Al-Ittihad has reportedly made a significant offer of €100 million for a three-year contract to Paul Pogba. After Pogba being targeted for a move to Saudi Arabia, he visited there recently and got the opportunity to visit Al-Ittihad's facilities for personal reasons. However, when asked about the transfer speculations, he chose not to make any comments. As of now, no decision has been made. If the news turn out true, then Pogba would accept the offer. I do believe he should seriously consider taking it.
Everyone seems to be talking about Pogba now that a €100 million contract is on the line. Who among us wouldnt be enticed by such a generous proposal? In my opinion, its a fantastic chance for him to make a name for himself and get paid for his abilities. Some have speculated that Pogba, considering his past there and his recent comeback from injury, could want to remain at Juventus. Its true that since leaving Manchester United, he hasnt yet found his rhythm with his new team. Who's to say, though, that a fresh start in a new place wouldnt reignite the flame? I believe it is time for Pogba to really contemplate a contract in Saudi Arabia. Think its funny that a life-changing professional choice is on the line here?
4562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 11, 2023, 07:39:44 PM

During Real Madrid's first training session yesterday, it was seen that Toni Kroos was mentoring the young players and it is hoped he will set a great veteran example for every young player in the generations to come. I think that not only Kroos but Modric will also do the same to help every young player at Real Madrid to develop more and when the games are difficult they have the winning mentality that has been passed down from a long time ago. Maybe that's why Real Madrid gave Kroos and Modric a contract extension as a companion for young players for the next season. Real Madrid knows very well what is needed at this time to improve the game of its young generation.
Real Madrid legends Kroos and Modric mentoring young players is inspirational. They have plenty of match and pressure experience. Real Madrid should prolong their contracts because they can mentor future players. This shouldnt overshadow the club's urgent need to strengthen its roster. Kroos and Modric can define the mentality and tactics, but they cant cover Benzema's front-line absence. Thus, Real Madrid must quickly sign top forwards. Despite Kroos and Modric's guidance, the club may struggle against competitive teams.

Even though his fate is increasingly unclear in the eyes of Erik Ten Hag, now Maguire is trying to correct his mistakes, especially when guarding Manchester United's defense. It was reported that he was taking private lessons with Carvalho, this was done so that Maguire would not lose his regular playing time in the Red Devils squad. I know Maguie often makes blunders, there are not even a few disputes on the field with De Gea. But there's nothing wrong if he really intends to fix it on the sidelines of a long holiday. Next season maybe he will no longer be part of the main squad. But at least Maguire has learned a lot that the competition to find the ideal place at Manchester United is not as easy as it used to be.

What do you think Maguire future looks like? is it still worth being a Manchester United player even if it's only as a reserve player?
Maguire has unfortunately failed to live up to the expectations at Manchester United. His leadership qualities have often been under question and the on-field disputes with De Gea have done no good to his reputation either. Now, we hear he's been training with Carvalho. Great news, right? However, it seems like a desperate attempt to save his career at United. Do we really think private training sessions could magically solve all his problems? Ten Hag might not even have him in his primary plans for the team. Is Maguire just going to be a third-choice defender? Thats quite a fall from grace, isnt it?

Last season did not seem like the right time for Tuchel to be able to bring Bayern Munich to the semifinals and he seemed to have full responsibility amid the difficult situation faced by Bayern Munich from securing the Bundesliga title and also the Champions League at the same time. I think any coach will find it very difficult to deal with this situation and like it or not, Tuchel must prioritize competitions with a better percentage to win and that is the Bundesliga trophy. But last season Tuchel also almost failed to defend the title if Dortmund did not lose in the last game against Mainz.

This time, as the ruler of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich cannot rely on luck anymore and they must focus on improving the existing squad. If they are still in the same situation next season, Bayern Munich may lose the Bundesliga title. For the champions league I don't think Bayern Munich has been able to live up to the public's expectations because it needs a better squad than now if they want to compete with Manchester City or Real Madrid.
Bayern Munich's first season under Tuchel was tough. He had local and European goals. Tuchel's management expected a treble, which may have been unrealistic.

