4561  Other / Off-topic / Re: BITCOIN TALK USERS MOSTLY ARE??? on: August 28, 2017, 04:10:30 AM
It is hard to point out what gender Bitcointalk users mostly are since there is really no demographics about it. Even if you register on a new account with Bitcointalk you won't see them asking what gender you are. Also you can barely see what gender they are based on their post because the way how males and females post are alike. Let us not make this a big issue because it is not important to Bitcoin as a whole.
4562  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how to get rewad faster in bitcointalk? on: August 27, 2017, 05:11:48 PM
If you are talking about getting paid in Bitcoin via signature campaign then there is no trick on having a big payday. What I meant about that is signature campaigns are structured to give the highest pay on the highest ranked members, you as a newbie member of this forum must have to wait in order to make your account a high ranking one. Also in that waiting process you must also try to improve your post quality so that you can be accepted in signature campaigns or avoid being removed in one.
4563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: August 27, 2017, 02:17:45 PM
I do not gamble to much but it always seems that when I do, I take the loss big time.  For example, I have lost over 3 BTC in the BustaBit game online.  It is fun and I like to play but I always get greedy with it.  I have won about 2.2 BTC back, but I lost more than what I have won.  For some odd reason, I keep coming back over and over.  I do not know why I do it, why do you?

Because gambling for most people is addiction, i know few people that can stop when are gambling, all the others cant stop and most of the time they lost all
If you cant stop when you have won, maybe you need do not gamble
Exactly because gambling inhibits an attraction if you earn from the start so you will keep on trying again your luck to win and that makes a people or a particular gambler going back .I don't believe like others say that they come back because of fun and entertainment that was only a false state of mind and being denial person.
Most of them would really deny it from the first time but if you do see on his actions we would able to say that hes really aiming for something which is on making money with gambling. This is the thing on which a gambler keeps coming back because on gambling its the easiest and the fastest way on making money but at the same time the fastest way to become poor.
Well I have experience it as well but I am glad that I came pass through it. When I gambled money the most fun part is when I am winning my bets as that is what all of us are aiming for winning and earning money, but when all fun is over due to losing bets I don't stop betting because my mind is set on the assumption that I will get my lost which never happened to me. So my only option was to stop betting at all because I realize that my  losses is to big to ever win in a bet.
4564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: August 27, 2017, 08:27:42 AM
Every investment has some risks.Bitcoin is also not an exception to it.Since bitcoin is a decentralized currency, there is no authority to give any assurance to its value. Its price either increases or decreases in proportion to increase and decrease in its price. But,we could see a steady increase in bitcoin price. Its getting legalized in many countries.Mass adoption is taking place all over the world. So,we could invest in bitcoin confidently on seeing its present markt conditions.
Well even if Bitcoin is now legal in where it was illegal before it does not stop Bitcoin being a risky investment, due to the reasons you have previously stated unlike any other Fiat Currency, Bitcoin is decentralized which no government has control over it meaning it will be more volatile than any other fiat currency as only Big players can influence the market with its movement. In order to avoid the risk in Bitcoin you must buy Bitcoin during a correction which is always a big dip on the price.
4565  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁 LOTTERY 🎁14 BILLIONTH BET🎁 on: August 26, 2017, 12:40:24 PM
Is there anything wrong with withdrawal? Because I never have any problem before with the withdrawal thing. I just make withdrawal last night and till today, I do not get anything on my wallet and this is more than 12 hours

I guess nothing wrong with withdrawal on Bitsler, most probably your withdrawal stuck on blockchain because the network is crowded. Check the unconfirmed transaction, there are more than 85k unconfrmed transactions. Dont you notice it?
Have you even checked the txid of your withdrawal?

