Any price speculation for the year 2018  Huh
can we reach golem price
Sure, Golem price is actually where most predictions stem from. We're looking at a price of around $1 to $1,20 by August 2018, maybe a little higher. Who knows what will happen beyond that though. Will probably stay stable until the commercial platform goes live, at which point we can start making realistic predictions based on adoption rates and network fees.
4502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: October 31, 2017, 08:31:55 PM
why are you looking to assets only?
First time in the crypto world  that a coin get visa program manager, this will be used for spending a lot of crypto currencies, in shops everywhere over the world, this is world news
There'll be plenty of these cards in the long run anyways.

I invested a significant sum because I was expecting to participate in the gigantic amount of revenue the fees are going to produce.

And now this aspect is completely gone and Kris apparently claims that there would be "absolutely no point" in this anyways.

Which makes him look very dishonest, since the fees will add up to hundreds of millions to several billions in yearly revenue that are now 100% going to the MCO foundation and 0% to token holders.

Of course there's no point in sharing the hundreds of millions and potential billions of yearly revenue from Kris' point of view.

But the token holders just got screwed real hard if this will be the state of affairs.

O-ho, firstly they stopped sharing the revenue, next step is to stopping working.
Why should they work hard for hundreds of millions, if these millions could work for them...
You can bet that there are countless of ICOs who go precisely that route.

I don't think MCO is one of them, and I still hope that Kris simply didn't think of the possibility of a legal workaround for the sharing of revenue.

But we'll have to wait for his official statement on this matter.

If the fees go 100% to the MCO foundation and 0% to token holders I'll dump my investment during the next pump though.
4503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is humanity gone? on: October 31, 2017, 08:29:23 PM
Gone..
Too much human killing human nowadays
Without thinking that they deserve a life too.
That's just one example
Really? we are living in the quietest and safest moment in history. Centuries ago more people were dying every day than now in a week. The difference is nobody new about them, they were dying in the forests attacked by bandits or wild animals and nobody new or cared. There were no medical records and no autopsies and nobody cared to look for missing people wit dogs, thermal cameras and helicopters.
Nah, don't you member ye good ol' days? When everything was better? And a simple flu could take your life?
4504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS or WAVES or ARK? on: October 31, 2017, 08:24:55 PM
IMO perfect time to buy waves. Very very very undervalued with amazing innovations on the way
Do we know when? I can't find the new DEX on the updated roadmap for 2017 or 2018, but I have seen some screenshots.
4505  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money can buy happiness? on: October 31, 2017, 08:23:57 PM
not at all. Happiness does not depend on money. It is more like a psychological thing which is more connected to the human minds. Don't you think so?
No amount of money can buy you a peace of mind. What good is temporary happiness if there is an uneasy feeling settling in the back of your mind? The same can be said as far as love is concerned. Money can buy whatever you desire,  but can never buy you love, or a peace of mind.
Without a peace of mind, your happiness will only be temporal. Without love, your lust can only take you so far, you can pay him/her to please you, but you can't pay them to love you. Love, and peace of mind can only be obtainly genuinely,  and truthfully.
Money does make the world turn, but the act of bartering, which money rests it's foundation upon will always fall short because of vanities emptiness.
Glad to see someone gets it on this forum.
4506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: October 31, 2017, 08:18:46 PM
Here's an example since you guys don't seem to be capable of Math.

Assume you own 10,000 MCO tokens. That is 0.001% of the total supply.

Now fast forward about a decade. MCO has become a giant and earns a yearly revenue of 1 Billion USD in platform fees (transactions, ATM withdrawals, conversions, etc.).

Since you own 0.001% of the tokens, you are entitled to a share of 1 Million USD.

This is what was promised and will no longer be delivered. And Kris says this is "pointless", which makes him either clueless, or dishonest. I hope it's the first and that he's going to find a workaround for this, like SONM already did, but I'm not having any hopes for this after his statement.

Kris states that with 100k card users all of the tokens for sale today will be locked up for the use of a "premium" card. So this could mean a decent demand for the token. if the token reached $100 the 10,000 mco in your example would be worth $1,000,000

Only if another 100k people try to get an additional 100k cards. Which they won't if the amount of tokens required stays the same (since it'll be too expensive). And if the amount of tokens goes down, the value increase will be less.
But all that aside, this was always going to be a thing from the start, on top of the share of fees.

