4501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 23, 2021, 11:58:17 PM
In the championship match, Lille scored 1-0 with a goal scored by J. David in the assist of Renato Sanches.  If they can keep this score, they will receive the fourth Championship in Lille history. Paris SG, now draw 0-0 with Brest.

Lille were able to double their just before halftime from the penalty spot, and that should do it, imo.

They duly deserve to win the league and that'd be their reward for being consistent all through the season.
I don't think they duly deserve to win the Ligue 1 this season, they only finish 1 single point above Paris Saint-Germain, and they've only been able to win with one goal ahead of Angers(1-2) while PSG has beaten Brest by 2 goals with a clean sheet after playing matches of French Cup and winning it and matches of the Champions League
4502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet365 just achieved a big milestone. on: May 23, 2021, 11:40:47 PM
This is how gambling owners make money and turn rich. Is the owner have reached on the top list of the rich people of UK. Bet365 has years of history, and the reputation never declined. Soon we can expect cryptocurrency accepted gambling site owners getting listed on the top.

Definitely, Cryptocurrency gambling is the future we have a lot of candidates to get into the list maybe next year, we can have one on the list the top contenders are Stake, Betfury Sportsbet we have at least twenty of the best Crypto gambling site and we have many gamblers shifting to Cryptocurrency.
I agree for Stake, while I think they don't need to wait till the next year because they are already a real top contender of the biggest fiat sportsbooks like Bet 365 IMO but I've never heard of Betfury sportsbet. Betfury has opened a sportsbook you mean? I haven't any account on betfury so I can't see how it looks through there and when I google it I don't get any relevant results. So it's a private sportsbook or it's still in beta version? Do you know where we can find some pictures of it?

Well I was replying to Mahdirakib and we were talking about betting on the BTC price range on Freebitco.in actually. We were not talking about sport bets and I don't know any other sportsbook offering bets on the BTC price range, so I don't understand how we could do arbitrages with other sportsbooks. In fact forecasting BTC and other cryptocurrencies price is extremely hard because of the volatile nature of crypto assets, that's why bookmakers are not able to calculate odds for that and only parimutuel betting sportsbooks like freebitco.in can offer markets for this kind of bets.

Betting on btc price range forecasts? How is it possible?
Are there some price tiers with specified odds which change frequently based on the bets each tier gets? Or they are fixed by the website? I didn't go to freebitcoin since years now as the faucet value is nothing because of the price of btc, but if the prizes are big to predict btc price, I guess will need to begin playing there. Wink
Yes that's exactly how it works, odds are not fixed by the website or by an odds provider, but they are calculated from the amounts bet on each price range previously defined by the website, so odds currently appearing on the page are not the final odds that will be used for the payouts at the end but just stand for an indication of it. Hence it means you have to guess the right outcome but you also need to guess what will be the final odds for this outcome.

They've certainly placed their bets on this price range because they thought the final odds will be profitable for this outcome, it's not easy to predict how odds will finish in a mutual betting market, that's why it's usually better to wait till the last hours and even the last minutes to place bets on those particular markets. But I don't think bettors place their bets based on a so-called normal situation, those doing that are wrong and are the losers, bettors should place their bets based on the likeliness of situations to happen, and a dip of the BTC price is never unlikely to happen. That's reality.

Not at all easy. The only advantage I can really see is the early bird multiplier -- and going in against the majority of the market, which is where the real value is. Have played only a few times on bets here and the value on a regular book for sports is way better than here, counting the fact you pay out commissions and don't get a good multiplier -- I've looked back and saw the difference to be too much (even at almost max multiplier).

So yeah, only go in last minute, to get the best idea of odds -- but in which case you still see higher value in most regular markets. I could be wrong though, or don't have enough experience here.

So I thank you very much but I suggest you to keep the prize and maybe if one day you have enough time, to organize a contest for another event with it, if you want.

Nah, contest is contest and if only two users enter, that is not your problem. So, vite vite, give me BTC address - maybe you can do contest with it next year Grin

And gratz for your bets.
ja ja schnell  Cheesy
So as you want bro, I'll try to make a contest myself with your prize but I really want to avoid cheaters with multi-accounts and spammers who post in this section while not gambling in real life and not even liking it. So I don't know how I'll do that and I'll need some advice. If you have ideas tyKiwanuka don't hesitate.

