4581  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: June 30, 2021, 10:29:43 AM
Yes, and also - the mentality of a poor man, very often leads people to crime. For some reason, they believe that the criminal way of earning income is easier, more effective than, for example, starting to study, getting an education, and becoming, for example, a doctor, programmer, engineer, or starting a business. It is easier to sell illegal drugs, rob, steal, than think, make responsible decisions ...
Wrong, the people who do crime because of poverty is desperate, if you give them a job, I am pretty sure that they will stop doing crimes. What we lack in this world is the opportunity to get jobs that will help us get money legally and in a clean way. Blaming them for being poor won't help their status.

Opportunity is really what people need that are not born rich. Most crimes are because of not equal opportunity to have a job or to earn a stable income. Rich people become richer because they can always dive to a new opportunity they want while poor or middle-class people are afraid to try new stuff because they don't earn that much. There are also rich people who prevent giving help to other people rise from poverty is because they fear that someday they would be more successful than them. Only a few are willing to help and be proud for someone to reach their level.
4582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: June 30, 2021, 06:40:20 AM
What's the purpose of investing or buying bitcoin if we are not planning to sell it forever? I think all of us invested in bitcoin mainly because of its profit potential in the future, paying taxes is not that important for small investors. If everyone will just hold bitcoin for the purpose of putting it on platforms like Block Fi then the market will not be balanced. No one will just hold their bitcoin, there is always someone that will sell to take profit or when there are fuds spreading about it.
4583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Million dollar win on $15 parlay whoa on: June 30, 2021, 03:48:44 AM
Quote
"I thought I was going to have a heart attack when the winning putt went in. I couldn't believe it."

That is a quote from the winner of parlay and I think everyone would have a heart attack if they won that kind of amount with just their small amount of money. I read the article and the winner was really a golf enthusiast, he was confident with his 3 bets and only doubt the last. He deserves it and I hope he spends his winnings properly. Sportsbetting is really fun especially if you are really a fan of the game you're betting. Winning from it is an achievement that you won't forget.
4584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recognizing Gambling Disorders, Symptoms of Severe Gambling Addiction on: June 30, 2021, 03:01:14 AM
I hate friends who are an addict on gambling because as a responsible gambler myself I have seen how gambling can ruin one man's future and reputation, I will them him right away to stop and get professional help if he doesn't listen then it's no use to continue our friendship, I hate to see a friend ruining his life because of gambling.
We, as their friends, need to remind them not to play gambling too often and explain how dangerous it is for a long time. A friend must do that for their friend because we do not want to see them become an addicted person to gambling. And if somehow, they have trouble gambling, we need to help them get out from gambling as soon as possible before something worst happens to them. If they still want to play gambling, we must remain them to be responsible gamblers and if it is necessary, we can stay beside them and watch their playing gambling so we can tell them that is enough to playing gambling.

It's hard to stay on their side and keep them reminding about their gambling habit if they don't listen to you at all. Sometimes these addicted friends get annoyed to us when we remind them, they tell us that it is their money that they are spending so we shouldn't interfere with their gambling. They don't hear and realized what we are saying to them when their habit gets worse so for me when this happens it is still better to consult a specialist to assist our friend to get out of his gambling addiction.
4585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terms and condition a must read before signing up any online gambling site on: June 29, 2021, 05:31:16 AM
This is really important if you will gamble a large amount on that platform. Knowing your rights as a user will protect you incase they lock your account for some unknown reason and also for you to help avoid some violations. Some websites lock their user's account when they see that you win a huge amount, they will ask you something that will expose your privacy. Even if you submit a legal document they want, they still won't verify your account to withraw your profit from their platform.
4586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My evolution to playing on Bitcoin casinos on: June 28, 2021, 12:40:45 PM
I feel going through the terms and conditions of an online casino before filling them should be considered most before thinking of using their platform to gamble a who lot of gambling sites have issues with withdraw and make the process frustrating. It's wiser not to jump into casino sites without properly going through it's terms and conditions

Not only terms and conditions but reviews and updates on their channel the best is to pin their telegram group and channel because this is where you will get any changes from their TOS and updates, upgrades, and maintenance, withdrawal big amount is always been the issue on most gambling site, you should always ready to go through what is being asked it's expected to clarify that your account is clean.

