4521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 10, 2022, 08:32:24 AM
It appears everyone is very busy arguing about Kambosos versus Haney and Inoue versus Donaire hehehe. We forgot that this weekend Stephen Fulton will also be fighting Danny Roman. It might not appear to be an important fight, we know Fulton's victory is a certainty, however, every boxing fan should watch it because if Inoue wins, he might move up to super bantamweight and challenge Fulton for the WBC and WBO super bantamweight championships.

Yes, saw that scheduled fight but the odds though. Nevertheless, I don't think that Inoue will go up in weight. Too early for him, and knowing that he is under Bob Arum, I doubt that he will allow his cash cow to immediately jump on the next weight unless he is very sure that he can take Fulton out or any of the champion in that division. So let Fulton battered Roman this weekend, and his chance to win are high because obviously he is the favorite.

It does not look too early for the Monster Inoue to move up in weight division and challenge Fulton after what we witnessed versus Donaire yesterday. It also certainly appears that Inuoe has improved since their first fight and will improve more. He is also 29 years old already. That is not very young for the sport of boxing. It is the right time for him to find new challenges in his career.

He still has one Filipino on his hit list and that is Casimero, hehehe. This could be a good fight in paper as he is brandish and trash talk Inoue prior. But not sure if Top Rank is willing to give Casimero his fight since he no longer has any belt for now.

I move up to fight Fulton is not that bad at all, as you have said, timing is just about right. If Inoue wanted to be recognized as one of the best in this generation then he should look for new challenge and that is going up in weight. Pacquiao proved that already and he sets the bar high that no one can touch what he reach. But others can try to go as high and see their limits. Like in the case of Canelo 175 lbs might be too much for him. But for Inoue, we don't know how far can he go.

However, before Inoue can consider Casimero's challenge, I reckon Casimero should first win his WBO bantamweight championship back by challenging Paul Butler. Inoue might be now on a different stage in his career where his next fight will be to challenge the champions of the super bantamweight division or become the undisputed champion in bantamweight.

Also, with what Inoue has shown, I speculate he can knockout Casimero within 6.5 rounds. Inoue might become the pound for pound best boxer within 3 years.

Yeah, before I forgot, Casimero and Butler is under one promotional banner, Probellum. So maybe John Riel might be given the first option to crack Butler, after all they've schedule to fight but we all know what happens to Casimero in the last minute.

So in that scenario, Casimero vs Butler, winner gets Inoue for unification.

And I do agree, that Inoue is too good for this division and Casimero might not last 6 rounds against the Monster. But let's see what the future brings for Casimero first. He need to build his name again in the division.
4522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 10, 2022, 07:53:52 AM
I see Kobe on him and he really improve thru this season. Their duo together with brown really improve Celtics and their actions not to trade their young cores is really give them good result today and for sure they have huge chance to take this season out on GSW and the game 4 will be another exciting chapter to see. But also knowing Warriors they became more better team once they are defeated and it just Wiggins and Klay is not consistent today and Curry only make them alive this game maybe in next game they are in full revenge mode that's why we can provably see more exciting head to head match between Celtics.
You too?  Wink
He is not that far anymore, as I said in my previous posts, this kid just needs to stay confident with his game. Sometimes, he loses it and that's why the team is being dragged by it. Thankfully, many players on the Celtics team know how to step up their game and the leadership of Marcus Smart might have something to contribute to that.
Even though he had a bad Game 1 and 2 on the offensive side, he might get that MVP if the Celtics will be able to snatch this from the former champions. Because he didn't stop at just scoring, he did assists and rebounds to help.

I'm also saying that before, even Lebron mentions his name to be the next superstar. Remember when a rookie Tatum dunk on him and then along the way he bump Lebron, you can see his reaction after that. But it's all good now, we've seen how he evolved through the years. One thing I wanted him to see its to really become the leader of the Celtics, just like what Kobe when he was at his prime with LA without Shaq on his side.
4523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 10, 2022, 06:19:00 AM
Some nasty words coming from Ryan:

Quote
“After [Fortuna], I’m gonna go after Tank. I want to beat his ass.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-fortuna-im-gonna-go-tank-i-want-beat-his-ass--166843

He seems to be obsessed with Tank Davis, although he has been calling him even prior to the pandemic and then war of the words wherein we don't know who is telling the truth as far as stalling this fight. Let Ryan first win this fight with a knockout. If this is going to be a snoozer or a 12 round fight, a boring one, probably either Haney or Tank will just roast him in public and criticize his fight.
4524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 09, 2022, 11:59:01 PM
After the fall of the legendary and future Hall of Fame Nonito Donaire from the hands of a much younger Naoya Inoue, I can see GGG is next. Although GGG has better odds than Donaire, I still believe the latter has the better chances of winning due to his power and he did hurt Inoue during their first fight. Canelo Alvarez already took GGG's best shots for 24 rounds. Now GGG is old and slower, I really really doubt he can outbox nor hurt Canelo Alvarez. Canelo Alvarez will stop GGG this time. Watch out on boxers entering their mid 30's as their bodies will start to decline (Lomachenko and Crawford).