Happy for Italy Smiley My bets weren't that good I think Tongue

LOL thank you very much tyKiwanuka but with only 2 contestants I don't think we can decently call that a contest. So I thank you very much but I suggest you to keep the prize and maybe if one day you have enough time, to organize a contest for another event with it, if you want.

I put some beer money on 1xbet. I use the bookmaker for a quite long time so will recommend it to everyone when it comes to picking one.

The screenshot is taken a minute ago. The odds were different when I made my bet.
Unfortunately, unlike crypto sportsbooks like Stake, 1xbet is banning many European countries  Sad So I don't think it will be a viable solution for most of Eurovision bettors... Moreover I'm not sure it is well reputed  Undecided  @Sportbettor have you made a review of this sportsbook?

BTW there is a thread about the Eurovision contest in the gambling discussion section, so feel free @mediaBuzz and @boltz to share your predictions or opinions there Wink https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5304740
Here is the discussion thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5304740.0

1xBet is actually in my living country too, but the restriction works only for desktop, they have a mobile app that you can download from AppStore if you are an iPhone user. And on the desktop, very basic VPN will solve the problem.
Thank you for the informations, but do you know if they also have a mobile app for Android, because I'm not using an Iphone smartphone neither an Ipad tablet nor any other Apple device. Besides that, you claim we can reach their desktop website from banned countries through VPNs, but what about KYC? If a KYC procedure is needed to register we won't be able to regularly enroll there.
4512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Pro Kabaddi League Discussion and updates on: May 22, 2021, 05:22:26 PM
The betting access to these games were available with the 1xbet.com, same time there is more controversy stating that this particular website has got lots of scam accusations and the service isn't that good. Other than this I haven't come across other gambling websites listing the games of the Pro Kabaddi League.

I just saw that 1xbet is still offering betting markets for Kabaddi contests but does anyone know if other sportsbooks accepting cryptocurrencies are currently offering markets for Kabaddi competitions and broadcasting live streams of matches? Value bets could usually be found in the least known sports and events.

If we look at stake.com's odds both Yan Xiaonan and Rob Font have an advantage and have the favor for the odds.

Don't forget to take into account the KO double winnings bonus that will be applied for these 2 fights on Stake.
I understand you are betting on Rob Font for the main event but I didn't understand what will be precisely your pick for the other fight Yan Xiaonan VS Carla Esparza.

Is there not a fight night scheduled next week? I've got used to having fights every weekend or at least close to that, so when there isn't one I feel like something is missing in my life Tongue

I'm going with Rob Font, but I won't be betting on the fight, its way too close to call. Not even going for an alternative bet like rounds or anything. It should at least be a good fight to watch, and hopefully is what we are all predicting; competitive.
I agree it's not easy to make H2H predictions when contestants are very close to each other in terms of overall levels, and the meeting is likely to be tight. But IMO when you like gambling, odds above 2.00 in expected tight matchs are usually interesting because being paid more than 1/1 or +100 for a head or tail game is very likely to be profitable on the long run. Moreover possible bonuses from the sportsbook could enhance this expected profit.

Im looking for a bookie that offers eurovision top10. By the moment just find only winner market in stake. Thanks
That's the day of the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The show will start at 19:00 UTC and you can watch it in live on Youtube if there is no TV channel broadcasting it in your country https://eurovision.tv/story/watch-eurovision-2021

If you still want to bet on it , currently Stake is offering markets for ESC2021 winner, Top10, Top5, Top Nordic country, Top Balkan country, Top Big 5 country, Televote winner and Jury vote winner.

If BTC price normally shows much volatile movement I don't understand why you're finding the current situation not realistic. Those kind of movements aren't unusual for BTC and everyone betting or trading should take into account the likeliness of them to occur even when volatility seems to be low. ~snip~
Bettors place their bets based on normal situation. Current situation is unrealistic because of the ban news of China and FUD made by Elon on twitter. As a result, bitcoin price is more volatile than the normal situation, that's why I said it. If you observe the recent price movement of BTC then it will be clear to you. Bitcoin price is below $40k now and almost 50% bet amount has been placed in $40,001 - $42,500 price range.
They've certainly placed their bets on this price range because they thought the final odds will be profitable for this outcome, it's not easy to predict how odds will finish in a mutual betting market, that's why it's usually better to wait till the last hours and even the last minutes to place bets on those particular markets. There is something on Freebitco.in that are triggering my Anti-virus to report this :

