Just my luck guys my own team won the Blackjack! My bets on them lost, my predictions on them lost, and I didn't put money down because I thought well, surely we can never win this back to back? And now we did.

Congrats to those who loyally played Blackjack!

Whose birthday did I miss?

dezoel and Juggy in fact, this is not just unique, that they're sorry about stuff they couldn't even control but still decided to pay free money to it. I was one of the recipients too and I wasn't even experiencing any of the problems they were talking about:)

Last time their CEO even gave us back our bets (voided) on a bust for Soccer Blackjack. And then, just randomly send out tshirts and gifts to forum people. It's like a real community, for sports.

4483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 22, 2021, 08:58:12 AM
I continue to do so badly in this pool even though it's the league I bet on the most. I guess now I know why I should just not play anymore:)

Actually, there was Qatar Foundationband Qatar Airways before Rakuten, so Barca have shirt sponsor for 10 years already. In past most Barcelona players were from academy and club didn't spend so much money on transfers and were able to live without shirt sponsor. But things have changed under Rossel - he changed club business model and started buying stars like Neymar for hindreds of millions. And as we see, such model with terrible management doesn't work and club now in huge debt.

Oh actually you're right, I totally forgot about that. I have a burning memory of Unicef on the shirt for so long I forgot all about that as well but there you go. They started fooling around with money and then the money became a problem. They didn't even need expensive transfers already did so well without all the Galacticos of Real.

Lessons will hopefully be taught to them but I have no hope.

Lol, for people like me it is not even that reasonable to use that into the lottery part. If I end up getting all 7 right and they give me 10k? I am taking out that 10k and putting that into my portfolio, I do not even have half of that right now, I once did but not anymore. Which is why I think it is quite understandable that some people may not end up using it like that, just get the 10k and get out is a possible scenario for many people like me.

This system only works if you really want to participate in it, then I do understand that this is a working method, you get money for free and you participate with free money that you didn't spend anything on and you get as many tickets as you can and then you win or lose, but in the end you didn't spend a dime on this test, you are losing out on 10k and that is huge for many people but at least you didn't spend anything.

Ah well I guess then we're not all the same type of gamblers at all;)

I see it like this. The more I gamble, the more I know all about these kinds of promos, and the more I improve my chances to win them. If I just looked at all the promos as pure freebies to only withdraw, I'd never have got to a place where I was winning stuff more often than not;)

But good luck to you:)
4485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 21, 2021, 10:03:19 AM
Any thoughts on tonight's La Liga game? Cadiz are away and the bookies are quite firmly against them at the moment looking at the odds, but I still remember their shock wins last season against fancier teams so I'm trying not to get tempted to play them, maybe with a goal handicap? Or take Draw No Bet?

Real Betis and Cadiz CF are teams in the same category. It is difficult to predict these teams. Because they do not have the continuity of performance. They win against a strong team and lose against a weak team. However, I think the match between Cadiz and Real Betis could be a 0-0 draw.

Goal handicap or draw no bet as I suggested would have won me something but I did end up just staying away, while you were on the money with how hard it was to predict that. I therefore think you're right, bet on them with handicaps all the time and if they're the favorites just stay away.

Trofo and casperBGD

Thanks for the article, unfortunately I couldn't read it (I think I already read 3 FT articles and then they block your IP after that unless you pay for it and I can't do anything on my browser using it from work). Will try read it later on mobile.

This is a strange world in football. I remember 15 years ago English teams like Manchester United and Liverpool were getting taken over and their fans were so angry, and everyone talked about the Barca model of club ownership and that it was the best in the world, that we didn't even need a shirt sponsor, we just put Unicef.

And actually this changed in 2016, when they put Rakuten on their shirt. So in 10 years somehow they went from financially strong to weak, and now even the club fan ownership can't do much about it.

I fear you are right, and FT is right, but well, what can us fans do but continue to support our club through tough times right?

The best scenario for budget players:
Take part in Majestic 7 promotion and win some money, then use the money to wager and get lottery tickets Grin

It's nice to see dice is ineligible for wagering as well, thus we won't have users who "mine" the lottery tickets. We know that dice is a wagering machine!

Couldn't suggest a better way to play, and I know most of us here are budget players:) I did exactly that too in many different ways. Win some money, make a huge huge parlay on sports, and then make the best out of it on casino.

If there was lottery tickets back then I'd have done that for sure.

I totally agree with XLM's case, however if you already have a plan with it at the end of the year then XLM is one of the worthy options. Non-profit projects like XLM can bring quite good returns to investors. XLM benefits greatly with a wide range of applications and is valued for its expertise for the quality of the platform, while XLM's technology is proprietary with little competition.

Funny you should talk about XLM being a non profit and then talk about investors who, of course, are only thinking about profit.

What's the point of having no competition when it's not really even in the same use stage as an ETH challenger? I mean, no offense, but it's when you have competition that you know your product/service is well needed.
4491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do most of you guys only care about partnerships & roadmaps? on: August 20, 2021, 03:06:26 PM
Actually, I have to correct you there. I'm watching a lot of BSC projects and defi on ethereum and what not.

Nobody gives a shit about partnerships anymore. Those are ICO days. Seriously, they can announce a big partnership (these days it's polygon) and price doesn't budge.

Listings. That's what people still only care about. And "token economics" like how much will be airdropped and burnt.

