461  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: June 06, 2023, 08:41:59 AM
snip
Buying could really be on different variations.

1. Buy when there's a market correction
2. Buy when everyone is really on fear
3. Buy if there's some positive news
4. Buy in accumulation since you are after for long term.

Best time to buy is when everything is still cheap. Doesnt matter if you are going for short term or long term as long it would be cheap
then you would really be that benefiting when market recovers.
One thing more important than all the things you mentioned is to buy when you have money. How can you buy bitcoin if you don't have money when the market corrects and drops? So in my opinion, the best time to buy is whenever you have the money, and this only applies to long term investors, not to short term traders.

Bitcoin buying should be done slowly and gradually, do not buy with just 1 order because the market is very unpredictable. If we buy once, especially in a bear market, we will most likely miss many lower lows.
I totally agree, that the best time to buy is when you have the money, and this is recommended for those who have the intention of holding bitcoins for a long term, otherwise it will weigh you down against market volatility.
And at the time of market correction, people are panic selling, in positive news circumstances, it is a bonus opportunity to buy bitcoin because it will very rarely happen, and you need to understand that buying bitcoin must be gradual or do a DCA strategy so that all of these opportunities can be realized. we get when we still have the money to do a DCA instead of making a purchase outright.

I agree that we don't always have the money to invest in bitcoin. But once we have invested, we need to have a plan that suits our financial situation. I mean, when bitcoin was worth $17k, we didn't buy it because we didn't have the money, but when we had the money, bitcoin was worth $50k. I don't think this will be the perfect time to buy bitcoin. Always have a plan and be proactive in investing, the market is very unpredictable, but if we prepare well, we will always master the game.
462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: June 06, 2023, 08:34:15 AM
Not always a good time to buy bitcoin as some say, but during bear season, and if we compare the current price with ATH, it is the perfect time to buy bitcoin. I know your fear, but no one can predict the bitcoin price, it may go up or down, no one knows. But I can assure you one thing, bitcoin will always recover and go higher after every drop, so buying now is not a big deal. And another thing is not selling is not losing, 1BTC is always 1BTC.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ad sales down 59%, company valuation down 66% on: June 05, 2023, 10:58:02 PM
In my opinion, there is a certain amount of Musk's own guilt here. He rushes from one extreme to another without a clear business strategy. One day he wants to be CEO, the next day he doesn't. Perhaps that is his plan: to destroy Twitter. Doesn't Musk have the money to hire proper advisors?
For a businessman who owns many companies and is the richest billionaire in the world. Do you think he would make such simple mistakes? Do not rush to say that he is wrong in business when we are not equal to him and do not have any business experience. I am also not good and have the right to judge anyone, but I know one thing, in business does not always things go smoothly. Sometimes there will be difficulties, especially during an economic crisis. Many businesses also go bankrupt, the decrease in revenue is nothing.
464  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of Cryptocurrency Adoption on: June 05, 2023, 10:50:21 PM
In the economy of business today, we cannot talk long without the mentioning of the word cryptocurrency because this is the era we are all into now, many countries are fast growing in crypto adoption and the more we go the better it becomes everywhere, cryptocurrency has emerge a great recognition to the world because of the interest people have in having an alternative to financial system through digital currency.

Cryptocurrency can't just be overlooked when it come to any country economy. It has helped in some many ways even in terms of job opportunities. I have alot of friends that live only on cryptocurrency. They have no physical job but live fine with the earnings they made from crypto. We are in the world of technology and this keep advancing everyday so crypto will keep developing more everyday for almost all country.
Are you sure your friend lives on crypto income? Cryptocurrency is a speculative and volatile market, I don't believe anyone can live on crypto investment without another job. Even the top traders I know have 2 to 3 sources of income other than crypto. Moreover, cryptocurrency is a new market, very small, and it has an impact on some individuals, it has not had any impact on the economy of a country yet. I am also a crypto investor, but we should be realistic and honest.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: June 05, 2023, 10:43:02 PM
Well, the inflation in my country now is not extremely high but has already damaged the economy. The cost of living is increasing and does not seem to stop. Last week one of my friends lost his job after working in the same company for a decade. His life abruptly changed, putting him in a place where he could not support his family. If you were him, how would you survive this tough time ? As a friend, I am trying to help him as much as I can and meanwhile, I am planning to save more money to prepare for the unexpected challenges in my life. What about you ?
It will be a bad experience for your friend if he has no savings and suddenly loses his job. but to avoid such a situation, everyone should reduce unnecessary expenses and make savings. but considering the country's economic situation and inflation situation, it is not possible to improve even if only savings are done. so we have to invest in different types of business and increase investment in different potential assets. I think these ways should be adopted along with the job, it will be possible for us to live a happy life

