4541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔄🔄🔄🔄 ―――― ▲ MOIN ――― 2 Years On, Still Going Strong! ――― 🔄🔄🔄🔄 on: February 13, 2018, 10:30:18 PM
based on the above questions/answer from northa/vella85, I made some tests about the required size of moin balance for good staking results.
On 15th Jan 2018 23:42, I filled addresses with the following balances: 100/200/500/1000/2000/5000.

Now, after roughly 4 days and 12 hours, I have the balances below (The wallet was running nearly 24/7 in this period):
100 -> 100 = 0 staking rewards, 0%
200 -> 200 = 0 staking rewards, 0%
500 -> 503 = 2 staking rewards, +0.6%
1000 -> 1006 = 4 staking rewards, +0.6%
2000 -> 2009 = 6 staking rewards, +0.45%
5000 -> 5018 = 12 staking rewards, +0.36%

So I wouldn't try to stake coins with less than 500 MOIN balance on it.

In the long run, the percentage earnings from staking should align to each other.
I will continue to monitor the balances and report again here in a few weeks.
Staking Tests with various balances: 100/200/500/1000/2000/5000 - Update after one month

Time elapsed: 28 days / 4 Weeks    (snapshot taken at 13.2.18 01:06 GMT) (started on 15th Jan 2018 at 23:42)
The wallet was running almost 24/7 with only some minor downtime of a few hours. (Every address had the same downtime, as they run in the same wallet.)

100 -> 106         =   04 staking rewards   ->   6 %
200 -> 206         =   04 staking rewards   ->   3 %
500 -> 516.5      =   11 staking rewards   ->   3.30 %
1000 -> 1027.2   =   18 staking rewards  ->   2.72 %
2000 -> 2058.8    =   39 staking rewards   ->   2.92 %
5000 -> 5147.7    =   98 staking rewards   ->   2.95 %

as you can see, every address got some stake rewards, even those with only 100 and 200 moin in it.
so it's possible to stake with as little as 100 moin.

most of the addresses got almost the same interest of 3% during that month.

the 100moin-address with 6% doesn't mean that staking with smaller amount leads to better results. It just got lucky.
I will continue the experiment and report back. Hopefully we will see that all will approximate to the same percentage over time.

Nice work with keeping us updated on this little staking experiment as it does help newbies coming into MOIN, showing them what they can expect with the different amount of coins staking. It also shows how powerful compounding is when staking as we can earn a lot more then the 10% APR. It actually turns out to be a lot more then that if we just leave the coins compound for the year. Keep up the good work and I thought this posted deserved some merit so I gave you some!
4542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Las Vegas coin (VGS) *LIMXDEV COIN* ONLY 330,000 coins. 1000 coins for MN on: February 13, 2018, 10:24:04 PM
I think we won’t get listed on CoinMarketCap until we have more volume. My plan is to get it listed on all of the Naster known block explores after we update the Wallet to hire rewards for the nasty notes within an attractive ROI

Yeah true as I believe CMC want to see at least 10k USD volume consistently before they list coins. But I have seen on some occasions that they list coins without this much volume so I'm not sure exactly how their system works when it comes to listing coins. I hope you can find a dev soon to work on the new wallet, it seems the guy I tried to contact isn't online much so not sure if I'll get a reply from him anytime soon which is a shame.
4543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IC] ⚡ Ignition Coin ⚡ - 5M Over 50 Years, PoW/PoS/MN - Fair Distribution on: February 13, 2018, 10:20:23 PM
Staking is very nice and master node is dream Smiley But shared master node helps small user

Yes staking Ignition coin is very good right now with the fixed stake at 1.7 coins per stake, I believe this will change in the future as less coins are minted after the first year. Masternodes are also great to own however I couldn't afford to own one as the price skyrocket too fast for me to own one but I don't mind staking and earning 1.7 coins per stake. I agree the pools for masternodes and staking do help the smaller users with less then 100 coins but if people have over 100 coins then I think its best to stake on their own.
4544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Masternodes on: February 13, 2018, 10:16:12 PM
Price back at 2.4$.Recent  bottom was a good opportunity and those who brought cheers. DNR was resilient

Now it is trading at around $2.60 per coin. Against Bitcoin, the exchange rates have gone up by around 10% during the last 24 hours. My guess is that when the next major upward movement occurs with Bitcoin, DNR can go up by anywhere from 100% to 1,000%.

