4541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So funny! Elon Musk brings Doge to the real moon. on: July 13, 2021, 01:59:54 AM
This is more than funny and I keep wondering why. There are series of great crypto projects with solid utilities like Julswap's JulD but they're still struggling to make a stable price and none of them has ever been attractive to Musk other than these shit coins with no use cases.
With the way Elon Musk endorses Dogecoin, it's basically obvious it's his favorite coin (in the eyes of the media at least), crypto users have different portfolio's and it's just about their interest, Elon is interested in Dogecoin, and we can all agree that Elon Musk is a pretty successful man, thus he can't keep endorsing Dogecoin if he doesn't see anything good in their ecosystem or for the long term.

But having said that, the thing is that other investors are getting it wrong investing in Doge only cause of Elon's interest in it, without intensive research, nor examining their long term sustainability; if you don't find Dogecoin to be a 'great project', then forget about Elon Musk and don't invest in it, DYOR, and pick coins that are in tandem with your interest.
Usually people just go along with what's hype at the time and don't analyze it further,
indeed at that time Dogecoin had risen and now it has actually decreased significantly,
I don't know what will happen in the future, I hope the price of Dogecoin can go up

It's similar to a TV commercial in which if the most famous celebrity is the one advertising it, people will buy it because of that celebrity, well what is the hype then people will jump in even if they don't need it in their life.In the case of Doge, it is not a bad thing if they bought the coin during Elon's hype. It is also a smart move to jump in and then sell it, rather than holding it because it was a bad move. Similarly to Bitcoin, when Tesla recognized it as a payment method, it was later removed by Elon Musk.
4542  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: July 12, 2021, 04:21:18 PM
Yes! I am doing signature campaigns as well as day trading to manage my expenses. Offline job conditions are not very good and majority of the business were severely hit by the COVID. I also write few article and proof read some when every I get free time.
I doubt it could finance even your weekly needs. The only thing that could ever give us best money online in my own opinion is either day trading or having free lancing. Signature campaigns nowadays are for sidelines only not for main source of income. Bounties are much worse. I just hope this will change in the near future.
It doesn't, it's just a side income but week by week, it can add up into decent pocket money. Signature campaign earnings have severely dropped, but I'm not beefing about it, it's almost a second nature to write a few posts per day. I've currently assigned a separate wallet just for that and I've gathered a small but reasonable amount of money.
Yeah its true. Just let the money stay in another wallet and let your income grow as BTC grows. As for me, were signature paying BTC isn't a thing anymore, bounties are my main source of sidelines. However its almost once in a blue moon to have and join a good paying bounty. Some worth 1$ after a month of work and some even dont pay you at all. I don't want to say names but some high ranking bounty managers doesn't even care about hunters anymore.

BTC campaign, which has a fixed rate and is paid weekly, is the best if you want a constant and sure income. The majority of this campaign is aimed at promoting their gambling website. But, 3 years ago, I believe you could make a lot of money in bounties, and that was before shitcoin came along. I recall that there were a lot of successful bounties, and whatever you choose, they are really good and after a week or a month, they are already listed on exchanges, where a dump usually occurs. Bounties are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and signature campaigns in Bitcoin are reliable, ensuring that you will receive the same amount of money each week.
4543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2021, 01:12:33 PM
I am an ordinary person and I am not afraid of bitcoin. Lol,has a job at a company, has a family, is passionate and likes creativity. I think some people are not knowledgeable enough to realize the real difference between bitcoin and the rest of the market. The evils of scams for altcoins have made their psychology lash out about the name bitcoin. Bitcoin is simply volatility for different uses. The biggest problem is the lack of knowledge.

Yes. Fear of bitcoin usually comes down to lack of education about it. Fortunately, everyday there are more and more people creating content to educate the world about bitcoin and crypto.

