4542  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans hoarding cash doing more harm to their economy? on: May 14, 2020, 10:32:38 AM
Is that the big cause of the current economy today? I don't think so. The economy is hurt because no one could spend their money where they want to because most of the stores or places that you can spend it on are closed. The main reason why stock markets crashed because people started cashing out their investments and that is one of the reasons for the "cash hoarding".

Everything is connected to the current pandemic and I hope it will get better soon. The current economy will recover for sure.
4543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Trading Exchange Platform Has Never Been Hacked ? on: May 13, 2020, 06:27:09 PM
Well, there are a lot of exchanges that have not been hacked. It's also different if there's no hacking happened. I think the best investment for them is always about security and constant updating to prevent hacks.

I think it's not a significant benefit to know that an exchange hasn't been hacked, but how an exchange would handle it sounds better—possibly letting the users know as well that there was an attempt and the funds are safe or something like that. Reputation on exchanges is beneficial to users staying there as well.

Since the question is likely answered, I want to share this about picking an exchange. Having the nearest server with the exchange is ideal for faster trades, especially with WebSockets.
4544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPM Bank changes tone and opens for crypto exchanges on: May 13, 2020, 05:02:41 PM
Oh, what I remember is this one.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/jpmorgan-ceo-jamie-dimon-returns-to-bitcoin-bashing-calls-cryptocurrency-a-scam

Maybe the situation right now is dire that the CEO has thought of this as the future of banking. It's not bad to change their minds this late but make sure that they are here to stay and not just pump and dump this.
4545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: During a bull market, cash out in what? on: May 12, 2020, 04:03:53 PM
Why not take advantage of the Bull market to convert into Fiat then buy more when there's a bearish market? What I want to say is that you could take the time to learn about hedging and maybe you could profit more than you should. Try it, message me if you want to automate that with Gunbot. That's just my take and what I do too.

You can consider investing continuously even if there's a bullish market. Compounding interest is good, imo.
4546  Economy / Economics / Re: How can a small shop survive in Manhattan,NY with a rent of 5k per month ? on: May 12, 2020, 01:46:14 PM
I don't think it's right to underestimate the capacity of that "small shop" you are talking about. If it stays in that rented space for a long time surely means it's profitable. No one is stupid enough to continually invest in something that loses in the long term, that's just outrageous.

There was a member who was going to start up some kind of crypto arcade/coffee shop thing in NYC a few months ago.  I wonder what happened to him and his idea?
Being in a coffee shop or arcade place that is crypto themed would be fun. Not a bad venture, I guess?
4547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC Halving and its effect on gambling on: May 12, 2020, 11:09:21 AM
What are you talking about? The halving is done already and we are waiting for the 4th halving now. What date of writing did you do and you just post this now?

Hey! With the 3rd halving just around the corner and Bitcoin trading at about $9,200 at the time of writing, the price may break past the $10,000 mark once again in the weeks or months following [a lot of polls in regards to that here as well]

There's currently a sideways market before and after halving. I don't think there's a direct correlation towards halving and gambling itself but only towards what it could do with the Bitcoin price. But as you can see, nothing big has happened with the price except for the dump from 9k to 8k.

Code:
if balance < initbalance then

if (initbalance-balance)==prebet then
nextbet=prebet
end

if (initbalance-balance)==(prebet*2) then
nextbet=prebet
end

if (initbalance-balance)>(prebet*2) then
nextbet=firstbet+secondbet
end

if win and (initbalance>balance) then
nextbet=previousbet
end
end

Meron ng prebet*2 . Pero this is what happens pag yung balance mo is less than initial balance. Kaso nga lang ito ay base sa balance, not the actual bet itself. Susubukan ko pa i-edit ulit. Wala pa kasi ulit ako ma-testingan na account for now.
4549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting as a Trader and Trading Bitcoin on: May 12, 2020, 09:33:13 AM
The summary of everyone "if they are just starting as a trader in Bitcoin" is sufficient. I have understood well enough most of the suggested topics to discuss.

The important points that I want to point out are
  • Understanding the Risk of Trading
  • What is the best exchange to trade on?
  • Choosing a strategy that best suits the trader
  • What coins to choose from
  • How to become profitable in trading?

I think most of the points above single have things in common, and that's the wanting to learn and preventing the possible risks towards the portfolio. No one could perfect it, but if you are consistent in winning, you could overcome all the losses.

It's time to close this thread, knowing that it's been thoroughly discussed, and I aim to prevent spamming as well in this thread.
4550  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin halving's 3 possible scenarios. on: May 12, 2020, 05:22:56 AM
There is a lot that has happened but I think we are in Boring Part of this phase. The OP considered everything that could possibly happen and for me, it did. Right now, all I can say is Now What?

It's like the tweet of the official Binance account.
So... what do we do now?

That's what I'm feeling right now. Lol.

It's evident in the past that the past halving events had positive effects on bitcoin's price in the mid-long term. So whatever happens in the short-term, really doesn't matter that much. Though I'd personally probably prefer a drop so we could accumulate more. Thoughts?
I think this is the best mindset that we could have, people involved in Bitcoin should have too. Having the Long Term mindset that people should have. It's not wise to have to speculate on what could happen to Bitcoin's price because no one can predict it, but the discussion should always be what could we do in the long term to help the price move up. In the short term, accumulate more.
4551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there bots that support stable coins trading? on: May 11, 2020, 05:26:29 PM
I could assure you that you would be able to trade stable coins with Gunbot

The best way, IMO, that could take advantage of buying and selling stable coins is to use a market maker bot. This utilizes the spread between the buy and sell orders and profiting from it.

