4501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: August 25, 2021, 10:08:48 PM
It's a good investment when a pandemic just starting out but unfortunately only a few invested when the market crash, there are so many FUDS back then and we have seen how the market rose from a few months after the pandemic, when after the collapse of the other markets they move to the Cryptocurrency and from there the market recovers and made those risk-takers huge profits.
4502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Axie Infinity - A new Ethereum game similar to CryptoKitties [SPECIAL PRE-SALE] on: August 25, 2021, 12:46:58 PM

years ago I asked the team about it and they said they weren't able to keep up with all social media and that members were welcome to spread the word where they could

I think this is pretty amazing to be honest, they still don't invest in marketing
just imagine when they do

I'm not into Axie but they don't need the marketing at all they started the play to earn trends and many new projects are now imitating their formula, here in our country it's a piece of big news because many people are posting their income from Axie that the government is now taxing Axie players, I hope they can sustain this many people left their jobs to play Axie.
4503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price last until the end of the year? on: August 24, 2021, 09:41:16 AM
Since a few months ago, a lot of people have been having discussions about the price of Bitcoin whether it will reach the price of $50K. Precisely today, the Cryptocurrency market seems to answer the analysis of many people about the price of Bitcoin that today Bitcoin has reached $50K. Will the price last until the end of the year or will the price of Bitcoin go back down.
There's an indication that it will remain or even surpass the current all-time high set this year, the third quarter of this year and the fourth quarter of this year has been good for the market, we have reached the $50k when just last month Bitcoin almost dropped to below $30k below, I think we are going better before the end of this year we might end up $80k before the year-end.
4504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know is time to walk? on: August 23, 2021, 02:15:49 PM
If you mean quitting then you are losing everything, the hardest thing is to walk away, gambling is very addictive, when you are at it and you are having fun, it's hard to walk away, it takes a lot of courage to walk away although it's worth to walk away early many gamblers walk away when it's already late.
4505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers returns huge money stolen in biggest crypto heist on: August 23, 2021, 04:10:32 AM

Why should Poly just threaten police involvement?  They should just do it if they are really violated after all the cybersecurity they hired had traced the culprit and found his IP and email. It shouldn't be difficult in having the authorities come.

However, if they are going to successfully scare the hacker by making him return all that he got, this is going to be a successful marketing promotion for the SlowMist security firm.

Thye are good at hacking but they don't have a criminal mind, criminals have an escape route that they will follow and they are willing to die just to execute their criminal activities, this is a big difference between them and bank robbers, they carry a gun and willing to kill and be killed, these hackers for all we know are working in a big corporation and they don't want to tarnish their reputation so they returned their loot.
4506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PHR] PHORE BLOCKCHAIN - Private Decentralized Marketplace & Ecosystem. POS/MN. on: August 23, 2021, 04:01:18 AM

Good question but like what the last part was said, more information will be announce, we have to wait for another update

coming from the team, it's good to see more progress and by that it will bring more value in the long process..
They are already testing how to claim Graphene and they promise to create a video on the steps on how to claim Graphene as not all of us here are good at coding it will help to claim our airdrop, I'm on their telegram and waiting for their announcement, it should come this month or early next month I understand they are not doing sales only airdrops for Phore holders through snapshots.
4507  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NEW game CRYPTOS release 🔥 |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 23, 2021, 03:33:35 AM

Yes they haven't provided API document I don't know why, maybe it's in progress. With only 2 exchanges on Coinmarketcap BFG volume doesn't move at all, is in the range of $50k-70k per 24 hours if it's like this BFG won't get any rank in CMC even though ranking in CMC is important, some people use rankings as a benchmark for the development of crypto projects.

I'm following them on Coinmarketcap but with Biswap not on their cache I don't think volume will add up, Biswap is their first DEX and many of us first traded here because of its liquidity, the team should ask Biswap to get their site index on Coinmarketcap and they should also apply on Coingecko many traders are using both for comparison.
4508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: August 23, 2021, 02:42:27 AM
In a recent speech at the annual PNWER meeting held in Montana, Neil Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, sharply criticized cryptocurrencies, stating that "95 percent of cryptocurrencies are fraud, deceptive advertising and noise," and he also said he had a more positive view of cryptocurrencies in 2015. Kashkari also referred to the large number of altcoins and called them "garbage coins."

