4521  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyday where the price hasn't exploded to the moon yet is celebration day on: July 20, 2016, 11:39:46 AM
I remember when I wanted to invest 2k€ into bitcoins when price was 400€.. people held me back, saying "noo you will lose it all"... I regret listening to people.
well yeah i guess it is better to always think with your own head in order to avoid people telling nonsense, i always buy my bitcoins and i dont care what others say to be honest

That is right. After I bought the bitcoin, I do not watch the price very often. As I am not a trader.
4522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyday where the price hasn't exploded to the moon yet is celebration day on: July 10, 2016, 10:53:17 AM
Well I trust bitcoin now. I add some to my stash day to day accumulating it hoping it would have a very big value many years from now. At first I doubt bitcoin but now I fully trust that it will meet my expectations.

I am doing the same. I am trying my best to collect the bitcoin. I hope I can get 10 bitcoin in 10 year's time.

Compared to the price in a few years, the price now is very low. So it is better to buy as much as you can.

I think the price now is a good price to buy. If the price drops below $600, that is even better price to buy.
4523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: June 22, 2016, 09:42:08 AM
The Ethereum price rose a lot in the last 24 hours. It was not very profitable for me yesterday, it is very profitable now.

the Ethereum price is too volatile. It makes it very difficult for the miners to decide if they want expand or not.
4524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyday where the price hasn't exploded to the moon yet is celebration day on: June 08, 2016, 01:49:56 PM
The price is $478 now. It is going up very fast, about 5% in a day. So there is a possibility the price will go even higher.
The price has gone up a bit too fast if you ask me.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see the price fall back to below $460 again as there is barely any support at these levels.

We will see some correction that's for sure.
Question is when it will happen.I hope we will continue climbing until the end of the week and correct down to 460-470 as the new bottom. And maybe with a bit of luck we will see the $500 before halving. That would be awesome.

the thing is that china is currently over $500 now and other exchanges are quite behind. if chinese exchanges stay above $500 then other exchanges will come around $10 to maybe $15 closer to china as they are more than $20 behind at the moment. if china falls back to let's say $480 then other exchanges will dip down another $10 to $20. i am already happy if we can see the price stay above $450.

The $500 price is a history now. The price of the bitcoin is around $576 at the moment. It shall rise again in the next few months.
4525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyday where the price hasn't exploded to the moon yet is celebration day on: May 25, 2016, 09:36:37 AM
Everyday that I can still buy Bitcoin at 3 figures a BTC is a celebration day for me < snip >

Got a lifetime of celebrating ahead of you, you lucky boy!

You have to take a long term view of the price. The price of bitcoin has not risen for about 6 months already.

That is right. When the price starts to rise, it will rise very high. I think the next all time high in 12 months.
4526  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyday where the price hasn't exploded to the moon yet is celebration day on: May 11, 2016, 02:46:38 PM
The price is indeed low long term, but one always has the doubt if it is low short term and can buy a little cheaper, or sell and rebuy lower lol.

The price is trading between $445 to $465. So we can buy at 445 and sell at 465. But we might miss out if the price rises above 465.
4527  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyday where the price hasn't exploded to the moon yet is celebration day on: April 27, 2016, 08:47:32 PM
That is right. I wish the bitcoin price to be lower so that I can buy more before it moves to higher price.
4528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.0.6 on: April 12, 2016, 05:48:05 PM
The Claymore new eth miner is about 3-5% faster than the ethminer. Is that also faster than 1.0.6?

I have only tested 1.0.7 against claymore's on a 7950 in ETH only mode. 1.0.7 has a different kernel but shouldn't affect speed on AMD that much. My miner showed slightly higher hash rates but that could be due to a different way of calculation.

Is your 1.0.7 faster than the previous versions of 1.0.6 or 1.0.4? Do they use the same mining kernel?
4529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low Hashrate with R9 380x Ethereum mining on: April 04, 2016, 05:21:06 PM
Drivers depend on your hardware setup, I put the latest on my pc with 2x7950's and it would hash fine for a few minutes and then crash the graphics.  Under 15.12 they would hash slow at about 20gh and then under 15.11 I got the best stable hash at about 36 gh and no gpu crashes.

I recommend 15.11 and only install the drivers not the other junk they bundle.  Also make sure to uninstall previous, reboot, install, reboot and you should be good.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064

I thought the 15.11 is the beta version, does it also work properly as the other normal versions?
4530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: March 27, 2016, 11:57:27 AM
Just lookup pools they all give you links to download a miner...  Roll Eyes

WOW hash hit a all time high today at 1700 GH today, I hope the price starts to slip upwards more to make up for this difficulty.  The reality is we know tons of people are putting rigs online, heh I wish ether was slightly less mainstream.

