4583  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] a-ads.com: buy ads, monetize your traffic, refer advertisers and earn 50% on: June 20, 2015, 08:06:03 AM
About the new update where advertisers can bid on blocks with min 1000 satoshis per day, is it possible if the publishers set the min bid themselves? Might be better for both parties. Tongue

Is it possible if you make an account for everyone instead, such that all the earnings from the publishers ad block goes into that main account, with an auto withdrawal feature enabled? (Different from depositing everything into the advertiser campaign) This would also help because if you put multiple ad blocks on a site you might not earn alot for the second one and it would take a long time/forever to reach the minimum withdrawal.

Also give some 'consolation' prize for displaying ads too for publishers, even when there are no active bids/campaigns if possible too! Cheesy

I second the idea for account-based totals. I had separate ads set up depending on the site, and I ran into the issue where the earnings are too low to get payouts. Having them all funnel to one account would be a huge benefit.

Can I be re-added, please? I had to drop temporarily but I'm good to go now! And an odd situation: I'm not getting the text messages from Bit-X anymore. Never had an issue with this...

Thanks!

You may reapply through the bot Smiley. Please try the call me option and enable Google Authenticator if you'd prefer.

Thanks! I had tried earlier and it said "not active" and showed the link to this thread. This time it worked though.
4585  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising - FREE 0.01 BTC OFFER on: June 20, 2015, 06:05:18 AM
So here's my stats as of 3 days in:

Unique Views: 30,204
All Clicks: 15
Unique Clicks: 14

So essentially 1/3 of the total views are unique (actually more than expected, for faucets): A+
Clicks accounted for about 0.02% of the views

Some things to note:

1) I used a pure text ad, seen below:

2) This was with a payment amount of 0.001 BTC/day. So essentially it came out to 5 clicks per mBTC (0.0002 BTC per click). And 10k unique views per mBTC (0.0001 BTC per 1k unique views), or 30k views per mBTC (0.000033 BTC per 1k views)

3) Users aren't being paid to click the sites, so the above cost is for 100% interested users -- not fake visits

4) My campaign (at 0.001/day) is still active, so there are more views/clicks on top of the ones I listed above

5) With more advertisers, I think the view count may drop on a cost basis, so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out

All in all, I'm very impressed with the results so far!

Do note, advertisers, that your ad itself matters more than the site it's on. If your ad isn't compelling to users, they aren't going to click it no matter how many times they see it. With a better ad, my results would be significantly better.

Not to mention... if you follow the posts, he seems to have no grasp of.... ANYTHING. I highly doubt anyone is truly this ignorant. He's just trolling for lulz.

probably owned by an account farmer Tongue

Also possible. It's sad that admins actually condone people selling accounts. In the crypto world the ONLY thing we have is our reputation, and they are degrading it by allowing people to "farm" reputation and then sell it to others. And then people wonder why there's so many scams here. It's because for whatever reason, that's what the community WANTS -- a shitload of scammers.

Great site. I wish you luck with your service.

Thanks! I'm taking it a little slow ATM, evaluating each site before it's added. The goal is to get the most reputable sites on it, and then keep the list pruned (i.e. as a site goes offline/turns questionable, it will be flagged in the list as such). So it's not just going to be a list of services *today*, but also a sort of historical list, if that makes any sense.

4591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forget about Faucets - share your own Videos and stuff for BTC / BitTorrent... on: June 19, 2015, 07:35:51 PM
Forget about faucets? I've forgotten them for a few months! I've thought that I could earn 1 BTC from faucets, but I can't. Now I am using signature campaigns to earn BTC and the earnings is as high as 100x that I can earn from faucet.
BTW I don't have videos for sharing show I can't earn BTC from that Sad

I want to point out that the rollin BTC faucet isn't too bad, because you can set up a martingale after claiming and build it up while you do other things. Get it up to 1mBTC and you can cash out. And as you do this more, you get up to where you can get 0.2 mBTC per claim (which is very easy to get built up from). It's not as profitable as a signature campaign is, but it requires a lot less work and you can do both.
It is just like faucet at dadice and primedice. 500 satoshi per claim (1/10 of a cent) isn't too much. Also dadice's faucet can also build up to 12500 satoshis, while they have a positive expected value jackpot if you deposit bitcoins to them (even just a small amount). The average earning is 3-4 satoshis per second, with just an initial setting needed, and the rest will be proceed automatically. That is, you earn BTC for just letting your computer open (or doing other work like web browsing etc.).