That's because the industry has no regulation and it's decentralized, when it comes to investing in Cryptocurrency we are left to decide to do our own research if the project that we are going to invest is worth it, you must educate yourself first so you will not get deceive by shills, false information and deceits that still exist, not all that glitters here are gold.
4509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban Calls for DeFi Regulation After Crypto Investment Goes to Zero on: August 23, 2021, 12:26:20 AM
There were interviews during the pump on March where Mark Cuban minded down the risks of Defi. He was preaching permissionless markets and free markets for everyone. Now he is screaming for regulations hehehe. It might have been better not to larp.

This also is clearly similar for everyone else in the cryptospace until we experience a rugpull or an exploit.

Last night, billionaire investor Mark Cuban said he was “hit” by the sudden collapse of a cryptocurrency called TITAN; the token shed nearly 100% of its value over the course of a few hours.

Now, after losing what he’s characterized as a “small” percentage of his portfolio, he’s calling for increased regulation around stablecoins—a subgroup of cryptocurrencies meant to hold a “stable” value tied to a particular fiat currency.

Read in full https://decrypt.co/73861/mark-cuban-titan-defi-crypto-regulation

You have to go through it or experienced it to get the feel of what is like investing in DeFi and the volatility of the market, being a victim of rug pulls before, just glad that I invested a small amount, anything that is to go good to be true needs to be scrutinized these DeFis exploit the greediness of the investors, Cuban case is not an isolated case, scamming and rug pulls have been on us and will continue to be part of the market, your defense is education.
4510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Foundation Officially Relaunches on: August 22, 2021, 11:36:50 PM

This development is good for doge holders as it is giving good direction for the seemingly idle platform. We thought nothing is happening after Elon announced before about possible collaboration with the doge team. With Vitalik as one of the advisers, we are hoping that there will be real progress in terms of development of this coin.

With Vitalik Buterin as one of their adviser of course there will be development and progress, he can infuse new features and development on Dogecoin, I could not imagine Dogecoin having a new lease on life after being just a meme coin and no increase or pump of its price for so many years, I expect another round of pumps in the coming months.
4511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 22, 2021, 11:20:56 PM

We will have to wait for Inoue's decision, he stated in his social media accounts that he wants this fight to be arranged but it could only be a talk without legality if there's no contract being signed, and Casimero will not stop trash talking if Inoue will not act on that.

As of now, Inoue is still new with the Top Rank promotion, so he will just be following what the organization is giving him, therefore his voice might not be final as he would have to wait for the approval of his big boss which is Bob Arum.

I would like the Casimero - Inoue to push through first before the Inoue - Donaire fight it's more exciting and could become the fight of the year because both fighters want each other badly in the ring, although he is new in Bob Arum he is the one fighting so he can request the fight to happen, he is a popular and a well-known fighter who loves to face anybody he can demand it, he is not an employee of Bob Arum, Bob Arum is just his promoter.
4512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron could be next doge or ada? on: August 22, 2021, 10:52:32 PM
Tron is very old coin, still belongs to top coin in crypto field. It is heavily used to reduce transaction fee and also for fast transactions.
It has many similar qualities that doge or ada has. Even i think it has everything to Achieve success like others do but it still low by its cost.

So what do you think about this coin. It could have better future like doge, ada? Or it will be disappeared with the flow of time?

Everything on Tron is good except the pump I'm one of the holders that's still waiting for Tron to make a huge pump just like what happen to Doge and other top coins in the market, Bitcoin, Ethereum already made a huge pump but until now holders of Tron are waiting, I still like TRON It's fast, cheap and many merchants are now accepting Tron.
4513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 10:34:59 PM
If I just add my .10 worth of sat on Manny's performance and what could be the reason that he losses to an underdog here:

1. old age/Father Time - inevitable, every athlete needs to retire

2. ring rust - out for two years

3. not enough time to prepare for a replacement fighter - no game plan for Ugas, just go there and do your best

4. overtrain - he took extra rounds because he is anticipating a fight with Spence

5. Ugas at the prime of his career

This is not an excuse. Just finding out the possible reason.

I will grade your observation as all of the above, number 3 is the main reason remember Manny's first fight in Vegas back in 2001 he was also a replacement took 7 days notice and his opponent does not know what to expect from him in the ring and he is fighting a very classy fighter in Ledwaba, this is also what happens to Manny he prepared for Spence and he cannot adjust to Ugas fighting style because of lack of time.
4514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network? on: August 22, 2021, 02:23:56 PM
The Pi Network is a cryptocurrency project that attempts to make Crypto mining more accessible. The idea, which was created by a group of Stanford grads, seeks to redress the balance by allowing consumers to mine coins via a smartphone app. Mining Crypto-coins from your phone can earn you money. Simply download the program, use it once a day, and it will mine Bitcoins for you. A members' section of the PI Network is also available.