Type: Contains adware, auto-dialers, legitimate software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data
Name: not-a-virus:HEUR:AdWare.Script.Pusher.gen
Precision: Partially
Threat level: Medium
Object type: File
Object name: pushpad.js
Object path: https://pushpad.xyz
Reason: Expert analysis
Databases release date: Today, 2021/05/22 08:55:00 AM

I have done a full re-do on my computer, because of a recent harddrive crash and re-installed everything onto a brand new harddrive and I still get this error when I open Freebitco.in. (I get zero alerts from any other website and a full scan shows that my computer is virus free)

Any idea what this is?
I don't understand your question, you are really asking what is it or you are asking why freebitcoin is using it?
Pushpad is obviously an external service used by freebitcoin to offer web push notifications. If you've allowed them, you get them when some promotions are available or are about to start, for example.
I don't know why their JS script is not appreciated by your antivirus, but you will certainly get the same alert on the other websites using this service.
You can block those notifications in the settings of your web browser.
4518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can not crash on: May 22, 2021, 02:34:43 AM
This week has been the worst week of my day, I started to worry about my asset ownership in biitcoin which is getting smaller and smaller and I'm depressed seeing the market now.
yesterday I planned to sell all my assets but I tried to think positive again because I believe this is not the end of everything.
it is true for now my assets are shrinking and the amount is not small, but I will continue to be hodlers because I believe my assets will return to normal and possibly will continue to grow in the future
I feel sorry for your loss but newbies shouldn't invest in cryptocurrencies, because high volatile assets are not for newbies. The price of Bitcoin is just the same as it was 3 months ago in february. So if you are depressed it shows you made something wrong like investing at All Time High price funds you can't afford to lose. Otherwise you are not enough strong to invest in a high volatile asset like cryptocurrencies.
4519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion & Betting] Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on: May 21, 2021, 11:57:22 PM
2nd semifinal were less interesting as the 1st one. There is not that many songs that I liked there. Finland song I liked most. San Marino also stuck in my mind. Serbia had very typical Eurovision song, but I suspect that they will get support from other Balkan countries.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bulgaria were one of favorites, but now they went down in bookmakers ratings. Interesting what's the reason of it. Not a fan of such type of songs, but their performance was emotional and probably it will be reason to get more votes.

The Belarus ban seems a bit sketchy to me, why would they ban something political in a song, that's the best way to make the public aware of how evil their government is, are they that scared of the lyrics of a song? I hope that the war in Armenia and every other country will finally end.
Actually, their song was indirect message supporting regime of Lukashenko. Belarus Eurovision participants are selected by state-owned television, so, they would never let participate someone who is against President and his regime.
I agree with you the overall level was lower than for the first semi-final, with less amazing performances IMO. And I don't know why but the "big serbians" Cheesy already get more than 4 million views on the ESC channel for their semi-final show, that's above the number of views of Efendi's performance 2 days before. I don't think they will finish in the top10 though but they could make a better score than expected.

I was just talking about EV, and I said that even if I am pretty bad at evaluating high odds, I wasn't sure there was high value in this odds at this moment. Are you a bettor Hahay? Which VIP rank are you on Stake? Because if you only bet on favorites you must be a newbie or a half-ruined gambler Cheesy LOL
I only bet on the favorites as well (90%+ of the time) as well and I have been gambling for like 15 years now. Just because you have a system doesn't mean that you are a noob, some people like to purely gamble on the possible winners, if a favorite is a favorite for a reason then why not gamble for them. Sure if you see the favorite at 1.1 and the underdogs at 9 and you think underdogs has a better chance than 9.00 then you say "this is a good bet", I am not against that logic and I understand why others would do it, if you feel like it should be more like 1.7 to 2.9 instead of 1.1 to 9, then you go for that 9 and that makes sense.

However that doesn't force me to bet on the underdogs, the favorites are still favorites and I can still bet on them, even if it is not a good bet, and most of the time I will be right. That is how I have gambled for nearly 15 years now.
Everyone has his own style and methods but finding value in low odds takes more time with smaller ROI on the long run IMO. It's just more easy and quicker to find it in higher odds I think. But you missed my point, hayhay said it was a challenge to bet on the underdogs while it's a very common practice among bettors that's why I said it looks like a pretty rookie comment.