But we love these boxers who try to defy Father time, but slowly, not just in boxing, and sooner or later they will have to face the reality that they are past heir prime already and this might be the fight that we might see GGG and say that. Maybe it's the way they really take care of their body and the advancement of sports medicine and not taking shots and damages that we see this boxers still fighting at 40's.
4525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: June 09, 2022, 11:30:04 PM
He really carried that monicker, as the "Monster" because of his power behind those punches. And it's now being magnified after knocking out one of the legends in boxing. And then send signals to other bantamweights and even to the next weight class although that power will have to be check if he can carry it to the next level or not. I guess life imitating art here, we all know that there are Japanese anime about sports, i.e basketball boxing and others and maybe there will be future Japanese character similar to Inoue,  Grin

With Bob Arum as his promoter, expect Inoue to conquer the higher division just like what Manny Pacquiao did in his prime but of course with the help of Bob Arum. Maybe his fight with Butler if pushes through will be his last in the bantamweight division and then move to the 122 lbs limit and see what the future would give to this Japanese superstar.

Seldom we can see a Japanese boxer who dominates like Inoue so i think they will also pay tribute to what he did by imitating his life with an anime hehe.

I agree, with Bob Arum's experience, Inoue can be the next biggest star, although we can't compare him with Manny's enigma and charisma though. But Arum + Pacquiao at his prime? they put a the blue print, on how someone from Asia conquer the boxing world but carefully nitpicking their opponents. If we look at Inoue's pics in his latest fight, you can see that he has a broad shoulder and his lats is huge and it can still expand a bit. So definitely, once he is done with Butler, he will move up to 122 lbs. We have Fulton (WBC/WBO) and Murodjon Akhmadaliev (WBA/IBF) waiting for him. But we might see a unification fight between the 2 as they shared all the belts.
4526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 09, 2022, 10:42:59 PM
Let me just add you that the resurgence of online casinos might be due to the pandemic. Everyone is at home and those gamblers wanted to continue so they go online and play and that's why the sudden downturn as far as numbers of gamblers going to traditional land base casinos.

But as we go back to normal, casinos are going back live now, I'm going to land base casino's at the start of the year and the last time I check, the numbers seem to be back. It's just a matter of preference now, whether gamblers who play online will go back to their favorite land base casinos because of the ambience, or play at the comfort of their home.

4528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna 2.0 keeps falling on: June 09, 2022, 09:22:01 AM
As others have pointed out:

1. Luna no longer has the support and trust of the community
2. Those who received the tokens through bounties will likely sell it right away

So yeah they are doom to fail in the beginning, and it's going to be a big risk for investors for time on Luna 2.0. Lots of factors to consider and mostly they are very negative sentiments on them. For me better wait or just find other projects that has the potential to make money for you. Not a project that has a bad reputation due to it's collapse and bad management by the CEO himself.
4529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 09, 2022, 08:38:40 AM
The series is going to Boston now for next two games, that means Celtics have their home court advantage but they need to be very careful because they don't have any chance to make mistakes. They need to win both games to keep home court advantage. Now it's Tatum's turn, he can't play bad third game in a row. He needs to have some responsibility. Expecting a good defense from Celtics again.
Yeah, just 8 hours left and we will see game time again. I am excited.  Wink
I think the wall that is keeping Tatum from greatness is just experience. He needs more of it and I am glad they took Horford back because that guy has a lot of experience and could share it with him.
Then, confidence. He lacks it. Whenever Wiggins is in front of him, he soon finds a way to pass it to his teammates. He should try breaking Wiggins or put him in foul trouble if he can.
Despite of lacking out with that experience but still for Tatum overall performance or gameplay then its still really that impressive but sooner or later he would really be realizing on how to break those walls.
Tending to be that scared whenever he's been guarded too tough which there are times that he could handle it out but most of the time he would really be hesitate or in doubt on driving on the basket.
These are only small and inevitable kind of flaws yet each player would really be passing into these kind of situation but sooner or later time will come that he would really be able to overcome it.

Right, Tatum is really turning out to be the new star in the NBA with this kind of performance. It's the biggest and so far he is far from choking and has improved as far as passing to his open team mates. I don't know, but I'm not sure how confident the Warriors are entering Game 4. The pressure is on their side now and they have to find a way to motivate themselves and not let the Celtics take a huge lead because it's going to be hard  to overcome it in 3rd or 4th (although they are capable).
4530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minor Protection From Gambling on: June 09, 2022, 08:11:17 AM
Online? nah I doubt that it will prevent minors from using any gambling platform. I'm not saying that it can't be prevented, but it's hard as this is online that we are talking about.

