1  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the real bull run begin? on: Today at 01:25:26 PM

I will continue to hold as I feel we are only months away from the real bull run but it is testing my patience lately waiting month after month for some real price action.

How is everyone else feeling?
Please do it just like other investors do because this is the only thing we can do knowing that we never know when exactly the ATH come.
You mentioned last 2020, we can't say to have the same market experience this time but can't set aside to be possible. As long as we are holding, we have nothing to worry about missing the chance. What I feel is that the bull season extends until next year and just like the previous halvings, ATH comes months after halving which means that we also need to extend our patience in holding. We just think that holding is no regret but instead, getting more rewards.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: Today at 12:33:09 PM
^
The Lakers just didn't learn. Cheesy
That's one heck of a perimeter running shot from Jamal Murray for a game-winner. That's not easy, I could tell. No balance, feet not set, and being in front of a defender. He really mastered basketball to be able to do that.
I wouldn't blame them, they know that it's going to happen and Reaves was there to guard Murray but he's just too slippery. The problem there is that coach Darvin Ham didn't reserved any timeout for the last clutch plays like it's needed for those remaining seconds. And he didn't also used some on 3rd quarter when the momentum was with the Denver Nuggets, he didn't cut them off and let like 6+ points to be made by the Nuggets before he finally called it. If there's one to blame, it's obvious but the game's done and as I've said, no blaming anymore as that won't change the results.

With still more than 2 minutes left in the game the Lakers have no timeout anymore. The outcome could be different if they still have a timeout as they can design a play for a 3 point shot and the Lakers could win by 1 point. But you are right, what's done is done, Lakers just not as clutch as the Nuggets as they are only good at the start but always fail to finish the game with a win.

And take note, Murray was not even 100% in that game, before the game he was listed as questionable but he did play and was the hero in the game. The  Lakers players just did the right thing, it only differ on the coaching job.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: Today at 11:42:06 AM
Every fighter is confident though in facing anyone, that is there job. And we don't know if this is going to be exciting as it could be very quick like the Donaire fight with just a couple of rounds. Specially if that confident says that he can go toe to toe then it will be an easy and fast ending for Nery here.

What he should do is at least have a good plan in the fight, trying to feel Inoue and see if he can outsmart him. And then uses his power from time to time and score points on the judges scorecard. If if he lucky that the fight goes to distance, maybe he can win in the scorecard.

I think scoring points is not enough for him to win. We saw the quickness of Inoue, Nery cannot outplay Inoue if he uses a score and run technique. IMO, Nery should conserve his energy and go for KO, because once he hurt Inoue, there's a chance that he could knockout the champion.

Nery should be confident, he must believe in his power becasue his record speak so, and although it's dangerous to go toe to toe with Inoue, but if it's the only chance for him to beat the monster, I think he should try to gamble.

Looking at their previous fights, Inoue is faster in hand speed and footwork so it will be very difficult for Nery trying to outbox the champion. Inoue got staggered by Donaire which means it might happen again if Nery lands his heavy shots first. Nery should not fight backwards and try to force Inoue to retreat or at least make the fight at the center of the ring. Or maybe Nery is practicing to fight backwards and tries to land his counters on Inoue. But it's too dangerous to fight backwards because that's where Inoue is too dangerous, hunting his prey.

So he can't really do that. If we look at the previous fight of Inoue, Marlon Tapales was able to land some solid shots from his counter punches, but the problem is the power was not there, can't even rocked Inoue, so I'm expecting that if Nery will do the same strategy, Nery should have the power to hurt Inoue, otherwise, he will suffer the same defeat as Tapales, will last a bit but will still be KO in the end. Honestly, I believe it's hard to beat Inoue, so it's a big problem for Nery on how he can upset the best fighter in Japan.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: Today at 02:15:14 AM
Whether you are a newbie or an old-timer, investing in a new project that has no use case is too risky, and considered like you are gambling. It is not discouraged to try new projects but you must have done research to avoid investing in scam projects. It is not just research but there is trust.
But for me, I shouldn't take much risk with them. There are a lot of old projects that has been known for their profit potential which is highly recommended. Unless you really have the guts and certainty for that project which is not a problem.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should only hold Bitcoin on: April 29, 2024, 11:44:35 AM

