4501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: June 30, 2016, 12:51:48 PM
yes but the current network is filled with something like 120K gpu, assuming 30MH for each gpu

we can assume that each miner in the world even newbie, can easily add 1/3, i mean a guy with one rig can without problem add 2 gpu to his mining setup every month(actually i think he can add much more the increase is not linear is somehow exponential...)

so the whole network can grow by 1/3 each month, which is 12k gpu, so 360 GH, and this by counting the bar minimum that anyone can add to his farm
4502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: June 30, 2016, 12:18:02 PM
i'm not saying that it's not possible, but there is too much risk for them for something that is supposed to go pos in few months

they need to invest upfront a very big portion of their money, it is more easy for them to simply buy gpu at this point...
4503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: June 30, 2016, 11:50:53 AM
this assumes that you know the gpu chip structure... not sure nvidia or amd want to share that with anybody Wink
unless it's themselves doing that.

yeah he is putting it like they can simply look at the circuit and replicate the chip and everything perfectly, also designing a chip it's not free...

it does not work like this, all i know is that is very easy for a big farm to add other gpu in their already big farm

a 1000 gpu farm can easily add 100 gpu each week, which is 12GH a month, network is onyl 3.85 tera currently

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EObu3zhEBKE&t=53m22s

Here you can see 4 stock 480 are doing 710w per system - even if you count 80w for the system - its 158w per card!
So its nowhere near 112W GPU-Z is showing for eth mining - apparently its just ASIC (GPU) only and the rest 55W is board and memory - but its not showing it GPUz
Sure you are hoping for BIOS mods and undervolting - but that to be seen what hash and power draw could be achieved
so it should be 1028 W per 6 gpu system (will be a bit more with risers added and psu efficiency loss) - I got 630 for 6 1080 at 23mhs each and I get 730 with 6 1070 at 27mhs each for the whole system... (that includes 21W for the 3 noctua 140mm 3000rpm fans in the system)

did you managed to push the 1070 to the same hash as linux, on windows or still not possible? i see that the last drivers on win 10 are already wddm 2.1

Not yet - should be available next week, but yes - its easy to get over 30mhs with oc in Win 10 - but thats too much on memory - it will not hold/will get the board damaged
I prefer 27 at 105w Smiley

mmh strange that guy said that they were stable at 37mh on linux, you tried pushing them so far to see if they can reach the same as linux?

With difficulty of Ethereum jumping by 35% in 3/4 weeks Shocked

Do you reckon ASIC mining hardware is shipping amongst insiders?

From Dash coin, engineers where making small batches of ASIC X11 miners, long before commercial products became available to the community in April this year!

No... Dagger is designed in a way that makes it extremely ASIC resistant (in addition to being better 'gpu' resistant). This is just megafarms scaling up in addition to all the Eth babies.
It's more like someone ( i.e. Genesis etc.) bought batch of 1070s or 1080s or 480s... and paid someone to make /adapt miner...

Trend starts before all 3 cards began shipping.

12Ths increase in difficulty every 4 weeks, looks more like a small batch private ASIC hardware is shipping out each month.

I just mentioned it: people might be rushing out to buy more GPUs for Dagger, when ROI is looking unlikely!

chinese can add gpu like you add cheerios to your cup of milk

30 gpu = 1 tera, so that s 360 gpu, which is nothing for some folks

i doubt there are asic for this, too hard and too costly to do

They may be costly to produce, but they are out there!

When Ethereum crashed below 0.014BTC Shocked Shocked Shocked 10THS of difficulty disappeared Shocked Shocked Shocked

There was no increase in hashpower on Lyra2v2 or neoscrypt Alts Grin

Locked hashpower on Dagger algorithm is summarised as: ASIC Hardware Wink

Big investors have dumped all their positions in EXPANSE, because they know there are ASICs out there.

just lag i think , it would be stupid to spend million for an asic chip that can mine ethereum at current rate which is not so profitable like in the good old days

pure speculations :-)
gtx 1070 on the way to me... let's see if I can fix neoscrypt on it.

good to hear, i hope you can fix it and increase to 1200-1300 khs

Yelp, lag that lasted 12-20 hours.

