4501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: July 23, 2021, 07:06:09 AM
Of course we need a Bitcoin movie where we can see the significance of Bitcoin and it's impact on global economic conditions ans climate change. I think it would be better for investors and traders also.
Well, that's called a documentary and not a movie, there's a big distinction that separates the two.also, I don't think that it's easy to make a movie that has bitcoin as the main plot without making it boring and cliche. Plus do we really need a movie about bitcoin because I am pretty sure that the community is a picky and judgmental one so I don't think that it will pass our standards if there's one.

Agreed, it's a documentary similar to the one about bitcoins, but I believe I saw something similar on Netflix about cryptocurrency, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm fairly certain it was the entire history of it. Regarding bitcoin, I believe it could be titled "Bitcoin's History" or "Bitcoin's Story," depending on when it was created or who created it. I believe I also saw a documentary about Satoshi Nakamoto, whose identity is still unknown, but for whom a large number of people have expressed gratitude. When it comes to bitcoin, there are a lot of videos on YouTube about it and its history, but making a documentary about it is fantastic.
4502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vegas Casinos to allow Cannabis Lounges. on: July 23, 2021, 04:31:13 AM
I agree with you, modern offline casinos are not only gambling, but many other entertainments and by creating opportunities for each narrow group of lovers of something,

I saw this many times . people that are just hanging out with their friends or family and for fun only in modern offline casino. so offering more things that are interesting for many people is very good for satisfying the entertainment they want. in offline casinos it is not always about to earn money but more for entertainment and a place to hang out for them who likes that thing.

Agree, a lot of people are in casinos for fun only but I saw or read an article way back a year a go that there are professionals in gambling which they are make for a living out of it. I only skim that article but my question in my mind is how do they do it that they are winning a lot and also entertained at the same time. It is very risky in gambling since anything could happen and we all knew that gambling is pure luck to win.

Regarding lounges is it is really okay to those people who is using Cannabis but those people that are not using i think they kinda scared or be curious about it and try it.
4503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will everyone still believe in Elon Musk? on: July 22, 2021, 04:20:30 PM
Not everyone hates Elon Musk yesterday Elon Musk acted to destroy the market I'm sure Elon Musk's actions must have a purpose, maybe right now many people don't believe in Elon anymore but I'm sure if Elon Musk tweeted today one of the coins then the price of the coin will go up even though not like yesterday's coin doge because Elon Musk has power and a lot of money so he can change the crypto market with the money he has.

After those recent tweets in which he hyped some cryptocurrencies, Elon Musk is still influential. Because he is a celebrity and wealthy, most people are still looking up to him! People and investors, on the other hand, will be cautious this time. Elon's previous hype was to persuade those without knowledge to invest in that coin because he is so influential and idolized by the public. Now he is tweeting again, and hopefully those who follow him will do some research before jumping in because it involves money.
4504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do not trust everything you see in the internet on: July 22, 2021, 08:46:15 AM
You are right, though there are genuine bulk of information on the Internet but there are also many erroneous and fake information on it. It is full of unverify information and it's very important not to take everything on the Internet as the real thing
It very important to further research on things you see on the internet before believing it. Remember, many people gets scammed through the internet. The same thing apply to real life, enough investigation and research is required on things we hear before believing them.

most of the time people do research but what happens is the following:

person X wants to make money on the internet, they go to google and search: "how to earn money on the internet" and then there are many sites to earn money and all of them sites that deceive and lie people that because someone creates a website, post content on site and other people also create site but are lazy and for that reason copy all malicious content of the site they find. so the lie spreads to many sites and people even when doing research will find malicious information and have lost money

Search engines are also allowing it, as long as they pay to be at the top of the results page. Well, it's true that they could earn a penny, but it's not worth it to work hard for it because you're only enriching the website's owner! People are becoming more aware of it, so they are conducting extensive research and crowdsourcing. When it comes to news or whatever else, social media comes first because anyone can post and spread fake news. The best way to avoid this is to go to a reputable page or site and confirm if it is true. The key is to do research before putting your trust.
4505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: July 22, 2021, 04:06:38 AM
It's not good if this is going to lead to gambling because there are many youngsters playing Axie Infinity, if they integrate the gambling section on Axie Infinity, then they should be regulated, I do not have Axie and not playing it, but it's better not to introduce something that will lead to gambling, I'm sure they are weighing their options because there are kids playing this game.
Are you sure that's what they're asking? From where do you assume they have the kids in this game? Axie is one of the hottest play to earn games at the moment, players need to spend 1 money to be able to play well on this platform. What makes you think kids know about blockhain and put money into it to join? Whether or not you want to gamble may be an open choice, but the reasons you give are not convincing.

