4521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi on: September 08, 2019, 10:15:18 AM
Answer my question now,

Why do you need to know who Satoshi Nakamoto is?? What's the requirement??

Finding Satoshi has just became a wide goose chasing game which is leading to nowhere! Let's stop here! It makes no sense to find Satoshi or the creator of bitcoin! You have his creation so make use of it!
4522  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New FATF guidelines require professional crypto consultation on: September 08, 2019, 10:07:36 AM
The US and squeaky clean services like Gemini and Bitpay will comply, but it'll be interesting to see what the rest of the world does.

If they do, that will push other companies to comply too, to be able to do business with those that do comply.

Definitely, but there is still a huge demand for KYC-free services. You can tell as much by the way Binance operates: They are willing to segregate their markets rather than go fully compliant. It's also basically a given that a host of countries won't be complying with the FATF travel rule, leaving the door open to non-compliant exchanges.

And that's where things get interesting. Are the Coinbases and Geminis and Bitpays of the world going to blacklist outputs from exchanges like Binance? Bitmex? Smaller altcoin and derivatives exchanges?

Binance is probably thinking about the future and keeping themselves ready for it. However, we all know as a matter of fact that FATF guidelines are taken very seriously worldwide. So I don't think it will be possible for any exchange to have two separate regulations guiding their operations. They will have only two choices in future, either they will comply with the local law which will be formed as per the recommendations given by FATF or they will go out of business or forcefully closed by the governing country.

Since cryptos have no border limitations, a global standard operating procedure has to be created and adopted by every country for crypto transactions. The entire matter is at a very nascent stage right now but slowly taking shape! There will be no space for Coinbase or any other exchange to follow different type of guidelines. All will have to comply with the global standard.
4523  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: September 08, 2019, 09:37:07 AM
Anyway crypto currency will be going to regulate in India very soon because of already top list country are regulated the crypto like Japan and more, and coming days some big companies like Facebook and telegram launching their own crypto coin, so I hope that Indian government and RBI will getting the crypto regulations in India very soon.

This matter was discussed in the court as well. If you have seen the arguments, there were a mention about how Japan and other developed countries have regulated bitcoin and cryptocurrecnies by implementing KYC and AML law in it. However, every country has different socio-economic scenario and their needs are different. If bitcoin is regulated then it is definitely a great news because we need fresh stimulus to the economy that is slowing down continuously! Adopting cryptos into the mainstream economy will bring more opportunities and create jobs for the tech-savy youths. I hope the government understands the positive impact first before passing out any further arbitrary decisions like RBI.
4524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Agony Of Bounty Hunters on: September 08, 2019, 08:40:38 AM
I do not do this every day, but last night I checked all my bounty hunting files from social media, signature and article marketing, I am very disappointed, only 5% of my bounty campaigns proved to be successful, what I mean successful is it's worth the profit after many months of the campaign.

One disappointing side of it is the projects that I thought are legit are the one that turns out to be scams and the project that I thought will not turn out to be good turns to be profitable.

Things are not good in bounty campaign at this point of time, what proves to be a source of excitement to bounty hunters is now the agony of bounty hunters

The ICO market is itself dead or on the verge of dying! Millions of investors were duped by these unknown start ups which actually paved the way for loosing credibility of ICOs. When investors are not getting profit, what bounty hunters can expect? I too also active in the bounty hunting earlier, but I have noticed that the profit is not worth the time I was spending on bounties so I have moved out of this market. I still have millions of tokens in the ETH wallet which has no value at all and not being traded in any exchanges.

There was a project called Coin Janitor which was initially gave me hope that I will be able to unlock the values of the dead coins but they also seem to be not helpful much!
4525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At wits end, need help! on: September 08, 2019, 08:34:47 AM
I am new to forums so I really don't know which board this type of post needs to go in so please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I have also only been involved with cryptocurrency for the last 10 months.

