4561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MyEtherWallet? on: August 31, 2017, 07:19:01 PM
Hey guys, I'm new to bounties and I want to know how to use this wallet. Can you help me? I am confused where can I find the tokens if it were to be send to my address and how to convert it to bitcoin. Please explain it to me, if it won't bother you that much. Thank you!

Let's explained it on basic and easiest way to  understand.

-You joined bounties that required ETH address
-They distribute tokens
-Then that is just a time you will see your tokens (not on ETH value). If there is no distribution yet obviously you have to wait.

How it can be converted to bitcoin?

-Transfer those tokens on exchanges where it will be listed
-Trade it directly via BTC (there are lots of ways)

Just explore the basic I stated and you will be used to that soon. Smiley
4562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Student without much $$$ on: August 31, 2017, 06:43:32 PM
Hey guys
So currently iv started playing with crypto about a month ago, and can afford to put around $100 a week into it. Iv made some investments into OMG, NEO, PAY, IOTA, ETC and XRP.

My question is, should i still be working my way to gaining 1 BTC first before anything? Price is so high right now and i have no idea how its possible when i can invest so little, hence why im just playing with the alt coins for now.

Any tips on what i should change? or what i should keep doing??

Thanks in advance

Since you have worries then stick with your current strategy and play with that for now.

You don't need to engage in bitcoin trading fow now because while doing altcoin trading, you are also benefited while bitcoin price is increasing since after all, the final judgement of your profit in altcoin trades will be transferred to bitcoin in which you will used that amount to start circulating again your hold alts.

If you think you are ready and now have guts to enter bitcoin trading, then it's your decide since you know your capacity.
4563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On Which device do you Gamble? on: August 31, 2017, 06:24:33 PM
This is for educational purposes, thanks for any feedback.

It depends on what gambling types:

Sports Betting - since we don't need some good graphics specs here just to placed a bet and overall it's just a matter of texts, I can do this on mobile mostly.

Dice, Slots, Poker, Roullets - obviously this needs a some internet plugins which most convenient if it will be played on desktop rather than on mobile.

Agreed, do you know how many of the gamblers here are into sports and how many for games they actually play?
BTW, mobile browsers today are more than capable of running the graphics you see on the desktop app, its all up to the developer.

There is no way we can know the numbers of gamblers here who are into sports or in a specific gambling type.

Yes agree that mobile phones today have great specs to run a high flash gambling website but still it depends if people really want to play on that platform. Example for slots, I found it not convenient when I played it on mobile as no way I can switch activities that's why for this type of gambling I used desktop.
4564  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex: Still safe ? on: August 31, 2017, 12:43:54 AM
Is Poloniex still a good trading site ? Recently i engaged in investing my money in poloniex and since the price drops i didn't sell my tradings yet and i was shocked when i found out that my tradings were already withdrawn from my account without notifying me on my on email. Any thoughts guy ? I need help Sad

Im using Poloniex and never experienced a major problem. Also I don't treat exchanges as safe. It's just a matter of playing with the risk. Now I suggest you to send some ticket in Poloniex although they have poor customer support since you have no choice but to asked them what happened.

Now that you have some pending case in Poloniex, don't used them for now while your case isn't solved yet. Also moved on and try to recover the loss from doing trading again at another trading site. That's the reality when we engaged in trading exchanges today.

4567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber’s New CEO Is a Bitcoin Fan on: August 30, 2017, 10:51:35 PM
Interesting article about Uber's New CEO. Looks like Uber might be taking bitcoin soon.

http://fortune.com/2017/08/30/uber-ceo-dara-khosrowshahi-bitcoin/

Well nothing special here.

On the side note and a little bit of OT, they must learn how to follow rules and regulations.

Uber just fined 190M here in my country because of lack of regulations and didn't able to follow some of the rules. They enjoy their freedom because of poor governance prior to the new administration but now everything was changed because of new government. Look at their counterpart Grab operating without a problem because they follow protocol.

4568  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin value crash if North Korea goes to war with Japan on: August 30, 2017, 10:28:15 PM
Hey guys. With North Korea sending one of their bombs flying over the island of Japan it made me realize what happens to the value of Bitcoin if a war breaks out.