Yeah, I believe there's a lack of knowledge, but I've been engaging in bitcoin since 2016 and I have fear on it. I believe it is applicable to individuals because it involves money. For example, if I have some spare cash, I like to invest it in bitcoin regardless of whether I win or lose. However, if you enjoy taking risks, you could make a lot of money. For example, the price is very low, which I can afford, but I am afraid of losing it because that money is also intended for my family. It is intended to gain, not lose, so if you lose, it's gone, but if the price goes up, it'll be a lot. It is entirely up to the individuals to take a chance even if they are afraid of losing it.
4544  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 12, 2021, 11:51:54 AM
Poor people mentality is when they have money, they spend it on relaxation and luxury. Unlike middle class, they spend their money wisely. With poor people, they lack enough knowledge on handling their finances and where to put it. They also rely on other people and support from the government unlike middle class, they value their hard earned money. They adopt what they learned in school. They are eager to be wealthy and be comfortable in their lives.

That is not the case on all the occasions. But it is understandable. When someone works really hard to earn money, he will think twice before wasting it. When I was a student, my parents were providing me with financial support. Back then, I used to spend a lot of money on unnecessary things. But now, I have a full time job and I know how hard is it to earn money. Same is the case with the poor people. When they get freebies and handouts from the government, they are careless with those. But when they work hard and earn, they don't waste much of the earnings.

I couldn't agree more with the statement that Don't give cash assistance to poor people because it only adds to poverty in their brains, but provide them with livelihood assistance and ways to make money to support their lives.  Because between giving fish or fishing rods to poor fishermen will be very much different but there are many mistakes that occur in the government, they only focus on providing cash assistance to the community just to cover up the bad government behind the assistance such as corruption in their institutional.

I concur. As I saw on Facebook, he teaches the beggar how to code (how to create his first app) and then gives him a laptop so he may continue. As a result, he has already uploaded his first program on Google Play, and he now refers to himself as a developer. He claims that it will be approved by Google Adsense in a few months, and he will earn from it. Financial assistance from the government is only temporary unless you have a strong desire to start a small business so that you can earn additional money.
4545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 12, 2021, 06:44:34 AM
Most commonly that people hook and become gambler is that the bonuses and or a free test on a site, just like having a faucet or a free bet. Marketing strategies like this will always catch the interest of anyone that will join.

And next, it will be followed by the design and the kind of games that there is a chance of winning. For example, the Lottery sometimes would not exist because the chances of winning are very small.
Compensation is one thing but OP is asking for what elements does the game have that makes people hooked in that website. Design isn't that important, I mean yes the right colors and stuff do attract attention but I think it's more than just design, probably the entertainment value.
Most probably that will depend on how the game works and based on the standard of the gamer, if you appreciate that kind of game then you'll play but if not, even if it has a good graphic design then you'll still not play. It's hard to attract players, the team must do everything one big help is their promotions, if there's a good bonuses then chances are, players will come.

This is something I agree with. At first, we say that the graphics and design matter the most, but in the long run, the gamer will not be hooked to the game because it will be boring. Bonuses and freebies, such as free skins and free stuff, or some sort of lottery with it, are some of the main reasons why gamers are hooked in the game. However, the play to earn game is becoming increasingly popular, and people are drawn to it not because of the graphics or gameplay, but because you can earn money while playing it.
4546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: July 10, 2021, 11:59:20 PM
what do you think, have you tried?

I have no luck in a real lottery so I have never tried testing my luck on lotteries on an online platform. People that try their luck in an online lottery can only be their spare amount of money. I don't think there is someone that will spend a lot of money on the lottery despite the huge prize because it takes one in a million chance to win plus there is no enjoyment betting on those games. People that win in this game are very lucky and most often they are not even a gambler.
4547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 10, 2021, 04:39:14 AM
If not, what are little signs that unfold you are becoming a gambling addict?