KYC might be a good tool, but still if they used their parents account then those minors are going to continue to play. And I do agree that casino should have the responsibility to try and filter out minors  but again it's going to be difficult. And who is going to stop when they are bringing money for them? It's a moral dilemma for online casinos.
4531  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 09, 2022, 01:07:13 AM

4532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 08, 2022, 11:21:27 PM
12 more hours guys. Putting my early bets now as there's not much to do yet.
Warriors ML.
Bet builder - Steph 3's Over 4.5 and Brown Over 2.5.
The other thing that we might have missed in all our discussions in Game 2 is the defensive energy brought by Gary Payton II. Played 25 minutes, didn't have a steal or a block but he was always in front of Jaylen Brown or whoever made the switch. He is questionable for Game 3 but I doubt he want to miss such an important game.

I might tail you on the Warriors ML here.  Grin

Edit: I opt for 3.5 Warriors at 1.90.

True, we might have missed Payton's contribution, not just he scored and hit a corner 3 in the first quarter, but just the presence of him in the floor for defensive purposed might have affected the Celtics mentality. He will probably play in limited minutes again, inserted in the first quarter to bring their defense to another level specially against Jaylen Brown or any on the Celtics that will switch and thinks that they have advantage of him. Similar to what Oladipo brings with the Heat when he faces Brown, he made him commit a lot of turnovers and steals.
4533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: June 08, 2022, 10:53:07 PM
Well, we can say it is going sideways currently but we don't know until when. We can only wait until the price bounces back.
If you see the weekly chart we can observe that the price has been falling every week until today.
So may be will have to wait few more weeks to see if it's really a sideways trend or not.
For now, i think the best thing to do is to observe the market if its going downward trend or the other way around. IMHO, its far seeing a bullish market this early, maybe we can witness that at the last quarter of this year. So i think the market will continue to be bearish and that bitcoin and altcoins will probably experience more bearish movements. So it's best to wait how far this market will go. Only then we can decide what to do.

I don't think though that we will have the break out run that we wanted, maybe just a couple of thousands of dollars here and there, but not the one that we wanted to see. I even think that this month, it's going to even break $32k. we are indeed in the bearish trend and there is no amount of positive news that will push the market to get into at least a higher highs for this year. Let's just say we should expect this whole year as a bearish trend and not expect a sudden change to bullish market.
4534  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it worth buying a crypto with a value of 0.23? on: June 08, 2022, 07:50:22 AM
I don't know what kind of crypto the OP is talking, but high appreciation? doesn't make sense as we all know how volatile crypto currencies is. Of course, it could appreciate long term, but still it's hard to identify how will it go in the future.

I would speculate that this is some kind of altcoin, that's either has been marketed already and promoted as if it is the next ETH or BTC killer. So the hype is there and maybe that's what pique the user to ask it here. Nevertheless, based on what he says, it's advisable not to buy the hype.
4535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 08, 2022, 07:21:25 AM
Warriors didn't make any surprise to me by winning the second game but that winning gap was really huge by the way. I didn't like that much of a gap as a Celtics fan. I'm going to be expecting a much bigger defensive performance by Celtics in the third game. I think it can be a very competitive game this time and Celtics can win by a small margin against their opponent. This would be a nice advantage for Celtics and maybe even they could make it 3-1 after too. Celtics can be a really unpredictable team in the end.

It's worth noting that almost all of the Celtics' role players had a pretty poor field-goal percentage in Game 2, except Tatum. So if the Celtics really want to win Game 3, they should be a lot better both on offense and defense. To be honest, I hope the fans will create a great atmosphere at TD Garden because it might be a great advantage for the Celtics in the upcoming game.
That's for sure. The fans will be on their side even at how much fun to watch Steph drain some deep threes. We have seen the Knicks fans cheering for him but I don't think Boston will do the same, especially in a Finals game.
The offense is what I want to see change. When the Warriors adjusted after a loss at their home the margin of offense from the Celtics became way low. Brown from 24 points to 17, Smart from 18 to 2, and Horford from 26 to 2. That's unacceptable if you are a coach, every game is crucial and stats should not be far that different from their first game even if they lose game 2.
Who will be their next option if every Celtics player can be shut down by the Warriors?