That is the issue, "if you are in it for the profits". Exploring alt coins as part of your long term holdings is still gambling and speculating that hopefully you'll hit big or significantly multiple what you've put in. Holding Bitcoin is a long term storage of wealth, and I believe Bitcoin is the only digital currency which will challenge the entire fiat monetary system altogether.
It is gambling if we choose hyped projects and shitcoins but if we are just about to invest in ETH, I don't think is a waste of time and money. Of course, it is a different assurance when choosing Bitcoin as we know that it is more profitable long-term and the belief that it will stay valuable many years from now. As we expect more adaptions, the more it gives us confidence that its price continue to increase as the demand keeps on rising as well. There are regrets in holding this is the thing we should understand rather than get into FOMO and panic when there are FUDs and market decline.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with AI on: April 28, 2024, 09:10:52 AM
I understand your goal point OP but I think we need to be more realistic about AI.
You better not mention a fixed amount as we can't expect every day it will work so will and much more you are suing AI which is just for testing.

Of course you can trade Al if you want but it is very difficult to predict whether you will be very successful in Al investment because of course you have to trade with the risk of Al trade. One who acquires amount of knowledge can definitely get success through Al. Of course, in the case of trade, you need to acquire enough knowledge about trade. If you do not acquire enough knowledge about trade, then you will not get much success. So in trading, you must be patient and trade for a long time. If you trade in this way, you will definitely get success through trading.
There is no problem using AI but the question is if it really works well. Because even OP would say it is but doubts can't be erased knowing that this is trading. At this time, there is no proof that AI has been effective in trading which gives us no confidence. Therefore, it was not just taking high risk but an absolute loss of money. Indeed, we don't need robots but good trading knowledge and skills are very important.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: April 26, 2024, 10:49:58 AM
If those are the words we heard, we'd rather not waste our time and make the effort to introduce Bitcoin. Because whatever happens to them, you are the one who faces the blame even if they are the ones who manage it. We'd rather not invest our time in doing this in the first place, they don't give trust.

This is the fact - not all will be able to listen and open their mind about Bitcoin. Not all people will appreciate our help on giving them opportunity that much more if talks about money as they prefer to stay working than trying new things (investment). In the end, it is useless to recommend this if they are just about to say I'm Not sure.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streaming community are getting worst!!! on: April 26, 2024, 07:09:37 AM
I think we cannot prevent that from happening, and as long as they are not making any illegal thing, they should be allowed to continue doing their thing. They just want people to sign up and make money from their, that's the reality in the world we are living now.

However, we should not condone them because they are just doing their job to earn a living, and as long as gambling is not illegal in our country they have every rights to promote it. What the government should do is to educate people, about the risk of gambling, and IMO, that's the only solution, not ban.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the least risky gambling game at online casinos? on: April 26, 2024, 06:12:54 AM
Skilled based games, focus on those games. I categorized, sports betting, poker and blackjack on that area.

However, I have my personal favorite, I like sports betting and I think I have a decent chance of winning here alhough I haven't achieve it yet.  It should start by believing in yourself and once you enjoy what you are doing , then it will be easy for you to develop yourself by finding the right startegy that will work long term. Try to do more research too, because betting is not about how you feel or emotion based but it shoudl be based on your pure analysis which your skills will be measured.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 25, 2024, 01:29:53 PM
As for the other match Shai got 33 points and all I needed was 26.5 to cover my prop bet. So it is no wonder he could win the MVP award with outstanding performances as he did in last nights game.
Also to mention Chet Holmgren scoring 26 points still in his rookie year is something to note too.

That's the adjustment they made in game 2 because the Pelicans almost snatch a win, but in game 2, OKC did the right thing and have dominated the Peliicans. I like the production of Chet Holmgren, it has gave him that confidence to score 26 points int he playoffs and his 3 point shooting as well is consistent with 50% on that game. 59% for OKC total FG%, thats too high and it seems like the Pelicans forgot how to defend as they allowed the OKC to score 124 points which they are only limited to 92, the same score in game 1, but the difference was the defense.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 12:12:59 PM
I like coach Spo encouragement to his players, making them believe on themselves and allow them to too a shot when they see an opening, it's not a one person game, it's a team and I like Herro here being a facitator aside from his scoring.

