4501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: May 06, 2022, 08:43:23 AM
I really do believe that this will be one of the most entertaining, or one of the most boring races out there. It is going to be either entertaining because it's a new thing and unexpected stuff could happen and drivers do not know the track at all, and they would need to learn some stuff and there will be some drivers who will "go for it" and some that will race carefully.

Like a Max Verstappen crash isn't out of the woods yet, I could sense him doing something crazy somewhere he shouldn't. We just have to wait and see how the race will be, it is going to definitely be something unique and entertaining for sure, not going to be something crazy but unique for sure.

If I were betting on the outcome, I'd definitely lean on "most eventful". Whether or not that proves to be entertaining is another thing completely. But yeah, I like new stuff and seeing how drivers react (or perhaps how much they disobey or ask for team advice heh).

Verstappen's got to be itching to go for this though. Don't think it'll end up DNF but he's sure to ruffle some feathers heh, like you said. Unique without being crazy is what I'd expect from this weekend.
4502  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think that some signature campaigns prioritize clients in some cases? on: May 06, 2022, 07:37:05 AM
I believe that accepting "degenerate" gamblers in certain gambling campaigns is very profitable for the casinos because they end up losing everything they earn in the signature campaign and more.

I'd agree. Pay some guy several hundred dollars a week that you know almost for certain he'll gamble away as free money, and add more of his into chasing the losses, and you sort of have a self-serving use case.

And you get visibility in the threads HE is active in (which may not necessarily even be close to he types of threads a "high quality" poster might even think to visit).

Preferable, you'd also want more of his type -- birds of a feather.

So yeah, definitely makes sense for a sig camp to recruit based on their needs.
4503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: May 05, 2022, 08:05:06 PM
Blessed start for Rangers, pretty heavy hitting and desperate hassling earning them cards all over though, so it's a hard-fought lead. Did expect them to score as they're always lifted at Ibrox but couldn't ask for a better end to the first half, really. Think the real achievement was reducing Leipzig to zero shots on target. Long as they maintain that after the restart we're good.

@cryptfrka if they pull it off again, they might need a secret thank-you party for Creswell huh. But Hammers surely out, though, yeah? 10 men need to score 2 goals...
4504  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: May 05, 2022, 01:36:51 PM
Real has surprised us many times with comebacks after terrible starts of matches but I really think they don't have any chance to qualify tonight. City is more than good enough to capitalize on all those defensive errors Real makes in the games.

You think they run out of luck but they don't, booked some clean wins from the outright but I actually missed by biggest bet (85/10 betbuilder of Real win, BTTS, over 2.5 corners each) just by one item... Benzema scoring in regular time. Ah well! Good job Ulven made it out with plenty huh!

we did it! we actually beat the three biggest oil clubs in the world 😭

well well well, Liverpool, we meet again  Cool

Thus preserving the elitism of Champions League football heh heh. Well done man, did you place any pre-season outright on them? Think it was around 9/1 or 10/1. I'm still riding on my 86/10-ish bet so really happy.

Read Ancelotti said post match he's still an Evertonian (and all kinds of weird things went in my mind as Rafa was also managing Everton after him) so he's really looking forward. Hope we rekindle Istanbul, though not by going behind 3 goals!
4505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 05, 2022, 12:29:58 PM
Yeah I've got Barca on my sights too for a simple odds doubler, and will probably reup on them again tomorrow and Saturday heh, if my bets are alive by then. They're probably in UCL already but 1 more win takes them to 1 point away from mathematical guarantee. They'll want to do that and focus on early preps for next season.