I faced the same problem too but when I checked the transaction's id it looks normal. I have 180.347 sat/B as  fee per byte. And as you said, it must be caused by the high numbers of unconfirmed transaction.

the 180 sat/B is for transactions that choose the medium fee from the options in withdrawal. i just made one myself just to check this out. it is good for those who don't care about a fast confirmation and can wait. you can also always use an accelerator if you got impatient.

the interesting thing worth mentioning is that bitsler deducts only 40,000 satoshi as fee from you but the transaction that i currently have includes 120,600 satoshi fee (3 times more than what they took from me) Roll Eyes
Withdrawals are fast on the side of Bitsler, the problem here is the time it will take before it reflects in your wallet. Bitsler has no control when the transaction is now on the blockchain. If you are having trouble or impatient about your receiving the Bitcoin in your wallet you must have chosen the high priority withdrawal which is 60,000 satoshi a 20,000 difference from the normal priority which is reasonable.
4566  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 03:33:49 PM
I don't have kids at a moment but even in future when I will be having kids I will never teach them about bitcoins at that early age and will ask them to have fun in their childhood days and concentrate on their studies as I don't think that it would be an best time for them to introduce to bitcoins.

There is no need to hurry to tell the children about bitkoin. This is a complicated technology and they will not be able to fully understand it. And in general children should not be interested in the economy. It is better to start in high school.  Let children be children.
But having a kid has responsibilities. And on of the biggest renponsibility of any parent is insuringthst their kids will have a bright and good future. Investment is one of the ways that will make your kids have the right mind on being a financial expert, it is good to start them young and teach them how to save amd invest money later on they will understand Bitcoin easily after they get comfortable handling money.
4567  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: August 24, 2017, 12:58:07 PM
why should you do that. WE know that house and real estate can give you a good amount of money but dont you think that investing money in bitcoin will give you a greater profit? Since bitcoin is in the trend, keep following it and you will earn money
If he wants to buy a house I think that's not a big problem, after all having a home is also an investment because the house can be sold again and he will get his money back if he sells the house. Bitcoin can still be obtained anytime and anywhere you want.
Well I guess my theory is right that most people think Bitcoin as an "invesment" itself more than as a kind of "currency". Because we often see how fast it quickly move in prices. But let us not forget Bitcoin in the first place as a kind of currency, and if this guy wants to spend his Bitcoin to build a house it won't be a problem because Real Estate is an investment itself and to top it all of it is an immovable property which has physical features compared to Bitcoin which only exist virtually. It is actually protecting your future if you do so.
4568  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: August 24, 2017, 11:14:48 AM
we can't encourage them ! Just let it be !
We can actually. Well not by directly encouraging them by asking them to accept Bitcoin but they may soon accept Bitcoin if they see people going in their stores asking if they accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment. Often Business owners will see these kind of events as some kind of opportunity to increase their income and also their reputation. And I guess that is the best encouragement they would get from every customer entering their premises.
4569  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ LOTTERY 14 BILLIONTH BET on: August 24, 2017, 07:09:30 AM
Congrats to winner
I think with these daily lotteries we will achieve billionth bets more quickly, so great..
Btw will we see 0.0002btc withsraw fee again if transaction fees will be high like it is today? Or will there be only 0.0004 and 0.0006btc?
Currently confirmations sucks despite the fact that users pay high fee, so what about to make some deals with mining pools to accelerate transactions made by bitsler?

Yeah, lower transaction fees would be better.

you ARE paying low transaction fees already.
next time you pay 0.0004 or 0.0002 or whatever amount as fee from your account, check out your transaction ID in a block explorer and see how much fee it contains. you'd be surprised by how low a fee "you" paid and how big a fee "your transaction" is paying. and that goes out of bitsler's pocket.

