4503  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinswitch.co is a scam stay away from them on: August 19, 2020, 01:53:27 PM
I think there is something wrong either OP is lying or honest. Because there is few more accusation on their announcement thread where they never replied. Although they made verbal accusations without proof, no response means something wrong. They aren't active on the forum for a long time.

Anyway, we will require a few more evidence before tagging them. Upload a few appropriate evidence as suggested by other users.

Everything will be easier if your intention is good. If you intend to learn and contribute, then for sure, you can do it. Lots of newbies even failed to earn single merit due to a lack of contributions. They don't care about forums or contributions, their major intention is just to earn money, to be honest. But you are an example of them who don't believe that it's impossible to build an account by learning and contributions. I have seen lots of newbies become Sr and Hero by their contributions.

So, I will suggest newbies who are struggling to become established members of this forum, fixed your intentions how you are going to contribute yourself. Share your best knowledge and experiences with the community and ask your problems and what you want to know. Share each other and help each other. Hope that's how we may build a better forum.

4507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian tool will make your transactions transparent on: August 18, 2020, 01:39:36 PM
I have read the articles, but not getting the points on how they are going to reduce the anonymity of the cryptocurrency transaction. How artificial intelligence will collect data that aren't in the blockchain? Those data available on the blockchain it's already public. And I don't think we should worry about this artificial intelligence. We have some other way to protect our anonymity. It wouldn't be a threat for crypto users IMO.
4508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blackmail E-mails on: August 17, 2020, 06:52:14 AM
Crazy scam attempt. Just don't send any funds to the scammer. Somehow he hacked your email address and know the password. It doesn't mean he has all of the details about it or you did anything wrong. Even you pay him then he could blackmail again and again if he has your videos or something similar. So better to ignore and let him do whatever he wants to do. It seems this is a scam template.
4509  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto scam exchanges and fake p2p transactions on: August 17, 2020, 06:26:38 AM
At the beginning of choose exchange, you have to choose the right one. Such as scam would be avoided by using common sense. I know there are some scam tricks which aren't very easy to detect, but most scam methods are very well-known lately. Peoples like HYIP, you can see on Yobit, there are lots of traders as well. Do you think they don't know about their HYIP tricks? They know, but they want to take advantage, someone succeeds & some failures. That's how scammers keep continuing their scam business. To be honest, we can't control ourselves once there is free money or greedy offers. That's the main prevention to prevent scams. About peer to peer trading, I will discourage to make any deal face to face especially during dealing with bitcoin.
4510  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Clicking Google Ads can lead you to huge looses - Uniswap customers on: August 16, 2020, 01:43:15 PM
Google never filter scam or phishing site unless there is no report. When you are going to do a financial deal then we have to be more careful. Why should we depend on Google ads? If you are using a site then bookmark it if you can't remember the site address. We are using smartphones and computers, so we should improve yourself as a smart guy as well. Scammer gets success due to our stupidity. Everyone knows about the most of scam methods, but likely we just ignore to learn.
4511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 and Bitcoin on: August 16, 2020, 08:23:46 AM
We noticed the bitcoin crash at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was happened due to a massive sale. But slowly it was recovered and we have been seeing a very good movement currently. It's because most likely people want to keep their assets on their hands instead of keeping on a third party. It would be easier for the sale during emergency situations. On the other hand, there are not many opportunities to invest your money in real life due to pandemic. Invest in bitcoin is quite easier by comparing with other investment opportunities. I believe that's the reason why bitcoin is uptrend even during this pandemic.
4512  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Swapzilla Exchange give free 0.1 BTC scam or legit on: August 15, 2020, 04:55:03 PM
Why this exchange is too curious about KYC? It's quite suspicious to me that they are offering referral commissions for submitting KYC. If a single user gains 1 BTC by complete everything including own KYC & referral KYC then he/she will get up to 1 BTC. Just imagine 100K users hit 1 BTC, so there will be 100K BTC as well. If they trade each other then somehow the exchanges will have to withdraw 100K BTC. Because if you lose on the trading the funds will go to other traders, so according to the exchange gainer could withdraw funds. That's how the exchange has to give withdrawal 100K BTC which is more suspicious to me.

I don't want to judge or damage their reputation, but use your common sense before making any deposits this exchange. If they never give your withdrawal from earning then you will just waste your time. But if they never give withdrawal after making a deposit then you will lose your valuable assets.
4513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is SegWit and LN adoption still low today? on: August 15, 2020, 04:36:40 PM
As we know revolution doesn't happen in one day. Still, lots of peoples don't know bitcoin technology properly even they are using bitcoin. We can see bitcoin hadn't become popular just within a day or year. Its taking time and I believe SegWit and Lighting network will be popular once a time, so it's just a matter of time.