If North Korea attacks Japan will it send the value of Bitcoin crashing down or will the opposite happen?

Let me just also clarify that I do not wish for a war and hope the value goes up in a peaceful environment.

Not just with bitcoin but that is the start of economic fall. Once Nokor do some shit actions against Japan, it's not just between the two countries and eventually other countries will involved too. There is no economic rise during an ongoing global war so bitcoin is included to that.

But in reality, NoKor is just full of talks. As if they are the only who are having a big weapon without realizing that Allied countries also have one.
4569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will DeepOnion be worth? on: August 30, 2017, 01:39:36 AM
Will watch this closely.

Currently there is an ongoing scam accusation about Deeponion but still maintain it's momentum coming from a $2 yesterday and now breaching $4. The volume is established in 24 hours is interesting. Surely this pump is a craze and I think correction price might won't happen in the next following days. How far it will goes, let's see.
4570  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BITCOINTALK APP FOR MOBILE PHONES? on: August 30, 2017, 01:03:09 AM

Android?

Bakit mo ba natanong kung may madaling access? Paanong mahirap ba ang naexperience mo while browsing the site in any of your mobile phone browser para malaman natin ang pwedeng maging solution. Kung ang concern mo is iyong error nitong mga nakaraan, sa server na ng bitcointalk iyon at kahit may official app magiging apektado nun.
4571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: August 30, 2017, 12:36:58 AM
I'm wondering this because is such a real threat to bank system and we all know how banks and governments are tightly linked !

BTC could make people more autonomous, self-resilient, being their own bank. You can use it like cash, making your transaction almost untraceable (or untraceable using e.g. monero or dash or laundry systems) : this is governments worst nightmare, isn't it ?

Threats for banking system? Actually that kind of thinking just spread in this forum but in reality or general, majority of banks doesn't look it that way. How come it can be a threat if people itself will decide whether they will be used cryptos or banks. And besides it's more of advantage if people will used both.

And government nightmare? For how come? It's just that government priority is to ensure safety of the money because no doubt that bitcoin is more convenient when it used illegally. And if bitcoin will become globally adopted we need government here. People nowadays that just became a bitcoin enthusiast is thinking too much honestly.
4572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What services you wanna see with Bitcoin ? on: August 30, 2017, 12:27:54 AM
I am actually fine with bitcoin as it is now. We still have a long way to go before it can be accepted as a means of payment on a global scale. It's not yet quite ready for that imho. So I'm pretty actually happy with all that bitcoin already offers at the moment. I don't have this big inclination to use it as a means of payment for everyday shopping, I like it as an investment
I agree with this, bitcoin is still not ready for mass adoption, if bitcoin is having the problems of slow confirmations and high fees with a very low user base then it is very obvious bitcoin cannot support a large part of the economy using bitcoin all over the world, but it seems we are finally in the right direction with segwit and with the lightning network.

We just think that bitcoin is not yet ready but believe me, it's ready already. It's just that most people who are engaged in acquring bitcoin have a purposed of using this currency as an investment purposes rather than a currency. Well with the price increasing happening everytime many bitcoin will really think of that way. But aside from that, another reason why people used bitcoin as investment is because there are only few merchants accepting bitcoin as payment method locally and globally.

People especially the developers behind it, merhcants and companies will just have to move forward and not bitcoin itself in order for it to be called as ready for mass adoption.

4574  Economy / Services / Re: Care4Me Avatar & Signature Campaign [Earn BTC & CareCoin] [CLOSED] on: August 29, 2017, 11:22:07 PM
Any update for the carecoin and ethereum? I hope goinmerry update that. Im still waiting for the distribution of that two..

There is no ETH distribution mate, only CareCoin tokens.

Any information or updates about when they will distribute the CareCoin?
You are not the one they are too, the ICO is over and they said they will distribute after the ICO.

I think you are not reading the white paper of the tokes you are joining. Please read it and you will see that the main ICO of this token will be on October or November, that means the ICO is still not happening but what is done is the Pre-ICO where the goal is not reached. Please read.

Thanks for that.

