Good for you, just keep HODLing.
Yo but selling at the top is also important. Stubbornly hodling is again bad.

So what you said is that you won the 200 bucks from a single roll, or after accumulation?
You probably missed it but I was the first user on this forum to publicly declare that I was a winner of the 200$ faucet roll. At that time there was a lot of speculation and criticism as to whether 10k number could be rolled in reality or not but I debunked that one fine morning when it came as a surprise to me as well. Here is my thread on my win, shamelessly I promote it  Grin - Got 200$ from Freebitcoin today morning, call that a BIG WIN
4482  Other / Meta / Re: Why only securities have a tagged like this on childboard of Marketplace? on: July 17, 2020, 06:14:40 AM
This message is posted in Securities, Long Term Offers and Investor Based Games among global English boards.

The point is that the projects that are HYIPs/MLMs or likely to be so are moved by the forum administration to these sections but they are not trashed because the justification of being a scam or not depends on the reader and not the mods.

You can be rest assured that you will not find "legal securities" in this section and/or worthy debts in the Long Term Offers sections - very likely you are going to lose money.

Putting them in every section misses the point that people need to be careful. Then it becomes something that you hear everyday and you tend to no longer see the depth of the idea. But opening these subsection to see a warning puts the reader on alert, if they see it in every section where legit users are doing business, they are likely to ignore it even in the "non legit business offers" . Well, who doesn't want to multiply their earnings quicker than their day jobs? Grin
You know I dont want to sound proud but I still have not spent the 200$ faucet roll that I had got completely. I mean I needed to spend coins from my entire stash from time to time for different reasons but I prefer to hold that till bitcoin becomes big in its price and sell it for a nice profit.

I know addicted gamblers cannot stop themselves from playing, they have to do it whatever the odds may be but I feel being able to control your emotions is a strength and can help a gambler in the long run.
4484  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 16, 2020, 10:45:05 AM
To me, bitcoin is just a powerful asset manipulated by whales. so I never believed it had any value, just the waves the whales created to attract more traders to the crypto market. Anyway, I would believe that bitcoin will grow stronger now but it will take a very long time, about 5-10 years.
I would not say manipulated but yes the question of prices and making its price become big is due to the lack of regulation. It is not a bad thing but something that has bothered retail investors and small fund owners. Still it is possible to grow your funds over time with a regular inflow from your salary if you wish to and that is what retail investors do mostly.

That is also the reason why this mentality happens that they are willing to hold their coins, not in reality but in a sense that they earned that money with hard work and not by cheating people.
4485  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 0.2 BTC loan on: July 16, 2020, 07:25:55 AM
Where is the signed message that proves that your account namely - sir_monopoly and your LBC account are operated by the same user?

That is the first step if you want to even pledge yourself as the owner, because it is the only intangible proof. Even then lenders would prefer to receive a collateral for a loan as big as 1800$ of BTC.
4486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happened in the bounty program? on: July 16, 2020, 07:20:17 AM
Yep youre right ,searching before joining is a must, not just that you saw huge bounty reward you will join immediately. If the bounty has low allocation reward pool  but its 100 legit paying , then go join on that bounty.
How do you even know that it is "100 legit paying"? The payment is done after the bounty completes, the projects token gets listed and so on. It used to take like several months upto a year to get those things done and some hunters would end up forgetting how many bounties they had joined in the first place. Roll Eyes

Low allocation does not mean a thing. A failure to raise funds and/or bankruptcy can always occur and the investors will suffer for that, so will the bounty hunters.

Thus the craze fro bounty hunting gradually decreased and without newer methods to secure payments for hunters probably it will never come back up again in a larger scale.

@TheQuin
Any thoughts on integrating hCaptcha in place of the Google ReCaptcha for the faucet rolls? It seems to be much faster in my opinion. Smiley
4488  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 0.2 BTC loan on: July 15, 2020, 06:30:45 AM
If your LBC account is verified then do a personal deal there. Why ask here without posting a signed message that you are the same owner of the account there?

Anybody can impersonate a trusted user on LBC and ask for loan pretending to be that person. This is the internet and the only rule here is verify before trusting.