Always thought EPL was the favourites of clutch players but Benzema has been redefining La Liga... Or Real.
yeah, I think that Real is getting their points by Benzema in last fifteen minutes
did not read or checked, but I have a feeling that within 75 minutes Real would be middle table, so many last minute wins that I remember, Sevilla was the last one

A bit off topic, but last night just found a way to beef up their scores even more... getting to qualification against:
-  PSG at 78th minute of 2nd leg.
-  Chelsea 90+6th minute 2nd leg
-  City 90+5th minute 2nd leg

The semifinal was remarkable that City led from 2' of first leg til 89' of 2nd leg.
4506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think that some signature campaigns prioritize clients in some cases? on: May 05, 2022, 11:01:09 AM
I can't really tell over the past few years, as haven't been paying much attention, but I do notice some seemingly favoured participants over others. The newer casinos (or rather, newer campaigns) don't appear to prioritise merits and post quality as much as activity and participation across more threads -- including altcoins, which I guess makes sense if you're looking to build visibility and attract new customers.

My take on this is that older accounts are less likely to be experimenting with new coins and new casinos, plus -- the handful of degen gamblers (I say this as a compliment, mind you) I happen to know on the forum aren't generally posting what might be considered "meritorious" or even high quality posts by others.

Whether or not this is truly how campaign managers or owners identify their preferred participants I don't know, I suspect not in a formal marketing way anyway.
4507  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Dow Jones falls 80%, bitcoin will fall 99% ? on: May 05, 2022, 08:36:03 AM
Falls much more in a deep crash, but also climbs higher and with much stronger volumes in a spike/rally. Not exactly a new phenomenon, and even less surprising if you accept that the very same people investing in Bitcoin (if we want to say mainstream, then we accept this means stock investors simply diversifying their portfolio) are in stocks. So when they're liquidating or gaining more exposure in markets, they're applying the same across the board, spreading their risks across fiat, stocks, commodities, Bitcoin.

Think the extra impact on Bitcoin (fall or rise) is simply because those actions also influence pure Bitcoin speculators. OMG all the brokers are dumping/stockpiling, so me too!
4508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: May 05, 2022, 07:50:31 AM
Just love those predictions promos, this time I mixed in my usual picks of heavy-sided underdogs with "narrower" underdogs. For me this time it was an arbitrary 15/10 odds or better to count as a favourite, usually for UFC I'm only picking the fav if they're 12/10 or better. No science behind it...

As a result, favourite Oliveira didn't make my cut as he was just above 15/10, though he seems far more rated in the media.

4510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: May 04, 2022, 05:08:22 PM
Hahaha, yeah, I missed that point. All Manchester City fans want an easy draw to finally win something outside of England.

The FA robbed us in the league cup; this will not happen again; no one will win a double this season. I'll see you later, my friend.

Well, they didn't get it, so I guess it's City-Liverpool again (barf) (hoping I outdo my own jinx so Real actually snatch it).

Took an ambitious bet on BTTS, over 3 corners each, Benzema to score and Real to win (not qualify) for 85/10. As if the match itself won't be entertaining on its own!

Look forward to another clash, we really have to fan back the flames of our rivalry, let's try and win it on 90 minutes so we don't get another penalty lottery, yeah?
4511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2021/2022 on: May 04, 2022, 04:30:16 PM
To all asking about quotes... Funny no one found anything even asking over a week ago as I already had bets out soon as it happened heh.

Anyway, see Fairlay. Always early markets there for Crypto.  Liverpool the clear favs at about 21/10 and Chelsea 35/10. With the way the Blues have been playing lately, maybe no surprise. Drew with United and fighting a goal down against Everton right now.

Hope it is a sign of things to come rather than them just preparing for the final...

Still, this is a niche service and most bettors use simpler options, but thank you for the information.
It turns out that these are quotes for regular time, right? 2.1 on Liverpool and 3.5 on Chelsea because if these are quotes for the full outcome, then I see the opportunity to make a guaranteed bet  Roll Eyes
Frankly, I'm surprised that Liverpool is quoted so highly. Yes, Liverpool are stronger than Chelsea, but this is the FA Cup, not the Champions League.

It's probably really niche, yes, but crypto is, arguably, pretty niche too, and while most big books are really catching up, markets still tend to be thin on selections, so you can always go P2P with platforms like Fairlay (and put your own bets there if you can't find anything else).

It's also a really good place for me to check odds, especially on longshots.