I think if Herro continues to perform in the upcoming games as well as he did in the second game of this series, he can almost fully compensate for Butler's absence from the court.
Who knows, maybe the Heat could have even won the title last year if Herro hadn't been injured at the time and performed as well as he is performing now.

The Heat will in the series if they continue to shot well outside, 53% shooting percentage beyond the arc, that's hard to maintain. The problem with the Heat is if they struggle outside, no one would be able to score inside except Adebayo, if they have Butler, he can attack the paint, and could kick out to the outside shooter if someone is open. Well, let's just see what's gonna happen, a coach that are good in making adjustment, that's the team that will win.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 08:29:56 AM
^ Ya, the 3 point shooting performance from the Miami Heat was something else tonight. Boston didn’t have much of a chance against a shooting barrage like that. It isn’t very often you see a team shoot over 50% from three point range. If that’s what it’s going to take for them to win the next game, that’s a tall order…

Yes, the number of three-point attempts and makes by the Heat in this game is impressive. On the one hand, I'm surprised that the Heat without Butler were able to tie the series against the Celtics. On the other hand, even before the playoffs, there was speculation that the Heat could be a nasty surprise for their playoff opponents, and the result of this game confirms it.

They did it once before the playoffs, and now they proved it again. People should not doubting the Heat anymore, they are consistent in the playoffs dispite Butler's injury issue and been inconsistent sometimes. This game proved that when the Heat are moving the ball well, good things will happen.
I remember that time, Jovic also have a great game in that particular meeting and they did it again. I thought that was only in the playoffs since Celtics may not be serious anymore since they already earned the top spot, but at their home court in game 2? This is quite surprising because the Celtics have won 90% or more of their games at home. I like coach Spo encouragement to his players, making them believe on themselves and allow them to too a shot when they see an opening, it's not a one person game, it's a team and I like Herro here being a facitator aside from his scoring.

So let's look forward in game 3, as long as the Heat take the lead in the series, they'll be in a comfortable situation and if this could reach game 7, it's more fun to watch. Herro was the Hero but everyone do their takes, it's a total team effort.

They should win game 3 as that's their home and the Celtics might not be able to to adjust yet. Now, it will be another battle of the minds, the Celtics has to be mentally touch and forget about what happen in game 2, it's just one game anymore and the series is far from over.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t like the term “crypto” on: April 25, 2024, 07:11:09 AM
Crypto would not have that looks and such a bad reputation if there were no scammers that existed in the real world. We blame them as they are the main reason why many people are afraid to invest and think that crypto in general is a Ponzi Scheme. No matter what we do and even if it is not named crypto, these scammers will destroy it.

Might giving a new name is somewhat helping to avoid confusion but most of all, proper education is definitely what we need. More people buy Bitcoin, yet they don't have knowledge about it which still ends up losing them and falling into using fake wallets, exchanges, etc.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People have a complete misunderstanding of Bitcoin. on: April 24, 2024, 12:57:13 PM

What other alternatives might there be to using a public exchange? How can we turn media apps - like Telegram - into private Bitcoin transfer places that might 'push' Bitcoin into private use among a lot more people?

Cool
Unfortunately, with the huge number of scam accusations in media apps especially in Telegram, people think it was not a safe way of buying/selling Bitcoin. They rather prefer to use centralized platforms even if it compromises their privacy. Some people think that the use of government-controlled exchanges is safer than the rest.

Everything went to private transfers if there were no scammers taking advantage of it but sadly, they are ruining this. I'm not sure if this is a sort of misunderstanding because what I see is that they just want safety assurance in all of their in/out transactions.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 24, 2024, 12:19:03 PM
Lifetime job, in my opinion, presupposes a person’s self-identification with a specific type of activity. Defining onerself through one`s profession. I believe that modern realities go beyond this definition, because people have to expand their skills and master something new in order to remain in demand and competitive. A person can consider himself a trader. But this does not mean that he will not have to master other types of activities throughout his life.
I completely agree with that because even if a person is earning good enough money from trading it doesn't mean they can continue to do that forever, and one needs to have some skills that they can utilize in case their current source of income isn't working out for them, and these things happen in life and I say this because I have experienced it myself. You can't rely on a single thing to feed you your whole life, and you will need to find multiple ways that you can utilize when there is a need for you to earn money from a different means than what you do now.

