Anyone else excited for the last day of the Japanese Sumo competition 'Haru Basho 2020' (Makuuchi Division)? I certainly am I've completely lost it lol send help. saw the option on FJ and decided to give it a shotFinal Day info: http://www.sumo.or.jp/EnHonbashoMain/torikumi/1/15/I'm going with a 4 fold acca: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FLnbGji9.png&t=663&c=8KITxm5GRdiaWQ) I'm expecting Aoiyama to keep up the good form (11 wins) even though he lost to Hakuho today, plus his opponent for tomorrow, Ishiura, seems to be in a slump (2 consecutive losses). My next pick is Hakuho as he's one the main favorites in the division (he's a legend in the sports so duh). Tomorrow he'll face no other than Kakuryu, a wrestler who's unbeaten in the last 8 matches. I'm going with the former tho, gotta respect the legends, y'know? Finally, I picked Asanoyama who's in better form than Takakeisho (only 2 wins in the last 5 matches). And let's trust Okinoumi can finish the competition with a positive record. @tomhawk9 I have never wagered on sumo wrestling before and I’m studying the tips that you have left here, but can you tell me how has your experience been so far wagering in sumo wrestling matches. Furthermore how are these matches yet going on aren’t they supposed to be suspended because of coronavirus, and are you 100% sure these matches won’t get suspended? then I may consider wagering a small amount just for fun.

Brave hodlers These peoples are the one still believe with the potential of cryptocurrency even the market now is dripping with blood. Ignoring the volatility and still relaxing while others are in state of confusion.
Not unless you are hodling Bitcoin still at a gain I wouldn't say that they are one of the wiser bunch of people in the crypto market. If you are hodling Bitcion in your portfolio at a loss now it only means that you are stuck with Bitcoin and have lose the opportunity to profit or at least short it before the bloodbath started, they are close to panic sellers who really don't have any strategies left but to hodly since they don't have any exit plans in place in times like this. @cryptoaddictchie I’m and always will be a brave holder as I have purchased bitcoins at various price ranges, and now I have a sick average hence I don’t need to indulge in panic sales. @Harlot for those people you have mentioned I would recommend them to buy bitcoins whenever it falls, and hodl it for the long term to get more profits from it.

We've always needed serious stuff, not vapourware stuff that won't materialize, not promises that bitcoin will do that and that and save humankind or anything else. [...]
What we need is [...] easy ways to buy stuff with BTC, easy ways to buy BTC to send and store, [...]
Anyhow, congratulations on achieving this, I hope the rest of the EU block follows!!!
I dare to say that THIS is exactly what I think as an easy way to buy and use your coins. What is better than a complete integration of Bitcoin in your mobile banking app? @stompix I’ll second that as bitcoin is a currency and it should be used like a currency, and I believe that the EU shall try and implement this once the virus starts to slow down. Holy hellening! THis is amazing news! Who would have thought, that in midst of a globally spread pandemic, something like this would happen. This might genuinely help the people in Italy who are having issues with sending or receiving money.
And please, please try to make this global, oh what I would do to trade, and exchange bitcoin within my bank account itself. oh.
@pugman indeed this news is like finding a pool of water in the sand, considering we’re only hearing bad news constantly from Italy and I too would love to use an app where my banking and bitcoin wallet is integrated.