I totally agree with you, just saving will not help us have a prosperous life because of inflation, prices increase yearly, and the currency depreciates, so saving has no effect anymore. Instead, we should invest and accumulate in deflationary assets like gold, real estate, or bitcoin. Only in this way can we deal with the fact that goods are increasing day by day due to inflation. But saving should take precedence over investment, I mean we should have a savings for life before thinking of investment because investment also has certain risks.
Risks exist in investment, if one takes the risk then an opportunity will be created. If some one is not willing to take any risk then he can save money through monthly savings. But inflation is rising, saving fiat money is one kind of loss. If a small portion of the income is invested in Bitcoin every month, it can bring a good amount of profit. But it will totally depend on what a person wants to do. Personally I am enthusiastic about investing in Bitcoin with my little amount of savings.

Investing in bitcoin is a risky investment because of its extreme volatility. If someone is not willing to take risks to get big rewards, it is possible to invest in gold, it is very safe and can help us avoid inflation because of its stability. I think we should stay away from fiat, and not save all our money in fiat because the value will be lost very quickly and terribly. I also prefer bitcoin to gold because of its benefits, but always be diverse because nothing is certain about the future of bitcoin.

467  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 04, 2023, 11:47:51 PM
Many countries Bannde ChatGPT for fear of making big changes for work, will automatically continue to develop and make many people unemployed, but I'm sure the development and use of chatgpt will not be stopped because of future trends and effective, accurate and efficient industrial needs, as humans We must be prepared and find solutions to be able to compete when chatgpt is legalized
You're mistaken, many European countries have banned Chatgpt because of privacy, it collects too much user data without their permission. They are not afraid it will affect the job market, even they don't care about it because our world is becoming modern, technology development is inevitable. Moreover, how an automated talking tool can destroy the job market. Is that too absurd?
468  Economy / Economics / Re: If they have the solution, why are banks still failing? on: June 04, 2023, 11:42:29 PM
I think they are just using the momentum to reduce the number of banks. There is no need for as many banks as there are now. Central banks want to increase their role and influence and are trying to capture the initiative that they lost earlier. That may be one of the goals of the crisis situation in the world.
Do you think the collapse of some banks was planned already?  Shocked
I don't know how many banks are needed, not sure if we should have fewer banks only. However, more banks mean competition, that's leads to better service/quality for the banks because they want to be the best. If we have fewer banks, there will be higher domination or a monopoly of a  few banks for the customers in certain areas. I don't think it will be a good sign for the future of banks.

If you believe that there is competition between banks, it means that there will be unfair competition because they are rivals. So the failure of a few banks is an advantage for the rest. Just like when you have a business or your competitor goes bankrupt, you will be glad you no longer have anyone to fight for customers. The collapse of a few banks does not indicate that the world banking system is in trouble or will collapse en masse.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: June 03, 2023, 11:21:47 PM
I hope borrowing never put us to shame before we quit this action, why can't we learn and give it all it takes to also be an owner and lend to others than borrowing always, some people have no courtesy to what they can borrow, how they borrow and from whom they even borrow from, it a thing of shame that some people don't even count it serious that they should stop or limit the extent of things they borrow.
At least people must first measure the limits of their financial capabilities before intending to take a loan. but often this one important thing is neglected by those who are addicted. But there are situations where they are forced to do so even though they realize their ability to pay may not be very good. What is really embarrassing are those who borrow only to buy branded items that they use to show off and prioritize style in their life. But those who borrow for an urgent need can still be considered reasonable.

Borrowing money is nothing to be ashamed of if we use it for necessary and essential purposes. I also used to borrow to cover my life, it can be said that it was a very difficult time, and the repayment was also very hard, it exhausted my strength. But if I don't borrow money, my family, wife, and children will face even more difficulties. As long as we borrow and pay in full, there is no shame because life will sometimes encounter unexpected difficulties.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Btc or any coin can become accepted currency this way on: June 03, 2023, 11:13:17 PM
Quote
The bitcoin itself is commoditie so btc cant be currency...the oil is commoditie and gold...so u cant buy food with oil or gold neither with btc yes you can but the rule is that commoditie is commoditie and currencies are currencies.

@OP are you purposely derailing newbies into believing that bitcoin is not a currency?  While the definition of bitcoin everywhere simply point that it is a cryptocurrency
see these:
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bitcoin.asp
https://bitcoin.org/en/
https://www.coinbase.com/learn/crypto-basics/what-is-bitcoin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin

How can you explain why Bitcoin is not called cryptocurrency?  Is there any ground why you call Bitcoin only a commodity and not a currency?  I know that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) considers Bitcoin to be a commodity which is reasonable and i wonder why they don't consider bitcoin not a currency, but the CFTC is not the global authority to identify such a thing.