So, even though I agree with the fact that one can earn a living through day trading if they gain enough knowledge and understanding and have enough money to use for it, I also believe that one should be skilled in other things as well because it can't be considered something you can do forever and even if you can, you should still acquire extra skills.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine myself being a trader for 20 years, I'm sure there is a time when we feel bored and tired of doing this every day.
It will say something that even even we are successful in this field, it will be going to happen that we look for something new. Another earning opportunity that will excite us like we felt during our early days in trading. I don't think I am just the one who feels this but I believe that the majority felt the same.
In fact, some people resign from their stable jobs even though they already have higher positions and a huge salary because they are not happy anymore. Because life is not all about money but also, about finding happiness and life fulfillment.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 23, 2024, 03:15:29 PM
Ryan learned his lesson on not forcing himself to make the limit in weight because of the rehydration clause on Tank Davis so he is going to move in up but he should still try the superlightweight and fight Pitbull Cruz so he can at least win one title because he will have a hard time in the Welterweight where is loaded with great names like Boot s Ennis, Errol Spence and of course Crawford if he decides to come back to the Welterweight Division.
His concentration should be on winning a title besides beating big names in boxing so he can attain greatness

I guess now that Ryan had beat  Haney, people will change how they'll see the outcome of the potential fight of Ryan vs Pitbull Cruz. I think the linemakers as well, they'll make Ryan as the favorite to win against the champion. They were rumored to have fight before and I believe Pitbull Cruz was the one challenging him, but after learning how Ryan beat Haney, not sure if it's still a yes or a pass now.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: April 23, 2024, 02:08:40 PM
Those traders who you have highlighted are not scammers. It is not right to call them that. They have been able to  build reputation, gathered the right audience through engaging content, built trust through consistent value delivery, and converting viewers into buyers and mentees. They are the metaphorical shovel sellers in the quote in a gold rush do not dig for gold, sell shovels. The monies they accumulate from the courses, their YouTube channels may now go into placing higher traders although they do not tell us the outcome, it is just what I am speculating.
They don't deserve to be called like that but now, it is too hard to know who is telling the truth and who are scammers because as we observed, scammers are smart, they will make you believe in them due to their promising words. That is why I don't spend time listening to them because that only influences our minds. Yes, some are doing well yet they are just silent and keep low but these scammers, you can boldly see them on social media showing their (fake)trading success. Some people say not all in the social media are true, and they are right.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 23, 2024, 11:19:47 AM
I hope there is data to support whether it is dropping or increasing. But I was still on the positive side that Bitcoin remains eye-catching to those who are looking for an investment. We may not see a huge increase but I was still expecting growing numbers rather than declining numbers.

It is definitely halving creates huge interest in the public. The price may not be too low and a good timing for buying but still gives a chance for new investors to earn. But yes, risk-takers see it as an opportunity while those who are in doubt wait for the next bear season.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When you make mistakes, do not fail to take corrections. on: April 22, 2024, 11:44:33 AM
~
Sometimes you might feel you're making the right points, giving your opinions about some threads but do not feel threatened when someone quote you wrong, try to prove yourself right if you're sure of your points or take corrections if you discover they're right. Note that no one knows it all and there are lots of people on here that might be far more inteligent than you, so sometimes instead of arguing it's best to take corrections and learn.
That is just an opinion, it can be wrong to others or may not but we never argue if someone quoted us wrong or gives some corrections. Because they also have some valid reason to say it was wrong, we need to accept their opinion as well and think if maybe they are right.

Generally, the forum consists of mixed opinions. In fact, you have said that no one knows at all, that is why we don't need to pretend that we know everything and always prove that we are right. Sometimes we need to accept that we are wrong even if we think our opinion is right. Yes, there are intelligent people but that doesn't mean they are always correct, they will also commit mistakes and errors.
