4561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 13, 2020, 11:39:26 PM
Odds at below 1.3 is not a good pick even chances to win is 90-100%. Just imagined how much you need to put for a good profit in return.
Yes, more chances to win but still losing is possible.
Not worth a risk. I will play at 1.7 above instead of risking money on low odds.
You got a point! Risk:reward ratio too.
We should also consider what we are risking and the reward we get for what we risked.
For me, even how odds is higher or extremely favor on the one you bet, there are still lot of chances that it will loses, in any sports I admit.
That's why there are lot of people who are betting against the high odds with very low amount only but the reward is huge.
4562  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BITCOIN FOREX EXCHANGE FOR INDEPENDENCE FROM ANY CURRENCIES on: September 13, 2020, 10:17:50 AM
I don't understand you point, BTC is global trader 24x7 , follow the sun rule. So it is already independent, psuedo anonymous, if exchanges are not supporting your currency then used USD to pegged your money, simply as that. You can even trade it P2P through localbitcoins. I'm lucky that we have exchanges that convert it automatically to local fiat, but I don't see any problems though if you put it in USD and later exchange it to your local currency.
Sad but it is actually happening. because a lot of people feel like they are cut off at the knees. Seems every time you find a way to make a living. The government comes in and changes the laws , raise taxes, limit technology and other things to keep us out from success.😩
Some country may strict just like what OP mentioned.
But for me, there will be always a solution. There are some lot of alternatives to sell or buy your Bitcoins, just like doing it for some peer to peer transaction. That's why Bitcoin like that, no one can control Bitcoin. A lot of people also telling that government or banks are extremely afraid on Bitcoin because owning of Bitcoin is like you already have a bank in your own wallet or pocket.
4563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 13, 2020, 10:05:33 AM
I think this is the matter of social gathering rather than the spider betting itself.
Unless gambling is banned in your place, I don't think spider betting is that bad. As a kid, we've been doing that for years and we don't have a problem with that to the authorities. The barangay captain of our place even joins with our fun by cheering with us. It is just we are hard-headed and loves letting these spiders fight, that is just it.
Anything is bad if gambling is illegal at the current situation, though this is just a spider betting but I'm pretty sure there are big bets involve in this game. Once a kids game but is now popular from gamblers already, police would not capture these people in the picture if there's no big money involve.
Small or big money involve once there are/is some law about gambling that they violate they should be able to arrest or capture.
But this is difficult now, they are still minor and for sure in some country, this is different issue once minor are involved in gambling.
In terms of the current pandemic and there are some events like this, this is totally not allow in some country (just like ours).
It's difficult to control the people in gambling, even we say the money involve here are small only.
4564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto in Q3-Q4 2020. Hodl or use for purchases? on: September 13, 2020, 10:00:30 AM
For me, I have different uses of Bitcoin these days.
I used to hold Bitcoins since when I started to know what Bitcoin is and I am happy that I am still holding them.
Holding Bitcoin for me for a long term is important, as time goes by when I am adding Bitcoin to my bags, the price on which level I bought starting become no matter to me.
Speaking of using my Bitcoins to purchase some goods and services. I am using some of them especially when I am able to get some Bitcoins for working some small gigs online.
4565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Rebounds as Bitcoin Holds Steady on: September 13, 2020, 09:57:23 AM
(....)
Ethereum is looking very strong among all the altcoins. The dump of bitcoins has least effect on Ethereum. I think DeFi has a lot to do in the current price increase of Ethereum.
I am looking for a bull run for Ethereum just like in 2017. Maybe it can touch 1000$ in few months time.
The DeFi could be a really huge effect on Ethereum for fundamental part.
But if we will use the technical analysis on Ethereum, I think Ethereum is just making a good return, remember when Bitcoin dumped on below $4,000 before and Ethereum dumped also below $100? That is extremely huge dumped on Ethereum.
And when we compare the All-time-highs of these two,
Bitcoin is -46.4% from it's all time high, while Ethereum is still -73.3%. So for me, Ethereum is kinda normal for these kind of gains.
4566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Outrageous trading fees, should I switch to stocks? on: September 13, 2020, 07:32:29 AM
(....)
If I purchase 1 BTC NOW I pay $12,255 USD, and if I want to sell at the same moment I receive $11,111 USD (how can I make profit with this?)
(...)
Correct me if I am wrong, what the most people called about this scenario is the spread, the difference on the buying price and selling price.
It's really difficult to use that kind of exchanges, it's also like in our country, there are some exchanges that you can directly buy or sell Bitcoin directly to Philippine Peso (PHP).
What I am using before and now, when I buy Bitcoin using our national currency, I am transferring it to some exchanges and I will trade there.
4567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Rebounds as Bitcoin Holds Steady on: September 13, 2020, 07:26:21 AM
It is easy to Ethereum to make a rebound now because the DeFi projects are supporting the currency so expect more Hype in price.
But checking the market now Bitcoin also gaining some good amount valuing $10,500 now slowly but surely moving up right?