I have an account with Coinbase and until recently I have had no problems or issues with depositing or withdrawing USD to or from my bank account to or from my Coinbase USD wallet. But now I have been restricted for some reason and Coinbase will not tell me why so that I can fix the issue. Coinbase support will not help me so that's why I am turning to a forum to see if there is anything that I can do to buy bitcoin. I have also tried to do the same with other cryptocurrency companies but they also have restricted me from transferring money from my bank account to any wallet so, therefore, I cannot buy bitcoin. I also don't want to use P2P sites to buy bitcoin because I have had friends that have been robbed even from people with 100% ratings and high volume. I don't know where to go or what to do to buy bitcoin. Any suggestions anyone?

From what I am reading above, I can tell you that the problem is with your bank and not with any crypto company. When your bank is restricting you from transferring money to any crypto related company, it's clearly your bank. Answer the below questions so that we can help you in a better way,

1. Your country?
2. Are you able to transfer funds to your friend's checking account?
3. Have you tried contacting your bank's support team? What they have to say?
4. Apart from Coinbase, what other crypto companies you have tried to transfer funds?

If you are transferring a very high volume, it is possible that your activities have been reported to the AML committee of the bank and they have restricted your access. Or if USD is not your native currency, then you will have a transaction limit under your local foreign exchange law.

4526  Economy / Economics / Re: A Cryptocurrency-related Business (Pitch) on: September 08, 2019, 07:30:07 AM
Business Name: Ompahlos
A futuristic store that is a step ahead of the rest...

Concept: A warehouse location with a few Bitcoin ATM's, and dozens of desk-like booths with computer desktops with online games that are connected to crypto-currency.  Smoking is permitted at the desks.  Energy drinks and vape products can also be purchased and consumed at the game desks.  The game desks will be rented by the hour by paying with Bitcoin but the clients will be given cards that they can use to essentially run tabs as they hang out and buy stuff.  The tab is so they do not have to worry about paying until they want to leave.  Services will be made somewhat affordable for younger people but it is also a place they know they will blow all their money but enjoy doing it.

Other services: We also sell crypto-currency products like cold storage wallets, and funny t-shirts and stickers about Bitcoin.  We will include other cool futuristic products that will appeal to our gamer client base, like electronic scooters, electric skateboards, drones, and other products that are the newest, the latest, the greatest.  Cutting edge services like the best pre-releases on new games and counsels, so we will work closely as business-to-business insiders for gaining access to pre-releases and sneak peaks. Oh and definitely we can cater to the Artificial Intelligence and augmented reality scene (!!!).  We will always be a step ahead the rest, with the latest and greatest robotics technologies for consumers that will keep people coming back to the store and keep people inside the store hanging out and spending money, participating in gaming events, taking classes, and networking with people, connecting to people and the technology, making friends.

Decor: It will be open late: hours are 12 noon until 4AM in the morning.  It will be located in a cool yet gritty USA city like in Brooklyn, New York or Oakland, California.  It will be decorated cool like with graffiti inside the building similar to graffiti at skate parks, so that it will not be a totally sterile environment but more of a creative space for making people feel more comfortable. At the same time, there will be heavy cleaning services performed outside the hours of operation.

Business Basics: Our primary language for business is English.  All laws will be followed to the very best of our ability.  Ethics are very important.  It will be a fully legitimate company that follows all of the laws including tax payments.  The business has an impeccable reputation for playing by all the rules.  This is a completely debt-free business.  No loans will be taken, unless a generous outside party agrees to service the loans for free, or if they flat out gifts the business some Bitcoin or cash.

It's clearly an internet cafe business with some additions like Bitcoin ATMs and a vape shop! Definitely it is an attractive way to spend bitcoins for those who want to do so! However, the scope of this business is very limited. Why don't you add some more thing to it to make it more attractive? Let me give you some ideas,

1. A bar -  a separate area for a full fledged bar can be designated or you can serve alcohol at the game counter.
2. An all-inclusive store like Walmart - An all inclusive store with a twist. People don't have to go for shopping physically. They can order items from their game zones and the bag will be ready at the check out point. The customer can then simply pay with their bitcoin while going back.
3. A food court - A collection of all food brands under one roof. But customers will have to pay through bitcoins. They can buy food coupons using bitcoins and spend them at the food court. The food court can later settle for cash with the warehouse management.

