^Oh huh, I had no idea that whole thing happened at Camp Nou (just reading about it now), but that's bordering ridiculous (although seriously, if only half the stadium was filled with away fans and Barca fans got drowned out by... Frankfurt... that's another issue to be had all together).

It does remind me of the last local game I watched in 1999 though. My state team, the serious underdogs, won a place in the final against the best team in the land... which wasn't even from our country. 100% short small local lads versus a foreign club full of European imports haha. But on request of the other team, afraid of our fans, the FA broke tradition and played the game in a stadium far away from us, where you'd need to fly to (this was 1990s, where not everyone could afford plane tickets, and well, in my own family, almost no one had ever flown before).

Still, it ended up the stadium was overflowing, with loads more camped outside, and the other team fans all sat in one small VIP section.

We still lost, 2-1, and after the riots, that stadium was never used again until today for an official football game heh.

Sorry off topic but can't imagine the repercussions at Anfield if they allowed half the stadium to be filled with away fans.

He's English, so there's a little extra banter to be heard about it, since obviously banter is a very British thing. Also, he does some pretty comical things at times. Honestly, he kind of reminds me of Phil Jones. Obviously, the biggest thing for Maguire is he cost so much, and has delivered nothing up to this point. At least Phil Jones wasn't a massive transfer.

Phil Jones, ah, the one that Ferguson settled for after deciding Henderson ran funny (and how we ended up getting Hendo instead of Jones!). Funny how things eventually turn out many years down the line, with different coaches and different styles.

It is much more complex than 'Maguire is crap'. Or well, it isn't. United is crap Grin

It definitely is much more complex than that. I do feel for him. But he could have been managed better. Klopp could have been deemed cruel when he dropped Karius after his own set of defensive atrocities but he probably prevented him from doing even worse (though he seemed to have carried that cloud over to Turkey after).

If his form dipped (which it did) and his confidence meant he could no longer captain (which it did), you take him off and sort it out first.

Thank you very much swogerino! I did mess around with the picks, and at some point even put LeClerc out of podium but put him back in -- fearing slipping down further the ranks. Should have listened to my gut! Even got 5,6 and 7 right, just one spot displaced down.

Great win, and probably one of the more boring ones as Verstappen led right from start to end. But nice get on yellow cap, strange to see so many spoons huh?
4584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where have you saved your bitcoin keys? (satoshi saved it in cd rom! allegedly) on: April 25, 2022, 07:31:04 AM
I definitely have a hot wallet where my keys (or rather, my seed phrase) are stored digitally and in a way easy for me to access on the go. It's still horribly inconvenient, not to mention the wallet app itself is pretty bad but as far as phone apps go I make the security sacrifice for convenience (as we all do). Worst case scenario, hot wallet lost is not a lot of money.

I've considered a secondary semi-hot wallet (I'm making things up) where I'll only memorise the seed phrase to restore when needed. Terrible idea unless you find a way to help you remember if you forget.

Damn it toma, stop predicting such nonsense stuff for Rayo.

Was doing so-so this weekend, but final bet still alive looks like it's going down the drain as needed Barca to lead by HT... and of course, they want to make life difficult for themselves. 15 minutes to go to score 2 and give me hope?

-- nice on for Betis, and exactly, Villareal can qualify for Champions League the way they did this season -- by winning their European final and beating English royalty =D

Southampton look like they'll lose again...

I took a live bet on them as soon as they went down to the early goal... with the Super Boost it was worth it... then the injury to Livramento really took the wind out of their sails though and Brighton in the air -- Saints had no answer to them at all really.

Then steps up JWP from out of nowhere, freekick keeper should have saved just before half time, and then out of the blocks in the second half to smack that volley in to take his tally to 10 for the season... 14 freekick goals to his name already, that guy!

Brighton 78th offside goal margin was wafer thin, bleh. Actually picked Brighton for the win in pool though so I ended up dropping precious points, and losing my bet. I love draws...

P.S. Crazy late goal from Chelski puts tumi way in front, bloody bastard.
4588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 24, 2022, 02:30:12 PM
My favourite from day one is west ham, they really deserve something from this season, they have been consistent even last season the they fought till the last day for Fourth position even topping Leicester city, Tottenham Hotspur and arsenal in the league table, when Barcelona was drop to the Europa League I was thinking this is bad news for them but Barcelona are out now so I see them as the favourite, they will win Frankfurt in the semis, winning Lyon 3 nil is a enough evidence that they will see out Frankfurt. And rangers are not push aside team just because they are playing a German team that is not reliable.