1000%. 😎all those brought.. 💪.   Keep mining .. keep accumulating..

Anything is possible with DNR as it is a solid long term project. For us long term holders that have been supporting the project since the start are going to be rewarded in the near future. We have been already but I can see DNR going a lot higher in the next 3 to 6 months from now as more people now are becoming aware of this great coin and buying it. The future looks very promising here!

I'm having a hard time trying to get this new wallet to sync with the network. I have tried everything so far and still its not syncing with the network. I deleted everything in the roaming app data except for my wallet.dat and restarted the wallet but still the chain doesn't want to move even though I have 8 active connections. I also tried repairwallet and restarted and still the chain is stuck for some reason. Has anyone else had this trouble with the new Bitrewards wallet?
4546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 13, 2018, 10:09:07 PM
The T20 match between New Zealand and England was an entertaining one to watch. New Zealand batted well scoring 196 runs off their 20 overs with Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson scoring well with the bat. England finally put in a good performance but wasn't good enough to win the game falling 12 runs short as there middle order fell apart. So now the T20 final will be New Zealand v Australia which should be an entertaining battle to watch.

A good coin in fact - I think so - that's only when the first time you run the wallet, it's awful long to wait for the synchronization of the wallet just over 900,000 blocks))

There is a faster way you can sync up your Elite wallet to the network. Just post in the new ANN thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2249640 and you'll see on the OP that their are ways to speed up the syncing process. This thread is now moved to the new link I have here.
4548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Passive Coin - Small Supply Coin With Backing Fund on: February 12, 2018, 10:51:14 PM
Thank you striker7334 2.0 and vella85 for good words, support and interest in our niche project.

Have requested listing at CryptoBridge in December ... but, they answered still do not support ERC20 tokens.
CryptoBridge is awesome exchange and I will send second request tomorrow.

Backing Fund is growing ... but I will also try to get some extra income by joining Masternodes staking pools and
will look for some minning "power" rent. It could be cool to get some extra income, in order to do regular PAS buy-backs.
Anyway, Passive Coin is small & niche ... but long-term project for years to come.

Rome was not build in few months. Smiley

That's great to hear!

I'm not too sure about staking pools though as its hard to trust in them even though they look good. You might be better off trying to stake or set up a masternode yourself then using these pools.

I was thinking that maybe in the future that PAS could pay people holding Passivecoin dividends? I think this will create a lot of interest in the token.
4549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔥 LUNYR 🔥 Decentralized World Knowledge Base on Ethereum / OPEN BETA 🚀 on: February 12, 2018, 10:43:08 PM
Over 900 articles live on the platform! Can we reach 1,000 today?

Congrats to everyone who's contributed so far!

Wow, this has exedeed all my expectations. I'm not even worried about the price being low. In time Lunyr will be recognised. Congrats to all early supporters, I'm sure we will all be rewarded. And of course congrats to the team. Great job

The price of the LUN token in January was already over $ 60. The number of tokens in the world is limited. There will be no new tokens. I think now is a good price to buy more tokens.

This is simply amazing as I never would of thought that the Lunyr platform would see so many articles in just a couple of weeks. It shows that there is a lot of support for LUN and I agree with foodstamps that now is a great time to buy while the price is lower then its previous ATH just a couple weeks ago.

Its almost a month since i started staking my Bitbean yet no reward have been receive.

I will be dumping my Bitbean now and switch to ECA.

Well it depends on how many beans you have sprouting? If you only had under 100k then that is to be expected and would take a long time to sprout. Now if you had over 500k sprouting then that is different as you should of sprouted some beans. Its your choice to leave but I think BeanCash is just getting started and will become a lot bigger this year.