These additions will make the business plan more attractive. Everything under one roof and payment through cryptos!

4527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin is ‘Very Confident’ About Ethereum 2.0 Launching Phase on: September 05, 2019, 06:28:35 PM
He has to be confident, he is the founder after all  Cheesy

It's what many Ethereum supporters and even doubters are waiting for so I will not be surprised if the new network will spark new interest and increase its value in the process. If ethereum 2.0 can really run tens of thousands of transactions per second, I see more start ups using their blockchain.

Vitalik is making ETH future ready! He foresees increasing adoption of cryptocurrency in near future and he believes that a major portion of these new adoptions will use ETH chain and smart contract capability to launch their business, so is doing the needful well in advance.

However, my personal opinion is that moving to POS consensus will ruin the value of ETH. Even though I don't know what's exactly is going to happen and I want my opinion to fail because I am also an investor of ETH, but making it easier for the mass to earn ETH will make it less exclusive and thus ruins its value! But it's my personal opinion only and  time will show us the reality!
4528  Economy / Gambling / Re: 2D Bitcoin Battle Royale. Play to win Bitcoin - BitShowdown.io on: September 05, 2019, 05:32:09 PM
Your website says,

Quote
For every player you kill you will earn 1 Satoshi.

If you finish the game in rank 1-5 you will earn a bonus prize up to 100 Satoshis

Are you serious?? I understand that you are not charging any entry fee and earning only from advertisements. But having a little entry fee and sharing it among the winners will make the winnings more attractive and possibly attract more players!
4529  Local / India / Re: New Committee Report favouring Digital Currencies and tokens on: September 05, 2019, 04:42:19 PM
It's a 150 pages report and mostly talks about fintech and blockchain technology but not about cryptocurrencies as such. I personally couldn't find anything favorable for cryptos in the report through keyword search. But if you can highlight the page numbers talking about cryptos, we would love that!

The reporting committee is headed by Subhas Chandra Garg who was also heading the IMC report that proposes 10 years jail term. I doubt he has changed his outlook about cryptos that fast!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit:
Page 21:
1.2.3 Digital currencies and tokens -
Here it talks about cryptocurrencies and tokens. However, I didn't find anything favorable as such! It's written for information without talking either positive and negative about it! While the entire report favors fintech and blockchain itself, there's nothing favorable for cryptocurrency in particular. My reading is still on!
4530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you identify a transparent project team? on: September 05, 2019, 04:58:49 AM
There is no proper way to identify a transparent project team. Because if a group of scammers use homeless people to disguise their own identity, there's no way we can identify their scam attempt. Using photos of models and actors may have a sideline chance that at least some people would identify them, but that's not the case for homeless people! So there's no correct process to identify such scammers!

You can't believe the advisors as well. Because in most cases, these advisors are paid hefty money by the project team just to feature their name in the team. In majority of the cases, the advisors themselves don't know much about the project! That's one of the many reasons why ICOs have lost their credibility very quickly and IEOs emerged!
4531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience in Arbitrage trading? on: September 05, 2019, 04:29:17 AM
I recently found out about this form of trading, but never tried it. Can anyone with experience give me some hints? I mean is this algorithm they use successful? And is it true about having big gains?

It is a profitable trading tactics. Arbitrage is a method which looks for price difference in different markets and take profit from that price difference. However, it is next to impossible to manually control the trades in different markets/exchanges unless you keep funds in both of them! So arbitrage usually requires a big balance to start with as you will have to keep your accounts funded to reap that price difference benefit. Also you will need a bot account which will be connected with all your different exchange accounts and you can control them from one place! Then it is will become profitable venture for you! There is no algorithms that comes to play!