@shield132 we will surely see it again if the mempool is smaller again. which may soon happen as the bitcoin cash hashrate drama has already ended.
As far as I know Bitsler is already shouldering a reasonable amount from your real transaction fee, the fees you see from low to high priority are from Bitsler's only.  People who mostly complain about the price of the transactions fees are gamblers who depend on faucet claims which we all know is only enough to entertain us but it is not for profit taking. If I were you i'll be depositing my money to play big games in Bitsler.
4570  Economy / Economics / Re: Pump and dump is the name of the game. on: August 23, 2017, 02:17:00 PM
In case you have not notice it is how really it is played out and it is not only happening to the cryptocurrency world but also in the stock market and as well as the foreign exchange. But I have to admit the pump and dump techniques happend often with the altcoin market because the prices of each altcoin is only based on demand it is not like a stock of a corporation in which you can analyze its fundamentals.
4571  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: August 23, 2017, 01:03:03 PM
Retailers will only start accepting it as a means of payment once government institutions start allowing it to be a medium of exchange. When a country notifies its citizens and tells them that they can now buy, sell, receive money in bitcoin then it would be accepted by others.
The funny thing in that statement is not even most of the countries in the world has classified Bitcoin as an illegal kind of currency. Yes it has a bad reputation and all but it didn't stop it from growing. Look at Bitcoin ATMs it exist even inside the malls in America. Also some countries just issue the warning about how many bad people are attracted to these kinds of assets in which they want us to be extra cautious in finding out if it is a scam or not. On a retailer's perspective I think that if not even 2 out of  my 10 customers going to the store are asking if we accept Bitcoin I won't change my system.
4572  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: August 23, 2017, 11:39:25 AM
The future of the paper money is definitely decreasing little by little as time goes by. People around the world is into using their online accounts using their bank accounts on it. I myself is doing that. It's future is not that clear for there ways on how to spend and acquire things for now. Everything evolves from the history of barter change, the use of coins, money, and now bitcoins. Amazing isn't it? How powerful the mind of each individual on earth to create new things and to reinvent amazing products.
Yes we get it we are now entering a world that is more virtual, more people are using mobile phones and are staying longer in their computer monitors. But it does not prove that Fiat currency won't be valuable anymore even if we are headed in a hi-tech world. Fiat currency is simply an essential thing that a person and a juridical entity can't live without. Still Bitcoin will be a kind of currency that will always depend on their Fiat Currency counterpart, without it they won't have any value at all in the first place.
4573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 23, 2017, 10:28:18 AM
While i certainly think that the trade worked out for both teams, Cleveland got the better hand here. Not only do they get a scorer whose offensive game is as potent as Kyrie's, but they also got a decent defender in Crowder.

However, Kyrie can now take Boston to the next level if he is take his offensive game up a notch . What do you guys think about Bostons offence now?

Quite good, the deal for both teams seems to be helpful and they are happy with the trade.

And for their offense, still we I can't have an insight about this thing until I watch the play of the new roster of Boston.

When it comes to defense, yes you said it Crowder is good at it.

I'm not sure though. It is really tempting if you're offered a player of kyrie's caliber but boston just came from a really good run last season with the core that they have now. I'm not sure how this trade is going to work out for them but definitely the cavs will benefit highly from this.
I just don't get what path the Boston Celtics want to take because they gave up the 1st pick and not drafting Markelle Fultz in what I thought including the fans of the Celtics that Isaiah Thomas was their long term Star Point Guard and now they are trading him away for Kyrie Irving along with Jae Crowder and a 1st Round pick from Brooklyn. I really hope they do know what path they are going because acquiring Gordon Hayward would be a waste for the team.
4574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What services you wanna see with Bitcoin ? on: August 23, 2017, 02:04:38 AM
Well for me converting Bitcoin to Fiat currency is enough, it is a good alternative rather than spending the tim and trouble of spending Bitcoin directly. But if I want a service that accepts Bitcoin, it could be the acceptance of Bitcoin in fast food deliveries as it is more convenient on receiving the food on tour doorsteps without putting your cash out. Bitcoin for me as of right now is more of an incestment rather than a currency.
4575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: August 22, 2017, 01:26:13 PM
Bitcoin isn’t only the new era of currency, it is the new currency. It is the only currency that you can hold and be assured of it increasing by the next day. So you see its not only the new currency, it is the new wealth maker.
It seems promising, that can make us rich, the fact that we often hear bitcoin can make rich people in a short time, I agree that bitcoin is a commodity rather than a new era of currency.
I don't think that a currency's main purpose is to make money out of it, a currency to be able be classified as one needs to be a form of medium of exchange for the most of people, right now they are seeing Bitcoin as a form of investment which Bondi Kompeni is correct. Also Bitcoi  to be able be even considered the new era of currency must be stable so that your income or expense does not become inaccurate.
4576  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: August 22, 2017, 12:53:19 PM
Bitcoin is better than fiat because the characteristics of Bitcoin is gives us a lot of benefits. Paper money is not appropriate for us any more.
Not appropriate? What are you even talking about? Even big corporations rely on their liquidity assets to have good credit, and you know what is the most liquid asset known to man? Yes and that is Fiat Currency without it there will be no new businesses booming. Fiat currency is still essential as it is a proof that you have cash on hand and anyone who are transacting a business will accept cash. Yes there are big benefits to when you use Bitcoin as a mode of payment but it does not necessarily make Fiat currency inappropriate.