If anyone knows of any BTC betting sites that are taking bets on the Winter Olympics please let me know as right now I'm just using Bet365 to make my bets on the games.
Welcome to nitrogen sports,you can wage in for winter Olympics and there are many options and have a good time, the problem with me is that i am not used to winter sport and i do not have a clue what is happening,since in most of the events ,the prospective winner does have odds around two and the rest of the opponents are having very high odds,looks attractive but i am sticking to the games i know.  Grin

Thank you!

I will check out Nitrogen Sports and place some bets on there with some BTC I have spare. I always forget to check this BTC betting site when looking for betting sites that take BTC lol I mainly used DirectBet before they closed down which was a shame as they always took bets on the Olympics.

I have placed another bet on Thursday's Men's ice hockey between Switzerland/Canada over 5.5 goals.

I have sent that guy I know on Twitter a tweet so hopefully he replies soon and lets me know if he is willing to develop a VGS wallet. I told him that he will be paid in VGS coins and that the current price is around $1, so now we just wait.

@Vegas

Have you heard any news from CMC listing VGS? its been a while now since you sent in the request to be listed on there. Hopefully its not too long now as this will give VGS the boost it needs for exposure.
4553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 12, 2018, 10:11:08 PM
Tomorrow matches:

South Africa vs India, 4th one day match. SA back to form in the last match we can expect some good fight in this match. I think India will win this match.

New Zealand vs England, 4th T20 match. both teams lost against AUS in this series. tomorrow who will win they will take 2nd place in the list. I think ENG may win.

Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe, 3rd ODI, unpredictable match. in the 1st game, Afghan won by 154 runs and the last match co-incidentally ZIM won by same 154 runs. I don't know who will win this game any guess?
SA v IND.  I am going with SA to win the match as they will play with full heart to win the match and keep the series alive.

NZ v ENG will be a entertaining one , Eng are in great form and hence I think they will win the match.
I wish SA wants to win this match then only last game will be entertaining. hoping they will win this game and keep the series alive. but beating Indian team is not easy they are in a superb form especially Indian batting squad.

Yea England is in good form but they lost 2 back to back matches in this series. I think NZ will win.

I'm not too sure that England are in great form as they have been thrashed by Australia on both occasions so there confidence is down so I think New Zealand will win this match later today. Yes England have played well in parts but overall they have had a poor performance in this T20 series so far. Australia are already in the final so it will be interesting to see which team they will face.

I really like this project, and i'm thinking to invest about 500 1000 $ in it. But it seems to have some issues regarding : Whitepaper, shit Website, No RoadMap, lack of news , No Telegram, No good Exchange, I don't know the team.

They have to do some marketing updates and this coin will grow, will moon !

The price is sooo good and the supply are low. I think this is one of the best investment to made.
But first they have to deal with that problems !

I have been in contact with a few people on Twitter that would also like to join the Rain community but have the same concerns as you. They want to see an active dev team and more developments which we have not seen at all, I think this is stopping a lot of people joining Rain. Just think if we did start to see some developments then Rain could really explode and even top its ATH but first we need to see the dev active. I hope he has found some people to help him with the project.
4555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grim Coin on: February 12, 2018, 09:58:08 PM
Not yet, we are still working out a few details.

Okay dev thank you for letting me know.

I'll just continue to stake and stack more Grim for when masternodes are implemented and hopefully by then I'll have enough Grim coins to own a masternode, if not then I'll just continue to stake until I work my way up to owning a masternode.
4556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 Winter Olympics on: February 11, 2018, 11:15:38 PM
I'd be careful when betting on the Olympics. A lot of these events is where anything can happen, and there's always controversy with the judges and such. Gambling with the winter Olympics is really high risk risk in my opinion. Stick to what you're good at!

Yes I agree with this as I have seen some athletes do well but score very low which makes me think that they could be rigged some of the times. This is why I prefer to bet on the ice hockey as its like betting on the football with the over/under goals and the lines which I like to bet on. I think the gold medal bets are good for the countries which people think will do well.

I have a couple of noob questions about the Masternode.

1) The coins used to open it are "lost"? Or I can get them back (and close the masternode) when I want? So that I can get the profits PLUS my deposit coins back or ONLy the profits?

2) Once the masternode is set up, where/how will I be bale to check the porfits?

Hi and welcome!