However, Dortmund's final-match disaster helped Tuchel defend the Bundesliga title. The club cannot continue to rely on such luck. Bayern must bolster their roster in the summer transfer window to win. Failure to do so could cost them the Bundesliga championship and the Champions League.
4565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: July 11, 2023, 06:44:26 PM
[edited out]
Actually, a $10 per month is not totally poor for a student not from a buoyant background. But I feel if such person can devote time and learn trading, they can make $40 from the $10 within 3 months. Bitcoin might not give this in one year if bull run is not seen.

For sure, trading is bad advice for the vast majority and probably even the overwhelming majority (close to 90% of normal people --- aka normies)... It's like you are suggesting that since you are poor... learn how to gamble.  Fuck that nonsense.

Personally I believe that if you are poor then that is more reason why you need to be more conservative rather than choosing to enter into risk merely in order to try to beat the odds - when 90% or more of traders are not beating the market, and they specifically not beating some kind of a DCA technique.

Sure, you can try to supplement DCA with some advance techniques of buying on dips, but the core of the beginning positions is probably to be focusing on investing regularly and figuring out ways to build your BTC regularly.. and don't be fucking around with selling.. If you want more BTC, then you need to figure out various ways to buy more rather than selling in order to try to buy lower... and also fuck shitcoins, if you are suggesting to get involved in some kind of a shitcoin in order to increase your BTC stash.. that would mean that you are distracted, and you probably would be better off figuring out various side hustles to earn more money in order to buy more bitcoin to get yourself up to buying $100 per week of bitcoin rather than $10 per month of bitcoin.
You appear to understand trading well, pal. Yes, most traders dont beat the market. Trading, especially day trading, needs a lot of time, expertise, talent, and luck. This isnt possible for most "normies".

I'd advise against generalizing any transactions. While I agree that a conservative, DCA approach is usually optimal, especially for newbies and those with low finances, other investment techniques might be advantageous.

I'd also like to point out that your "shitcoin" stance is really binary. Altcoins with good fundamentals and large returns exist. Diversification can reduce risk even in crypto. Each investor should do their homework before investing.
4566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think at some point government will change its stand and adopt Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2023, 06:24:29 PM
All of these things may or may not happen. Because talking about bitcoin adoption, as we know, currently not many countries are willing to adopt bitcoin as currency or as a means of transaction.
Because there are many reasons that make bitcoin not so easily adopted by a country. Maybe due to legal issues in force in that country or about dislike of bitcoin assets. So speaking of that,it will be difficult indeed, to make bitcoin adoptable by certain countries "for now"

But it is possible that in the future bitcoin will be accepted by all countries in the world. Because as you mentioned, there are also people who didn't like bitcoin at first, but in the end these people can change and can really like bitcoin. So with this fact, the hope that bitcoin can be adopted by all existing countries is still very wide open and you could say that all of these things could happen.
Because basically want any argument or opinion, if it aims to disgrace bitcoin, I'm sure it definitely won't be able to. Because of bitcoin assets, you can say that they are very good assets and have great potential. So for example there are people who research bitcoin who initially want to find a loophole in bitcoin, but in the end change your mind and decide to like bitcoin, it can indeed happen. And that includes for a country as well.
Bitcoin's future as a global currency is debated. A universal cryptocurrency is appealing, but we must consider the consequences.

First, law. Bitcoin bypasses banks, but it's risky. It unleashes money laundering, black market trades, and tax evasion. Thus, while a Bitcoin utopia may be appealing, legal obstacles are huge.

Bitcoin may not be a "great asset" though. The currency's volatility makes it a dangerous investment. Bitcoin lacks consistency and stability, which economies need.

People's views about Bitcoin don't inevitably change governments' policies. Governments and individuals operate differently. A nation must prioritize economic stability above Bitcoin gambling. Bitcoin as a national currency is currently a political experiment.
4567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Country rankings in "Bitcoin friendliness" on: July 11, 2023, 02:53:13 PM

They are first countries make Bitcoin legal tender but they are not first countries where people use bitcoin. The hub of Bitcoin communities is in the USA, North America and Europe and it won't be shifted to other continents, countries too quickly.

