4561  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best place to buy Crypto in the UK? on: October 17, 2017, 11:17:38 PM
Forget Coinbase. Even if you manage to get verified you likely wont be able to verify your bank account and they don't reply to support messages at all. I've been waiting  five months without a single responses to about 7+ support requests and numerous emails with my money stuck on there. Shocking service and if you do a bit of googling you'll see I'm just one of many. Kraken is a much better exchange but I would just recommend buying bitcoins direct from someone so try localbitcoins or the currency exchange here.
4562  Other / Meta / Re: end of all signature campaigns on: October 17, 2017, 06:52:53 PM
It doesn't cost anything to pre-mine a crapcoin and pay unlimited users in it. You don't even have to monitor participants; just accept unlimited users (including newbies - because why the hell not?) who will post any old crap without consequence. Why would anyone purchase ad slots when you can just do this? That's the problem here. Signature campaigns clearly work. I wouldn't even be aware of 99% of shitcoin ICOs if it wasn't for the tribes of shitposters spamming nonsense everywhere whereas I barely notice the one forum ad.
4563  Other / Meta / Re: Boards that don't contribute to activity on: October 17, 2017, 07:10:57 AM
Yeah, I think most of them are probably just doing it to quickly farm their accounts. I bet half of them probably don't even actually sign up to the bounty. Used to see a similar thing with people saying variants of "I PMd you" when in fact they never even sent a PM and were just trying to boost their post count (telling someone they've PMd them in itself is utterly redundant).
4564  Other / Meta / Re: Boards that don't contribute to activity on: October 17, 2017, 06:40:52 AM
Bump. The new Bounties section should also be included with this. It's an entire sub forum consisting of posts like this one after the other:

Joined airdrop.. All the best..

Joined Airdrop & thank you for opportunity

Signed up, thanks for that.

Joined airdrop and best of luck

Just look at siemonangle0007 posts as well. His entire history is almost exclusively saying variants of 'joined the airdrop'. Pointless. Account farmers and sig spammers will love this board.
4565  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: October 17, 2017, 06:39:26 AM
Are posts like this even permitted:

Joined airdrop.. All the best..

Joined Airdrop & thank you for opportunity

Signed up, thanks for that.

Joined airdrop and best of luck

Because it's happening en masse in the Bounty board. We don't allow campaigns to encourage users to post their addresses in the threads but this is no different and is still essentially bump spam.
4566  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: October 17, 2017, 06:04:54 AM
You can get 14 activity points every two week period. That's all you need to know.

I got 28 activity points within 2 days ... So it doesnt really make sense ...  Huh Roll Eyes

No, it makes sense. You just don't understand what a period is. If you sign up a day before the new period then you will have 14 activity then another 14 the day after.

- Hey sir, my problem is I don't like to post because I'm not a talkative guy, I just read the post. Is there any way to gain activity without posting?

You only get activity by being active... Hence why it's called activity. Not sure why you care about activity though if you don't post much. Funny how your first post here is enquiring about signature campaigns which require you to do exactly that. Looks like you can't even be bothered to read either:

Hey everyone, newbie here. Just one question, whats the purpose of this Signature-Ad Campaigns? The threads is so long to read.

Tnx...

Another interesting post:

Kailan ba tagala mg.post para lalaki ang rank mo? Pano kung di ko talaga hilig mg.post? Read lng ang gusto ko...

Translation:

Quote
When do you post your.post for your rank rank? What if I do not really want to post it? Read what I want

If you don't want to post you really shouldn't be here.

Edit: Oh look, he's joined a signature campaign  Roll Eyes.
4567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: October 16, 2017, 11:08:20 PM
Week 2 and this one are the worst for me. Last game of Leicester isn't helping either, I had them 1-0 correct result and now they are 1-1 already, let's hope they score so I get another 10 point and make this not another worse week, 50 points is acceptable. Anyway before this one I had 2 great weeks so I hope next one to recover a bit.

I also had 1-0 to Leicester. It seems Stephcurry is on fire with his predictions:

Leicester vs West Brom 1-1

Both he and rickbig got 120 points.

Week nine's games are now available to pick. There's a lot of games I don't like the look of.
4568  Other / Meta / Re: Messages delivered wrong? on: October 16, 2017, 09:22:23 AM
Can you post a screenshot because I'm confused as to what the error is? Are you sure the PM wasn't just sent to both of you or it isn't just an error on the sender's part? He could just have copied and pasted it from another message but without a screenshot people likely can't advise further.
4569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: October 15, 2017, 02:28:18 PM
Doesn’t look like anybody had a great week so far, fingers crossed I improve on my pathetic 40 points in the remaining games this weekend.

Yeah, but that can change with the remaining games. I just got a perfect score thanks to a 90 minute pen from Rooney haha. Anyone else get 1-1? I see cicciobtc did and Step got 10 points for the draw. If I can get another 40 points from the remaining two games it won't have been a bad round in the end.
4570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2017, 04:32:47 PM
For me until this moment, a disastrous week with only 30 points scored after 6 matches
I  hope for you that the 3 different matches have given you more points than me.