4532  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do i need any kind of paperwork for a crash betting site like bustabit on: September 05, 2019, 04:16:52 AM
I was wondering if i need any kind of paperwork or licenses for a crash gambling website like bustabit

I believe you are referring to KYC when you mention paperwork. I don't know about other sites, but you won't need any kind of paperwork for Bustabit itself. If you can provide the name of any other website you may be referring to, we can check. But bustabit will never ask you to submit KYC documents. I am a member since 2016 and they have asked for KYC!

4533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i have to pay 100 euro extra to blockchain to get my transaction unstock?!?!?! on: September 05, 2019, 04:10:41 AM
Hi,

I am new with bitcoin.
Yesterday registered at blockchain and made a transaction. AS i do not have experience, looks like the fee is to low (0,06 euro)
The fee was automatically calculated by the site. So i expected all was correct.

Now the payment after 12 hours is still unconfirmed.

I contacted blockchain support and the say that after i deposit 100 euro extra they proceed with the transaction that is stuck.

Is this correct what they say?

Just want your opinion.

thank you

Most probably you have fallen prey to a phishing scam! If you have the transaction hash, go ahead and check the status using the below link,

https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/

See if it has indeed gone into the blockchain. If the transaction is showing in the blockchain, then you are good! In worst case, a bitcoin transaction may take upto 14 days to get confirmed! But that's super super rare!
4534  Local / India / What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: September 04, 2019, 06:23:22 PM
As we all know that Crypto Vs RBI hearing is ongoing in Supreme court. After a long time the case taken up by the Supreme Court and hearing is going on actively.

Crypto Kanoon is providing updates on every hearing directly from the courtroom when the arguments are happening. So far we have had 4 hearings after the case came back from coffin and we have detailed documentation of hearing available for us to read.

Current status: Supreme Court has ordered RBI to reply to IAMAI/Association of exchanges to their request of re-considering the banking ban. Last hearing happened on 28 August, 2019.

A consolidated list of all arguments are available in CoinDCX website as they were sponsoring the entire team of Crypto Kanoon to provide the updates to the mass. See the link below,

https://blog.coindcx.com/crypto-vs-rbi/

If you have time, I would request you all to go through the arguments starting from 8th August 2019 as many great points were discussed during the arguments. Post reading that, let us know what do you think about the outcome of the case? Do you think the case is going to be favorable for cryptos in India and pave way to new opportunities or will India continue to keep their orthodox stance against cryptos?
4535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 04, 2019, 04:23:36 PM
Ever since I've got into cryptocurrency, I've had several experiences on the  prices on some of my holdings achieved ATH's in a matter of months alone especially on the 2017 bull market and was thankful I didn't sold out early when I got them. Having had a positive feeling about it, I became reluctant to sell some of these cryptos even at the height of its price thinking that I may gain more from them in the future and also believing that this projects have very good fundamentals and does have a room for growth!

Then at the beginning on the 1st quarter of 2018 (which started the period for bearish market), crypto prices nosedived sharply and in a matter of weeks my portfolio begun to shrunk and was reduced significantly but then again I was overpowered by my belief that crypto will have an eventual rebound in which I was wrong! Over a period of short time, I was forced to sell those cryptocurrencies at a significantly lower price and accepted my loss which led me to believe that hodling is indeed a form of gambling and thus has a risk / reward factors associated with it.

Until now, I don't have any regrets but only have lessons learned from this experiences and will remain having a positive outlook on cryptosphere because I know gambling will let us "win some and also lose some".  Smiley

I know some of you had already been on the same kind of experience just like me. Smiley

I won't consider crypto as a gambling in any form or shape! If I have to go by your saying, then I will have to consider every market-linked investment as gambling as well! Crypto is essentially a currency system but due to less adoption and confusing legal status in many countries, people consider it as an investment! Yes, it is true that the crypto investment is more riskier than many other conventional investment, but it is not gambling in any sense! You are not entirely betting against your luck! Considering crypto as gambling is a very wrong way of looking at it!
4536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Back From The Dead? on: September 04, 2019, 03:58:22 PM
For Ethereum to reach $ 500, you need some kind of driver for growth. Of the biggest drivers, this is a switch to a new consensus.