Those two legal tender countries don't contribute too much on trading volume of Bitcoin as well as bitcoin transactions but we must appreciate their initiatives to make Bitcoin legal tender. By using legal tender stories from two nations, I want to say the same about Bitcoin friendly nations.

Asia isn't non-existent either. Take Singapore, for example, which is extremely BTC-friendly, or Thailand, where BTC is widely used.
Similarly, if you look at the number of Indian users who are involved in some way in BTC-related business (even if their regulations and laws are not specifically BTC-friendly, on the contrary), I don't think we should forget Asia. What's more, it's the biggest "market" in the world.

About El Salvador, what counts is not trading volume in my opinion. It doesn't really matter. What El Salvador brings, is confidence. By making BTC a legal tender, they gave a lot of people confidence that BTC was here to stay. Likewise, they're producing some excellent innovations in the BTC mining field, and I'm convinced that sooner or later, the lead they're taking will make them ideal advisors on how to run a business model that accepts Bitcoin on a great scale.
Asian countries do influence Bitcoin. Bitcoin's decentralization and portability make it appealing. Singapore and Thailand's hospitality may inspire neighbors.

India's crypto-renaissance is underway. The Indian Bitcoin community has persevered and innovated despite legislative uncertainty.

El Salvador: trustworthy? Right on! Trading volume is immaterial. By reducing barriers and building confidence, cryptocurrencies can become mainstream. The cryptocurrency business was shaped by El Salvador's legalization of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining has also improved. They appear to be creating a "crypto masterclass" for everyone. Blockchain technology could make societies more open, efficient, and egalitarian.
4568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why research is crucial to a good experience - Tips from a decade-old Bitcoiner on: July 11, 2023, 02:30:50 PM
Its the ultimate "shoulda, woulda, coulda" story, and lets face it: we've all been there. If I had a nickel for every time I made a mistake, I'd have a lot of Bitcoin by now.

You bring up individual investigation as though it were a silver bullet, but buddy, let's face it: not everyone has the expertise to evaluate market patterns or anticipate the next big coin. We'd all be crypto experts if that were the case.

I wont deny that your Bitcoin loss is painful. But hey, you got Call of Duty, so who comes out on top? (Don't take this seriously; I'm only kidding around!) Though, it is unfortunate, but as they say, hindsight is always 20/20.

You warn against investing in alternative cryptocurrencies, but isn't it like laying money on a long shot in a race involving a thousand horses? Bitcoin may be in the lead, but the swiftest runner doesn't necessarily come out on top. Which side of the coin will surprise us next? Give these "shitcoins" a chance and let's keep an open mind about them, shall we?
4569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive thoughts and attitude towards Bitcoin. on: July 11, 2023, 02:07:05 PM
Firstly, compliments to your forward-thinking and business spirit. I admire your drive and ambition that led you to first bootstrap your tiny farm and then go headfirst into the digital currency market. You should follow the road illuminated by the principle of prudent risk-taking.

Your confidence in Bitcoin mirrors mine. The blockchain technology that underpins Bitcoin has vast untapped potential. Its a novel method of guaranteeing openness and cutting out the need for intermediaries, not just a digital currency.

Concerning the possibility of risk , I agree wholeheartedly. Life is fraught with peril. In truth, life without any dangers would be boring and dull. So keep up your bold spirit and adventurous spirit! You're making smart moves, and I hope they pay out for you.
4570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, Not your coins" is not enough on: July 11, 2023, 01:47:24 PM
It is sad to see that people are still not 100% sure what they are doing and that means we are not going to see security in the crypto world all that often and not anytime soon. There are still a lot of people who keep on forgetting that crypto is a dangerous place and since the law is not on our side just yet, people who hack or steal or scam you "usually" do not get caught. Of course anyone who does it for a grand scale would be caught or at least looked for, there are people who stole millions, and those people will be searched.

However, someone who steals a few grand from someone in the crypto world will not be cared about at all, so you can't really trust anyone in this world and you need to be more careful than you probably should be.

The world of bitcoin is dangerous, but it also offers unprecedented security and transparency. Blockchain's immutability helps build confidence in trustless environments. Bitcoin proves it. Its not a scam-ridden sewer but a dynamic ecology thats altering money and trust.