That's what Golden State defense is underrated, we always talk about their supposedly offensive firepower. But we seldom talk about their defensive prowess as well. Steph has improved a lot this year, his body is built to play inside now, get rebounds and play solid defense. Remember how he stole the ball from Ja Morant? And then we also have Klay Thompson who is also a good defender, and then Wiggins developed into one, Draymond is Draymond, and Looney not to block but to change the shot when someone is penetrating. Of course, Gary Payton's hand is quick, Otto Porter is another one (although he is injured). Poole as well can guard and so is Lee and Kuminga and Bjelica and Moody. So it's a complete line up.

4537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 08, 2022, 06:12:52 AM
That being said, I believe that Mark Magsayo can do that job as he's hardworking, he's really determined and he doesn't talk a lot as he wants to put more action than talking. If he's consistent enough then time will come that he can put his name on this division as a King. Nevertheless, Vargas is first on his list being a defending champion in this weight class.
Magsayo should do his best to defend the belt, this is the first time he will defend the belt and of course we don’t want to see him giving up easily. Vargas is not an easy opponent, they are both good boxer so only those who are more focused and have a good strategy will win. Magsayo is still on a good position here, in just a month they will face each other and i hope Magsayo is more prepared for this.

I think Mark Magsayo can defend his belt successfully, Vargas may be hard to get past but I'm sure he can. Magsayo is indeed lucky to have Vargas as his first opponent as the latter can give him a challenge and perhaps some more experience too because Vargas has been in plenty of battles already. Also, I'm not worried about the Philippine pride because I know how dedicated he is. Anyway, I'm already excited to see the fight next month.

That's what we are expecting for Mark here, sure it's a big uphill to climb because as others said, Vargas has the physical advantage. But don't underestimate Filipino boxers, Mark is a champion and he knows what it takes to be one. So he will give his everything here and make the Filipino proud again.

Just another month and we will see, the last time I saw pictures of Mark, he looks very sharp so I will assume that he s in the middle of training and his team are pushing him to the limits because they know that this is a tough fight.

Magsayo and his team surely knows the capabilities and advantages of Vargas, I bet they already know the latter's tactics as he have more bouts than Magsayo. The team with coach Freddie Roach will help Magsayo achieve his much wanted success and will indeed push him into his limits because that's the only way to ensure the fight.

Vargas is also trained by one of the best in boxing, Nacho Beristain, the one that guided the career of great JMM who beat Roach then best boxer, Manny Pacquiao.

So I would say that there is still competition between the two as who is the best already both of them are already old but still very effective old school boxing trainer. So bragging rights is on the line for these two and so is their prize pupil. Maybe we can see Magsayo's improvement as he is about to get into the peak of his career and Vargas is not another hindrance of front of it that he can overcome.
4538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 08, 2022, 03:49:34 AM

The pressure should be on the Celtics side, they are at home but they are facing a good team in the Finals and they just lost big in game 2. And Warriors wants to take this one and bring back the favor on them, stealing a game in home court.
They didn't lose, they got blown out. The 3rd quarter was brutal for Boston getting outscored 35-14. The warriors showed no mercy. I'm hoping for game 3 to be the same way.

Hehehe, yeah you can call it a blow out, similar to what the Celtics did to them in game 1 as they smoke the Warriors with 3 point shot.

But I like the mentality of the Warriors to not show mercy with the Celtics in the 4th and didn't put their second stringers in the game until the game was out of reach from Boston. Because they know they are capable of coming back and just want to make sure. So yes, possible that the Warriors will have another blow out win in game 3.
4539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: June 07, 2022, 11:51:07 PM
For those who wanted to see the numbers in this fight and how lucrative it is and maybe this could be another reason to go for a rematch:

Quote
Nielsen Media Research revealed Tuesday that their 12-round main event attracted an average audience of 1,322,000 and a peak audience of 1,351,000. Haney, who won a unanimous decision, and Kambosos boxed on Sunday afternoon at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, but their bout aired live Saturday night in the United States.

https://www.boxingscene.com/haney-kambosos-averaged-1322000-viewers-peaked-1355000-on-espn--166810

So that's a clear 1 mil viewership, not sure how it will translate but this is big for these 2 fighters. So many has anticipated this fight, however, if the rematch is held, I don't think that they will get the same numbers. Because it might be another dominant display of Haney's techniques and bring George to a clinic with his jabs.
4540  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price suddenly dropped from $ 31K on: June 07, 2022, 10:28:33 PM
You just spoke too soon, the price has rebounded from that news, if that is really cause of the sudden flash crash. As for Binance, the investigations focus on how their platform are being used to launder money, be it criminals. So not sure if Binance knows that fact that the money came from those criminals or not. So the initial reports says they 'aided' them, but we will see since they are going to cooperate as per their official spokesman. We haven't heard anything from CZ yet, but for sure he will released his official statement about this issue.

On the contrary, traditional banks has been doing this for years,  Global banks defy U.S. crackdowns by serving oligarchs, criminals and terrorists.