Yes, it is not free to play, but I saw one post about adding a chat system to the game, and their opinion was that it would be much worse because anyone could chat and say bad words or other things, even if it did not affect the game. I believe it will become toxic soon, but the environment in Axie is not yet toxic, only when there are issues or maintenance.
4506  Economy / Economics / Re: End Game? on: July 22, 2021, 02:36:33 AM
It is undoubtedly true that bitcoin has now evolved into an investment rather than payment. I have seen a surge of people coming into these sphere trusting bitcoin that it could skyrocket their investment.

Most probably, I can see bitcoin could still be use in the near future. Many projects are coming out for bitcoin utility like SOVRYN. The DeFi for bitcoin.

You are correct, and reading your message made me reflect for a moment. When I first started, I believed that the future of bitcoin was for payment, online transactions, or any bitcoin physical store that would accept bitcoins or crypto, but now you are correct, I can see people looking for bitcoin as an investment, and that is my opinion as well, unlike before when I believed it was for online payment. I believe it is because of its price, which is currently extremely high, and virtually everyone knows that if you store bitcoin for several years, you will benefit.
4507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why newbies lose huge money in trading on: July 21, 2021, 12:03:31 PM
Not only do the fundamentals and technical analysis play a role, but emotion also plays a role because it is at this point that you decide whether or not to enter the trade. I've been trading for a year and am still gaining knowledge. The most important thing to me is controlling my emotions so that I can stick to my strategy, because if I don't, I'll lose all of my money. I've also termed myself as a newbie to trading because I'm still not making a lot of money, but I will be soon. This is what I consider to be the most important aspects of trading: emotions, fundamentals, technical analysis, and learning every day.
4508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for newbies loss in bitcoin on: July 21, 2021, 04:48:10 AM
Totally agree with that, most of the peoples think when he invested on cryptocurrency they can be rich just in over night. I was one of them when I was first time investing in cryptocurrency, i still lack of experience and so naive at that time. I spend a lot of money on ICO back at 2017 period and i loss a lot of money on that it almost make me crazy and lucky me I am surrounded by people who can support me so i never thought of doing any stupid act (stealing/suicide).

Oh, 2017 is when ICOs are very popular, and there are a lot of scammers, but in 2016, I don't see any scam coins in ICOs, and you could really earn a lot of money after a month or week on that time. Most people believe that they can make quick money, but this is not true; you must work hard to make money. There are some cases where you can become wealthy overnight, but this is extremely rare because cryptocurrency is extremely volatile and we never know what will happen.
4509  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: July 21, 2021, 02:35:59 AM
Did anyone noticed that covid-19 restrictions became less strict ? Is it due to mass vaccination? Or because we are about to overcome that virus soon? Or the economy is in need of money and by lowering restrictions governments and business want to cover losses?

Based on my country statistics, this summer data is identical to previous year number of cases/death. Previous summer everything was closed and only limited stores were opened. Today, with vaccine certificate all the doors are opened. In some places, you can even be inside and not be obliged to wear the mask, while you still can be a virus carrier.

People are getting more complacent, and the governments have also relaxed most of the restrictions. For example, UK has removed most of the restrictions despite the fact that the number of new infections now stand at around 50,000 per day (higher than the figure reported from India yesterday). There is a misconception that two doses of the vaccine can protect you from COVID 19. That is not the case, especially with the less effective vaccines such as AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sinopharm. And the efficacy is further reduced by the emergence of new strains such as Delta.

If I'm not mistaken, this was called Social Ending. Can you imagine how scared scared people were when the first local transmission occurred in your country? No one wanted to go outside, the road was very quiet, people were really following the rules while also being scared of the virus. Now, imagine people are not scared anymore. Because they are losing money, the government wants to open the economy. They want to open the economy because their funds are insufficient to sustain the people. When the Delta virus struck our country, only the areas where the virus was detected were placed under lockdown.
4510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: July 21, 2021, 01:29:10 AM
I think a lot of people who would give money to scammers would never read this post, because they are complete beginners, people who bought coins because their friends did, know nothing about this field and have little experience with finance in general. I've seen stories like this when someone gets intro crypto, don't do any research, get scammed immediately and then blames their friends who introduced them.

True, but not only for newcomers, but also for those who already knew but tried their luck. When I first started in crypto, there were a lot of investment(Return of Investment) like for a week or for days that really could attract newbies that will invest but later on it turn to scam, a lot of this kind of ponzi happen way back few years because the newbies were not aware of this but now most everyone is aware of this so I haven't seen any right now regarding this, I was also scammed by this kind of ponzi
4511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: July 20, 2021, 12:50:17 PM
I don't invest too much in bitcoin, so if bitcoin reaches $1m in the future it won't have a big impact on me. Maybe i will be more wealth with that money but i still need to work because i cannot retired with that money. By the way, i will sell my investment partially and i'm not confident if i still hold my BTC when it reached $1m. My goal for btc is reach $300k, i hope it will happen in the next bull run.

