4502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: September 12, 2017, 04:29:53 AM
As the age of cryptocurrency comes into full force, it will facilitate a subversively viable taxation avoidance strategy for many of the technically savvy users of peer-to-peer payment systems. In doing so, cryptocurrency use will act to erode the tax revenue base of national jurisdictions, and ultimately, reposition taxation as a voluntary, pay-for-performance function. In this post, I cover some of the benefits such a strategy will have for cryptocurrency investors, why our notion of taxation is ripe for disruption, and why cryptocurrency taxation is enabled by default.

I agree that this growing use of crypto will actually diminish the tax revenue to a significant level. Transactions using Bitcoin for example does not have to go through any central agency anymore, thereby removing the possibility of being tracked for tax purposes. But if you say that taxation will have to be repositioned as voluntary, it will effectively kill the government. It is not good. Only 1 of 100 might do the voluntary payment.  Grin

It will diminish the tax, but when you used bitcoin but when you convert it to fiat, then tax again is applied. It is good that with this new  cryptocurrency, it brought many changes the way we transact online with convenience and ease.
What you are talking about diminishing your own taxable income is completely an illegal thing to do and you know that. What is up with you people? Thinking that it is good that you are not tax by your government? To keep it straight we all have our own obligation to pay each of our taxes that is burdening us, and if we don't do it we might be suffering the consequences like a stricter taxing system or even a higher penalty for people who evade taxes, Bitcoin earnings are still taxable and we still need to help our country.
4503  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Taxes on: September 11, 2017, 02:45:00 PM
If one could declare it as normal income that would be great, tax rate is low, but bitcoin gains most likely qualify as capital gains, same as forex trading or stocks trading and tax rate is much higher.

Don't really know how someone would declare Bitcoin Cash, it can be qualified as dividends from bitcoin or even as a donation or gift.

Luckily my goverment still forbid bitcoin usage so I can use bitcoin without pay any tax
IMO, even if my goverment one day legalize bitcoin usage, they must not applied tax on bitcoin since bitcoin basically is not a currency but it's a virtual currency
Government cant tax bitcoin directly but they can able to impose taxes on the service which do accepts bitcoin in short even if they would accept or adopt bitcoin they cant directly impose taxes to its users thats why other government do really have this kind of restriction when it comes on bitcoins adoption to their place. Its a decentralized thing and no one can able to control it.

Let's think for a moment about what this means. Bitcoin and similar convertible virtual currencies are property for tax purposes. As with other types of property, first one acquires property, often by exchanging cash for the property. Then one owns the property for a period of time. And then eventually one might sell or give away or trade or otherwise dispose of the property. So with any type of property we have three moments in time: acquiring the property, holding the property, and disposing of the property.
What are you talking about the tax rate being lower if you declare Bitcoin as your normal income? As far as I know tax income rates vary from how much your earnings are (on most countries), not depending on what kind you earn. And yes Bitcoin cannot be tax by the government directly but it is still the obligation of the tax payer to reflect it into their annual tax report in its current Fiat equivalent to avoid being audited by the government, remember it is how much your earn not what kind of money you gain it from.
4504  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: September 11, 2017, 12:56:03 PM
Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink
Cashless society is like a dream for every individual but it is not impossible to happen. Yes, it is better in some ways like reduction of Criminal activities, hassle free, no more long transaction at the office. On the other hand, it will make people more dependent with technology, less socialization less interaction with others. Nevertheless, it will be really helpful. Everything has its own advantages and disadvantages anyway.
In my own opinion we are living in a cashless society now in which we have the option to use other modes of payment outside of the fiat currency which is credit cards, debit cards, Paypal, and Cryptocurrency but I don't think that we can really eliminate the use of our very own Fiat currency as it is the very proof that your wealth exist, we are not prepared in some kind of transition in which we eliminate Fiat currency as not all of the generation living today are not technologically inclined individuals and adapting from it might take some time.
4505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: September 11, 2017, 10:07:22 AM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?

Bitcoin is what we make of it. But we can't make Bitcoin do things it can't. It can be used as currency for buying some things online, for some online gambling, and remittance. It is an asset, an investment. But we have to admit that right now it cannot meet our macro economic needs. It cannot substitute a country's economic budget from billions of dollars to bitcoin. It cannot finance countries that needs to lend money like IMF does. It cannot even meet our micro, personal economic needs. Bitcoin is still not at the stage to be used in grocery shopping or commuting. But it doesn't mean that Bitcoin doesn't have the characteristics of becoming a currency that can meet our every needs. Just give it time.
This is the same argument used against gold and yet gold was able to take care of all of the economies of the world for thousands of years, there is enough bitcoin to manage the whole economy of the world the real issue of bitcoin is that it cannot manage that amount of transactions and that is why we got segwit as a scaling solution.
I think bitcoin is not just an asset. It is more than that, because one’s assets can be increased while doing some other business and the assets it self will never grow. But in the case of bitcoin the themes is different, because it is also an asset and a business as well.