Roll Number - Winners

Congratulations to all the winners!
A total of 0.555 Ƀitcoin was given out during our 14th - Billion Bets promotion!

Congratulations to the winners of the event as well, but look at those winners some of them won several times. These guys namely Bitsniper, Niap0630, Werigton, Soranith, and Juuraj3030 know hot to hit the lucky bet. I was wondering what the technique of this guys do because a lot of members won't even hit one lucky bet at this kind of promotions.

P.S. I did not miss out Tiagobank1 and Tiagodefinit it seems like these accounts are alt-accounts they also both have the same avatar and they won consecutively on the first 2 prizes.
4578  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully? on: August 22, 2017, 11:24:48 AM
Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully?  My guess is China...
Its impossible for this thing to happen on which a certain would decide to eliminate their local fiat currency switching fully into crypto. Its impossible to think of for this thing to happen because a local fiat is somehow shows the sovereignty of a certain country which it do shows its power and also theres no country would decide to make trade-ups on local fiat-crypto which means its really a complicated thing to think off.
I also think that it is impossible seeing that China is strongly against Bitcoin Mining I don't see that they will be the first country to operate in a Cryptocurrency only country. Also have you seen their population? Having at least a billion citizens in a country does not really help China become the first country to become paperless because it would take time for all of their citizens to fully understand Cryptocurrency, also the availability if the internet is also mandatory if your want to enter in that kind of implementation.
4579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: August 22, 2017, 10:06:28 AM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

I am sure that most of kids and adults don't know what bitcoin is, but that don't mean that it will be too hard for them to understand it. If they know paypal, just tell them that it is similar - virtual money. They don't have to know anything about blockchains and other confusing things.

Youngsters cant effectively comprehend what is bitcoin, whats the procedure, how it works. In any case, I think, the most straightforward approach to disclose bitcoin to youngsters that its an digital cash, monry on the web and demonstrates a few recordings how can it functions. Shows some video that youngsters can without much of a stretch get it

That's the point. I am sure that it would be hard to understand even for 13 year old kid, older ones might understand it more but not young ones. But like i said, they don't need to know that. They can use bitcoins even if they don't know how they work, while i am sure that they know or at least will understand what digital money is.
Additionally their minds are not not concentrated on things such as money yet, there is a great chance that they won't have the interest in learning what Bitcoin is because they might find it boring and hard to understand, look at subjects such as math and science this are the subjects in which most students flunk the most because it does not interest them. It is only when they have a self-realization on the importance of money and investment in which they will be interested about Bitcoin.
4580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: August 21, 2017, 03:02:06 PM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?

There are many bitcoin users tend to hold their bitcoin for different purposes but there is only one thing they want to . It is because if they hold it for now there is a big possibility that they can get it with high value in the future. As we all know bitcoin price is continuously rising therefore it is surely possible.
When you are saying "Critical Situation" I assume that kind of situation shows that Bitcoin prices had just gone into price correction. In these kind of situations traders and investors take advantage of the price being lower, at this moment they are actually creating a margin of safety in which they are buying Bitcoin in which just bottomed out and  the possibility of it getting lower than your purchased price is actually lower, decreasing your risk overall.