You're right about the estimate on Liverpool, I'm so used to getting 3/1 or 4/1 whenever we meet the Chelskis and the Cities that it's a shock to see us being a firm favourite. Chelsea are flopping around in EPL but this is their only chance at redemption so they will give pour everything into this!

4513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the fees aren't enough? on: May 04, 2022, 03:01:44 PM
Not so much a case of heresy but a convenient ignorance of reality. Block rewards themselves are enough incentive for miners at the moment, and will continue to be so for the foreseeable 3 or 4 halvings (provided Bitcoin value also follows trends).

Fees per block, just looking over the last 20 or so are 2-6k, and that's at most txs using minimum fee.

The frequency of not-full blocks are also proof of this (sample) and just over 7 hours ago we had a near empty block when there certainly were mempool txs waiting.

@nullama, great share too and I also believe this will be more of the case during the next couple of halvings.
4514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: May 04, 2022, 01:44:22 PM
The Specials tab for sports looked really bare the last few days, so now I suppose they're announcing the specials like before again, in Club Talk and only for a few hours? I was really looking for those daily super boosts (the red boost, not the regular 24hr ones) for Liverpool to win the game at HT but didn't see.

J1 League extra price boosts on today till Friday. I usually bet on Grampus and Antlers in AFC Cup but little else heh.

4516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid to buy Bitcoin in its bearish state? on: May 04, 2022, 12:55:30 PM
Never been afraid to buy (or in my case, earn), funny now I think of it. Each time clients offer to pay in stablecoin even I put down a hard no. It does mean I'm sitting on much lower value earnings from the past year or so, haha, and liquidating at lower values -- so that's where I'm afraid, when selling. Afraid's not even the right word. Wistfully regretful ha!

Can't ever see myself being too worried in bearish states though, as long as I'm anchored on the next rally... which I guess happens in 2 or 3 years from now.

First half of tonight Champions League match was more interesting than I expected with Villarreal winning by two goals, and I guess Liverpool entered in match to relaxed.

Actually relaxed was anything but how Liverpool played the first half! Admittedly, I totally underestimated that, and lost HT win bets as a result, luckily recovered in some measure with ML bets... 8 minutes in Istanbul to turn things around, and 12 minutes in Villarreal to do the same. At least you can't accuse Liverpool of not serving up entertainment!

My favourite banner seen at the game: Up the F🏆cking Reds!

Let's enjoy more bets tomorrow at the expense of the riyal. What do you expect, will the city collapse in front of Blanco?

Bernabeu magic, why not? I can't really see City slipping up, my gut says they'll win this comfortably, but happy for Real to prove me wrong.

I really prefer to play Real in the final, purely for the fact of not wanting the possibility of losing to another English team.

Real putting us out in 2018, Atletico in 2020, then Real again in 2021... we have a bone to pick with Madrid teams so I want this too!
4519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: May 03, 2022, 07:05:53 PM
Lol, you're either a Manchester United or a Spanish football fan, because those are the only two people I can think of right now who are against Liverpool advancing to the final. Well, it's too late now; all you can do is bet on Liverpool to win tonight and take profit. I'm a Chelsea fan, but I'd like to see another all-English final this year.

Or a City fan Wink They would prefer to meet Villareal in the final (if they win haha) and now they've got the early goal, I guess it's game on heh. Not the start I wanted, of course, but I guess we needed some drama for this to be memorable ouch.

Didn't know or forgot you were Chelsea supporter. We see you again in FA Cup...
4520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: May 03, 2022, 03:58:21 PM
^ Didn't really notice odds rightaway but it's always been about 17/10 for me though you're right, with a boost on Sportsbet now you can catch it at 1.85 even, not bad huh?

I'm probably being a bit dumb to pick 0-3 for this but you know, it's too late to get 1st spot. Locked to see as am curious and hahay's got a Villareal win Wink

Anyway, after this week, should be able to see who to pay prizes out, though can't see anyone other than Harko/Halab taking 1st place. I'll probably even be able to pay out already before the final, just to clear responsibilities before I get naughty heh.