Amazing lag on Ethereum Network, when 23% of hashpower goes missing when price is below 0.014BTC Wink

maybe a big chinese farm or something went down due to maintanace, you never know, i don't believe in asic for this, not productive for them

4508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. (Card is Released) on: June 30, 2016, 09:42:29 AM
Just FYI - the problem with reference 480 is that it stresses pcie power
just for comparison - 480 draws 80w in stock (up to 100w OC) from pcie connector (290x - 32w, 380x - 48w) this is 24/7 it will stress your motherboard 12v or USB/Ribbon riser power - so it might a good idea to wait and see what happens to reference/custom design in this regard
now - its 80w minimum per card - so 6 should draw at least 480W through risers - and even with molex splitting up in 2 separate 12V lines in PSU might burn you risers/card slots (some use molex to sata - which is much worse)
Just be really careful with multiple 480 rigs!

for comparison with 290x and 380x read here under Update 6 https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/4qfwd4/rx480_fails_pcie_specification/

Normally it is ATX power connector (12V pins) that gives up first. And you don't need six cards to do that, I have done it with only two gtx 750ti.

i presume those were without any 6 pin, just absorbing power from the pci-e

is the pool coming anytime soon, before this will be an exclusive for big farm only?
4510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. (Card is Released) on: June 30, 2016, 07:07:45 AM

Well, I will be waiting for them to fix that if it can even be fixed or waiting for the 470 for sure now. And I am now not trusting AMD here. Advertised such a tremendous power efficiency that is all a lie?

They stated 150 TDP

its inline with that , from the wall you lose efficency due to waste from the PSU which is why people are seeing 160-170 watts

ALl the folks expecting 100 watts to get 27 -28mhs were fooling themsleves although i hear the 1070 gtx gets 30 mhs for 120 watts but until they fix it to run on windows I'm not touching that.

it's more than 30, much more, and still only for less than 150w, but for now it work that good only with linux, maybe already on windows with the last drivers, someone should try it

i really don't understand the rate just, aren't your website all in bitcoin, what should change if bitcoin is worth 500 or 10k, the revenue in bitcoin from what we are advertising should always be the same because it is in bitcoin and not in fiat...

huh? It's an exchange and processor among other things. people put fiat in and get bitcoin out. higher the bitcoin price, the less bitcoin coinsbank takes.

people are buying the same amount of coin hence more fiat are involved, now, that's exactly why bitcoin is higher, so it does not make sense, the revenue is lower for something else, low interest, not because bitcoin is high in value...

consensus folder for those with a slow connection who want it synced and want it synced now.  Cheesy

https://mega.nz/#!vpdymSKT!56vswhQEGyTwuutXvT7gnJdmq0za7CpwQ-eGwpkxPmw
RAR = SH!T
Compress it with 7-zip Cheesy
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/CqQt/hXf4NDyDw

And looks like SC = best coin for GTX 960

Is this old version compatible with new wallet?

no it give a 404 error, only work with 0.5.2, but you can use the open cl version, which is working, but worse in terms of hashrate

how much coins from 1 block!? How long to mine 1 block?
Thx

how many gpu you have? you need a small farm at this point, the diff is too high

the overall profit seems to be around 0.04 btc a day with a single 6 x 970 rig, but due to variance, you need many weeks to get that profit...

by the time this coin get a pool it will not be profitable anymore

so no copy past in the last version seriously?