If someone buy bitcoin and hold in his wallet after some time his wallet will become heavy due to increase in the price of bitcoin.
For you information normal currencies which are called fiat currency are considered assets, what do you want them to be in the first place? You consider your fiat currency as some kind of liquid asset, in short being a liquid asset is the most acceptable kind of asset. And what are you even arguing about? Bitcoin is invented as a currency in the first place and all of you just keep re-mentioning about its uses as a currency, the important thing here is that Bitcoin as an asset has a really good growth potential compared to money.
4506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: September 11, 2017, 04:22:55 AM
Yes it already secured it's position in the year 2017, many people are now days looking some thing new in their daily life so my though is government should elaborate bitcoin technology through out the world wide and make announcement that bitcoin can use able like gold. Bitcoin is completely digital currency and is limited we cannot able to mine more than that like gold.
My thoughts here would be as Bitcoin becomes morr popular and as many people are getting connected here, it will surely increase and people will earn more from here. When you earn more and trade more, its value increases more.
I don't think that the government can do such claim as "Bitcoin is the next Gold" because there is no assurance that it will ever be.  Bitcoin is totally on a different category from Gold and we cannot really compare the two from each other. Also what is your basis that Bitcoin is the next gold? Because with its volatility showing I cannot see any relevance to it.
4507  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: September 10, 2017, 03:30:54 PM
If you were in desparate need of money and if you still have enough time until you gather it, signature campaign will do. It helps each person earns from the moment he got accepted to the campaign for postings.
Really? I don't think someone will lean towards to a signature campaign if they are desperate for money, people who really are desperate for money means they need more money than what a signature campaign can offer, also time is of the essence here in which people who really need money don't have. Additionally signature campaigns here in the forum only have limited slots and it cannot cater all the people who are in need of money. My advice is for that people to look outside of the Bitcoin industry like loaning in a bank perhaps as they can give you cash instantly or even ask a friend out.
4508  Economy / Economics / Re: The panic seller irony on: September 10, 2017, 02:23:13 PM
This is a normal thing to happen not only in cryptocurrency market but also in forex and stock trading as well. And the issue here is both the lack of skill and a lack of emotional control. Theses people try to enter in the world of trading thinking that it is a simple buy and sell process but if you really want to earn money you must know hot to do technical analysis first and to know what a shakedown looks like. We must turn people who participate in panic selling into people who will buy Bitcoin at the bottom instead.
4509  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: September 10, 2017, 12:55:54 PM
Hi im still a newbie but one of my friend says trading and investing are so risky so dont try if you dont have a lot of experience about that . he said to me that im going to earn more bitcoin then soon he will teach me to know all about trading and investing Smiley

There is a risk in any financial activity. Your friend warned you right. You are a beginner, so you must be very careful in investing and trading. First, do not take independent decisions, but trust your friend, who is probably an experienced and successful person. Then you will gain experience and will independently earn money

I agree. Especially trading is riskier than investing. You can lose lots of many before earning some. Investing can also risky. If you invest your money to a wrong coin you can lose again. Even the coin can be true but the timing can be wrong, again you lose some money. I can also suggest you to trade but very very low amount like $1 for some good experience.

I think both of them have different levels of risk depending on the particular thing, for example when you have more knowledge about cryptocurrency market and have more skill in doing price analysis on the market of course the risk to trade may be much less than investment. the point is to choose according to the skills you have between trading or investment

The last thing you want to do is to trust someone else's decision for you, and yes that includes your friend. You are basically telling yourself that  you are making other people have decisions with your own money and if you lose your money because of your friend's decision then you will have to blame him or her and you might end up fighting with each other. The best thing your friend can do since he or she has more experience than you is try to teach you about investing and trading as it is better than giving him the authority to make decisions for yourself.
4510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning enough with Bitcoin without Job ? on: September 10, 2017, 11:56:12 AM
I was just wondering that is it possible to earn steady income without going 8-5 hours regular office job.. I mean you got some bitcoin in your wallet .. are you the enough for living ?

another option is to regularly working on Bitcoin related trading/activites .. that earn you enough amt of monthly income ..

what's your opinion

Note: this is not for poor fellow who just discovered bitcoin or altcoins

For me if may account here will go up,  I preferr to focus on bitcoin or earning bitcoin instead of go to work everyday , get up early morning spend money for transportation , If may account will establish .. I choose bitoin . thank you
I do agree with you but i would rather do both like do your account and at the same time mine for bitcoin and at the same time go to work because in