It will be a death of ETH, if they move to POS consensus from POW! It will certainly increase the demand of ETH in the market at the beginning as many people will try to acquire more and more ETH for future profit. But when the initial gold rush is saturated, it will go down to drain as soon as people will start earning free ETH for doing nothing! ETH moved up in the ladder because of it utility called smart contract capability. People started their own tokens and businesses around the ETH blockchain and released their own coins to the market. This is the only reason why ETH moved up at the first place! Now when the ICO market is on the verge of death, ETH needs fresh stimulus. But moving to POS will be the first nail on the coffin of ETH!
4537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: project products cannot function properly! on: September 04, 2019, 03:49:22 PM
In achieving the success of a project certainly influenced by several factors including organizational governance, project managers, project teams, project roadmaps, project partners and also what products they want to offer in the market.
especially the experience of the developer and the team because this is the core of the project. which will determine that the project can achieve success in the market if the project can be managed by an experienced team and developer. The experienced team is very influential on the success of the project, those who have long managed the project and have valid experience in the past certainly have a good background.
In addition partners are also very important because the larger the project partners, the more investors will join them.
but the problem is the products they offer on the market can't operate properly.

in this case I am more confident with the experience / performance of the developer team and the project, I doubt about the product! the fact is that projects that have quality products do not guarantee that they can work well in the market.

We have millions of project managers and developers and the success of a project certainly doesn't depend on them. That can give them some initial hype during their funding stage but nothing else! I personally have invested in few ICOs at the beginning of 2017 when the market was booming. But in reality, 70% of them never came out with a product. 30% of them came out with a really armature product which eventually went down to drain with thousands of negative reviews from disappointed users and angry investors.

I can give you a nice example of PryvateCoin. This ICO had an actual working product even before it came out for funding and the product was really amazing, a killer of whatsapp! However, the ICO could not take off and eventually the developers lost their interest on the product. It's still available in playstore, but not functioning anymore! Product quality is not the only thing, they also lack marketing skills!

4538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt: 99% of Altcoins Will Be Forgotten in Five Years on: September 04, 2019, 02:22:16 PM
Mr. Peter Brandt has probably missed to mention the decimal points. It should be 99.9999% of the altcoin will be forgotten in coming years. Why? Because of no utility and investment is no utility!

Would you use one crypto to buy bus tickets and another crypto to book movie tickets and even another crypto to recharge your mobile phone?? I am sure no one would do that!

There should be only 3-5 cryptos available in the market which are usefull and rest all are garbage! Shitcoin is what we prefer to say!
4539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US-China Trade War Makes Bitcoin More Attractive to Investors on: September 04, 2019, 12:55:26 PM
Is the escalating trade war between China and the USA advantageous to the cryptocurrency sector?

"Data from global multi-asset investment platform eToro shows retail investors are opening more gold and bitcoin positions on news announcements of an escalating US/China trade war. Investors typically pile into gold as a natural hedge against macro economic unrest and data shows a correlation between the number of gold and bitcoin positions on its platform. This could suggest more retail investors are starting to view bitcoin as a store of value." - The London Economic

No! E-toro doesn't deal with physical bitcoins. Rather it is more like an exchange traded fund but without physical settlement of goods. So no matter how many people trade bitcoins in e-toro, it won't have any impact on bitcoin neither new money will flow into the crypto market. So it is not related to US Chaina trade war. But yes, it is true for gold to some extent!
4540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: September 04, 2019, 12:38:48 PM
In my life, complete devastation. A debt hole formed. The family is disappointed in me. Banks do not give loans and debts must be repaid immediately. The only person who stayed with me is my wife. I love her so much. I can’t cope with these problems and only my wife holds me in this world. Is it possible to receive a donation or a crypto loan without collateral online? And how is this best done?

The simple answer is NO! We are the maker of our own fortune! So try somewhere else like Gofundme or any other similar platform! Here no one gives a damn about a stranger's request for money!