Where is copy-pasting not working?

my bad i was referring to the one incorporated in the wallet, not the defaul ctrl+c in windows

Will the 1070 actually do 37 or is that just an estimate?

that''s not the real question, because the answer is yes, it can do 37MH, the real question is, can this reach 37MH on windows too or just 30-32?

for now those 37 can only be reached on ubuntu 14.04 tls not even the desktop version
4516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. (Card is going to be released ) on: June 29, 2016, 11:29:39 AM
On the ethereum forum someone already has the 480. It hashes at 24MH/s using Claymore and uses 200watts from the wall.

well that is really bad, i don't know what is all the deal with this 480 when a 1070 is vastly better seriously

but it's ok less demand on the 1070 i guess
I didnt measure with power meter but i dont think its 200w - if its total system consumption still should be a bit less but depends on the system and power supply - is it with claymore single eth or with decred?

even at 140w is really bad versus a thing that can do 37MH with the same wattage, and they are not sold at $200 like many believe, they are already at $250 due to demand and probably more

btw did you tried the 1070 with the fix for windows 10?

The 1070 can do 37 MH/s ? Really ? For me the R9 470 is the best plan : ~22 MH/s for 100W. That's perfect.

the 1070 is better if you can put 6 in a system and have more than 200MH. The system overhead per hash is lower.

If she can deliver 37 MH/s I'll rather buy those, with the first in just one week. But what I'm afraid of is that I'll have to use Linux. I can't use my beloved Windows 7 ?

yes you can but we need to wait for genoil to fix it for win 7 for win 10 should be plug and play in 1 week
4517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: June 29, 2016, 10:14:48 AM
Any proof for these claims?
Last I saw was 200MH per 6 cards with absurd overclock. How long will these cards survive?

those are new gpu, they can sustain higher overclock, check about the possibility with pascal they can be pushed easily to 1800 core and more

the same for amd 480x

the proof is one guy doing it in the ethereum(complete guide and anything) forum under linux only for the moment, but soon it should be possible under windows

complete guide? ...

do you have the link please mate? ...

1MH/s = 1000KH/s
20MH/s = 20000KH/s
20000KH/s= 120000 ESP/min
Per h = 7200000 ESP
Per day = 172800000 ESP
Per week = 1209600000 ESP

Is that possible?

20 sec blocks, 50000 esp per block.
Total production 150000 esp per min

In order to get 120000 esp per min you need to control 80% of total mining power.

If right now 20Mh is total hashrate and suddenly you show up with another 20Mh you will control only 50% of 40Mh total and will be making 75000 per min

How many can we mine if we just make use of the QT wallet running on a laptop for a couple of hours per day?

Are you asking about the current wallet which can only mine with cpu or the new one, which will be available soon and will include optimised gpu mining?
If the latter, nobody knows as the diff will rise a lot.

why it should rise a lot the price is something like 5 litoshi, assuming that a gpu (970, 390) can pull off 2MH, you have 10M coin mined a day, which is something like 400k-500k satoshi, 0.004-0.005, not so better than mining lyra, eth, feathercoin...

it should rise because people currently mining with sgminer will get 5x the hashrate.

how much is the final hashrate? should be around 3M per gpu?

i really don't understand the rate just, aren't your website all in bitcoin, what should change if bitcoin is worth 500 or 10k, the revenue in bitcoin from what we are advertising should always be the same because it is in bitcoin and not in fiat...

That's the way things are, i.e. the fact that you don't understand something doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong with that, and not with your own logic. In this case, the change in rates can be easily explained by the fact that the exchange internal accounting is obviously still done in fiat (since they pay bills, taxes, and wages in fiat). It means that with the Bitcoin price rise, the signature campaign expenditures (in fiat terms) also rise accordingly...

anyway the day of the reset was due 27 of this month, so two days missed already(not counting this one)

It seems that you are afraid that your posts made since the reset day will be lost. I understand your apprehensions

i wasn't implying that it is wrong, i was implying that it was done in the wrong way, they should pay their bills in bitcoin, they would remove fiat from the equation

anything can be done in bitcoin already, nowadays, this should cut this thing about decrese in payment when bitcoin skyrocket

about my post i'm not really afraid, because i'm posting much more than my limit(no one will be the first poster here besides me, that the reason lol) but i don't like messy payment....