A regular gambler who plays with a lot of money should definitely do it. But if you use gambling for recreational purposes than this could  be too much. Especially if we gamble on multiple casino sites than it becomes a lot of reading to stay up to date. Most casinos have an update atleast once every second week. I think it all comes down to how much time we spent gambling.

Most of them have Twitter accounts so following those is already enough to keep up to date on their platform. There is no need to join their telegram channel even if it is an official channel as most often this is a hotspot for scammers. Anyone can fake the mods or devs there to scam someone. If you need of help it is always better to contact their support directly on their platform. I haven't heard of any gambling platform that has their telegram channel until now.
4587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: June 28, 2021, 11:08:58 AM
As long as they are anonymous, it is always possible for them to make an exit scam anytime. I already saw many platforms not just gambling made an exit scam even though they were already operating for few years. I think the reason why some well-established companies do this is either they are bankrupt or that is really their motive since the beginning so they can take more money from the people who trust them.

It won't make sense to pay someone to spread false news to a competitor's platform because there are a lot of users who can verify if that is really true, I don't think a new platform would spend that much money paying people just to make their platform better.
4588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your trading strategies ? on: June 24, 2021, 05:00:59 PM
How do you trade ? Does someone has reliable info on the strategies of the most successful solo traders ?

The most basic I always see is you wait to buy at support then sell it near its resistance which is the only strategy I know and can understand. I often do this at 15mins or 1hr timeframe and so far its effective for me. Haven't tried it on longer timeframes as price fluctuations on those can be wide. Each of us has its own strategy in trading that we find effective, as long as that strategy works for us I think there is no need to do or copy the strategy of other people. If we keep sticking to the strategy of others then we might not learn anything from trading.
4589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daytrading vs Holding on: June 24, 2021, 04:15:17 PM
Not all are able to concentrate watching the crypto market and able to do daytrading. Sure that you can gain more profit from daytrading than holding but there are many factors that some people still prefer to hold. As for me, I have a weak emotion in trading and doesn't really understand to read candlesticks and charts which makes it difficult for people like me to daytrade. We can lose money if the market doesn't go the way we want. Unlike holding, we just wait for a year or more to take profit
4590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make your HODL or dump decisions? on: June 24, 2021, 03:31:19 PM
I've been holding this token called 'SUBX' for a while now, maybe a month. Quite a big bag of it. I'm not sure if I should continue holding or let go and take what i have.

Found the token on coingecko and saw their website there. All I can say is it is almost the same with the deflationary tokens created under bsc like safemoon, etc. I can't say if what you're holding is good or bad but I don't think their project will last that long like years.

Some words of advice would be really good. Thanks.

For me, I just hodl if the team behind that project is transparent and keeps in touch with the community with their progress. As long as their roadmap are followed then there is no reason for me to dump it. I will just dump it if something fishy is going on or the team already abandoned the project.
4591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: June 24, 2021, 02:46:34 PM
~snip

Your no.10 on the list is new to me and haven't heard anything about it but aside from that all those crypto are a good choice to hold. We've been consolidating for few weeks so I can say that it is good to stock some alts now that are on your list aside from bitcoin and ethereum. Those coins are mostly on the top of coinmarketcap and made a huge increase this year. BNB was just less than 50$ at the beginning of the year and almost reached $1k of its last ATH. Buying now at this point will be an easy profit if market starts to rally again and those coin on the list reaches a new ATH again.
4592  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anything particular causing these declines? on: June 24, 2021, 01:58:20 PM
Is it our friend Elon Troll Musk again?

He's been silent since he made the statement about Tesla to stop accepting bitcoin as payment. What I think the reason for this decline recently is because of the fuds from China, like miners there shutting down which we know that a huge percentage are from that country. They often cause these dumps which I don't really know the exact reason for it like they always say that they ban it. If they can't accept it as a digital currency then why they have the biggest mining farm of bitcoin.
4593  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: June 24, 2021, 01:10:41 PM
It is about greediness what money can bring to us. It defines power which makes many people show their evil side if it is involved. People become a slave for money because it is always needed to buy necessities like food, shelter, bills, etc. Lower-income people are easily looked down on by those above them because they can't do anything without money. While government officials and authorities are easily corrupted just with a huge amount of money by doing illegal stuffs.
4594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel uncomfortable if I don’t buy on: June 24, 2021, 11:21:26 AM
I guess this is the part where I wait.

