I think that Ethereum looks under-priced and is a great buy right now. Yes it has fallen a lot, but there is strong support below the current price. Long term potential is very strong, I would advise to hold, or buy more for DCA purposes if you bought in above the current point.

The best major coin to buy today (09 Nov 2018) is probably ETH. It looks very under-priced vs the rest of the big coins. It is still the best altcoin out there and still has huge potential, it's just not quite reflected in price at the moment.

Yes some ICOs are for pointless projects, but there is a lot of genuine useful stuff out there as well. A big factor is that crypto has been in a bearish trend all year. Raising money at ICO even for a good project is a lot harder now than it was in say summer 2017 - back then it seemed that any project at all could raise millions, and ICOs could hit hardcap in a matter of minutes. Everything is a lot less feverish now. It is harder for good projects to get off the ground.

A lot of people are extremely bullish about XRP in the long-term. And as it is one of the top coins in market cap, it can exert a pull on the whole market. We saw this yesterday when XRP briefly passed ETH in cap and then ETH price went up in response. So if we do see another XRP surge I expect other coins to move up as well. Perhaps XRP could be the coin to trigger the next whole market bull run.

Yes we have seen huge drops this year, but every dip has bottomed out at around the same point. Each successive recovery has been weaker, and we have now had quite a long period of stability. What we expect next is upwards price movements to test some higher resistance points. It is of course unpredictable and we are all guessing, but in retrospect the behaviour so far this year makes perfect sense.

Im interested in buying neo but over a year i see neo has seen most bearish market and has lost lot of price.
But on other side it looks like neo has lot of developers and projects coming onboard one of them i like is nex, which is why im thinking of buying neo
I only have 0.05 btc with me what do you think will be right investment at this time. Is there any other project i can invest in.
or should i just hold on to my btc.
I think it is a good time to buy NEO if you are using fiat currency, because its dollar price is low. However if you are using BTC, I'm less sure. We are all expecting a market recovery, and often it is BTC that leads the way - if this were to happen then NEO would decrease in value against BTC even as it increased in dollar price.

Some anticipate that the bull is in effect, but the market still might go lower and see a further decline. Is it ok to buy at extreme values and worth taking risk?
ETH is a very strong project, and I think that current prices are a bargain. I'm confident that when the recovery starts, ETH will be one of the coins that will lead the way. XRP is surging today, and we are already seeing ETH start to respond. Also I would say there are strong signs that we have stabilised across the market now, and that the drops of the last year have finally bottomed out.

Will Ripple XRP be the number one cryptocurrency before the end of the year?
I think there is a reasonable chance that it will become number one in market cap, but I think there is no chance before the end of the year. Give it five years, and maybe it will be number one... but ETH and BTC and other good projects won't stand still either. Very difficult to predict which will lead the way, and BTC does have a huge lead at the moment... but I think what is most likely is that all three will have much higher cap in a few years'# time than they do now.

Now is a great time to buy ETH. One reason is that it looks under-priced relative to other coins, so it's a good chance to swap some other coins for more ETH. Second reason is that we are starting to see signs of market recovery. ETH is one of the strongest projects, and I expect to see it leading the way. XRP is surging today, if this supplants ETH for number two spot in market cap, then I think ETH is likely to respond with a rise.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
January seems so long ago now... and it seems that stablecoins have ruled in 2018 as the rest of the market fell. There are growing signs that we have hit stability now, and many of use are expecting rises in the fairly near future.
With each passing week of price stability, the pressure towards a new bull run grows. Nothing in crypto is certain, but it seems there is a lot of support against further drops and that the market may finally have bottomed out.
The first thing to consider should be: did the ICO reach the hard cap? If it didn't, then supply outstrips demand - there are tokens left over at ICO price with no-one willing to buy. This means that the highest buy order when it hits exchanges is very likely to be below ICO price.

The biggest indicator for me is if the project doesn't seem to meet any real-world need. This is sometimes easy to spot if their website and documentation is just meaningless buzzword-soup.

I think the market is just about ready for the next bull run. We are seeing a lot of support around current prices. I'm trying to be logical but I know there is always an element of wishful thinking - still, it does look increasingly likely that we have hit a period of stability now and the next bull market will arrive fairly soon.

For me the main coins to hold long-term are those I think are the strongest, so mainly bitcoin and ETH. I think we have had the worst of the price drops for this year, and can look forwards to upwards movement in the nearish future. For any coin though, so long as you are confident in its long-term potential, then there is no reason to panic or to sell yet.
If you hold good coins, I don't think there's any reason to panic. Yes this year has seen big price drops, but viewed against a longer term the trend is still upwards. I expect crypto prices to recover some ground fairly soon. There is no reason to panic, and now is not a good time to sell when the markets seem to be stabilising at a low point.
If you bought in at $450 per ETH, then the current price of around $200 is a great opportunity to buy some more and lower your average purchase price. I don't think we're going to see any more severe drops for ETH below $200.

This few month , crypto market is unstable. going up and coming down.. so what is your move right now ? - keep it and trade or - buy while is cheap or - sell it ? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I intend to buy it but scared will drop again. confuse I made a terrible mistake, I bought a lot of ETH while it was 220 and now, when it drops every day, I regret my descision. It seems that market is getting only worse. I don't think that buying at 220 is a mistake. Yes, ETH has dipped a bit since then, but it is very likely to recover. Crypto is volatile, and there are always price movements. ETH is still one of the strongest projects out there, and I'm extremely confident that the price will recover. Just give it time. Don't panic sell.

The vast majority of the dip seems to have gone, any remaining dips should be minor - and there is strong evidence now of big support at current prices, so this should set us up for a bull run. We are all expecting it, but it has not started yet. I expect something to happen in the next few weeks, but I think people will remember last year and there should be some rises, but there will be resistance to huge rises.
