4521  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Doge is going nuts so buy my CryptoImperator 10k DogeCoin for $1500 on: February 12, 2021, 12:32:04 PM
I was gifted a spent 50000 Shibanu 2015 Physical Dogecoin a long time ago, holo in tact (crinkled a little) what's it worth?

At the moment the Doge on them is worth over $3k the last one I saw sold, which was last week the coin had about the same premium as this one ~$750.
On a coin with 10k doge the $750 is just a bigger percentage, but there are some people out there that think it's going to be $.25 a doge soon so there is a tremendous potential upside.
If you spend some time in the altcoin boards you can see what people are saying.

I have no idea and I am actually slowing trying to shrink my collection a bit.
Some of these coins have not seen the light of day in 5+ years and the odds of my ever putting together a "display" in the house get smaller every day.
Might as well go to someone who will enjoy them.

Either way blucepheus paid for this one, so keep an eye out for more stuff in the coming weeks.

Good luck to all. Enjoy the weekend.

Still available since everyone else seems to have backed out or acquired elsewhere.

$1500 to the BTC address at preev.com rate in the 1st post gets you the coin.

4523  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recovering BTC from an old Coinbase multisig Vault on: February 11, 2021, 03:18:09 PM
This is what I see when I go to the tool page:

I have not entered any info in it, since I don't have any close by, but I can test later when I get home to see if it works.
Are you not getting that page or are you getting an error when you enter data?

As I said, it's been a few years so I would have to go looking for my old paper work, with the keys, if I still even have it.

4524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: February 11, 2021, 12:56:59 PM
Really stupid question from someone who has been here long enough to know what is safe but:

Is https://liteaddress.org/ the "legit" paper wallet generator for Litecoin?

I'm 99.99% sure it is, but before I move some coins out of an online wallet I figure a little conformation / verification would be good.

4525  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recovering BTC from an old Coinbase multisig Vault on: February 10, 2021, 11:36:37 PM
IIRC it was a 2 of 3 multisig wallet.
You had 2 keys Coinbase had 1, so with your 2 keys you could move funds.
There was also this option: https://coinbase.github.io/multisig-tool/
For you to dig through and get to your funds.

If you have your seeds you should be able to recover your funds.
Sorry I could not be more helpful

4526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the Max safe Temp for Nvidia cards on: February 10, 2021, 09:19:54 PM
You killed that 1070 yourself, I wonder how you could be comfortable with your gpu doing 95°C temp, it's surely going to die very faster, I get worried even if my cards hit 63°C I always have to crank the fan speed up to drag the temp back into 56 to 60°C Max but yes 70°C is the safest temp for nvidia graphic cards

I didn't kill it, it tried to commit suicide.
The fan spun off it's spindle. The the card thought the fan was spinning, as it got hotter it just kept spinning the fan motor, that was attached to nothing, faster and faster.
It hit 95 and shut down. Cooled off and repeated the cycle. I was remote at the time and all the other cards in the system were fine and according to the monitor the fan was working so I figured it was just a sensor error.

When I got in and found the problem I figured that is was dead. But, 1 new fan later it was back up and running for a long time after.

4528  Economy / Reputation / Re: Long-time sig campaign farm ID'd via single wallet transaction on: February 10, 2021, 07:44:58 PM
This brings up a question, is there someone who is willing to spend some BTC for an extended period just to frame someone?

I guess it would depend on the amount of BTC vs. the desire for revenge / screwing with people and their own economic situation.

If you REALLY REALLY pissed me off and for $30 week for 9 months (36 weeks) so a bit less then $1100 it might just be worth it. If I could really screw with you.
**But it would have to have done something really over the top for me to do that. Like ulta horrible, it's just not me or my thing. Others may feel differently.**

OTOH, the sig campaign I am in and have been in for 40+ weeks is paying $60 so it would be blowing 1/2 my "free" money.
If someone felt really wronged, they could look at it as only earning $30 a week instead of spending $30 a week.

YMMV.

OK, seriously I have no real idea of what this is worth.
I sold one the other day for over $1k when Doge was a bit lower.
Join the insanity.

Heck if Doge keeps going you could MAKE money. Laugh if you want, but you never know.
I have no idea why Doge is where it is now in terms of price, but I'll cash in on it.

$1500 in BTC at preev rate.

Shipping included.
But you are going to have to sign for it :-)
Will ship anywhere you want, but if you want it insured then you are going to get hit with the customs value on the insured value.

Guys I'm getting 62°C on my GPUs today, it's kinda sunny over here are everywhere is hot, this is the first time I would see my GPUs reaching 62°C, they always stop at 58°C max even when mining 24hours a day, is this temp safe? What is the Max safe Temp for Nvidia graphics cards?

Which card / chip? Makes a big difference.

The 2080 are good to 85C

Older ones are good to well above 90C

The other components on the card? Well it depends on the card. Some cheap ass low end generic cards can't get above 75C without everything going to crap.
I have had ASUS 1070 cards going well above 95C before everything went to hell.

More info and you can get you a better answer, but 65C to 70C should be fine. (With enough airflow)

4532  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What online bank are compatible with coinbase? How to get your USD w/o a bank on: February 09, 2021, 12:38:53 PM
You can now transfer crypto into ameritrade and those other wall street brokers? Is this something new?

No, you can you use them as your checking account to get fiat to Coinbase / Gemini
There is no worry about any issues with other checking account providers since although it looks / feels / acts like a checking account it's actually part of a brokerage account.

I know several people who have used them for checking while only keeping a minimal amount in the brokerage part.