Alternatively you can get a loan if you offer a valid collateral. Read here the OP and Vod's reply as well- [EDU] The Rule of "No Collateral, No Loan" - IGNORE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
4489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Marletplace for selling ICO cpin/token on: July 15, 2020, 05:54:55 AM
OP, you are not the only one here with such a shitcoin in their bags deepest pockets. Tongue

Several projects have been scoured by bounty participants and investors but truth it they never made is past the funding to get listed anywhere. This is the gamble of the ICOs. You will never have any assurance that they will be listed and that too be traded everyday with a good volume. It is one the risks that you take when buying/earning that coin.

Attempting to sell it on the forum marketplace subsections can be tried but less likely to be fruitful because like the OP there are several users here who are also looking to sell those shitcoins but there are no buyers.

Try some DEXs like EtherDelta which often list every ether token.

Which just raises more suspicion. I wonder if any "noob" ended up doing such a deal and what outcome came from it.

I want to ask about finding a bug in the new website of Fortunejack? Since recently, the campaign under Services is already ended.
What if I can found some bugs, does FortuneJack still give rewards for some bugs? Like some major bugs or based on how dangerous the bug is?
If it is a major bug then you should report it to the representative account personally. It is important that you do not attempt to exploit it and be the white knight in order to save a legitimate company from losing some money possibly.

I am sure if it is a major bug then they will and should compensate you, even if there is no ongoing bug bounty. The campaign was the promote awareness about their new site design and possible minor bugs in it. But major bugs as we know are only caught be debugging experts and not everyone's cup of tea.

Lottery round 252 as quoted by TheQuin has one winner with only 1 ticket. This is so insanely lucky for that guy/girl whoever it is. Cheesy

Can you even imagine getting 0.3+BTC for just nothing but a single lottery ticket?  Grin

That's the dream of everyone, buy one lottery ticket and win the jackpot  Grin. That is why, I always try to buy 1 ticket every week.
In general, I am a fan of lotteries, I also play on the "real life" lottery in my country.
Hey mangun(Grin) , You get 2 tickets every faucet roll.

To buy a single ticket that guy was probably not doing any rolls but did just buy one ticket from the lottery page (?)  Or one of their referrals did exactly one faucet roll Or they rolled 500sats but that too only once.

I am trying to think of the possibilities and the most feasible one seems to be either the first or the second one.
4493  Local / India / Re: CASHAA HACK. Who TF is Kumar Gaurav, BEWARE!! on: July 14, 2020, 10:24:16 AM
Remember the time when Amit Bhardwaj had a full front page advertisement on "The Hindu" about his MCAP scam. He even gave away a free ebook about Bitcoin!! I wonder why this keeps happening. Can't media people find better people?
True that. The media gets paid to post these article and promotional pictures. Can you imagine the amount of money the newspaper takes to do a full page advertisement on a top newspaper of the country? It means that the Advertisers have that money at hand, so you can imagine how much they actually made.

We cant really blame a news media for posting about a scammer. At that time there was little proof of that so probably it was passed off as just another advertisement.

People need to careful that is all I suggest to everyone, to use their own judgement.

How many 4K TVs could you buy if you had more than $4K to buy 4K TVs with?
I would rather save that money and buy something else. Who needs more than one 4K TV for anything to watch? Besides not every cable operator in every country can provide 4k yet so it means either paying for streaming services and/or gathering 4k content from other non-legal sources.

Its a big win I know but lets be logical here, if I win probably I would vault that money or withdraw it right away. Dont want it to go back to Eddie's wallet anymore Cool
4495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 13, 2020, 01:54:05 PM
Good point, it's speculative since the business owners needs to keep information to hide away for government obligations.
They do operate legally. Point is they they would not "hide info" that would become illegal and the authorities would crack down on them. What they do is find loopholes in the system and honestly the governments make systems such that loopholes exist because they also want casinos to operate and generate the revenue taxation. But then why governments make these rules to make it seem that they are not allowing gambling? It is only to appease the people that they are strict and stopping vices. Thats the two sides of the coin.

Quote
But for sure this business is really bringing huge value as more and more gamblers prefers to play online especially now that physical gambling is not open due to this pandemic virus,
Actually the gamblers dont care about pandemic or so. They need to ease their desire to play and thus would do whatever is needed to roll the dice or spin the slots.

4496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My suggestion on Bitcoin adoption on: July 13, 2020, 05:49:00 AM
OP, I dont completely put bitcoin as digital gold. This mentality makes you take wrong decisions in future. Gold is a precious metal. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, keep it like that. Fact that bitcoin grows in value and is limited in supply does not make it similar to gold. Can you "melt" bitcoin and shape it? You cant.