Wow, where have you been all this time, it's impossible to mine Bitcoin on a smartphone or even on an average computer you need a supercomputer or an ASIC to mine Bitcoin, you can only mine their own token named PI, I lose trust in this project because there's a lot of deception on how they run their project, their mining is just assimilation you are not really mining anything on your phone, after three years they are still not in the market and their members are disappointed.
4515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 02:07:47 PM
There are people who play gambling only while there are others who prefer betting only.
Do you think both of these type of people have different mindset and one of them is willing to take more risk than than others ?

Also do think that gambling is for the entertainment and earning money too but people do betting only to earn money and there is no element of fun involved in it.

I don't see any difference at all, they involved putting money and expecting a return, there is risk involved in sports betting too, take the case of the recent Pacquiao - Ugas match, many bet on Manny to win the fight but he losses by unanimous decision on analysis Pacquiao is ahead on experience but that did not happen, betting on dice and betting on sports have the same risk.
4516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 22, 2021, 12:37:37 PM

For the last several months, I am witnessing extremely low transaction fee with the Bitcoin network. Today I sent a few transactions with a fee of 3 Sat/Byte, and they got confirmed almost immediately. ETH fees on the other hand was much higher than that. If you are using altcoins to make deposits, then the question is which one is more suitable for this purpose. ETH can't be used here because of high fees. Other alts, such as LTC, BCH and ETC are way too volatile to be used for this purpose. So if you are depositing amounts in excess of $50, I would still advise you to use BTC.

I never imagine that the situation will change where Bitcoin is much cheaper than Ethereum, I also transacted just last week, and my transaction was confirmed within minutes and I only spend 70 cents, I did not even use a transaction accelerator which I also do every time I transacted with Bitcoin, I am avoiding Ethereum especially when trading on DEX because the transaction is quite high.
4517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 05:39:08 AM
What a turn of event.

We've been expecting that this match is going to be one of the best but it seems it's not for Manny but for Ugas, yeah probably one of the best.

Well then, that's it, congratulations Ugas. I doubt that Manny will announce his retirement before his candidacy.

Manny is doing good in the early rounds until Ugas show up to fight and put up a good defense and offense in the late rounds, I wonder if Manny will hang out his glove he should if he cannot beat Ugas who is not considered a top boxer in the division, people will have doubt if he dares Crawford or Spence, this fight is the determining factor if Pacquiao can still continue to fight.
4518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 21, 2021, 10:36:33 PM

4519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: August 21, 2021, 03:02:54 PM
Bitcoin is now rising, and it has jumped by 3k in less than 10 minutes. Although everyone is happy but also worried, is it going to fall again?
My friend asked if I can continue to buy it? But I see a lot of people commenting that giant whales are now controlling the market. I told my friends not to enter the market for now, but my friends seem to have misunderstood me.
Do you think that this kind of market should be forbidden to enter or continue to buy?
I suggest not to panic selling。

When it comes to investing advice it's always on individual preferences or decision as long as they know the risk and they know the market condition if your friend wants to buy because they believe that it's a good time to buy and he is investing what he can afford to lose, then let him proceed, in my experience, I always tell my friend to read a lot and fill themselves with the relevant informant that will help them to buy and sell at the right time.
4520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 21, 2021, 11:40:00 AM

With his current age, of course it will be difficult for Pacquiao to win a KO/TKO victory over Ugas, especially if Ugas is a boxer who has strong stamina and of course the age factor is younger than pacman.
Even though,I favoring Pacman as the winner in that bout to claim the WBA (Super) welterweight world title.
I think pacquiao might benefit a little, because Ugas is not the aggressive type of boxer like Errol Spence Jr style of play.

The last time Pacquiao knock down an opponent was three years ago against Matthysse, Matthysse was already an aging boxer and he suffered a knee injury, Ugas is 35 years old but not showing a sign like what Mathhysse has shown, he will have a hard time with Ugas who is known to have a strong chin and can go toe to toe, although Pacquiao is a strong favorite we should not disregard Ugas, he can still pull out an upset.