I hope You will bring this question to the LIVE Q&A with Kris
I'm not sure when the Live Q&A is, but the question has already been redirected to Kris.
4507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: October 31, 2017, 08:02:10 PM
Been patiently holding this coin for a while now. I think it must be time for a double up at least Smiley

Sadly there is no reason for the pump. There might just be too  much hype for this token which is why there are just so may here who are going to dump SNM once it goes back to more than $0.10. More users right now are trying  to have some stash who will also dump, this token may seem to take more than a year or two before it will spike up to $0.30

If you really think that, you should read their whitepaper and roadmap, this coin will be over 1$ before Q4 of 2018, and over 5$ before Q4 of 2020
It's really hard to tell if people are genuinely clueless or if they are deliberately trying to manipulate public opinions... It's pretty obvious that we'll crack 30 cents much earlier than 1-2 years.

based on the amount of shit I've read on this forum, I'm guessing it's the first one. It's not that people are stupid, it's that they're too lazy to actually put in the work and read up on a project, or to google the team members, or whatever. It's easy to determine the potential once you read basically everything there is to know about a business and its managers
Yeah it really is surprisingly easy to identify investment opportunities. Takes a lot of time, but it's not hard at all. I spend most of my days researching markets and doing very basic Math to estimate portfolios.

The recent MCO announcement just showed how little attention people pay to details though. No more fees to be paid out to token holders and people act as if it was no big deal. I guess a share of a potential multi-billion dollar pot is no big deal, eh?
4508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 10 UPCOMING ICOs 2017 Q4 on: October 31, 2017, 07:57:26 PM
thank so much i will join to bounty campaign of project that you showed
I recommend doing more research, there are better projects out there.

hello friends, give me some methodes to research an ICO, so I can know an ICO is good / potential or not. I am very confuse to choose, too many ICO in this year
Analyze the Whitepaper and every bit of information that the team presents very carefully. Does it make sense? Are there any gaps? Did they properly analyze their target market? What are their competitors? What are their advantages? How likely is it that the project will succeed? If it succeeds, what will the revenue be in 1-3-5-10 years? Is there any point in owning the token?

Just ask as many questions as you can think of. The more questions you ask and try to answer the better you will get at this. There is no fixed way to check which projects work and which don't, which is why diversification is important. Also, don't invest in anything you don't understand 100%.
4509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: October 31, 2017, 07:49:19 PM
Haha 500k$ is by far the most optimistic prediction I've heard so far. I personally would be surprised if it will be worth more than 20k$ in the next few years.
You're in for quite a ride then. Wink

300 K for 2 mansions ?   maybe in arkansas or somethin lol .. Im in new Jersey, your  lookin at an easy 250- 300 K for a decent 3/4 bedroom house.. The cost of living in the northeast, cali and hawaii are crazy expensive .  Im 33, I dont think i could retire off a million at this point in my life livin in jersey.. No doubt i could buy a nice crib paid in full and get a nice whip .. say i really splurged on a  nice house and truck for $500,000 and say i live to 65 with the other $500,000... that leaves me with $42 a day, that shit aint gonna cut it !  And thats without me paying any taxes on the million i made

Nono, 1 Million is definitely enough, you're trolling! Roll Eyes
4512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: October 31, 2017, 07:45:40 PM
You're either illiterate or trolling. But whatever, enjoy living in a dump in some run-down city.

I think you are trolling here and if you pay 300 to 500k USD for a house in an apartment you are definitely scammed. I can buy 2 mansions with that money. Enjoy your life in Hollywood or wherever expensive you live.
A house in an apartment? I wish I could get an apartment with a whole house inside for only 300-500k. But thanks for clarifying that you don't understand the real world.

So your are saying that because we dont get any of the revenue the token is worthless? but if a company make millions and billions how is it the token is worthless? i dont know anything just want to hear your opinion
If the company makes millions and billions and the token doesn't grant you a way to participate in its profits, the token is useless.

For example, if I make 100 Million a day and create a token and give it out to people, the token might get some sentimental collectors value if I was a popular figure. But other than that it would be worthless, since it won't give you any slice of my 100 Million.

During the ICO, the MCO token granted you a slice of the pie. Since today's news it no longer does. So all the money that MonaCo will earn will go to Kris and his team. Not to the token holders.

Electricity isn't a difficult problem to solve.

But life without memes or Youtube? Worse than hell.
4520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: October 31, 2017, 06:41:26 PM
The best way to increase your portfolio is to invest in in ICO,but with caution,am always picky with ICO to,I ensure I do y personal study on the project and what they have to offer, lots of scam in ICO this day unlike a year ago
There is no one best way for anything. And ICOs are not always the best way to accumulate coins either.