Everyone knows the main reason is the prevention of SegWit and Lighting, 'lack of uses'. Most of the exchanges/merchants still do not support SegWit and Lightning. So even we want to use it due to the nature of exchanges/merchants we are forced to use Legacy or nested SegWit. I think that's the main problem why both of them didn't become popular. We have to wait for more to see its adoption.
4514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto currencies are getting dangerous on: August 15, 2020, 06:42:34 AM
Every centralized exchange enforcing for KYC, not every exchange. When a new exchange launch, then we raise questions from which country its registered, is it have a license from the government? But we forget that, if a centralized exchange operates belongs to the government's license then there will have some rules regulations, and its outcome is KYC. Exchanges likely forced by governments to comply with regulations to prevent fraudulently.

However, it wouldn't prevent your financial freedoms if you do not use them. It's not mandatory to trade on an exchange, bitcoin wasn't built just for trading. It's a peer to peer decentralized cryptocurrency. Still now it's decentralized and it will remain. Problems are with centralized exchange which you would avoid.
4515  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BitMex demanded KYC documents. on: August 15, 2020, 06:26:50 AM
This is the disadvantage of a centralized exchange. Today or tomorrow they would ask about your KYC if it belongs to their terms and conditions. A mixed coin shouldn't trackable from where it came. I hadn't used Wassabi but seems according to other users, it's traceable if you use Wassabi mixer. If the transaction is that it has come from Wassabi then what are the benefits of using a mixer?

Anyway, there is no way except complying with their requirements. Try to explain after complete verification and come out from there. I will suggest such as mixer where the transaction is traceable from which mixer funds came from.
4516  Economy / Reputation / Re: @rorschach1 trying to sell his account on: August 14, 2020, 05:47:34 PM
@Coolcryptovator, you should be very careful with these "telegram chats", someone might flag your account and then we will have another forum drama, just like it happened with Bob123.

Read that topic and you will get the picture.
I have to admit, still, I have to learn. Thanks for the good advice.

Anyway, actually my motive him to make aware that account sales are disliked by forum members. I can't recall exactly, a few days back happened the same case and leave neutral feedback for him. I Hope the seller already learned about it.

Changing feedback to the neutral as a second chance since the account not yet sold.
4517  Economy / Reputation / Re: @rorschach1 trying to sell his account on: August 14, 2020, 04:10:10 PM
Anyway, I will try.

I have contacted with the seller, below is the details of chat history. Really she is going to sell her two account which she has confirmed with me via forum PM.

Here is the forum PM screenshots (I would verify with moderators if needed).

Account sent PM to me are,
1. rorschach1 - Hero Member
2. CryptonikaTrade - Full Member.

Tagging both account for now.
4518  Economy / Reputation / Re: @rorschach1 trying to sell his account on: August 14, 2020, 03:10:56 PM
Still, we need more evidence to tag the account. My telegram username is already public, if anyone made a post with my telegram username regarding account sales then it doesn't make sense. Someone should make a conversation with him via telegram and ask him to send PM via forum account to be confirmed. I think he knows all of the DT members who are tagging for account sales, so someone from non-DT should contact with the seller.

Anyway, I will try.
4519  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: August 14, 2020, 08:46:36 AM
Thanks @zasad for invite me for the interview.
Coolcryptovator - Self Made Hero Member.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
To be honest I noticed bitcoin on 29/05/2016. Are you wondering how recalled the exact date? Then have a small story. At the beginning of 2016, I was looking for "how to earn online", then learn from YouTube about the PTC site. Then first joined was on Paidvert, and from there I noticed payments method bitcoin. Just now I logged in and discover my joining date from there. Although I didn't become interested in there, but I start research from there what is bitcoin. You can say I was stupid at that time, I avoid bitcoin to use on paidvert once I discovered its volatility. Then slowly I start joined a few more similar sites earning dust by using fiat money PM (perfect money). After approx e month, someone invites me to join rev-share, honestly I wasn't aware that time that rev-share just a Ponzi scheme. Believe it or not, I learn the "Ponzi" word after joining this forum. However, I become interested in bitcoin from the rev-share sites, I made deposits using Payza and tried to withdraw in BTC. Because Payza had a dispute option if incase Ponzi run out within 40 days. So if I withdraw in bitcoin then they can't dispute my funds. That's how I become interested in Bitcoin.