With Rollin you go up to 0.2 mBTC per claim. It's pretty easy to build that up too.
4592  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC launches fixed term deposit account on: June 19, 2015, 12:23:19 PM
So let me get this right.

If I invest 40btc, 12% p.a = 4.8 (I know it rises over time)
So for 1 whole year I get 4.8bt out of 40.
Means monthly I should earn 0.4btc profit.

Seems a big risk for little reward...

Out of curiosity, what kind of interest rate do you think will justify the risk?

That's a pretty heated question, and it's really tough. It's really a balance between what's viable and what's worth risking, and it's hard to see what that amount is. It's important to keep in mind that cryptos are still young, and the majority of sites don't even last a year. This puts anything crypto-related in a high-risk category. The problem is paying out too much would put the business at risk.

I'm personally happy with whatever keeps the business going. To me, 1% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

i think this project is going to encounter a lot of problems with copyright materials.
there is a lot of fuss going on about torrents as it is and copyright. the moment torrent starts to monetize copyrighted materials i think there is going to be a shit-storm of lawsuits.

This is my issue exactly. Most people that need seeders need them for copyrighted material. A ton of people in the U.S. are getting C&D orders as of lately, and that makes this highly risky. It'd be nice if there were at least separations for those that are illegal and those that aren't so some of us can help seed the legal material.
i just want to mention that The four operators of the pirate bay website were convicted by Stockholm district court on 17 April 2009 and sentenced to one year in jail each and a total of approximately US$3.5 million in fines and damages. complete incident.

not to mention the raids and arrests that have been maid of these companies and servers. Link.

More Incidents

also i have heard that you can encounter serious problems with your ISP if you are using torrent services and downloading/sharing copyrighted materials. (i know this from users on /r/torrents and /r/piracy not personal experience)

after all people are still using all of that stuff and going to keep using them ...

In the U.S. it's definitely a big risk. I was downloading (I wasn't even seeding) a 7-year-old TV show that never went to DVD and isn't available for streaming/isn't on TV/etc. Started downloading the show, and 3 days later I got 4 letters from my ISP detailing the exact episodes I was downloading, when they were started, who holds the copyright, etc. and got a warning that if it happened again, I'd be permanently barred from using the ISP again in the future.

I got hit by a second ISP a year later for the same thing (a completely different show -- also not available on DVD or elsewhere), detailing the same stuff.

I quit that altogether. And it sucks because I wasn't downloading them to steal -- I was doing it because when there's not even an alternative available... there's no real choice. I can understand being upset about movies, games, etc. But I don't think that if something isn't even being published anymore, it should still be illegal -- the publishers can't get money off it regardless when they aren't showing it/selling it. This makes it a victim-less crime, as they can't even claim lost revenue.

In any case, being hit by both major ISPs that are local to me made me stop it completely. I'd gladly help seed legal material, though. Even having a flag on the torrents (sort of like how some places put NSFW on some of their posts) would be a great asset.

An issue with those stats is they don't show who clicked anything. You could constitute 100% of those clicks or 0%. Nobody knows.

And what I see there is that over 50% of them are clicked once a day or less (total). Considering people go to your site for the faucet list, this helps answer a lot about whether the traffic is real or not.

Thats not issue, you click on the magnifier icon next to the link and you see the country and IP they clicked from.

You just dont think i stay there all day clicking my own links? While also changing the proxy to have new IP always?

Those are bullshit excuses, i`m really tired of people just bullshitting here and all the negative talk and excuses. You either advertise or you dont, so stop making excuses.