No your coins will not be lost when you set up a masternode and you can always stop your masternode and get back your coins except the fee of course which you spend to set up the masternode which is a small fee.

The coins will show up in your wallet once you earn a reward.

I hope this helps and good luck!
4558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HONEY] Honey 2.0 - Featuring PoS 3.0 - Sweet! on: February 11, 2018, 11:09:45 PM
how can we get honey traded on other exchanges

It will be hard to motivate exchanges to add honey since there isn't much trading activity right now. Even on coinexchange there is only $400 USD in honey/btc trading today. This probably adds up to maybe a few dollars in fees.

After we see dev's big announcement this might change.

Yeah that is the problem right now for Honey, the trading volume. However I think it will pick up once like you said we get the big announcement from the dev which I think we be in the next week or so. Then once the volume picks up we could try and get Honey listed on more exchanges. Its a shame that when Nova exchange comes back that they won't be having Honey listed on there any more as they have delisted Honey already, not sure why as they still have a lot of dead coins listed on there but they delist Honey, doesn't make sense to me. Maybe once everything is in place we could try and get Honey relisted on Nova once again.

What does this coin have going for it besides a low market cap? I know you are all saying that the developer will return and focus on honey but what's the general direction for this I ask myself. Even if the blockchain works solid, there has to happen a lot in order for this to go up in value significantly. Are there any big plans?

Well right now there is nothing really going for Honey. However like we have said, the dev is going to make an announcement very soon on where Honey is at and hopefully then we'll see what future plans he has for the coin but right now all we can do is wait and if you have some Honey start staking to earn the rewards which most of us are doing. Yes right now Honey is a gamble because no one knows whats going on but it could be a gamble that pays off big in the near future.
4559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Masternodes on: February 11, 2018, 11:06:31 PM
With the coming of MN, denarius will shoot to the Moon. Get in now while you can.

Well... lets hope so. I haven't sold any of the Denarius coins which I got from the signature campaign. Personally I believe that DNR is heavily under-priced right now... It has the potential to increase its market cap by many times.

One of a small handful of cryptos that's under the radar with so much potential. Masternodes being added is a pretty big deal.  Cool

I totally agree with you that DNR is under the radar and highly undervalued right now. However it does give us who are in DNR right now more time to pick up some coins before things really start to take off. Even at the current price its still a cheap coin to buy and hold for the long term. DNR can potentially be a top 100 coin sometime this year.

Federer has asked for a wildcard to participate in the Rotterdam tournament next week!
if he reaches the semifinal he will return to the first place in the atp ranking and he will be the "oldest" n.1 in history!

Is Roger Federer really gunning for the number 1 spot here? Or he must take care of his health first?

But I will be happy if he will reclaim that number 1 spot. Nadal already did, so I guess Roger should have his turns at the spot this year. If he marches to the quarter-finals, the possible opponent will be compatriot Stan Wawrinka. This will be another classic.

As for the Davis Cup, USA will have the upper hand against Belgium here. I will also go with Spain, Croatia and France.

I think that for Federer it is too big a chance that it can not be wasted. he only has to win 3 matches (of which the first 2 easy) to return first and only Wawrinka seems a difficult obstacle.

Probably is. Stan is the only obstacle between him and the #1. And yes, I have to agree that it will be a welcome news to see him back at the top of the tennis world.

I think he is trying something a little different then last year and join a few more tournaments. Last year we saw him pick the tournaments spread out to give his body enough time to recover for the Grand Slams but maybe he feels that his body is much better this year. I think it would be great to see him return to the number #1 spot because he does deserve it and make even more history by becoming the oldest number #1.

Yes, last year we witnessed him taking sabbatical and just enter few tournaments. Maybe this time his body is well adopted to the grind and feeling very good at the moment specially coming from a win. Yes. everyone wanted to see him reclaim the top spot even for a brief moment.

Well he did say that after his Australian Open win that his body feels better then ever so this is why we might see him play in many more tournaments. Another thing that I just though of and that is that he could be saying farewell to the fans and playing in as many tournaments this year as he can. Then if all goes well for Federer he can go on next year but only play in the Grand Slams.