I know, it's really dumb but I tell you, it isn't even as sophisticated as looking at roadmaps:)

It says that Manchester Utd midfielder Jesse Lingard wants to leave the team before the end of the transfer window unless Solskjaer indicates that he is in their plans. And I don't think that Solskjaer will say such thing.

Lingard had a really great season being on loan at West Ham in the last season. He got 9 goals and 5 assists in 16 EPL games. I would like to watch him there again to be honest.

Yeah with all those big buys and possibly more coming, I think he really should go to West Ham permanently. He was playing at his best, he was happy, West Ham was happy, we were all happy for him. He should go there and make a name for himself. OGS will never make him a permanent fixture with all the expensive talents he brought in.

I checked, and I see that the club's debts do not exceed € 1.35 billion, although in reality, the financial affairs of Barcelona are not as bad as they seem, especially with the fact that Messi will no longer burden the financial statements of Barça. Although I cannot deny that Barca has really been living beyond their means for the past ten years, spending more and more money on salaries (much more than others and probably spending was higher than income).

In any case, I do not know the exact figures to operate with facts, but I am almost sure that the figure of 1.3 billion is greatly overestimated, if we talk about the balance (since the Catalans also have a lot of debtors). Anyway, Messi's departure is a great opportunity to start from scratch, working with young players.

I always assume that figures are underestimated, rather than over:) The things people like to hide are usually not good news or debts owed to them, rather hidden costs and liabilities. But I suppose at this point, it doesn't make a difference anymore 1 billion, 1.3 or 1.6. It's just a bad, bad news that we have to find a way around.

Don't forget Superbru picks everybody!
4495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC Volatility More of an Advantage than Disadvantage? on: August 20, 2021, 09:54:16 AM
At the moment, I have to say it's only advantageous to speculators and market makers/takers. Which, for better or for worse, is what the majority of people's involvement in Bitcoin is.

People complain about volatility but as soon as bitcoin becomes stable, people will stop trading it.
4496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the legal status of Bitcoin in your country? on: August 20, 2021, 09:20:42 AM
maybe all countries will carry out different implementations and it is only the readiness of that country to prepare a legal umbrella that can bridge so that they can do things safely.

Sometimes the readiness is made by conditions and circumstance. Japan was the first (or among the first) to really sit down and do a legal framework years ago but it wasn't so much because it was ready, but because it was shocked by what happened with MtGox (which was headquartered in Japan). So it is a lesson that if you aren't prepared, you will be forced to be ready one day.

Here we've the first winner for the grand prize of $10,000. Nailed seven goal scorers out of seven for the round one.

Congratulations to the user. Hopefully, will be seeing many of you doing the same for the rest of the Premier League.
Did FortuneJack pay that $10,000 in Bitcoin or in fiat currency?
Congratulations to this guy who won this seven correct goals, that is epic win!

Now it's turn for someone to win Tesla model 3 and I wonder is there an option to replace the value of that car and instead car take Bitcoin or other crypto?

The terms suggest they pay in Bitcoin. Even in the past when I also won their other promotions and Jackmates (not the whole thing of course, that was never won until this season) everything was paid out in Bitcoin even if the freebet was made in dollars.

Tesla 3 seems so tempting too, and they also pay for costs of transportation (but not tax) so if you ever wanted to buy such a car, you can win and save transport which is a hell of money!
4498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 19, 2021, 03:08:23 PM
But Besiktas have signed him on loan now. He wasn't having too many chances at Chelsea. So I think that he made a really wise choice.
Yep, it is a wise decision. He won't get a chance to play this season. There are two strong strikers in the Chelsea squad, Lukaku and Werner. These two strikers will compete for the CF position if Chelsea strategy just provides 1 CF in the attacking line. So, it is almost impossible for another striker like Batshuayi, to have enough time to play. Moving to Besiktas as a loan player is much better than only sitting on the bench every time.

Have to agree here. Chelsea is too large in their squad but their loan army just got bigger now at Besiktas. Lukaku should get first choice and he will probably get double figure goals this season, which is what all the vast array of attackers at the Blues failed to do last season! Kind of scary on paper but then again we all saw how they played last season:)
4499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- now at: 21/22 3rd Qualifying Round on: August 19, 2021, 02:36:18 PM
PSV Eindhoven did not faced much resistance from Galatasaray and Midtjylland to get to the final stage of the Uefa Champion League qualification round. I think it will be an interesting match between PSV Eindhoven and Benfica today, PSV Eindhoven have scored many goals against Galatasaray and Midtjylland but I think it would not be easy to break down the defense of Benfica when they are playing in their home stadium, I guess this game might ends up with a draw today.

I almost avoided making bets on all the teams last night and and my only regret is removing Celtic from my selections and replacing it with a random football friendly that lost:( It was free insurance from Sportsbet though so I got the bet back as a freebet but sometimes you just have to go with the flow especially at home in Europe. Wasted 2x from Benfica!

There isn't an extra ordinary player in Barcelona right now. There is just players with huge salaries that some of them have to leave the club to alleviate its financial crisis.
About Braithwaite, I don't see big difference between the two honestly except maybe Griezmann having more time? and his name? Now without Messi, both of them have to prove themselves and took a second chance.

I know I'm Barca but I have to slightly disagree. Dembele is a true talent, but we all know his problems with fitness so maybe after this season if they can't find a way to permanently help him we have to rethink the squad.

Braithwaite played with the weight of stars on him so maybe now he is free. And my personal favourite if he gets more chances is Fati!