You linked to a system that we can't access... I'm not sure how you expect us to see all your stats when you're the only one with the username and password. All we can see is exactly what's in that image. I'm going to drop out of this thread now, as the ignorance is showing that you're highly incapable of running a site effectively. For future reference, either share actual stats (don't just post a screenshot and expect us to guess your username and password so we can explore more) or share the login information.

And I advertise on many platforms. But that's because the owners don't keep trying to hide their stats -- normally I wouldn't even waste this much time trying to get someone to show something that actually matters.

Google analytics report?

I dont use google analytics its too complicated and sometimes not very accurate.  Google analytics counts in crawlets, bots and other junk visitors sometimes.

No google no trust. Thanks anyways.

I think he means the analytics themselves.

Anyways, it's more accurate than Blogger or any other platform solely BECAUSE it ignores bots. On my site, for example, I have ~15000 bot hits per day due to being scanned/indexed constantly. Analytics automatically ignores those.

Well i`m not going to use analytics because its too complicated and its already too late, it needs 2 weeks before i can show any proof.

But here is irrefutable proof:
http://statcounter.com/p10441849/exit_link/

Set that to lets say June 12- June 18, and you will see many clicks. I`ve renewed my faucet list so you will see many links there that arent on my website. I renewed it on June 12.

So only look for the period June 12 until today, and you will see

I`m pretty sure bots dont click on all these links Smiley So my traffic is genuine.

4598  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Magnr - World's First Bitcoin Savings Account on: June 18, 2015, 03:53:12 PM
Yes. As stated for the third time, the interest comes from the trading fees Cheesy
Well, it's not explicitly stated in the OP that you use trading fees, just that the interest rate differs based on the activity of your exchange, so I kinda get the confusion. It is explicitly stated on your website, but not everything reads that.

Anyway, this seems pretty cool and I might give it a shot.

Hi its Joe here, founder of BTC.sx.

Our intention is to make this as transparent as possible. On-blockchain calculations for deposit and interest calculations are part of the way we are doing this.

By offering this service our goal is to build more reputable financial services for Bitcoin. My hope is that this is just the beginning of a much wider movement.

So what you're saying is that this isn't for profit, right? You're JUST doing this to help progress Bitcoin?
The benefits we gain from Magnr are increased publicity and awareness. We are currently considering various options to monetize Magnr in the future. Our business model ensures that for every one bitcoin deposited, at least one bitcoin can be withdrawn.

Got it. I do worry about losing BTC due to a hack, though (especially with just how many sites ARE being hit). Is there any special precaution that's being taken to keep this from happening? And is there any insurance on the deposits, in case something does happen?
4599  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising - FREE 0.01 BTC OFFER on: June 18, 2015, 08:54:14 AM

Just did. That's also not too clear, btw. You have to go into the edit menu YET AGAIN to set a campaign. Ideally, the text on the dashboard should be a bit more intuitive. So let's say:

"Needs Approval" -> links to approval option
"Approved: Ready for Campaign" -> links to campaign setup

As it is, people have to keep going back to edit, but the options there change after each thing is done (i.e., the edit should just be for editing the ad. It shouldn't keep updating for the other options like submitting for approval and then again for starting a campaign).

Great feedback. And I agree with what you are saying, it isn't very intuitive.
I'll have a look at getting this changed

Thanks! And if you guys are interested on taking on another person to help get this service out there/known, I might be willing to join your team, Smiley. This is one of the few projects I can directly relate to, and I do PR already for my own projects.

It's been a few hours and my ad still says "approval required." How long does this normally take?

I'm not seeing it at my end, did you click the Submit For Approval button?

Not seeing anywhere to do this. Image below:

Ok, click on the Edit button on the right hand side. Then you should see the Submit For Approval button.
I'll may some changes to make this a bit more obvious - I can see why you were confused!

Yep. After I posted the last message I appended it (as I clicked edit) to add:

Quote
Edit: you have to go back into the edit menu to see it. You really should link "Approval required" to the approval system.

Looks like we're both on the same page with that, Smiley.

Great Smiley

I've approved your advert now, so you can use it for a campaign!