Yeah, I only got thirty points as well. StephenCurry got 40 points on the Liverpool vs Manchester United 0-0 draw so he'll likely still be top unless ajaxmoor got some big points.
4571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2017, 08:17:10 AM
Welcome back to EPL everyone, don't forget to enter predictions! As can be expected, some of our favourite players are nursing injuries from their WC qualifiers. I don't really understand what happens in these games that break even beasts like Sadio Mane, and just before meeting our arch rivals too! Six weeks without Mane, I'm really gutted =(

Anyway, I've decided to KEEP my 3-0 Liverpool prediction, so if that happens, I'll be happy to only get 40 points this week.

@ciccio I think we voted to keep it to Top 3, as specified in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2076240.msg20745851#msg20745851
It will cost 0.01BTC to enter and currently the prize money will be around (in BTC equivalent):

£400 1st place
£80 2nd place
£20 3rd place

Of course, the pot is worth something closer to £1,000 now!

@tokeweed Yeah let's spice it up next season with plenty of side bets!

I may do very small 4th and 5th consolation prizes just to make it a bit more interesting for others and an incentive to keep playing, especially with the pot having nearly doubled.

My picks this week are weirdly exactly the same as cicciobtc's choices with the exception of three.

here are my exact results for week 8:

Liverpool vs Manchester United  1-1
Burnley vs West Ham 1-0
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea 0-3
Manchester City vs Stoke  4-0
Swansea vs Huddersfield 0-0
Tottenham vs Bournemouth 2-0
Watford vs Arsenal 1-2
Brighton vs Everton 1-1
Southampton vs Newcastle 1-1
Leicester vs West Brom 2-0

after the break for the national teams, there are always surprises, we will see if it will be this again this time.

Great that premier league is back. This week based on the games that are playing sounds one of the most difficult so far so I expect a lot of surprises tomorrow. I would be very happy with 50 points this week.

I'm optimistic this week. Looking to get myself back into the top 5 or hopefully higher.

Wait. The address above likely won't be accepted but maybe an admin will accept the other info you provided, but I wouldn't count on it.
4573  Other / Meta / Re: Ridiculous to send signed message to recover hacked account. on: October 14, 2017, 06:20:25 AM

Does that mean my hacked account can never be recovered?

At the current rate it's unlikely to be recovered. If you check the other threads in Meta even accounts with signed messages aren't getting restored or at best they have to wait weeks/months. Accounts could be restored by doing a bit of investigation on IPs etc but it's not foolproof and the forum currently doesn't have the manpower to do even that unfortunately.

On the new forum at least there will be multiple 2FA options to secure your account but I know that doesn't help you right now.
4574  Other / Meta / Re: Hesabım Kilitlendi!/ my account locked on: October 14, 2017, 06:06:30 AM
You'll have to contact an admin with it.
I wrote two admins but did not make a return. please help me

You're probably out of luck then. They rarely seem to restore people's accounts who provide all the correct info so they're unlikely going to investigate with the info you provided.
4575  Other / Meta / Re: account banned on: October 13, 2017, 06:58:39 AM
Oh, it's your brothers account now Shocked. Please stop it as these excuses aren't going to work. You had numerous accounts banned for the exact same reasons then you create new accounts with johne and johnxe names who both protest innocence and who both have facebook@gmail.com email addresses with random numbers on the end, but you expect us to believe you're different people? C'mon. You wont be getting the accounts back.
Dear why you are not understanding. i have no more accounts. if you have found on my gmail account kindly block them but i am not responsible that if two or more accounts have same name then its my account.i am using my bro laptop because of IP.

Why do you idiots think everybody else is one? Nobody is going to believe this crap. So you're actually claiming that you don't know the johne account? You're saying two random people in the exact same circumstances have by chance had their accounts banned for the same reason then they both create accounts with john in the name and practically the same facebook@gmail email addresses? C'mon.

why you are doing to your users like this.why you are not thinking about my hard work?

Why are users spamming and buying hacked accounts? You're not a valued user here. You're a greedy spammer who only cares about earning money lazily. What hard work have you done exactly? The hard work you did forcing yourself to spam posts as fast as you can over numerous accounts just so you could hit the required rank to join a signature campaign? You're just wasting your time here.

Sob stories wont work. I don't care if you're poor or a millionaire; all spammers and people using hacked accounts will be treated the same. Stop wasting yours and everybody else's time and accept that you bought hacked accounts and got them all banned for trying to spam your way through the ranks.
4578  Other / Meta / Re: account banned on: October 13, 2017, 05:32:23 AM
Stop wasting yours and everyone's time. You bought multiple hacked accounts and then spammed your way via shitposts to hit Full and Senior member just so you could immediately join a signature campaign to post even more crap over numerous accounts. Your accounts wont be unbanned.
4579  Other / Meta / Re: My account got banned Please Help on: October 13, 2017, 05:22:41 AM
His username not his real name which you've just made up. Besides, he can't be much of a friend if he sold you hacked accounts. I'd ask him for your money back.
4580  Other / Meta / Re: account banned on: October 13, 2017, 05:19:33 AM
Same thing all your other accounts were banned for and there's more to come. Not sure why you have to create a new account to ask for each one.

I mean, the usernames (and even emails) are practically the same so you can't even pretend that you're different people: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2262039.msg22936176#msg22936176