your free time like in the weekends you can work on mining bitcoin and the workdays you just work.
iyan33 is right about saying that Capital is important to determine if you will be earning enough in the cryptocurrency market without a job. Having a big capital is not only the factor here if you want to concentrate in Bitcoin trading, what I mean about that is there is no assurance that you will have the exact amount of earning each day (you may not even earn something in the first place). So in order to become a full time trader you must consider two thing one is money and the other one is skill.
4511  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: September 10, 2017, 10:18:07 AM
One thing I really understand from bitcoin is that the technology brought by bitcoin is a very powerful reason to participate in investing in it. Because of the technology everyone who from the beginning using bitcoin get a lot of advantages, for us today who start using bitcoin is not the end to get the benefits. As long as we still have a high spirit then later we can get a profit that could be bigger than before. Fight and keep looking for updated news about bitcoin
I don't think so bro, for me Bitcoin is just another mode of payment but what is happening now it looks like it is some kind of investment as the prices goes up and down more than what a fiat currency could be. Additionally nothing is revolutionary about the technology of Bitcoin except for the fact that you as a person can make anonymous payments that is why it is an unstable currency because it has been played around for profit in quite some time now.
4512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of paying with Bitcoin on: September 10, 2017, 07:47:57 AM
Yes for online payments you can say Bitcoin is a good way to pay, but for your example which you bought a hosting service to host your site, it does not take for long for you to be an anonymouse user because having a site needs you to give information if you want to monetized it or even just become an author for writing blogs in your site. Other than that I don't see any advantage of it. If you will count maybe on an actual scenario where I will pay Bitcoin on a store the advantage might be not bring any wallet or cards for payment.
4513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 10, 2017, 05:49:22 AM
We'll basing from Melo's performance in the recent seasons even if he joins LBJ they won't be as good. Melo can't even get to the highlights anymore these days.
Yeah, maybe when it comes to superstar status, he is way ahead of Irving but if you compared the play now, the chemistry on James, for me Irving is better. As you can see, he has been outshined by other younger superstar.

Or maybe Melo just need to in a good team that he is not the superstar before he can performed well? I think this career is in the downward right now. So it he really wants to earn a ring before going out, he should go to Cavaliers and team up with Lebron and make a last run on it. He will be a good addition to the team and could challenge Golden State again on the next NBA championship. But he needs to cut his pay if he is really interested to join the Cavs.

It's not about having highlights with his plays but Carmelo Anthony won't be too good of a fit on the team. What I am talking about is Anthony and Lebron has the same position which is small forward and I don't think that it will be a good idea for one of them to move up in a position which they are not comfortable with. Another thing to point out is Cavaliers already made a trade to ship out Kyrie Irving for Thomas, I don't think they have a trade asset to get Anthony to the Cavs.

It is hard to handle a Campaign some the users if not few are abusing the signature campaign they are enrolling a lot of account in the same signature campaign or one to another it will cause not only a headache but also a walletache.

I guess it is the payment for handling some campaign is 0.10BTC per 2 weeks or so vary from campaign.
That is why I am dedicating my time to become a Campaign Manager. Also Alts may not be completely removed from this forum, but I will assure all of them will follow the rules of the campaign and has good post quality.
4516  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the world really needs virtual currencies on: September 09, 2017, 05:34:58 PM
The world really need crypto currencies or "virtual" currencies, because it is the currencies of the future. This blockchain technology is making a real revolution in the financial world everywhere and people find it a lot better than using fiat and the classic currencies.
By the way I am not really agree that it is virtual currencies, as long as we can use it almost online and offline without any problem, it seems real currencies.

I believe the world virtual simply means not tangible, no physical presentation and exist in virtual world a.k.a internet. As technology developed people needs to cope up with the development.  That include currency and money.  If we recall, people used the barter system then gold to money (coins then paper money). Then comes visa cards and credit cards which is limited to whoever accept it and funds is not hold by the owner themselves.  Internet removes barrier and bounderies, so curreuncy should, with cryptocurrency, this problem is solved, people can move their funds from person to person no matter where they are in the world in an instant without the supervision of a third party that eats up some of the transactions fund due to the fee.  I believe the world needs these kind of currency to cope up with the ever devoloping technology.
I don't think that just by using our normal way of paying which is fiat currency mean that we are having barriers to other people from another country, it has long been eliminated even without the help of the cryptocurrency from credit cards to paypal we have a wide variety of ways to pay without hindering us for having a different currency. It is just that Bitcoin had created us a newer way to pay online without worrying on our side from having a different money.

4520  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: September 07, 2017, 01:25:04 PM
Absolutely no. USD is the currency of United State of America. Every nation is basing their currencies on this united state dollars. So absolutely this united state dollar is more than have value and more known into this Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not yet officially introduced to other countries while United State Dollar is known to almost all countries all over the world.

I don't know what you are talking about "Every nation is basing their currency in U.S. Dollar" it is just a normal situation in which one thing has a respective value to another but it does not simply mean that thing depends on another thing. Each free country is independent and can run their own government with their own money, so there is no point on basing your money on U.S.D. if you have your own Fiat currency. And also what are you talking about "U.S. Dollar having more value than Bitcoin"? For your information you need 4650$ to buy 1 Bitcoin as of posting this reply.