^^^ Please check this one: China is not an exception. Similar to other countries, China was able to contain the outbreak only after it killed thousands of people. Check this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ft.com%2F__origami%2Fservice%2Fimage%2Fv2%2Fimages%2Fraw%2Fhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ft.com%252F__origami%252Fservice%252Fimage%252Fv2%252Fimages%252Fraw%252Fhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fcom.ft.imagepublish.upp-prod-us.s3.amazonaws.com%25252Fdedeacc6-6398-11ea-b3f3-fe4680ea68b5%253Ffit%253Dscale-down%2526source%253Dnext%2526width%253D700%3Ffit%3Dscale-down%26source%3Dnext%26width%3D700&t=663&c=Bq8Y5M6BjvhDHQ) The only countries which have successfully contained the outbreak are Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, as these countries took precautions from a very early stage. But the other countries were not that lucky. China implemented a draconian lockdown, which is not practical in other countries. @Visnu.Reang while I understand the economy of a country will take massive hit if they completely lock down, but under the given scenario all the countries in the world should lock down and save their citizens from this virus. It’s pertinent to note that US, India, UK and other countries reacted very late to this virus, and had they taken stringent actions in January this virus would never have spread so much. Majority of casinos are now closed but anyone here succeeded in inviting a friend to play online gambling now that casinos are close indefinitely, I'm sure a lot of gambling casinos are open to playing in online casinos at this current situation.
Talk to one of my gambling buddies here, but from the looks of it, I don't think that he is not that interested as of the moment though. Perhaps I needed some persuasions, he said that he doesn't have a desktop, I said that a mobile phone is ok. All he has to do is to buy some bitcoins and he is ok to go. So let's see, maybe I needed to let him see when I play online, he is a slot player, if I may add. @btc_angela I too am facing the same issue as my friends like land based casinos a lot, and suddenly asking them to switch to online casinos is a big task for me. However I’m not giving up and hopefully soon I’ll be able to convince them to start playing online, and to get them started I’m thinking of giving them few Satoshis so that they can get used to playing on online casinos.

These are three of the best races of the calendar. We all know the beauty of Monaco Gp and we also know that the Dutch Gp would have been a new addition to the calendar of F1 this year.As for the Spanish Gp it is one of the most iconic races of F1 and also of the MotoGp.These are sad news but health above all. I’m glad to know that F1 has finally decided to postpone their races though as a fan it feels sad, but as you’ll have rightly said health is more important than the sport. There’s one breaking news too not sure if you’ll have seen or no where it’s claimed that Wolff exit will clear the path for Hamilton to join Ferrari. What are your views on it will we finally see him make the switch or just another baseless rumour?. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/formulaone/article-8132319/Lewis-Hamiltons-Mercedes-future-doubt-Toto-Wolff-misses-F1-call.html

This might be a tough decision but coming from the angle of what will make the altcoin grow faster depends on the team. That is, if the team have been giving reasons why investors should hold on during thus trying times then I think once the market starts recovering the altcoin will be growing. So in my own opinion, BNB is a good one; as we can see the team aren't relenting instead they keep pushing further for more growth. ETH on the other hand being the top altcoin will also be a good one to buy because for sure it will grow in price. Neo and XLM are other ones to look into as they have what it takes to grow.
There is no universal answer to this question as each one will have a different criteria for selecting their favourite alt coin, and in my personal opinion after studying the answers out here you should do your own research too. Lastly my favourite alt coin has been ETH because time and time again it has shown positive movements in the long run, and therefore I keep recommending people to buy ETH and hodl it for the long term. ^^ For the record, its back-up plan with condition apply * If everything calms down, if not then no IPL
And IMO they have every right to get ready for any possible scenario, considering the fact IPL alone create 1000s of job every year.
As we know the T20 world cup is played later this year in Australia and right now the AFL is going ahead as they don't want to clash with the world cup so its going to be interesting to see what happens if the AFL is stopped due to the virus and what will happen with the T20 world cup as it might be pushed back which in a way should be okay as it will be the start of the Australian summer. @JSRAW you’re right as IPL authorities are within their rights to prepare for the tournament, because if the virus issues ease then their backup plan can be put in action. @vella85 I feel the situation shall normalise before the T20 World Cup starts, otherwise we will be starring at the possibility of missing out on watching the T20 World Cup which will be really sad.