Don't force yourself to buy if you really can't, don't think of getting a loan just to buy at a lower price. Not all of us are able to buy in every dips since we have personal responsibilities.  No one knows how the market will move, it can even dip lower after you bought. Some of us feel anxious too when cryptocurrencies are dipping and we can't buy, let's just think that will still be able to have profit from it in the long run. Market will always recover when these dumps happen.
4595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Whale hoards bitcoin, will the market run out of BTC to buy? on: June 24, 2021, 10:09:48 AM
Whales will always reach a point that they will sell their bitcoin, they can't just hodl without a goal of having profit from it. Why do you think market crashes, price will just go up if many whales will just hodl. You didn't invest just to make it a display, it is an asset like gold. Bitcoin in the crypto market or exchange can't just easily run out of supply. Just imagine the current price at that time multiply to its total supply, that would be the total money needed to purchase all the bitcoin in the market.
4596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recognizing Gambling Disorders, Symptoms of Severe Gambling Addiction on: June 24, 2021, 06:15:19 AM
In the last few hours I personally do self-introspection and analyze these symptoms may be in myself, family or friends. and as a result there are some of my friends who do seem to have these symptoms ;
1. Should I shut up and watch him continue gambling.
2. Or risk the friendship to fall apart by suggesting him to go to a psychiatrist, because because in my place people who go to a psychiatrist are identical to people who have mental disorders.

I prefer the option number 2. Your friend will surely be offended if you asked him to go to a psychiatrist but if he realizes soon that you are right about their addiction in gambling, your friendship will return. I'd rather lose our friendship than watch them ruin their life because of gambling. He won't be that same friend anymore if he got addicted in gambling. We should break the stereotype that if someone goes to a psychiatrist, he automatically has a mental disorder.
4597  Other / Archival / Re: Where is the bottom and what's next? on: June 23, 2021, 04:05:55 PM
Where do you think the bottom is and what will happen next for the bitcoin price?

Bitcoin is really unpredictable so no one can predict where will be the bottom. Price could dump hard in a week and can also pump as well. For me, the dump recently at $28k was the bottom. We quickly recovered from that dump and now trading at $34k. I could be wrong also if fud suddenly shows up again resulting for it to dump again. If that was the bottom then I think next month would be a green market for bitcoin again and also to other cryptocurrencies.
4598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop losses on: June 23, 2021, 02:00:13 PM
Just curious, do any of you set stop losses and recollect again later? Or do you just HODL regardless of what the dip is.

I can't monitor the market properly as I am busy with personal stuffs so I just HODL and don't bother if it dips. I even buy more if I have extra money. Having stop losses is only for traders who want to lessen their losses. They put a stoploss so they still have buying power and able to buy more quantity of that particular crypto at a lower price. Stoploss is very important especially if you are doing leverage trading to avoid being liquidated. As for spot, you only put stoploss if you can monitor the market properly. If you put stoploss then the price quickly bounce, you will just buy again at a higher price with lesser quantity of that coin.
4599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This sh*t ain't for the faint of heart! 😭 on: June 23, 2021, 01:11:05 PM
No one knows how the market will move so we can't tell if the $28k dump recently was already the bottom. It is always better to not go all-in when buying these dips. Though you will still be in profit in few years but it is still better if you can accumulate at a lower price. We bounced hard from that previous dump but we can't confirm yet if the price won't go any lower than that. If a fud suddenly shows up, bitcoin's price could go down again quickly.
4600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best place for staking or yield farming on: June 23, 2021, 10:23:31 AM
Pancakeswap and bakeryswap are the only best place to do staking and yield farming for me though there are many platforms like that are created since bsc network became popular. There are many choices on those platforms what token you will farm or stake. Plus, I feel safer with PCS and Bakeryswap because they are acknowledged by binance. The APR is also reasonable unlike new platforms now that it is only good to farm in the beginning. Been staking now my CAKE in Pancakeswap for almost a year, I treat it as a time deposit but way more better than putting it on a real bank.