Hackers and scammers are human nature, not crypto. They're anomalies. I see the crypto community as full of innovators and visionaries fighting to make the digital future safer and more secure. Small-scale thefts go unpunished in traditional banking systems too. Credit card fraud, identity theft, and phishing schemes are commonly ignored. Instead of condemning crypto, promote reform and legalization.
4571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 01:27:05 PM
If someone struggles with a gambling addiction, this person might need professional help. If not, an activity to substitute gambling can be good, but I don't think that investing in Bitcoin is a good option. Firstly, gambling is often about getting fast results, while Bitcoin investment isn't. You bet some money and get a fast result, learning whether you won or lost the bet. Then you do it over and over again. Buying Bitcoin like that, using small amounts and many iterations, can look as suspicious financial behaviour and cost a lot in fees. Also, there's no immediate result, as the price simply fluctuates.
Secondly, a big part of the problem with gambling is losing money, which is why I believe that investing in Bitcoin is a bad option. If a person is just buying and buying without being willing to sell, it's basically lost money. Not to mention that Bitcoin can be in the bear market for a long time.
Gambling and Bitcoin investment may be confused. Gambling is addicting, while Bitcoin investing is strategic. It demands knowledge of both blockchain and the financial world. Frequent minor investments raising suspicion and hefty costs can be minimized. Research and choosing a competent trading platform helps reduce these concerns. Bitcoin "losing money" may be oversimplified. Though unpredictable, the cryptocurrency market has seen huge long-term profits. Hodling, or holding Bitcoin, has often yielded large gains in crypto.
4572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the way to Prosperity for a Determined Dreamer on: July 11, 2023, 01:05:35 PM
It's going to take a very long term investment for someone who earns a very small amount of money to invest in Bitcoin, you can keep investing 50$ per month on Bitcoin for years to become a successful Bitcoin investor, because let's face reality, Bitcoin is not going to give you ten to twenty times your money, to ease your mind it's better target Bitcoin with good number of income if truly Bitcoin is your goal to financial freedom.

It's better to plan your retirement with Bitcoin because someone in your level will find it easier to do instead of someone who want to make life changing money through Bitcoin investment in 2025, it's not going to happen unless you have the money, like 40,000$, I am a realistic Bitcoin investor, I don't like receiving myself like many people, Bitcoin can only triple your money to maybe four times your money and that's it.

My advice is, target the long term if you are making too less money or simply start doing more jobs to invest a specific amount of money in Bitcoin per month, do not be deceived.
You say Bitcoin is a sluggish race for low-income people. Isnt Bitcoin's magic that? Its a long-term investment that can help low-earners build wealth. Bitcoin may not make you a fortune overnight, but remember the turtle and the hare. Its endurance, not speed. Bitcoin has survived many storms since its creation. This is worth gold - or Bitcoins - in investing! Bitcoin isnt everything. The real revolution is blockchain technology. Its like dismissing the mine that produced one gold piece. Finance, healthcare, and voting systems use blockchain technology. Isnt life exciting?
4573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Were you a bitcoin sign guy? The bitcoiner that photobombed the FED in 2017 on: July 11, 2023, 12:48:13 PM
Let's toast the Bitcoin sign guy, whose brave move delighted Bitcoiners. His charming interruption of Yellen's speech proved Bitcoin's mainstream status. I doubt Bitcoin will replace country dollars, but its possible.

Zimbabwe and Venezuela's currencies collapsed due to inflation and mismanagement, not cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is a viable option, but socio-economic factors must be considered. Bitcoin adoption in stable currencies requires major structural reforms.

Our Bitcoin sign guy earned 7BTC from the community, demonstrating decentralized financial power. It also raises the issue of wealth's impact on the community.
4574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 03:55:01 AM
At the core, it seems to be about replacing a high-risk activity (gambling) with another high-risk activity (cryptocurrency investment). Although, on the surface, both share similarities like the potential for big wins, they are inherently different in their operation and implications.

Bitcoin investment, unlike gambling, is not based purely on chance. It requires an understanding of economic principles, market trends, and risk management. While this knowledge can be acquired, the same personality traits that lead to compulsive gambling might exacerbate risky behaviors in cryptocurrency trading.

