The bright side is that all these poorly managed incompetent exchanges get washed away. There really need to be a stronger regulation on exchanges, then i bet 80% of these exchanges wouldn't pass the test.
Exactly this, no regulation, no framework, no recourse. It's one of the reasons, I'm actually fine with the Bitlicense and AML/KYC rules being applied to exchanges and services of the like. Without regulation, you get the wild wild west, and bad operators just up and leave when they'd make their dime, and claim it was "hacked". I think it is so difficult to "regulate" a crypto currency exchange, because the government should first regulate bitcoin (as cryptocurrency) and this is impossible. Because it is decentralized and not compatible with this economy system. The unique rule I can give is : don't keep your coins on an exchange (in this case a sort of web wallet).

Well done FortuneJack, I've left you a positive feedback for your fairness & professionality.

WTF, this is very very bad. The 2015 hasn't begun in a good way, I've read that it gave an interest for keep bitcoin on the site. I hope now people will start (really) to not keep their own coins on an exchange, site, etc.... but instead in their own bitcoin wallet.

Hey, we should also to "determine" what does it mean the word "spam". I think also 5-6 words contribute to the thread, but everyone of us (it is normal) have their own definition of what is a "constructive post" and what is a "not-constructive/unsubstantial post" .
All we know that : +1 , thanks, bye, hey, etc... (one single word) aren't constructive or am I wrong?
Wrong! or put another way In my humble opinion you are wrong that one word posts do not contribute to the discussion at hand. Damn that was only 19 words. I meant one word post is not constructive for the various signature campaigns, and these type of posts will not be paid.

Now I challenge someone to use bter again (if it will re-open), or better " to keep your coins on an exchange" and that exchange doesn't use multiSig for his cold wallet.
It seems (not probable) that the exchange will not reopen, what do you think guys ?

This is another problem, all the users want to give a reply (but the reply was already given) only for bump their post count. This is a type of spam, and I think these type of posts should be paid.
I think you mean "shouldn't"? I agree, but it's not possible for Marco to go not only through every post, but through every thread the post was made in. Therefore such spammers will likely get paid anyway. The only sensible solution seems to be doing some random quality checks. If certain poster gets caught on duplicating replies he should get a warning, if that happens again, he's removed from campaign (or maybe 3 strikes policy?). Oh sorry, yes I meant "shouldn't be paid" sorry for the mistake. It will be impossible for the bot to check if a post is valid or not, it would be necessary a sort of artificial intelligence. In this case marcotheminer should check the "souspicious" user one by one.

Well, technically "+1" post can be constructive. I didn't notice that many one-worders from sig camp participants (since they all know they won't get paid for such). I think there's more problem with people not reading replies already made by others (or purposely ignoring them) and posting the same answers all over again. Example, a newbie starts a thread asking where he can buy bitcoins and suddenly there's gazillion of replies with the same answers, same links etc.At first glance, such post looks helpful and constructive, but looking at the entire thread, it's nothing but a spam. This is another problem, all the users want to give a reply (but the reply was already given) only for bump their post count. This is a type of spam, and I think these type of posts should be paid.

... Down the road I would like to see Bitcoin to be something that people support voluntarily, not expecting any rewards. If you're involved in a Bitcoin business you set up enough full nodes to give back to the network, you do it because you want to, not because there is money to be made there. Same goes for people who want to run a node in their garage to actually support the network.
Just my 2c.
All we know the money part is necessary in the bitcoin blockchain, but maybe you are right : people see only FIAT money, nothing else. I want to see what will happen after the next halving ( 25 BTC >> 12.5 BTC) will the miner stop , or will the price rise If the bitcoin revolution/experiment will fail, the blockchain will stay for sure.

... If a bank gets robbed I couldn't imagine they open the next day so you can take out the remainder of your money. (don't really know about this, so not claiming, just an assumption)
A bank is insured, a cryptoCurrency exchange is not insured. This is the real problem, so the solution is (as we always knew) not keep your money/coins on an exchange (maybe only if they are using multiSig and they are "honest"). If an exchange get robbed it should reimburse but it isn't "obligated" and of course it will lost a lot of customers.

ETF is so hyped right now like it's the only hope btc has to go up... if that doesn't work I don't even want to imagine what could happen.
Maybe the bitcoin will dead //sarcasm, However the another way could be the "halving", I think after the next block reward halving the price will go up (at least a little bit). I don't see another way to the "rise" of the bitcoin price, this time China can't help.

I want to give him the benefit of doubt, so I've changed the negative feedback in one neutral . Quickseller is free to continue his investigation , good luck.

Updates from Twitter: CNY and USD withdrawals will be enabled first in these days and the crypto-coins (NXT etc)will be handled later when we make sure it's safe. It appears that they are going to sell just Bter liabilities. Thanks I've added the screenshots of their two tweets. It seems they want "reimburse" all the losses, let's see how much time will it take.

Prove you are the real owner and I will remove the negative feedback, I don't want to "be arrogant" but I (or better we) need the proofs. Thanks for the attention, and sorry for the inconvenience.

They have said they will start arranging withdrawal after their holidays which are till 24th. So wait for a week at least before hoping for any funds.
That is plain irresponsinble from them. Seems like holidays are just buying of time. RIP Bter. They have updated their webpage, now if someone wants info should visit (first register) http://weibo.com/btercom and their twitter account (the last tweet is of 29 Jan) : https://twitter.com/btercom