Also it is true that the economic coverage of bitcoin is smaller than fiat currency usage but it is growing and we have to optimistic about the future of such an innovative technology known as blockchain. Probably bitcoin will remain like this but important thing is that you can make money trading on it, holding it for long term to sell and so on.

I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly you are suggesting. It is unnecessary to create this topic if you don't have anything to say. No offence; my thoughts.
People want to express their feeling about bitcoin so I guess its fine and its "Bitcoin Disucssion". If you dont like it then dont post in it. Simple and efficient manner to ignore. Cool
4497  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: July 13, 2020, 05:35:40 AM
Why do you think it is bad for the government to accept crypto?
I don't think because a lot of people are against it and politics involved will be the reason why it will give bad image to the government.
The governments run democracy and in a democracy everyone's opinion becomes important. So now think like this, you are politician who wants to win the vote so you allow crypto in your country but the opposing party comes with a campaign against crypto turning most of the votes against you. What I mean is a politicization of the acceptance of crypto and that can be bad for the ruling party.

Quote
If both parties will educate themselves regarding crypto and blockchain technology, I don't think they will think that crypto is only used for money laundering purposes.
The world would have been much better if educated people were chosen as politicians and the countries would be run by them. Sadly that is not the case in most countries. Hence educating them is not really an option unless them themselves understand the importance.

Quote
Even without crypto, money laundering is everywhere. They just need to learn how to avoid potential money laundering in crypto.
Very likely a impossible thing to do. We would need strict regulation of coins and exchanges and mixers. That would end up driving a lot of the whales away from crypto too and become nothing different from how fiat is regulated. Its a two edged sword but maybe in future there can be better alternatives.

BTW, congrats to @TimeTeller for reaching 5years on this forum yesterday. Wink
4498  Local / India / Re: CASHAA HACK. Who TF is Kumar Gaurav, BEWARE!! on: July 13, 2020, 05:22:18 AM
how the hell do these idiots become spokesperson of crypto in our country?
They never did it actually only in their self-entitled world. They tried to but ended up being bad. I guess it is just a matter of follower-ship there, those who follow Kumar will be his minions but not the rest of the world who have caught the method of how ICOs have dealt in non-legal securities. Reminds me of the RogVer vs Anti-RogVer debates.

If they are trying to set up as spokesperson, they are mistaken. But in country like India where money speaks of course he will have advisors and private investors who will dump the market when they wish to and exit before the retail investors even know about it. Thats how they made money during the ICO craze.

There is also a thread going on here - Hacker stole 336 BTC from Crypto exchange Cashaa
4499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 13, 2020, 05:18:44 AM
However, OP has a good point too. I might agree to him with the reward system if both will be compared. Slots relatively bettee letting you take wins even if jackpot is not hit.
Dice also allows you to take wins even if jackpot is not hit. The special rerolls on slots is what is most important in making some good bitcoins. Otherwise the small wins are just pushes from the casino to make you play more.

Quote
This will delay your playing time and will let you still lose in the end if you are not lucky enough.
It is again comparable to dice where someone is trying to use martingale and get wins in between the total losses end up bigger than the total wins.

Quote
Sometimes winning may depend on luck. Playing hard in dice or slots with tha much luck will let you win in the end and take home a bag of money. This is what scenario is going to happen sometimes in real casino. Few left with bag of money but still more individuals left with little cash left.
Winning is always depending on luck. Without luck an EV- game is not worth going for and nobody know when that luck is going to appear. It is always a game of chance and thus the scenario is that most players lose while some make money, but the biggest winner is the casino itself.
4500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is ICObench dead? on: July 13, 2020, 05:12:37 AM
ICObench is dead.ICOs are dead.
Actually they went through a series of rebranding just because the name of  "ICO" was smeared by a lot of correct accusations. Just like how MLM scams change forms.

ICO>STO Security Token Offering>ITO>IEO was what happened. Next some Initial Blah Blah offering is going to come and continue the legacy.

Again the site was well known and they have probably disbanded and taken time off to venture into other sectors - this would be my assumption. We have seen that ICOs did not just rip of users but also bounty managers and data aggregation sites like these which were dependent on the ICO boom to make money from the traffic.