4575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 10, 2023, 10:46:15 AM
`

I agree with you, someone who gambles daily doesn't need to be an addict. Same goes for someone who gambles only one time a week, he doesn't have to be an addict but can be one depending on his habits. We need to look more closely at the time spent at the casino and how much of his money he his betting. If you gamble every day for 15 minutes for 2-3 dollars, than I wouldn't call you an addict. Losing a few bucks won't change much for you and you seem to be on control over your bankroll. And someone who gambles only one time per week for several hours and loses all his monthly salary in a single day should be called an addict in my opinion. Another factor to determine if we are addicted to gambling should be if we can take a break from it without thinking about it constantly. There are more aspects to an addiction than how often we are at the casino. In sports betting it's true that we have times of big tournaments, where we have big games almost every day and then we have summer breaks where are no games for several weeks. It's more interesting how well you are doing during these break periods and if you will switch to some new sports you never followed before only to place some bets. There are detailed tests for gambling addictions and it shouldn't come down to how many times you visit a casino per week.

I disagree with the widespread belief that a solitary indicator of addiction is the frequency with which one gambles or the total amount wagered. In reality, there is some gray area here. What about the person whose betting is modest but whose mind is constantly on the next wager? Or the person who goes all out once a week but considers gaming a fun, regulated diversion? I argue that the root of addiction is not just in the behavior but also in the psyche. Is there compulsive thinking, a need to play, or uneasiness when gambling is not involved? Addiction manifests itself in these ways.

Similarly, during the off-seasons for sports betting, a person may decide to switch sports not because of an irrational urge to wager, but rather because they enjoy the excitement of the unknown. That line separates an enthusiastic participant from an addicted one.
4576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 10, 2023, 10:24:26 AM
It's even crazy to think that you can keep winning until you recover all your losses at once. Even if you think you can come back the next day and recover your loss (of course, that's madness), you will never recover any loss; instead, you will even encounter more losses that day. If the gambler keeps repeating day after day with the thought of recovering every loss they have gambled off, then they will become addicted, like you said. In gambling, whatever is gambled off is gone; you will not get it back unless you manage to win hugely and then decide to leave, because if you don't, you will definitely lose everything again to the game. Those whose addictions don't harm anyone can continue until they realise themselves. It's really exhausting to talk a compulsive gambler out of his addictions.
It will not be recovered, still when today you have a big enough loss and then try tomorrow to come back just to recover then it is bad thinking because so easily they can recover the loss in yesterday's gambling, when it is clear that this will not happen, if you try continuously then what will happen is still a failure by losing a lot of money again, this is already a behavior for addicts because they continue to think with uncertainty.

In gambling should be more simple and fun, let's say you lose this then never try to bet again just rest your mind and can come back next time.
If it is big enough then go out and enjoy the money, don't be too greedy because if you are greedy in the end with a big win it will become a defeat again and he will regret it in the end.

Its a loop that falsely promises recovery after every loss. Filling a bottomless pit is useless and exhausting. Gambling is meant to be fun, not profitable. Thus, one must proceed cautiously. Gambling is full of thrills and unpredictability, so stay balanced.

Your greed observation is funny yet sobering. Greed often destroys people. Wisdom is knowing when to stop, not winning large. Lets cooperate and promote responsible gambling so everyone can enjoy the game without falling prey to its darker side.
4577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 10, 2023, 10:02:13 AM
..
Do you know why many people think that affiliate programs do not work and they are a waste of time! Because they tried it and failed to gain any profit from it.
They failed but this is not because those programs do not work, rather, it's because the don't know how to make them work.
Most of them share their links on popular groups, forums.. but they forget that most of the followers of those groups are not interested in gambling. They Wil simply skip your link and even if some of them will click on the link and register on the casino, only one or two will make a deposit.
But if you target a gambling community, even if it's smaller in numbers, then you will have better chances to get more loyal referrals
There is no assurance of financial gain while using affiliate marketing. Those who dismiss it as useless because of past failures are blind to the system's complexities. Spreading affiliate links around like wildfire is like an archer shooting blind and then blaming his bow when none of his arrows strike their objectives.