You do have to give credit to Moyes -- I know he's no one's favourite guy but if you're not a club expected to go fight in Europe and will never have the budget to do this (I say this because of Newcastle and the random money any club can appear to enter into suddenly), he's your guy. I still feel slightly disappointed in their league position but to actually say that means how far he's somehow taken them. I still don't rate them in Europa though and that's no disrespect to them. UCL, Europa, they need experience in continental competition. Frankfurt surely has more nous, Rangers will feel hungrier (or angrier for likely losing the Scottish title defence...).

Right. Anyone else got hoodwinked by Salernitana... yet again? Stupid question of course as only rdbase went for the win. Poor icopress even tried a draw and lost. I even had the gall to put Fiorentina to win at FOUR nil. It's not like they haven't done it before haha.

Avoided that banana skin on my ticket, and hoping that's the extent of it cause I already took some risks today, but so far Bologna looking good (and yes I put Napoli on ticket).

So should I be taking out my Tauris off the finishing places as they didn't even make this?
Yes that is correct.
Sprint races were just introduced last season so this is the format they are following now for reaching pole position for the main race at the end of the weekend that the sprint takes place.
Not every track has sprint so the original format from qualifying takes precedence for the rest.

It was quite a practice yesterday with so many red flags. And today's race it looked like Leclerc was going to take it but Max came out of nowhere to snatch it up.
Can't wait to see tomorrows race. It should be a contested one as all drivers are having issues at several turns as qualifying had shown.

I definitely need catching up then, if it's been going on since last season and I'm only now just recognising it heh. At least I can not fully blame myself if you say some tracks are still in the original format -- perhaps the ones I read about happened to be just that. Probably shouldn't say much as I don't follow much but sounds like unnecessary frills to bloat the competition.

You didn't answer my question though: Tauris didn't make sprint, so should I even remove them from my picks or is sprint meaningless other than for qualifying start positions?

Starts in 5 minutes! Too late anyway ha!

Oh my god, I haven't thought about cryptotalk in quite a while--and I do remember writing some posts about it back when they had that campaign running that OP referenced.  They did pay for posts for a while, but the messed up thing was that the payment got credited to a Yobit account that you had to create IIRC, so you had to become associated with that shitty exchange.  My guess is that they were hoping people would blow their earnings gambling on shitcoins and ghostcoins (fictitious "coins" that only exist on Yobit and don't have a blockchain).  No doubt a good number of them did just that.

Man you brought back some blast from the past for me -- Yobit! I was like any other fool in 2016, holding bags of silly alts that couldn't be traded anywhere else (and though Cryptopia died a couple of years later or so, it was already problematic before then)... and Yobit "saved" me. Cryptotalk spammers I remember a lot too, didn't know they paid to Yobit.

I think the only other forum ever worth going to back then was Bitcoin Garden -- wasn't like there was anything Bitcoin useful there but a lot of altcoin devs hanged out there -- and back then, at least not everyone was an ICO-mongering turd.

Even when bitcoin.com had the money and the people, they couldn't turn their forum into a viable competitor.
4592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 21/22 - discussion thread on: April 24, 2022, 10:29:22 AM
PSV is already losing against Cambuur in the second minute of the game and now its still 1-0 even tho PSV is attacking like crazy now but just cannot score. I think PSV cannot win the title they dont have the team for it to overtake Ajax in the finish of the league.

Yeah, sucked to be keeping an eye on Eredivisie yesterday. Nijmegen almost took points of Ajax, until they naturally scored in 88th... so PSV must have been pumping their hearts out in similar fashion. Gap is too big, but I still wonder if I'm right that the ten Hag appointment is messing with the players, and the game at Nijmegen seems to suggest that? 4 more games, even if they draw 2 more they'll win it, so no use for me to hope I guess.
4593  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 24, 2022, 09:28:30 AM
Yeah mentioned yesterday these last few 40k breaks have puzzles me as have been expecting 38k and below to be easily done with repeated failure of 40k as support -- BUT we could also be underestimating the desire of bulls to be tested and relinquish 40k temporarily. One of the tightest ranges over one of the longest periods (relatively) this year so far, that's a proper tug of war but one guy just needs to lose their footing Wink

Let's see if the bulls can defend the $40k again, as you have said the supports seems to be very tight and we even have some movement above that support line and I thought that we can go to the next, at least $45. So there is a battle on the floor, bulls and bears trying to get the advantage in this race up to the end of the month at least. So it's going to be $40k++ or a minor divergence again to $38k.

We'll need to first get over the line, hopefully today, but at least by tomorrow. Trend so far does look encouraging but it's Monday when regular markets open that Bitcoin will need to defend whatever sentiment is prevalent by then. And defending it above $40k is what I'd hope to see in the final stretch of April. I'm the last to pin any hopes though, we're midway through the halvings and haven't had the requisite crash yet.