If a gambler prioritizes the money he earns to gamble than his personal responsibilities then he could have a sign of gambling addiction. When they have money, their mind is always telling them to gamble because there is a chance they will win and can change their situation. This is also the reason why some people fall into addiction because of the desperate need for money that they see gambling as a way to do it. While there are some people whose financially stable that is not concerned with the money they lose in gambling, their goal is just to gamble because that is where they only get the satisfaction they can't find anywhere.
4548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will we display NFT Art in the future? on: July 08, 2021, 03:04:26 PM
There is an app I use called veve where you can purchase and view your NFT via augmented reality. You can buy some NFT there that are licensed by some big companies like DC comics. So something similar like this app will really be developed in the future. People can view these arts via augmented reality gear where they can see their collection in a room. Technology is advancing quickly throughout the year, it can even be more advanced than what we can think of.
4549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: July 08, 2021, 01:41:52 PM
Technical analysis helps you to analyze the probabilities if the market is going up or down and is not only applied to cryptocurrency trading. This is really useful and a must-learn skill if you want to be an expert in trading.  You will know when to buy or sell at the right timing if you are able to do technical analysis. Though this often becomes useless in crypto trading if some news spreads suddenly that can cause the market to pump or dump very fast unlike in stocks where there is also fundamental analysis that can help you.
4550  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 08, 2021, 12:32:29 PM
This doesn't apply to other people in different countries though especially for people like me who is from a third-world country which was taught no concept about financial health, everything I knew about finances are all self-taught and discussed with my peers. I think saving is difficult for me because the money from work is just enough to survive alone but not with a family, investing is much more difficult because no one taught us to invest in my country.

It is all about mindset, I am in a third-world country too and my salary is just enough to handle my responsibilities but I am still able to save some amount every end of the month even if it is really small. If your mindset is for the long term that you know that you can't just work forever, you will start to save for something to invest in the future. It's difficult to teach financial literacy in a third-world country because most often people here are not yet open-minded for other opportunities. They are still stuck with the tradition of you study, graduate, then work until your age of retirement.
4551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people who ban Bitcoin in some countries give up Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 10:34:44 AM
For example, in China, China prohibits the use of Bitcoin. If I were Chinese, I might be more anxious. Some ways can be found to avoid being caught by the Chinese government. I will consider putting it in a cold wallet. In this case, you can only choose to hold for a long time. After all, there is no exchange to trade,
So will anyone give up Bitcoin?

Isn't it ironic, every year they say that they don't like bitcoin and will ban them but that didn't still happen and they still have the largest number of miners. Everyone even Chinese citizens are aware of bitcoin's potential in the future so I'm sure they won't just give it up easily. Bitcoin is untraceable so the Chinese government can't just accuse someone of holding bitcoin. And online exchanges are not the only way to trade it, people can do otc trading without having to use those centralized exchanges.
4552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much did you earn from airdrop? on: July 08, 2021, 07:59:17 AM
How much did you earn from airdrops of UNI, 1INCH, LON, etc?

My friends were able to earn huge amount of money from these airdrops especially UNI. While I regret not joining on these because I don't really believe in these airdrops and thinks that it is just a waste of time. Earning from airdrops is not easy because it's hard to find an airdrop that will really pay you. There are tons of airdrop on crypto but only a few are real which makes it like winning a lottery if you are able to receive huge amount from those airdrops.

It's not bad joining these airdrops as long as you have time to do their tasks and they don't ask for money yet. No one knows, maybe someday it will bring you some good amount of return.
4553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrency is best for long term investment? on: July 08, 2021, 06:21:58 AM
My top picks aside from bitcoin are ETH, BNB, SOL, MATIC, ENJ, and XMR because they have many future plans in their projects.

