Reading the title of the thread first thing I thought was: DUTCH GIRLS!

Are you sure there is enough space on your HDD or that it's not corrupted?

Any way, you can just delete the blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat and start downloading the blockchain again.
No need for a complete reinstall.
Maybe just delete the blkindex.dat and leave the other. <-- Try this first.
Going to watch the video next.

If someone wants to be completely genuine about anti-virus software, why not ask for a government grant to kickstart a FOSS AV program that users are able to download and compile themselves? Then you can absolutely guarantee that your friendly anti-virus isn't burning up the idle time on your GPU.

http://www.clamav.net/lang/en/download/sources/ <-- not commenting on how good it is, but it's open source.
I use that for all my mail servers. It's lightweight and fast.

So do I. Just didn't want to start a discussion that AV's suck, and blah blah blah, hence the part about not commenting Wink

I edited my post. If I pay the shipping or the difference between US/International will I get the free token?
I didn't make myself clear when I asked.
4490  Economy / Goods / Re: New Bitcoin investment coin/token - The Bitcoin Exchange of New Orleans on: May 13, 2012, 02:10:03 AM

4491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tormail issues, Coinapult and BitInstant deposits on: May 13, 2012, 01:58:22 AM
Good to know you guys take security so seriously.
Just asked because tormail is an anonymous service provided by anonymous individuals.
Who knows what those guys are up to. Wink
4492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tormail issues, Coinapult and BitInstant deposits on: May 13, 2012, 01:40:30 AM
Did any of the coins sent to tormail addresses been withdrawn even without the mails reaching the inbox?
Just curious Smiley

Ok...Did all that...Now after I install the new bitcoin. I just replace the new wallet with the old wallet right?

no you have to add the parameter -rescan to the program
after you have replaced the new wallet.dat with your wallet.dat

Not if he's downloading the whole blockchain from the beginning or do as I say and doesn't run it before putting the old wallet.dat there.

Also, newer versions of Bitcoin don't need the -rescan to be passed as a parameter as they do it automatically whenever they find a new wallet.dat in the data dir

I'm always concerned when a company has fancier graphics than products  Sad

I'm always concerned when a website needs jquery to dynamically resize an image...

If you don't run Bitcoin after installing there won't be a wallet.dat on the directory, so you can put the old one in and run it after doing that. That way it will not create a new wallet.dat, it will just recognize that it's already there.
It will only create a new wallet.dat if on the first run it doesn't find one in the data dir.

tl;dr : Right lol

Isn't that how many messages you can store in your inbox?

Yes.

For someone who administers 2 SMF forums he doesn't seem to understand much of what he's administering lol

uh?
Or you say what's this all about or I suspect that it doesn't belong on the "Bitcoin Discussion" board...
4500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My transactions wont confirm... on: May 12, 2012, 11:03:47 PM
Stop Bitcoin, as in close the program.
Press the windows button and on the search field of the start menu write
Code:
explorer %APPDATA%\Bitcoin
and press Enter
On the dir that opens, copy the file called wallet.dat to another location
Delete everything safely if you wish, or in alternative delete everything except the wallet.dat file.
Reinstall Bitcoin

On a side note: I don't think uninstalling Bitcoin will delete any files inside the data dir. Not even sure if the uninstallation procedure asks if the user wishes to delete the data dir.
You'll have to delete them yourself.
