What's with KeepKey? Did they had any Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals this year?

You should read this thread before you even start to consider buying KeepKey. Long story short, the support is terrible and you will quickly get frustrated. You might not even be able to use its dedicated software without going through KYC. It's basically a worthless black brick as stated in the thread's subject.

Well that's a good read, thank you.
The only time I'd consider taking KeepKey is if they offered a $5/piece deal like they did for last year’s Black Friday promotion. For that amount, I would take it for testing purposes at least. Wink

4503  Other / Meta / Re: Hate speech against unpaid avatars on: November 28, 2020, 09:50:12 PM
Or do not join a campaign that requires the avatar to be occupied.

It's not too much of an option, is it? Wink

As someone whose unpaid avatar has been bowdlerized0 due to its explicit implications, I am deeply offended by your blatantly microaggressive prejudice against people who do not sell out their avatars for money.1

Hateful words can hurt!  With your toxic exclusionary attitude, it is as if you would erase us from existence!  😭

Far too many big words for my taste and this kind of interaction.  Wink

What hateful words? I'm just stating the facts; there's not a lot of campaigns that don't require a custom avatar. Don't you agree with that?

Judging by Coinbistro.com (Epochtalk testing ground) I don't think they're considering it anymore.
Epochtalk! I wonder when and how we will move there. Very less hope in this from me however even if we do migrate this would not be easier to migrate from one platform to other consider the huge data SMF already have.

I strongly believe in "Where there's a will - there is a way". But is there a will?

Congratulations on your Member rank. Good luck.  Wink

Many thanks to you! I am confident that your support will be justified.
Keep the thread open, and see you again.

The forum is all about enjoying one's freedom and I do not think admin/s will ever bother about something which in fact is something they sometimes consider removing for good.

Judging by Coinbistro.com (Epochtalk testing ground) I don't think they're considering it anymore.
4506  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Black Friday Promo 2020 on: November 27, 2020, 01:19:07 PM
From a 33% discount when the price was low to 20% off promo code when the price is approaching its ATH, I think they are heading in the wrong direction. This deal is bad.
I expected the percentage to reach 40% or 50% if more than one device was requested.

Or at least there will be a repeat of what happened in 2017 ( Pay for 2. Get 3. | Black Friday 2017 )

Maybe they will offer something better for Cyber Monday? I was expecting more from Trezor for the Black Friday promotion, especially when I saw the offer for Ledger.

I would really like to equip myself with one hardware wallet and the Ledger shop is not appealing to me given the recent incidents.

I appreciate what you're doing, Ratimov. Young members of this forum need this kind of encouragement to become more actively involved in this community.

I found this news at cryptonews.com. Reportedly, ShapeShift is going with another round of $5 KeepKey as a special Black Friday / Cyber Monday offer.
Does anyone know anything more about this? When does the sale start?

4509  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 27, 2020, 12:58:25 PM
Are there any better deals for the Trezor hardware wallet on Black Friday? I was expecting a bigger discount at the official shop, maybe there will be something for Cyber Monday?
4510  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want more or less freedom? on: November 27, 2020, 12:35:54 PM

I've read in some comments that Loyce is an AI so the ban Loyce should also count for ban bots.

Nah, LoyceV is more like a 'super bot', an AI that controls many bots. Just look at how many sock puppet accounts he has!
4511  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want more or less freedom? on: November 25, 2020, 09:20:30 PM
Just don't let Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg takeover Bitcointalk forum

Too late. Have you been to the bounty board? It's all just twitface links.

Please add "Ban users who submit proof of authentication and report posts" to your poll questions. Wink
4512  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 25, 2020, 09:06:11 PM

If the forum followed a democratic pursuit in regard to rule-making then you would see it fall to the ground. How many accounts do you think would allow for the proliferation of increasingly shady scams?

I understand you and I agree with you to some extent. I'm not suggesting that central authority is inherently a negative thing for this community. However, it would also be nice to have a transparent procedure on some topics.

As far as I can understand, the whole concept of decentralized currency and blockchain technology is based on that principle, right?
4513  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want more or less freedom? on: November 25, 2020, 08:56:51 PM
Almost any rule or regulation takes away a part of the freedom of the individual. But, could we live in a society without rules?
Where do we draw the line between freedom of expression and anarchy?
4514  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 25, 2020, 08:44:18 PM
Maybe it would be a good idea to organize some kind of petition? If enough people agree with this idea, maybe the forum administrators will react and introduce some kind of rule or restriction for bounty campaign organizers.
Here you go.

I see that you find voicing people's opinions to be a kind of mockery or folly. It's nice to be part of a privileged minority, isn't it?
4515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will social mining replace bounties? on: November 25, 2020, 06:51:19 PM
What do you think about it and can DAO Maker invention replace bounty campaigns in the future?

I can't say that I'm familiar with the concept of social mining, but as far as I know, there have been bounty campaigns on this forum since the very beginning. Companies and projects will always enjoy the benefits of this form of promotion.
4516  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 25, 2020, 06:42:53 PM
What benefit would it bring to the forum?  If the answer is "None.  It would only benefit me" then it's probably safe to assume it's not going to be a priority for the staff here.

We, all together, make a bitcointalk forum. The voice of the community should have an impact. Staff and admins cannot exist without us just as we cannot exist without them.

Maybe it would be a good idea to organize some kind of petition? If enough people agree with this idea, maybe the forum administrators will react and introduce some kind of rule or restriction for bounty campaign organizers.

I successfully accessed my qoinpro wallet at:
https://panel.qoinpro.com/

But when I tried to withdraw funds (around $50 in BTC) I got the message "The amount provided is less than the minimum amount that can be sent." Wink
Of course, there is no information anywhere about the "minimum amount that can be sent"!
4519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As the markets remains bullish; Do the right things on: November 24, 2020, 06:03:12 PM
we have entered the bull cycle, of course day trading will only make mistakes,
because maybe a coin will skyrocket, so you are right, holding is one good way for now.

Or we will have a big correction soon so that we can buy back at lower rates if we sell now.
My point is that no one can predict market movements, so it is irresponsible to offer any investment advice with no concrete arguments.

Trezor's for sure going to put something out similar.

TREZOR is at 20% off as far as I know.