Yup. What a person does when bitcoin reaches $1 million depends on how long that person has been invested in bitcoin by then, and how much they have been able to stack by that time.

If you are just entering the space at those prices, you likely wouldn't do anything differently than now if entering for the first time at these prices.

Agreed, and it's not too late to get involved. Though the price is currently higher than the previous year, you will be sorry if you do not act now. Though I do not currently hold any bitcoin, I do have altcoins that I am holding and that can be converted to bitcoin. If I have enough money, I intend to store and hold a bitcoin. Well, if that reaches $1 million, we will be extremely fortunate, and those who do not own a bitcoin will be somewhat remorseful for not investing sooner hehe.
4512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know if an altcoin is a scam? on: July 20, 2021, 04:24:36 AM
Hello, I'm new here and I wanted to ask something I've been confused about for a few days.

I recently got into an altcoin (called startup boost token) and the devs are doxxed and presale LP locked, they claim to have live use case and all.

I want to know how I can determine / what kind of questions I should be asking to know if its a real 100x token? Any advice?

Check their whitepaper and roadmap so many scam projects are guilty of plagiarism because they really don't have usage and platform to speak of and they are just copying other people's project, go check the scam section and you will see that those guilty of plagiarism turns out to be scam projects, many of these scam projects developers are fake profile, they extract them online photoshopped these people and upload them in their website.

Agree to this and join those, as well as try to do your own research so that you will know. But the basic one is to read their whitepaper to see if it is worth it or not. Most of the time, the scam coin is their whitepaper is written so poorly that you can tell something is wrong with it. Well, we should be aware nowadays because there are a lot of new tokens coming out every day, whereas previously here in the forum, there were only a few and those few were all successful coins.
4513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 20, 2021, 02:36:58 AM
People realize that Bitcoin mining will have some impact on the environment and may also cause waste of resources. However, choosing Bitcoin green mining is less costly, and sustainable Bitcoin green mining does not need to pay electricity fees, which means Will get higher profits. Renewable energy is safer for users and will not pollute the environment.

Yes, it could have an impact on the environment, but the miners aren't thinking about it. You're right, you won't have to pay for electricity because you have your own renewable energy, but keep in mind that making or setting up your renewable energy is expensive. In the case of solar energy, you must purchase panels and batteries, but this is a one-time payment, so your expenses after a month are only the maintenance of your panels and energy / equiments. I saw in Iceland, I believe, but I'm not sure where, that they're using geothermal energy to mine bitcoins, which is a very smart move.
4514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How crypto currency change your Life? on: July 19, 2021, 04:12:57 PM
There are many ways to make money in the crypto world, one of which is the way we often do and trade. but to do it all in order to get the maximum income of course you have to work hard and believe in what we are doing. which certainly crypto will give us maximum results.
Yes, if people who always work hard in the crypto space will obviously get maximum results if they don't complain when what they are doing doesn't get maximum results, because usually people who work hard don't really care about the results, the most important thing is to have good results clear.
they will thinking the result is a bonus from their work. complaining when face bad project and we were scammed will not give a solution and even it will make us be lazy person. learn and practice will help us to achieve our purpose in crypto market as successfull trader or investor.

Experience is also important. If you've been investing in cryptocurrency for a while, you'll know what month of the year the price rises or falls. Most of my mentors or friends taught me this, and they have a monthly prediction that I am amazed by. Back a few years, the forum had a lot of bounties and campaigns, and you were easily accepted, which really can make for a living, and you could earn a lot of money. Some of my friends have already built houses and purchased their dream cars and motorcycles.
4515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 19, 2021, 12:07:33 PM
I don't usually bet on friendly games for the reason that the better team might not play on full potential so the underdog could win, it's nice if it will be like that all the time as you can easily predict the winner, but sometimes the better team also plays hard so it's hard to guess using the statistics and past games results.

Agree sort of you will really know who will win somewhat it is not very competitive to watch. Friendly matches is good to watch but not to be because you cant see the effort of the players out of it. Those competitions on getting at the top is really the best to bet, we have our own analysis about the team and it is unpredictable . I think i mostly see this friendly game about pros vs the celebrities or something like that and i think fans is only enjoying it but imagine pros vs celeb? what kind of game is that.
4516  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies replace fiat currencies on: July 19, 2021, 06:47:40 AM
I can agree that bitcoin may increase the scope of the acceptance among governments but won't be replacing fiat for that matter. Still, the governments will stick to fiat as they have full control of its circulation. I don't see btc replacing fiat in our lifetime but maybe the usage of btc will tremendously increase in the coming years. Let us just be happy that these days some countries are now recognizing btc as legal tender. That's a very nice step for btc adoption.
This is what most government will do if they legalised bitcoin. Right now, my country have their own ways to ear money from those who have bitcoin. The buyer will pay $1000 dollar to buy bitcoin let's just say that $1000 is 0.02920193 btc but when you sell the same amount of btc after you bought then you will get $953 which is not $1000 anymore and this has nothing to do with the price increase or decrease.
Whats been stated is just the trading process followed on each and every country. Even in my country there is such a difference between the buying and selling. This difference in amount is based on the percentage of margin thats been set by the respective trader. This doesn't have anything to do with the cryptocurrency replacing fiat.