Threw in quite a number of 3-1s on this round, well, every single game yesterday actually, and was mildly surprised to see the tactic semi-worked out to pull myself a couple of positions up. I don't know what made me back Villa again yesterday really, I mean, I thought they surely had to snap a 4-game losing streak and you don't have better chances to hit a Vardy-less Leicester.

Arsenal popping in a sweet 3-1 win over United is cherry... too bad they can't blame Maguire on that one.

Nice post OP and o_e_l_e_o for pointing out it's not actually a new script, just another iteration... is it as close enough version of AMLBot as well? The latter is something I've been following for a while, but my impressions of it in 2020 was that it wasn't good enough -- though skimming through it now I see it's truly grown to cover a lot of chains.

MajSev fail from me. Plenty of goals from City but I wouldn't have picked Jesus anyway, instead went for King and Watford was miserable. Newcastle irresistible, but I've given up picking on Joelinton and then he puts in two, haha. Wood didn't even play, ouch. Guimaraes seems hot, not sure why I didn't select him. Coutinho subbed out... So, only Saka hit from today, so I win nothing even if the remaining picks go in tomorrow... oh well

Saka, Wood, King, Salah, Coutinho, Havertz, JWP
4597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +81785 units on: April 23, 2022, 04:35:57 PM
There's also a Super Boost on Sportsbet -- United have never looked so poor, while Dortmund will be inspired to not let Bayern enjoy their title, so why not an Arsenal-BVB acca?
100 units on Arsenal and BVB to WIN @14.55. Other odds: 13.66
Units advantage: 89

Bookmakers quote the chances of Borussia to win as 7? Lol what? A bet on this outcome looks attractive in itself, you don’t even need to add a risky Arsenal. I wonder what caused such unfair odds for Dortmund on the part of the bookmakers - do they really think that compared to Bayern this is a team of the level of Arminia and has no chance? But this is not true.

Congratulations on your deposit recovery. Liverpool really made everyone happy.

I don't really get it either (but if you read my response to you in the F1 thread then we have to assume betting money is heavily on Bayern, which doesn't make sense with such poor odds) -- and if you look now, the odds are even 8/1 ++. Lineup looks stead: Reus and Brandt flanking Haaland with Bellingham behind, so it's not like they can't score. I feel like I got cheated on my acca too as Arsenal was over 2/1. Could easily get 16.5x if I placed my bet right before Arsenal game and it was only 14.55 when I locked in.
4598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: April 23, 2022, 03:26:01 PM
Haaland special up today almost 6/1 (scores more than Lewandowski), but I already took a BVB line, and odds creeping up to above 83/10 now! Otherwise, seems pretty good value.

Baseball is NOT as bad as cricket (to me). Cricket makes me want to cry.
Same here but I did not want to write since this is after all "Sportsbet.io" topic and I know those guys are big on cricket Smiley

Now after you opened your soul I must admit I completely agree. I find even women's curling more interesting too watch.

Haha, I don't mind being the bad cop -- I've sat myself down at cricket games in the past, and to my credit, I probably watched it more than the guys who brought me there. They were talking to each other most of the time or eating, and most of the other spectators there too were doing the same. Then there was a huge cricket game viewing (from projector on a screen) I also attended. I found it strange that they'd make such a big deal out of it (India Pakistan) and talk for days about it but on the match itself everyone was doing other things, some kids would inform everyone Over 50 or Over 100, and then everyone would yell and celebrate and look at the screen for a couple of mins and that's it. I was, with the kids, the only one trying to really watch the game.

Now I know that's totally unbalanced opinion and lopsided experience, all my cricket experience came in a period of 2 years, and to be fair, when people played it just on the streets with each other, you totally get the sport more than watching a professional game. It's kinship, and I see a lot of sportsmanship, more so than football in general where there's a lot of ego and showboating (but bloody hell I love playing against those guys and actually getting the better of them).

Another plus for Cricket is that it seems extremely friendly on unfit bodies I guess =D Unlike football, where you snap tendons and tear muscles if you're not half-fit.
4599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: April 23, 2022, 02:17:02 PM
^ That's precisely how you can find value in sports. I don't know F1 much but it's certainly true in football -- bookmaker early lines are probably the most accurate but that adjusts as bets come in and bookies balance their books.

So am reading now that Verstappen took pole for sprint. So am learning sprint winner then takes pole at the race. Was this always the case or have I missed out on F1 mechanics all this while? So should I be taking out my Tauris off the finishing places as they didn't even make this?

Good on you OP! Also, remember that even if mempool gets a little full and the recommended fee for next block ups to 2 or 3 sats, or even higher, you shouldn't need to worry too long about your 1 sat/byte tx.

Even last week at 8 sats recommended, I went ahead within fee. Took some hours but everything cleared in half a day. Obviously if you need urgent shit rbf saves yr ass but really, if you move around or consolidate especially, wouldn't worry too much about min fee.