It is good that most of us pick the top cryptos in coinmarketcap as long-term investment, unlike newbies that I see on social media platforms that they worship shitcoins and see it as a good investment. They will put a lot of money for every shitcoin that will become a trend riding the hype thinking that it would really make them rich. They didn't research properly what they've been investing into, only early buyers benefit from these shitcoins and once it pumped a lot they will just dump it leaving new investors at loss.
4554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why can a piece of news from the Chinese government affect the price of Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 05:34:59 AM
I don't also get why this news from China can cause bitcoin's price to go down. It's like when they release news about bitcoin, media and people around the world panic to sold their bitcoin. They have been like that for many years now, bad news always comes from them yet they have the majority of bitcoin miners. If a country hates bitcoin, then what's the reason for those miners operating for many years now. Why people around the world are afraid that they always bring that big impact on the crypto market.
4555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 08, 2021, 04:21:19 AM
It is the satisfaction that people get when playing a particular game. Just like being a gamer that plays video games often, gamblers keep going back to casino or gambling website because that is the only place they satisfy them. They know that they lose money from gambling but can't stop it because of the pleasure they get. You feel like you can do it all day without getting bored. You have a goal that you want to achieve that you won't stop playing until you get it.
4556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for bitcoin traders !!! on: July 07, 2021, 01:11:05 PM
What will you do so as not to burden your mind with bitcoin price fluctuation? We all know that currently the price of bitcoin has fallen by as much as 47% from ATH.

Some traders say this and I can say it is true, "don't trade with your emotion involved" in other words learn to trade without emotion. Newbie traders will really be stressed with the price fluctuations of bitcoin and other cryptos but as time goes and they get used to it, it will just be a normal day in the crypto market. Also never invest your money that should be put into other responsibilities, some newbie traders tend to borrow money from someone or get a loan thinking that they would earn easy profit.
4557  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is cryptocurrency bullish in the long-term on: July 07, 2021, 11:21:33 AM
Because cryptocurrencies will make a huge impact on our technology. Each cryptos now has their own use-case that they want to solve that is related to technology. Some crypto's main purpose is focused on sports, there is messaging, gaming tokens, and more. If more industries adopt crypto on their platform or business then we definitely have a good future investing on them. Mass adoption is slowly happening so there is a lot more to see with these cryptocurrencies in the future.
4558  Economy / Economics / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you decide to invest in for the long-term? on: July 07, 2021, 10:29:41 AM
Which cryptocurrency is more valuable and has appreciation potential?

Check coinmarketcap and pick among the top 15, those are good picks for me especially eth and bnb aside from bitcoin ofcourse. The top 15 aside from doge and stablecoins like BUSD, USDT, and USDC have solid projects and usecases. Their development is continues and the devs are transparent about their progress and future plans. It is a good time to buy them now as the market is in a consolidating state, those coins already pumped a lot from the previous rally so earning profit from them would be easy once the market goes up again.
4559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to Bitcoin in 100 years? on: July 07, 2021, 08:51:29 AM
For me, bitcoin could still be existing at that time. We know that there is only 21 million supply of bitcoin and halving occurs every 4 years which makes mining of bitcoin more difficult. 100 years from now is 2121, and from what I've searched on google the last bitcoin will be mined on 2140. So I don't think bitcoin will stop existing before that happens, bitcoin and blockchain technology will only evolve as the technology improves. Bitcoin won't just disappear, it can only be replaced if someone invents something better than that.
4560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 06, 2021, 04:49:21 AM
This board has become more of a sports thread than a gambling thread. If you notice, most topics are on sports leagues, matches, and other related topics. There are also topics pertaining to casino games but most often the discussions would dwell on the games themselves rather than on their gambling aspects. And so one doesn't actually have to be a gambler to be able to join discussions. And I don't see any big deal with this.

As long as you can understand their situation there is nothing wrong to engage with the topics on gambling board.  I myself rarely gamble now but as I've also experienced before what some members are going into this forum, I can share my knowledge with them and how to overcome it. Sports threads isn't a problem because sports enthusiast on a particular sports can share their thoughts there of an ongoing league or matches. Though sometimes, those topics are filled the 1st page of gambling discussion board like boxing, soccer, basketball match thread. It's hard to find a topic where many gamblers will relate to 1 issue.