Why not lockdown the thread for a while
without any actual football to discuss
I guess if people are in self isolation they enjoy chatting about the football, just general football chat. April 30th is when the league plans to start again any way. Its mean this time we have very short break with next season start in August and this is going to end in July likely if we have start again. I don’t think locking this thread down is such a great idea, instead we should now focus on discussing what this season now holds for us. I’m referring to the following: 1) Liverpool will finally win a Premier League title, (but they’ll never be as great as Manchester United is.) 2) Manchester United finishes in top 4, and that means Sancho is coming and I’m pretty excited for his arrival. 3) Last and most importantly what happens to City if their ban is not over ruled therefore you’ll see we have so much to discuss till the league resumes again. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1257480/Manchester-United-transfer-news-Jadon-Sancho-Ole-Gunnar-Solskjaer-tactic

“Dump then [the] moon,” he tweeted. “We are undergoing flight to safety right now, BTC is looking for its bottom. But know that once the bottom is in there are strong bullish pressures ahead. It’s this economic environment in the years ahead that Bitcoin was built for.”
The above tweet was tweeted by Willy Woo who’s an analyst, and according to the author he had correctly predicted that bitcoin prices will crash. Willy Woo, an on-chain analyst who in 2018 forecasted that investors would unwind their leveraged bitcoin positions to seek safety in the US dollar, says the cryptocurrency is looking for a bottom.
Now the same analyst believes that bitcoin prices are bound to shoot upwards, and I’m hoping his prediction comes true like the last one did. What are your thoughts on his predictions, and I’ll be honest I normally don’t like to believe what analysts generally have to say, but I’m trusting my gut and believing in his prediction. LATEST UPDATE:
Sanders has 885 delegates Biden has 1180 delegates
Biden wins Florida, Illinois and Arizona and with a huge lead it appears he will be reaching the 1991 delegates number first if the race continued.
Sanders is facing calls for him to drop out to give Biden the chance to start working on the November Presidential elections preparation now.
This is literally the end of this. Biden is going to win (bar some sort of illness, major scandal, etc) The only reason I see Sanders staying in is to be able to get something out of the administration, or to get Biden to change certain policies that he'll implement and he can tell his supporters he did something. Sanders (IMO) is a little too old to be running for President again, so this is probably his last chance. He probably is hoping for some sort of extraordinary circumstances to help him out here. Or a cabinet role, like I said before. VP is off the table, as Biden has said that HE WILL pick a woman to be his VP. @squatz1 I’ll second that as I too believe that Sanders campaign is coming to an end, but he has earned my respect for fighting for so long despite knowing that the entire party was always rallying against him. Now I believe he’ll bow out soon and the entire party will rally behind Biden, and if Biden can get Sanders on board then Trump will have a major problem to deal with. What do you’ll think of this Biden and Sanders reach some kind of compromise, and they attack Trump together won’t it hurt Trump’s vote share?. https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/51930214we will have RG as last grand slam this year, since it is delayed for the end of September, from 20nd till 4th of October, just one week after US Open, it clashes with Laver cup, but there was not other spare dates, and French federation do not want to cancel it since Laver cup is promoted by Nadal, he could miss RG due to his contract obligations, so tournament will be without the king, doubt that it will happen, but RG decided new dates without consultation https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/mar/17/french-open-tennis-postponed-until-late-september-due-to-coronavirus Ok, but the schedule is messed up right now, one week break for tennis athletes though is nothing so I guess they can re-adjust with the grueling schedule this year. I think we will see minor tournaments being cancelled totally this year, to give way to bigger tournaments of them all, the Grand Slam. I think Nadal has no choice but to go with Laver Cup, but let's see how it goes, maybe tournaments official will have to work out so that there will be no conflicting schedules. I can’t believe how messed up the schedule has got as players will barely get time to recover, and many players will now have to play in selective tournaments only to keep themselves fit, which will dilute the competitiveness in these tournaments. As far as Nadal is concerned we will have to wait and see what he chooses, but I don’t expect him to participate in both the tournaments due to the various injuries he has suffered in the past, therefore he’ll be forced to play in limited tournaments only. Patience is the only thing we can have right now that will help us. We have no idea what will happen until next year. However if olympics joins this as well, we may actually end up with a summer league all of its own by the national leagues. Think about it, there will be nothing this summer if olympics goes as well, this one already postponed. So if by may or june we get better and there is treatment and everything is back on track, maybe there could be leagues again. It is still risky, if this happened back in november or something we could have shortened leagues but it is march already, so I don't know if we have enough time left. However no matter what happens this postponing was a great idea.
@Captain Corporate sadly we have no other option but to wait and see if the Olympics will be postponed or no, but at the moment Japan is determined that it’ll not postpone the Olympics event. It’s also pertinent to note that we have no information available yet, whether various league will be able complete their season or no as this virus is refusing to slow down, and to protect fans and players it’s quite possible that this season may be called off in various leagues. I gather that parliament is likely to pass an act in the near future, and this will attempt to force people over 70 to lock themselves in their homes. Well I'm 78, and they can shove that act up their fundament. It's over 50 years since I had any illness other than a one day cold, and I reckon that I have a lower risk for the CV than the fat lumps that need a walking stick to get from their cars to the surgery.
The only reason that they are targeting older people is that they have screwed up their health with statins, vaccinations and other poisons. Hopefully we can get some sensible statistical analysis about so called health care soon, and then we can move forward and benefit from the wealth of knowledge we have learnt about the workings of the body and its immune system. It has kept us going for a few milliion years, so it must have worked out the benefits.
@Jet Cash it’s kind of difficult to be angry at the UK parliament for this upcoming rule, because if at some stage the virus spreads due to 70+ year old citizens getting infected then the UK people will blame the government for not taking a stand, but on the other hand I don’t completely support this decision too. As I’m not a citizen of the UK I don’t know how grave the situation is with 70 year old people in your country, but I sincerely hope that your government can find a way to quarantine only the sick seniors, and allow other fit seniors to live their life normally.