https://coinmarketcap.com/

ETH is also at 4% gain now with the price of $387 not bad from below 350 yesterday.

if Bitcoin can be stuck at support $ 9600 to $ 9900 then altcoins especially Ethereum will also experience recovery again,
but if the Bitcoin price is below $ 9500, we need to be worry
Lol for what reason that Bitcoin will seat at that Low?cannot you see the strong Hold at 410k?

and if Bitcoin fell that Bad i'm telling you all altcoin will dump together with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is moving too.
What I really believe on Ethereum these past few weeks is really got strong bouncing back, even how dump is hard, Ethereum still manage to hold.
Just like what Bitcoin did, past few days, multiple times we dropped below $10,000 but after that, Bitcoin is bouncing back again. Lot of traders liquidated, lol.
4568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: European Crypto Exchange Hacked For 5 million dollars 😱😰😢😢 on: September 12, 2020, 10:23:09 AM
the only way they can do is to watch the wallet address what if the hacker use mixer before  selling it to exchange ? Are they still able to kNow that details if hackers already use it?
This is extremely difficult for the Eterbase team. It's already gone, it will only be back if the hacker will decide to give it back, lol (extremely impossible).
Using such a mixer for this hack is kinda impossible, it's really huge amount of Bitcoin, I also don't know what the hacker will do. The address for sure used in the hack is already flagged in some exchanges or other services.
4569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it getting late to buy crypto again? on: September 12, 2020, 10:12:10 AM
(...)
Try to trade bitcoin by events, if some bad news is obviously bitcoin will go down. I think this is the only tactic for me.
This kind of way of trading is really popular before, but as time goes by, people are getting used to it.
Correct me if I am wrong, we can call it a FUD, especially there are some huge entity spreading some false or negative news about Bitcoin and it causes a huge dump on Bitcoin or sometimes a pump.
4570  Other / Archival / Re: Grayscale bought BTC for $ 690M in the last 100 days on: September 12, 2020, 10:04:17 AM
That's quite a huge number.
What I am curious here is how we can know if those numbers are legit or after they buying such Bitcoin, do they not selling it after some move of the price?
I am also curious about what happened if Grayscale will dump those Bitcoin in the future?
4571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Can Reverse Bitcoin Transactions? on: September 12, 2020, 09:42:46 AM
It's true  65% of all the mining are held in China, but it's actually not possible to reverse a bitcoin transaction, we all know it's impossible, but if they have found a way to do it, then it's more scarier than I thought, imagine after buying some btc's and after it reaches your wallet, the next minute they're all gone Shocked,i just hope it's not true.
Scary like hell. Also what I remember before when Binance was breached and lost around $40m.
"Binance Considered Pushing for Bitcoin ‘Rollback’ Following $40 Million Hack".
CZ Binance or the founder mentioned before to rollback the transaction to get back the 40million USD hacked on their exchange. He mentioned some huge players in Bitcoin mining industries. But after then, they were not able to roll back the transaction and it's better then.
Really scary, Binance is popular and have connection on country of China.
4572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INTRODUCTION TO CHART FOR NEWBIES on: September 12, 2020, 09:35:49 AM
Back again after travelling a while so lets continue with some more helpful and simplified series.
RSI (The relative strength index) Simplified
What is RSI - It is an indicator that can be used to determine if an asset is in overbought or oversold territory. It can range from 0-100 and it is displayed as an oscillator.
(.....)
This is one of the best indicator I am using in my chart, before entering a trader or before closing our trade, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is extremely useful.
For what I am also experience using such Relative Strength Index (RSI), the higher timeframe we are using here, the more effective it is.
4573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't use your bitcointalk account password on other websites on: September 12, 2020, 09:27:02 AM
In terms of using such strong passwords,
this thread may help for creating a strong password that will help us in our different accounts: [GUIDE] How to Create a Strong/Secure Password
I already experienced this kind of scenario before, especially in one of the exchanges I am using before, I really don't have an idea why they were able to log in my account. One of the reasons could be like this (using the same password in different websites), or another one is the insider of the exchange or they have been breached.

tryninja and I also created it, what technology did you use to create this bot?
(...)
Thanks for those words, I am also fan of your bot and it is one of my inspiration creating this one, I used Javascript on this bot, node.js framework.

