For me Bitcoin is form of money. Digital currency. That I can earn over Interweb from doing different tasks and I can receive payment for my work in a minutes even if it is 23:49PM Sunday night. With a little fee and so much fun!

If you want to use a coin to pay - Bitcoin and Litecoin are most popular.

But people are accepting few others coins in their shops too.

If your purpose is to became a trader - then you must remember, that altcoins are crazy. Market is crazy. You can gain huge profits and you can choose wrong coin to invest and your coin will be worth nothing.