Not almost all the sporting events are off so there is nothing for us to play on the sports side. Do you think the virus will affect the online gambling industry as well? Because people really fighting in life for foods and staying safe in most of the countries and some countries there is no such issues so IMO the revenue of online gambling will also be affected in the chaos what's your opinion on it?
@plast555 yea we will have to wait till April to find out if all sports will resume or no, and if they don’t it’s going to be a long wait because no one knows when they’ll resume again. Also I don’t think the online gambling industry will suffer any losses as people will wager on dice or blackjack, but land based casinos will definitely suffer losses. Can we expect to see some spectacular transfers this summer? mostly because of Coronavirus.
After the Manchester City ban, I am waiting to see how many players get off the team. I am actually thinking of some big names especially De bruyne and Sterling. There were also some rumours of Pep being at Juventus next. What do you guys think? BTW Real Madrid are targeting Liverpool winger Sadio Mane. I don't think that Mane will be interested in joining Madrid. He is doing so well at Liverpool. What do you guys think about that. I do think that Manchester city appeal for the ban to be overturned will be delayed by the virus, which needs to be contained sooner. While sterling has reiterated his wishes to continue at city irrespective of whatever happens. I do not think Madrid are targeting Mane, i think Madrid core target is PSG Mbappe, which will fill the missing void in Madrid's attack My bet is also on Mbappe or even Erling Braut Håland in a couple of years since they are much younger as compared to Mane or Salah. They have lots of players they first need to get rid of that can position on the left side or right side of the attack. So buying Mane or Salah when they just acquired Hazard and still have Vinicious, Bale, Rodrygo, Lucas, Rodriguez would make no sense
Manchester City’s important players have already confirmed that they won’t be leaving the club because of the ban, but there’re various rumours online which state that Mahrez will be sold at the end of the season. @JeromeTash I’m not surprised to see that Real Madrid is targeting Mane as he’s a proven serial winner, and he’ll be cheaper alternative in comparison to Mbappe or Halland. Next week they will have a meeting and they probably delay the EURO to winter or more likely to summer 2021. Leagues as Serie A and probably more asked to EUFA a dealy to be able to play games in summer cause the current Virus Situation.
I think we have 0% chances at the moment to see the EURO 2020 in July.
I still don't think that the postponement is going to be the right decision. We don't know if things are going to be improved in the next year or during winter 2021. Scientists claim that coronavirus is here to stay and can be transmitted from person to person even during the hot days. @Naida_BR so according to you we should force the players to play, and disregard the safety measures in place?, and secondly force the players to play behind closed doors which is horrible for a player and a fan. Therefore I would strongly disagree with your view that the tournament should not be postponed, as players and fans safety is the most important thing and hence in I believe that this tournament should be postponed.