I'm glad it is - it keeps the people not paying attention mining Eth - meaning they're off everything else.

Is there anything else to mine really that has the same profits? There was PEPE last week which is more profitable then ETH but only for like 24 hours.

Oh, of course - and I'm not that interested in PEPE, either.

Would you mind giving a hint or sharing?

I looked at many different coins and algos and ETH is about 50% more profitable then all of them. Maybe with your private kernels you can make more than most.

Wolf0 lives on programming. So we have to buy the kernels from him. But he only deals with big miners.
4531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: March 14, 2016, 10:17:19 PM
Anyone mining with 750ti cards? Does it work? Or any one mining with 2gb cards?if yes ehat is your card and hashes?!

750Ti used to work well on Eth, but not any more. The DAG file is too large for 750Ti. So it is better to mine other coins.
4532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot Coins on: February 27, 2016, 09:20:36 PM
I think the hottest altcoin is the Ethereum. It has the largest market cap and it also has the largest trading volume.
It was hottest if you joined earlier now is very dangerous i think.
Be aware this was ICO and many investors will exit soon if price stop rising be sure in this!
You only can lose your money now!

It's been on the market at many times ICO price for 8 months.  If anyone wanted to exit they would have done already.   I think most of the ICO people left are long term holders now

Many Ethereum ICO investors haven't cashed out yet for lack of GUI.

The volume of the Ethereum before the big pump was already very high, so some of the ICO investors have dumped.
4533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: February 14, 2016, 11:00:30 AM
I think there is no way to earn a lot of free bitcoins fast, because it's needing hard work just like earning fiat and other currencies online or offline

Faucets for newbies, trading of goods/services for Jr. - Full Members and Sig camps for Sr. - Legendary members...
There's always a way when there's a will...

I think it is the right strategy to earn some bitcoins. But faucets are not for earning money, it is just for fun.
4534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: February 01, 2016, 11:56:45 AM
You can try multitasking to get free bitcoins.

There are games also at facebook where you can earn free like one from Daniel D'Alien where you would guess what kind of movie or character it is then you win 500k satoshi or more through his draws.

Is that a gambling? If so, we might lose money by doing that. If not, how can the own earn money out of ti?
4535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: January 22, 2016, 09:12:48 AM
If someone found a way for the fast money ..Just share it with us and we will send you a fee.. Roll Eyes

I believe the faster money comes in the faster it will go out. It's better to earn slowly and have a lot of bitcoins at the end. That is way better than having a lot really quick.
Slow and steady is the way to go when it comes to earning money/bitcoin.
yes, I think it is like that, if it wants to make a lot of money, there is no quick way, all must be done slowly, even gambling

Gambling is not the quick way to earn money, it is a quick way to lose money. The casino operator will earn the money quickly.
4536  Economy / Economics / Re: CNN: Money is flying out of China on: January 09, 2016, 07:46:19 AM
I am sure that if the stock market continues to swing down as it has, we'll see some more people in countries start pulling a cyprus, a lot of people have been worrying about a repeat of 2008/2009 for a while.

If the stock market drops another 10-15%, we will see some companies go bankrupt so it will affect the banking system.
4537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: December 27, 2015, 07:35:22 AM
If there is a way to earn free bitcoin fast, many people will use that way, over the time, that method will be less effective.
4538  Economy / Economics / Re: CNN: Money is flying out of China on: December 16, 2015, 07:35:42 AM
The rich Chinese will not buy bitcoin in exchanges. They will buy it off the exchange. There are so many miners there.

Am I the only one to find humor in a disgraced account merchant with red trust moralizing about scamming & trust ratings?
Cheesy

You are not the only one. I also have the same feeling. Maybe the negative were given not for scamming but for other reasons.
4540  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-11-25] ISIS parks its cash in Bitcoin, experts say on: November 25, 2015, 01:24:15 PM
I think an important quote is

"A GhostSec member said ISIS’ virtual currency amounts to between 1 percent and 3 percent of its total income – between $4.7 million and $15.6 million. The Treasury Department estimates that ISIS generates between $468 million and $520 million annually. The terror group’s primary sources of revenue are robbery, extortion, oil sales, ransom payments and overseas donations, according to the Treasury Department."

The overwhelming majority of the funds is fiat.

The authority should concentrate on tracking the fiat transaction of the IS, not bitcoin. It will distract its attention.