Hi mate its been a while since I last posted here. Have you check out this thread?
[Upgrade!] So.... on which board did you earn (or spent) most of your (s)Merit?
(....)
Hi, sorry for the late response. Thanks for the interest for this bot and another feature you suggesting for the bot, it is really amazing for that.
For the kind of feature you are asking, it's really possible but really takes time to do it.

These past few months, I become busy and not updating some of the part of the bot. But it's still working. Thank you all for using the bot.
4575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Insolar MainNet and XNS price speculation on: September 12, 2020, 08:28:05 AM
Is XNS an ERC20 token?
Nope, they have now their own native coin on their own main net.
I remember before when Insolar was still INS, they are just ERC20 token before under Ethereum network.
Here is the current chart of Insolar, it's still early for now. But what I notice on their project is really amazing, they improved a lot. I thought before Insolar is already dead.
The market cap is increasing as of now, there is still no huge dump or pump.

4576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Emotet Warning: Japan France and New Zealand issued Bulletin on: September 10, 2020, 11:10:15 PM
Even if you do not live in the above mentioned countries, you may be affected by the emotet Trojan. For example, if you have email contacts to these countries (private or business), there is a bit more risk likely to get affected. Unfortunately I know some companies that are/were not only affected by this Trojan.
Yep, those mentioned countries are only for sure the major countries that this kind of spreading malware.

This malware is really notorius. As what I saw in a news about this malware, the malware already exist about 5 years ago and now, it is back again with some major countries are one of targets of said malware.

Here is some tips how we can this kind of malware from toolbox
  • Disable macros within MS Office. Only enable macros that are digitally signed or from trusted locations
  • Ensure your anti-virus software on your endpoint device is active and up to date
  • Restrict PowerShell to only executing signed scripts
  • Apply the principles of least privilege
  • Use of mail and web filters to block known Emotet documents and C2
  • Application whitelisting
4577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My experience is gambling on: September 10, 2020, 10:59:33 PM
I also remember what my friend told me before when he is with me when we gambling and it is my first time to win,
"Don't be happy too much when you are winning, brace yourself if you will lose in the future. It's just happy when you are winning."
My friend really got a point here.
For OP, I really agree on what you told about the self control, this kind of attitude MUST have or posses for every people who are in gambling or even planning to start or try gambling.
4578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fibonacci Retracement for dummies on: September 10, 2020, 10:50:00 PM
Something about Fibonacci is that it is also like those indicators that disappoints. Most times I feel it gets beaten by price easily. I use it as support or resistance with other indicator for better trading.
I am also using it too for identifying some pullbacks (short or long).
Fibonacci is really good tool for identifying your target too and possibly re enter or catching some dumps to enter (if you are fan of entering during dump, like catching some knives).
As a trader, using Fibonacci Retracement is useful, I remember when first time I saw and tried this, it really confusing, especially if you are not familiar what is Fibonnaci is or how it works in general, that's why it's important we should also know the origin of it or how it works in general, not only in charts.
4579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lorem ipsum for cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2020, 10:43:56 PM
(....)
This will be a great asset for those who are in the field of website development. I am sure some developers from themeforest must have used it while creating cryptocurrency based themes.
As a inspired web developer, I really appreciate this lorem ipsum for cryptocurrency, because lately I was really involved in some web development major on frontend part.
This is kinda confusing somehow for some people if we use this and they don't have idea with cryptocurrency.
But this is effective for sure for some cryptocurrency projects, not only on web development but in some works too, like graphics designing.
4580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Can Reverse Bitcoin Transactions? on: September 10, 2020, 10:40:38 PM
I'm not surprised that the one who said China can reverse Bitcoin transactions is Chris Larsen. Because the goal is to spread FUD,
in order for the Bitcoin price to fall.
(...)
Most of the people said this, because Chris Larsen is connected with XRP. Let's say someone said it without connected to other altcoins or shitcoins.
Most of us for sure hate XRP here, but Chris Larsen is just saying his opinion, let's not ignore it because he is connected with XRP.
That's why I created the thread to discuss about the reversing some Bitcoin transactions if miners will coordinate somehow.