Distribution of CareCoin tokens will not be handled by me, I handled only Bitcoin payments. Hope it clears.
4575  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Verify on: August 28, 2017, 10:05:56 PM

Im having issues with Poloniex. I signed up 3 weeks ago and still havent had my account verified. I have contacted them and still nothing. I really want to trade on there exchange but want to make sure all the verification process has been accepted, anybody else had issues with this?

Poloniex support really have a bad images right now.  Until today, I think there are still lots of unresolved tickets in which some are pending for months now.

Anyhow if you want to start trading at Poloniex, you don't need verifications (except for usual IP detection via email). Verifications is for withdrawal limit purposes only and if the trade amount involved is not that much, you can stick for the basic limit for now.
4576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transfer BitcoinCash mistake from bittrex to electrum on: August 28, 2017, 08:46:16 PM
You didn't received anything because obviously BCH is not supported by Electrum. It's really a mess I think.

Technically I don't have an idea what will happened now as I can't think of a way where did your BCH will go through now. Maybe asked some technical opinion from the Bittrex itself and see if there is some sort of problems like that recently that they handled.
4577  Economy / Exchanges / Re: maybe a try to hack my bitrex acount? on: August 28, 2017, 07:53:43 PM
of course I have 2fa activated.     after loged with other browser it allo me to log from mocrosfot edged now,  I change all password relate just in case.      I found ver rare bitrex aske me to log on from a email,  that can be  use in future for hackers  accomplish you log on from a hacker email.  if they want to confir other ip address/device they need use other way.  Still not sure bitrex sended that email, but if so they need to change that way that will bring more problem in future.

I also have the same email from Bittrex which occurs I think once or twice every week. Not just in Bittrex but Im having a related email too from C-Cex. I don't know how those people involved there got the mailing list of both exchanges.

But since you surely knows that you are secured then nothing to worry about.
4578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 24, 2017, 11:28:58 PM

Isiah Thomas was expecting Boston Celtics will give him a max contract but it doesn't happened. Feel sad for him because he really expecting it that after he give great performance last season, it's like easy for Celtics to trade him in exchange for Kyrie Irving. Well Thomas must move on and show Celtics that they throw away a good caliber point guard.

https://www.boston.com/sports/boston-celtics/2017/08/24/lebron-james-went-on-a-twitter-rant-about-fans-burning-isaiah-thomas-jerseys

Why fans are like that? lol. Angry

Isiah Thomas have nothing to do with the trades. It was management decision. Why this fans doing shit for Isiah Thomas after all this guy did with the team. He needs respect damn those people. He was just silent after all and the only tweet he made after the trade is "Positive Vibes Only".
4579  Economy / Gambling / Re: theBTClottery on: August 24, 2017, 11:13:06 PM
https://thebtclottery.com/
currently a work in progress and needing serious help to make my vision reality

The interface is simple yet clean and neat. Im giving a rating of 7 ouf ot 10.

But in reality, people are not much interested anymore in lottery since the chances is really low. Plus the fact that your lottery ticket amount can now be considered as valuable because of the current bitcoin price. But hey if there are only people joined the current draw then they have higher chance to win if they send many entries. The questioned here now is the legitimacy of the draw.

Well then, goodluck to your site and development.
4580  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.1 BTC With collateral on: August 24, 2017, 11:00:29 PM
alright first of all the collateral must be something that can be sold (instantly) and not waiting until the dev ANN
second. you are not sure that the price of 1 MINEXCOIN will be 0.0023.. BTC !
as that being said if you don't have another type of collateral i suggest you lock this topic cause i doubt that somebody will lend you.

Where you get it wrong is that collateral is something that is available for sale. If that is the case then there is no need for him to come for the loan rather he could have exchange it at the exchange. So, I think he has a valid collateral but who am I since I am not going to make the loan available and even using the quoted price, the amount is over 100% of the amount asked for.

It will just be a valid collateral if it's already listed on exchange. And the supposed price of it once it hit exchanges is just an expecting proce. Sometimes people doesn't want to sold it at the moment in some of the exchanges since they are waiting for their target that's why sometimes it was being used as a collateral.

In case of OP's requested amount, it was way too high because of the current bitcoin price. Maybe someone will click the bait if he will lowered the amount and escrow is a must.