Agree that this is how the exchange or the bank would profit. I believe that we are now far from the reality of crypto replacing fiats because fiat is very established right now since its beginnings. I am not saying that crypto isn't, but not everyone knows what it is and not everyone in the world has access to the internet. But, as we can see now, when a pandemic strikes, there are a lot of cashless transactions, which means that people are adopting to the internet, unlike in the past. At the moment, people prefer to do cashless transactions rather than pay it in cash. That's what I've noticed recently, and it means that in the future, we might actually use crypto instead of the fiat we're currently using.
4517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: July 19, 2021, 03:16:03 AM
gamblers are expected to start trading, prior to investing, it is the same interest in mind, and daily traders are pretty similar to gamblers
nevertheless, it is not the same, gamblers usually settle their bets within short time frame, with two possible outcomes, and traders have a chance for a turnaround in few days, regarding their trade, and trader could close a trade with a small win/loss, it is not just total win/loss situation

Almost the same is actually very different. traders have a concept like a big risk investment. different from gambling is that the results occur at the same time. I don't think trading is gambling. because there is a fundamental basis through charts and analysis.

t could be gambling if you don't know what you're doing and rely solely on luck, but that kind of strategy won't last long because if you get hit by bad luck, your account will be burned. The trader primarily employs fundamental and technical analysis. I've never seen a gambler try to trade using only their gambling knowledge. Before you begin trading, you should be well-versed in the subject. But, in terms of gambling, I mostly agree that it is for entertainment, and that some people make a living from it.
4518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 18, 2021, 01:13:05 PM
Obviously he is from some developed country. In countries like my gambling addiction, if it is considered a disease, then no methods of treatment or something similar are offered. It is believed that this is a personal problem of a person and if you go to a hospital (public) with such a problem, you simply will not be taken seriously. So I must admit that he was lucky in some ways.
developed countries have more facilities than poor or developing countries in helping citizens overcome their gambling addiction...

in my city gambling addiction is not a serious thing because my city still prohibits gambling business strictly but among 1000 gamblers there must be one who is addicted. someone who is addicted to gambling in my city has to spend personal money to go to a psychiatrist.

We can say that in poor countries the best treatment is a ban  Grin Which unfortunately applies to healthy people also. It should be noted that although this reduces the number of gamblers, this approach also has huge negative sides - the restriction of freedom and the criminalization of this business.

Agree a lot of gambling business will operate illegaly and in underground. Though a ban is really a good thing to stop to be addicted but i think people are going to find ways to play although it could be illegally.  I dont know if you could assess your self that you are already addicted to gambling because you are just thinking that it is your normal routine unless someone or your relatives are telling you about your doings.
4519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 18, 2021, 11:30:00 AM
I like the idea to an extent if people need to be motivated and those loves lottery will eventually get it as that opens the door if they get vaccinated. So even if somebody is reluctant but this lottery would just force them or willingly they will take it and begin then normal routines. And government is in win-win situation here.
The same in some states in the US.

They've done that and it's very effective since people are also trying to recover from the pandemic and have hope that they probably were the one to get the prize.

It's really motivating if there's something like this although for some, they don't look good at it.

Wow, that's great news. Hopefully, we'll be able to receive it in our country as well. Being vaccinated is a great benefit, and being qualified for the lottery is an added bonus. Even if we don't get anything after getting vaccinated, it's fine with me because my main goal is to be vaccinated and imagine it's free, thus it's fine with me. They are doing it solely to persuade those folks to be vaccinated and not to be afraid of it. Hopefully, the person who wins the lotto is in desperate need of money, so that he or she can utilize it to better his or her life.
4520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you get trading advice and tips from? on: July 18, 2021, 05:16:10 AM
It mostly comes from my pals who have more experience than I do. We all know that there are a lot of groups that will offer you signals, but the majority of newcomers will take advise from such groups, such as those that will post or send a signal, causing the beginner to follow it. In terms of viewing the chart as if they had their own analysis, I would recommend tradingview, where people upload their charts or their own analysis on that specific coin, and it is up to you whether to follow it or not.