2. When and why did you when you buy your first bitcoin?
No, I hadn't bought bitcoin. As I told above, I withdrew bitcoin from rev-share and start using it. Very rarely I buy bitcoin, even can't remember my last buy. You can say bitcoin favor me, once I start using it then I had profited from it. I will describe below since that's related to your other questions. But of course, I won bitcoin in the middle of 2016.

3. How did you get on the forum?
Good question, after the end of rev-share there was a trend of ICO like lending platforms and so on. Since I learned about the rev-share scam, so before buying any ICO token I had to bother to read their social media feedbacks and comments since I wasn't an expert during that time. So you know very well Bitcointalk ANN thread link also attached with social links on the ICO website, so I read also comments from the forum and that's how I found this forum.

4.1. Why did you start working as a bounty manager? Is this a hobby or your main job?
I will be honest about it, some of the forum members inspired me to become a bounty manager. Then I had been trying to get campaigns and got a few small campaigns as well. Most likely some of you may know I have been working abroad (KSA). So I have managed a bounty campaign as a hobby. It's been 14 years since I am working on KSA, and recently I am leaving my jobs due to bad conditions and have a plan to start my own business in my own country. Probably the next week I will be in my home country. So still bounty management will be my hobby or you can say passive income. It was never my main job and it will remain as same. I have some capital which is more than enough to start my own businesses.

4.2. How do you pick out the projects you work with? Do you agree to work for payment in project tokens?
In the beginning, I had contact with the project and convinced to run a campaign on the forum. Few projects contact me as well to run their campaign. If I believe the project is potential at the beginning then I pick the projects to run their campaign. I didn't work for tokens, a brand new token is worthless for me. So, I will not work for worthless token and will work for bitcoin payments.

4.3. Tell us what parameters of candidates do you look at when recruiting them for a signature campaign?
First I notice their posting behavior, earn merits, reputation, and contributions. Spam on the mega thread is an immediate red flag for me because it's just a repeat of other answers. I always try to avoid such as participants who are just made a post to get pay instead of constructive discussions. Usually recruit participants according to projects expectation. For example, gambling sites look for participants who are posting on the gambling section. So I recruit who usually making posts on that appropriate section with the above criteria.

4.4. What is the risk of a bounty manager and what is his responsibility?
Risk is losing reputation if the project turns in to scam. Responsibility is to choose the best project and ensure participant's rewards for the campaign. For the forum, its manager's responsibility to keep the forum spam free, make sure that my participants aren't spamming on the forum and encourage them to make quality discussions.

4.5. Does the forum need to set additional rules for signature campaigns?
I had proposed few guidelines for the bounty campaign/managers although it wasn't only for the Signature campaign.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
It was a real-time decision made by the forum admin about implementing the merit system to prevent spam from the forum. Merits are filtering brilliant users from thousands of spammers. For the merits system, good contributors getting advantages from the Signature campaign which is desirable to me. Merit is encouraging to create quality content on the forum, so it wouldn't harmful for the forum in any sense.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
The most useful topic to me is, [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread . Most useful members? Those help others always.

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
A) Increase the security system of the user's accounts like 2FA or something similar. B)Add some new moderators where necessary like Beginners & Help boards. C) New ranks who have earned more than 3000 merits.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
Did both at a time. But for now, nothing. Holding some shitcoin and waiting to recover.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
I have remembered, I had bought some lending ICO token which was approx $100 worth and I sold then after a month for $1800. But lost more on the trading, bought some shitcoin approx 1.4BTC and now become 0.1BTC and that's the reason I am not trading now.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
Just now learned about DEFI ecosystem. So, in short answers, DEFI could rule the future financial ecosystem although I am not sure after how many years it will happen.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
For me, you can say vital necessity, because where I am staying (abroad) currently, bitcoin is illegal. In my home country, bitcoin is illegal. So, where anything related bitcoin I have to hide my identity somehow. You can ask, why I have mentioned my current location then? Because I am leaving this country within a week. So I feel there wouldn't be a problem.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
Book? Never read.

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
1. Bitcoin, 2. Bitcoin, 3. Bitcoin

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
I am not a good predictor, but the price would be between $10K to $14K. I am not expecting more than $14K at all.

15. P.S. (Optional)
"If you want to be the happiest person in the world, lower your aspirations"
4520  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Avodron Runs a ponzi scheme on: August 13, 2020, 03:20:18 PM
Asking for a deposit to withdraw your funds itself is a scam attempt. Any legit site wouldn't behave like this. On the other hand, a 10% daily return is an obvious Ponzi scheme. I am pretty sure its just a stupid scam attempt. Probably initial bonuses to attract depositors to make a deposit.

Anyway, supported flags & tagged as well.
