017 from other coins.
I diversified some of my profits by buying the altcoins that I like and unfortunately they are dropping in value, some lost 90% of its price from ATH but like I said, I don't panic, if in case I will lose my investment on them, overall, I AM STILL PROFITABLE due to my other coins.

you lose some and you win some, but make sure you have more winnings that your loses, that's the rule in investing and in gambling .

4489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH - Going to 70$? on: December 27, 2019, 12:56:26 PM
It might go to 70 usd if the market will really go much down but i don't think will happen, and most expect to have a bull run which might happen next year and make some profit.
Honestly if that would happen, I would try to find ways to make money just to buy ETH at that price.
The market has been so bearish in the last 2 years, there's plenty of opportunity to accumulate cheap coins but ETH is special and now that we know the team has enough funds for its future, then we should not worry even if it dump.

this should be enough to develop eth.

4490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 27, 2019, 12:38:18 PM
That's a speedy recovery for Doncic right there. I don't know what therapy he undergoes but but it seems too fast. Unlike the injury of Stephen Curry where it's his finger only and it took him months I guess and still didn't play until now.
Curry needed a surgery so it needs him to rest months.
https://www.nba.com/article/2019/10/30/stephen-curry-exits-wrist-warriors-suns

while doncic injury was just a sprain ankle so it's not really series, just a days of rest and he is alright, and so we saw his usual play again.
4491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best performing cryptos of 2019,what have you played? on: December 27, 2019, 08:22:54 AM
I disagree, altcoins would not rise if bitcoin is not gonna show positive signs of being bullish.
Look, BNB triggered a rise when bitcoin pump and reach over $10,000.. I think $13K was the highest so this year, and they all owe that to BTC.

What happen after BTC dump, BNB dump as well, from $40 to $13 only now.

I only see BNB has a remarkable increase this year and it has reached its ATH.
4492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price in 2020. on: December 27, 2019, 07:51:58 AM
After the 2 years of bear market for altcoins especially for ETH, I think people will stop expecting that ETH will reach to $1,000.
I am not saying all of us but maybe majority of us because we see how it struggle and we just want a price movement that would result to recover.
Maybe a slow movement but not a pump and dump would help and with that I am not expecting it will happen if bitcoin will not reach at least $15k.
yeah $1000 in the next year or in 2020 is look good for ethereum price. many people predict that ethereum can reach $1000 in the next year because people thinking that halving happen. but keep on mind that many factors to ethereum price reach $1000 such bitcoin have to reach $15000 then bull run happen etc
Would be nice if we really see that happen again, you know when ETH reached at that level again, the ETH tokens that are almost worthless now will have a life, so it's really important for ETH to bounce back hard, I know it's almost impossible at the current price but nothing is impossible here and even bitcoin rise from less than a dollar to thousands of dollar, it should be in our mind always.
4493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: December 27, 2019, 07:27:49 AM
Spurs vs Dallas -6.5, it is a trap for the Spurs or Dallas here are just overvalued because they were hype?
Dallas are overvalued, first game of Luka from injury and the line even rise to -8 which they were able to win and manage if they don't allow the Spurs to have a small rally in the 4th quarter, what a mess, don't bet on Dallas with that high spread against a legit team.
4494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: December 26, 2019, 11:36:58 PM
Gambling with crypto is now so much easier that in my opinion one finds it more cumbersome to gamble with fiat. Crypto can easily be obtained sometimes from airdrops and some times just giveaways or from sharing competitions etc. I only recently started limiting my gambling to just the crypto earned that way I feel better about not giving away too much
That's a good idea if you are just giving it away, .. well, gambling is for fun and if you earn crypto, it would not hurt you a lot when you lose because in the first place, that's not a hard earned money compared to what you earn from your business or from your job.

In general, IMO, crypto gambling is better than fiat, it's fast and anonymous, that alone already gives the gamblers the kind of comfort they want.
4495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ★ SUR ★ Token As A Pledge for Suretly on: December 26, 2019, 11:13:22 PM
In all cases the trading volumes of SUR it is necessary to check directly from the exchange but not from coinmarketcap.
We can check the exchange because this token is only listed in one exchange, but as we can see, the volume is really low.
Maybe there's a disparity between cmc and  the exchange but that's only a small disparity and we can't erase the fact that SUR has a little volume even from the start.
4496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: what is BCNEX? does it have a potential to overcome other exchanges? on: December 26, 2019, 01:06:40 PM
I heard a lot of good reviews about the exchange, of course there is a potential to overcome other exchanges if they continue to develop the exchange and stay in the competition. An exchange always have a slow journey but when they already get the trust of the people, that's where they start to grow.

there is no permanent in the market, even Poloniex which was the most popular before IMO is already overthrown by Binance a long time ago.
4497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Still In a Bear Market, But What About Bitcoin??? on: December 26, 2019, 12:42:54 PM
In general bitcoin is not in bear market anymore, just compare the price this year from its low to the current price,.. of course that's 100% increase and that's a great price which makes investors profitable for this year, though it's not that much.

About altcoins, I think they are still in bear market although some have really step up this year like BNB but majority are already dying.
4498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Alt projects to take off in 2020 on: December 26, 2019, 11:09:04 AM
Honestly my definition of best altcoins is a strong coins which cannot be easily affected by the pump and dump.
And actually this year especially in the 1st half of the year I find a good new coins which I think has a great potential but when market changes lead by bitcoin, that potential looks gone because their price are dropping, even the coins in your list, I don't trust them for now.

hello friends.

2018 - 2019  its similar periods for ETH. ETHEREUM are going to 70$?
what is your predicts about ETH market ? what you think about future?

Actually we can't tell if it will go down or will rise, but regardless, the market is not stable and ETH is not a shit coin, so if it's down it should be treated as an opportunity for people to buy and if it pump, it's time to sell. ETH already drop below $100 this year, so it's not new and people get used to it already, but one thing that will remain in their mind is the trust that one day ETH will rise and will again reach to $1,000 level.