If you need more information about it, we could talk about it and I could support you. There are a lot of strategies that can be used and Gunbot has built-in preset strategies as well.
4552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Enhanced restriction in gambling casinos is it possible on: May 11, 2020, 12:40:40 PM
indoor spaces with lots of people, drinking.......and no face masks? i'd put casinos in the same league as bars in that way (although better air circulation) which under most plans (like nevada) won't reopen until the later stages.
I have been to casinos where it's hard to breathe and man, I wish it was allowed to use face masks.

It's said in this article that they would let employees use PPE's to "feel safe" with the current situation. I'm not sure if it would be okay for players as well. There would still be physical contact, though.

https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/as-nevada-slowly-reopens-gaming-comeback-could-be-a-long-road

only 4-max poker allowed! that really changes the game... Shocked
Does it have a large effect on the game? I'm not sure, but I know that there would be more possibilities of hands though.
4553  Economy / Economics / Re: Epidemic to Pandemic to Diaster-Cycle on: May 11, 2020, 10:50:37 AM
The best way to approach the current situation that we have now is doing something about it

You could either donate to the proper organizations in your area that would be helping the people in need in your country.  Or organize your own and do all the logistics and everything. That's just my opinion.

If you are open to donating as well, there's a current campaign about helping the members of Bitcointalk towards the Covid Affected members. You could check the link below. It's a great one for sure.

Project Covid-19 : A Financial Aid - Only for Bitcointalk users!

So eto ba yung tinutukoy mong gusto i-edit?

So possible formula yung una mong hahanapin kung gusto mo ibahin yung rules niya. Maganda kung mas maging specific ka, pero if you don't want to share the specifics, pwede mo naman i-pm sakin, baka matulungan din kita dito.
4555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vechain Blockchain on: May 11, 2020, 06:40:04 AM
What interests me in VeChain is about the Governance model. The transparency of it seems straight forward but making it appear that they could control most of the decisions and reaching a consensus to their benefits as well. The steering community is like a centralization type of feel to me, and it doesn't make any sense to use this, though.

There are a lot of blockchain applications that can be useful towards everyone but still have to have that "governance" or "steering community." I feel that there's no decentralization and for me, it's always essential in a project.
4556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors are losing Bitcoin by Investing in Altcoins? on: May 10, 2020, 05:21:39 PM
If you invest now in altcoins, it would be hard to recover unless you really want that altcoin to begin with. Almost all altcoins follow the BTC's price in general so when the value of the BTC rises, the value of it also rises. That would really happen if you invest in shitcoins too.

In essence, don't buy shitcoins, buy bitcoins.

I am quite confuse if OP is trying to advertise his/her article/website. The trade you have mentioned seems to me about USD pair.
The article is quite confusing, IMO. I think the best conclusion right now is don't buy shitcoins.
4557  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Meron po ba ditong pwedeng magturo kung paano gumawa ng Dice Betting Script? on: May 10, 2020, 10:54:43 AM
If you have the same script, betting system, I think it would be wise to just adjust the betting amount. Babaguhin mo ba yung formula or adjust lang yung mga amounts of bet?

Kasi if we're talking about adjusting amounts or the formulas it would be easy to edit. Hindi ko makita kung may script na nakapost sa DiceBot about Fibonacci pero ibang script muna to, just for an example.

Code:
if (balance < (cbal+cbal*stoplosspercent/100)) then
print("You lost your session roll...Stopping")
stop()
end
It's an equation that is for calculated balance and checking if it reached the stop loss amount.

Most scripts have the variables this way
Code:
initialbet = 0.00000100
sessionprofit = 0.00050000
Change the amount that you prefer then you are good.

Anyway, siguro pwede tayo mag collaborate with making your script para at least, tulong tulong. Tapos siyempre Use at Your Own Risk.
4558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Enhanced restriction in gambling casinos is it possible on: May 10, 2020, 03:38:25 AM
It seems like you want to gamble ASAP lol. Anyways, I think there could be some regulations taking place. Since most of the casinos are now advanced, there could be improvements and new strict rules for members to play.
  • Strictly cashless for cashing in. Most of the casinos now have their membership cards and have their balance there
  • Distancing between players in the same table and frequently sanitize
  • Only the automated machines would be active, not the physical ones like poker, etc.

Facemask is not ideal because the cameras won't be able to identify the people, and it might cause some ruckus on the casino floor or something. I still think that it's best to stick to online first, and hopefully, no land-based casinos would open up.
4559  Local / Pilipinas / Re: How a CEO of a Delisted Company TRIED to get Back by Selling Security Tokens on: May 09, 2020, 05:46:31 PM
Kropcoin became Crapcoin  Shocked

It probably is one of his schemes to convert all the remaining cash into cryptocurrency and if the ICO happens, dumping everything and getting all the invested money by the people. Buti na lang talaga hindi na natuloy. This goes to show that there are people who take advantage of cryptocurrency to evade their financial problems. Isipin mo yun, talagang ginagawang financial instrument yung cryptocurrencies. Maganda yun kung ginagamit sa tamang paraan, hindi sa pag bayad ng mga nawawalang value.

Mas naintindihan ko lalo ang importansya ng Security Token and Utility token, why it matters with the SEC.
4560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when will the alts season come? on: May 09, 2020, 02:10:45 PM
poloniex and bittrex are both silent for a long time Roll Eyes
Are these the only sites you think serve altcoins? There are a lot of exchanges that have altcoins and some are even doing IEO, I'm not quite sure today.

The suggestion of Samayuki where Bitcoin season is the time is what I would agree with. It's all over the news that "halving" is nearing and this may be true or not but everything is just speculation.