That or you can just fix your issues with chexsystems. Call your state banking department if you can't get satisfaction:

4533  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What online bank are compatible with coinbase? How to get your USD w/o a bank on: February 09, 2021, 02:42:55 AM
Is it trust worthy? I need the bitcoins to go into a different account then my main banking account to keep everything compartmentalized . Whats F2F do they mail you the money order?

F2F = face 2 face.
You meet and they hand you cash.
https://bisq.wiki/Face-to-face_(payment_method)

Or you can open an account at a brokerage Robinhood, Ameritrade, E*Trade, whatever and then use them for checking. They do not check chexsystems since it's not a "checking" account but a cash management account.

Gemini, is also an option, they have, or at least had a wire transfer option to put money in, so long as you can open any account anyplace that does wire transfers it should be fine.

4534  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: USBHarpoon - a charging cable that can hack your computer on: February 08, 2021, 10:03:38 PM
When was the last time you looked at the USB plug where your keyboard is plugged into:
https://hackerwarehouse.com/product/keygrabber/

What do you know about your network switch:
https://www.amazon.com/Dualcomm-DCSW-1005PT-Ethernet-Network-Pass-Through/dp/B003PCHAC6

Or how about your network cable:
https://greatscottgadgets.com/throwingstar/

Yeah, all of the above require access to you PC / home / office as opposed to just buying a wonky cable. Not going to dispute that.
But, most people are not even aware that things like this exist so it's probably good to put it out there.

4535  Other / Meta / Re: This shitty Merit System has ruined Bitcointalk and made it like Facebook on: February 08, 2021, 04:21:03 PM
It's been a while since we've had a good anti-merit rant. Unfortunately this one isn't even that good, just the same old fake complaints. Merits are not scarce, good posts are. Throwing a tantrum and threatening to stop posting here won't impress anyone.

OP get out of the altcoin section(s) and post some GOOD posts elsewhere and you should be able to get some more merit.
This is bitcointalk, you are going to get more traction talking about BTC then alts.
Yes, you can get merits in the alts, I have gotten some there and sent some there. But, I tend to, as do others, give more merit on the boards in the bitcoin section.

I also see you post a lot in the German section, no idea how many merits flow there, that might also be an issue, can't be sure since I don't speak German.

Anyone still here who earned some of that 25 Bitcoins or 55 euros at that time, and over 800k euros today?  Cheesy
Even if they're still here, I'm sure they rather hide [if they still own some of it Cheesy] than to expose themselves as a potential target for scammers/hackers out there.

I'm surprised we haven't [yet] seen a significant amount of tournaments [especially FPS ones] that give BTCitcoins to their winners.

huh, i didn't know 1080p streaming wasn't feasible to many people 10 years ago. Fascinating
There are still places [in 2021] that HD streaming is still a dream for them, let alone the ability to stream in FHD.

There are a lot of places with really poor access.
That is what Starlink / Kuiper help to alleviate.
Problem is Kuiper has not launched yet, and Starlink despite what EM says is still a while a way from being useful.
5G can help a bit but you are still have the issue of distance. If you are miles from town very few cell companies are going to put out a tower in the middle of nowhere for you.

4537  Other / Meta / Re: Remove Signatures from Altcoin-sections on: February 08, 2021, 01:34:57 AM
The problem is and continues to be the fact that there are users that do not understand how thread bumping works in the altcoin section:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236143.0
So, there are signature spammers, and spammers in general just infesting it.
And the people who are just posting to get their token signatures out there.

As I have said before if the entire altcoin section (Which I do use) went away tomorrow I would not miss it that much.
Many others feel the same way.

4538  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing the FutureBit Apollo BTC - A Full Node/Mining Platform for the Home! on: February 08, 2021, 12:08:52 AM
Funny thing is im working with a few pools to see who Im going to go with to solve the payout issue for small miners, and you were on my list to contact. Guess the 100PH worth of shitty miners I could bring to your pool and 10x your hashrate is not worth it then huh?

Kano has the small miner payout solution, just don't pay out dust and keep telling people it will be done "soon".

Yea most pools offer at least a .0005 min BTC payout, but that would still take nearly a year with one hashboard. Solution to get that down to .0001 or lower is pretty simple and already in some talks to make it happen. But yes the minimum time horizon anyone should expect a payout is at least month, which obviously halves with each hashboard you add.

According to my math 2.7 TH with todays difficulty you are looking at about ~85 days to get to .001 which is the minimum payout of some pools BTC. There might be some that do .0005 but I have not looked in a while.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/btc?HashingPower=2.7&HashingUnit=TH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=250&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1

As for the cost, yet again just ignore Kano. Yeah, it's an inefficient miner. But you know what, it does not LOOK like a miner. That matters.

I took an old BFL Monarch, (the liquid cooled ones) put it in a PC mid-tower case with a 750W PS, added a RPi and have a 675 GH/s DEAD SILENT space heater. Is it as efficient as a 1 board S9 or S17 or an R4 or..... no it is not. But it also just looks like a PC in the corner of the room. Oh, and since the RPi has wifi there is no network cable just a power cable.

If you built something like that, no matter HOW inefficient it is, it would sell. Think about it, a black silent box about the size of mid sized PC doing about 10TH @ 750w just heating the room. In almost silence. If you can figure out a way to use off the shelf water blocks instead of an air-cooled heatsink all the better.

Looks like the pool is down again.

I got it back up last night. Seems to be working, someone is mining there at least.

Small favor, if you see it down don't just post here also PM me. I don't always check thread post notifications when they come in while I am working but I do tend to at least read some of the PMs.

Not sure what happened, the DB just stopped responding for some reason. I hope it's not hardware again.

I will take all 4 if you don't mind using an escrow for this.

You have not posted for 18 months give or take before this so it just makes me a bit paranoid.

Or, if you want to trust me you can ship and I'll pay once they are here. Up to you.