If the bow isnt producing the desired results, maybe the archer should rethink their technique instead of blaming the tool. True, the results of marketing to a group that isnt interested will be less than stellar. The outcomes will be much improved if you carefully target a smaller, engaged community. Still, if you only consider this aspect, you're missing out on something crucial: the offering's quality. No matter how favorable an audience may be toward a given category, conversion rates will remain low if the product or service itself fails to excite or convince them. Affiliate marketing success requires matching a desirable target demographic with a valuable product or service.
4578  Economy / Gambling / Re: What other gambling sites offers free bitcoins like freebitco on: July 10, 2023, 09:40:24 AM
I will not choose a gambling/bookmaker site if it's offering a "faucet".
They are focused to "another kind" of players... and probably their odds are not the best of the market Roll Eyes

in any case, it should be clear that there will be commissions to pay to make the withdrawal (and above all) when you have to spend you have to pay an additional commission (more outputs = higher commission).

Hours and hours spent clicking to get practically few cents or nothing.
You will not use a faucet to "earn"... there are other/better opportunities to maximize these earnings.
Your reasoning is unavoidable. Faucets are a deceptive way to attract players who may not have the money or knowledge to gamble responsibly. Its like offering free candy and then overcharging for the remainder.

Commissions are a genius revenue model. Watching folks click away for fractions of a penny while ignoring commission deductions is entertaining. Its like filling a holey bucket. Scrambling for every dime is humorously heartbreaking.

Better, less aggressive techniques to maximize earnings exist. Stay impartial and educated, not just dazzled by bright offerings
4579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: July 10, 2023, 09:13:14 AM
If someone claimed they have the right strategy for gambling and winning more times than losing, why can't they use the strategy for themselves and change their lives first?

Why did they go around looking for people to teach? This is why experience after following a friend to a gambling group on telegram, but I am not ready to take the step in any other their predictions..

My question for you my friends is are there sport betting groups that gives betting calls that are legit? Because I believe that if anyone knows a way to change their life around, they won't tell anyone, they will enjoy the moments and pray it last forever.

It would be wrong if one makes special comments about such gambling and thinks his strategy is correct for winning. Because no one can say whether gambling will win or lose it is very difficult to say but sometimes some predictions are correct. If a gambler could make a correct prediction, he would definitely bet more money to win in order to change his life. There are some people who are addicted to gambling but they go to different social media to consult people for better experience. There are many telegram groups where gambling predictions are made but very few are correct a wise experienced person can not always win by gambling he also faces losses. I haven't seen any telegram groups where betting calls are made on gambling or whether they are illegal. But if he stays there, he will never share his experiences, he will pray to himself to win the bet.
Seeking order when there is none usually ends badly for us because of our need to feel in charge. You make an excellent point that even seasoned gamblers can lose money. The house always wins since its a game of chance. In this context, following a specific technique or the advice of online communities in an effort to win at gambling is about as fruitful as trying to catch a cloud.

Its a sobering reality, but also a freeing one. By acknowledging the randomness of gambling, we can stop torturing ourselves to find a sure bet. What we can do instead is enjoy the ride for what it is: a brief reprieve from everyday life, not a means to financial security.
4580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 10, 2023, 08:48:58 AM
Quit gambling is always possible based on the person's mindset. He himself need to prepare his mind and find an alternate to keep himself focused whenever there arises some thoughts about gambling.
In my experience have a friend trying to quit gambling, it is quite difficult to do itself because his mind already heavily contaminated and can't quit without a psychiatrist. He spends his money and time until 100% quits. So if someone feel hard to do itself, just try to ask your friend or family, I really sure they can help you to get over it. Do not do itself if you can't do it, because it could be a misstep and more be addicted.
Addictions like gambling are difficult to overcome. From your account, your friend had to fight hard to break this habit. His resilience is admirable, but each person's fight is unique. While its great that he had family and friends, we must also remember that not everyone does.

Its not weak to seek expert help in such instances. The person's determination to recover their life is shown. Its not a last resort, but a crucial first step to rehabilitation. Self-compassion and patience are needed here.