I don't care what you say or anyone else i listen only the most wealthy ones and they think btc not currency whos got most biggest wallet Will have the final word.
And Im sure you not part of hedge fund or any of the big money capital instutions

If you don't care what people say and why are you sharing your opinion here? If you like talking and listening to the richest people, then you should go to them because we don't have billionaires like you talk about here. But I suspect with your knowledge and attitude, someone rich would want to talk to you. One more thing, I want to know, are you rich? And with an attitude that doesn't respect others like you, shows that you are not a nice person either.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you support bitcoin as Global reserve currency? on: June 03, 2023, 10:55:18 PM
To be a global reserve currency, it needs to be stable and will be largely held by governments. That would make bitcoin less decentralized, and most of it would be in the hands of the government. So I won't support this, I like what we have, bitcoin is volatile, nobody holds it too much, and it's all divided equally. Volatility is what gets people interested in bitcoin, if it becomes a currency, that means it will be stable, and I don't think many people will use it.

let us just stick to the US dollar as the global reserve currency. bitcoin has its own niche in the financial market, so yeah, let's keep it that way. why people are aiming BTC to be the global reserve currency? why not be grateful that it is going mainstream as it is attracting more users?
so nope, not supporting such idea. and yes, do remember, volatility is the reason why many people are still coming into this market. well, the hope of getting high profits is always nice, right?

Although bitcoin was created as a currency, over time, it has become an asset, a perfect investment tool. It has brought us justice when investing seems only for people with a lot of money because investing in gold or real estate requires a decent amount of capital to get started. But with bitcoin, even those with the most difficult lives have a chance to change their lives. It can be said that bitcoin is doing well for us as an investment, so we don't need to turn it into another government asset.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: June 02, 2023, 11:21:15 PM
IMO it's a great idea. People who don't take any risks in life don't gain anything. Maybe you'll regret it, there's a small chance bitcoin will not succeed, but would you want to miss the opportunity and later regret not spending your allowance on bitcoin? If iI knew I could make a million by investing 1k in bitcoin early on, or lose that 1k, I'd take that chance without thinking too much and I believe most of us would.

If it's OP's money, then what you say is true, but this isn't OP's money, it's his dad's money. And his dad is retired, and you think investing and holding property for many years is right for them? While what they need is to rest and enjoy life rather than need to earn more money. If it were OP's money, I would support him doing it too. By the way, OP should make his own money to invest in bitcoin, don't advise your dad to invest in bitcoin just for your benefit. He's worked hard all his life, and now it's time for you to pay tribute, you give him money to retire. It's not about continuing to use the money of a retired old person.

474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: June 02, 2023, 11:02:39 PM
Bitcoin operates without a central authority, providing decentralization, and offers secure and private transactions which is a good thing using a Bitcoin to pay. It also generally involves lower fees, especially for international transfers, and is accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Also, some view Bitcoin as a potential investment opportunity due to its growth potential. But there are some of disadvantages of it, like its value is highly volatile, making it challenging to determine the true cost of goods or services. Its rare to have merchants accept Bitcoins, and transaction are generally irreversible.

The volatile nature of bitcoin is considered a drawback when wanting to use bitcoin as a currency, payment method. But when you use it for investment purposes, volatility is a plus, the more volatile bitcoin is, the more opportunities we have to make a profit. But you are right, it is true, the original purpose of creating bitcoin is a p2p payment method, but it is being used as a speculative asset. So we can see very few merchants or shops using it for payment. But its use for international payments still outperforms banks despite its volatility.
475  Economy / Economics / Re: My wealth plan for next 3 years on: May 31, 2023, 01:34:17 PM
It a quite funny Post OP, I think you are not serious with your plan as I can see you are trying to invest the loan amount + you are investing to avoid inflation which is a good idea but where you are investing DOGEAI are you sure about it that it will be non-inflationary with respect to time. Shitcoins are the disease and you are investing the money of one disease Loan to another disease Shitcoin. Not recommended rather than Investing the Loan amount I would say you should consider the Salary cut-off in DCA even if it's a small value. I was wondering with your expectations of 1000X haha iw ould say please don't even expect 1x in profit for next 3 years and 1000X is not possible until the arrival of SUN to earth.

Safemoon pepe...and now aidoge many investors Made good Money with pepe i missed pepe so i take aidoge
I do not deny that investing in memes can bring great returns, maybe even life changing overnight. Pepe is one of the more profitable memes for investors than Doge and Shiba have ever done. But you see, how many people succeed in making a profit from it, or is it only after they hyped things up that you find out? AIdoge is a shitcoin that is nothing new, many people have also profited from it. And now that you are thinking of investing in it, is it too late?
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price is always affected by world market news, why ??? on: May 31, 2023, 01:21:21 PM
Not only with bitcoin, but all the markets and assets in this world work like that. The world is a highly interconnected chain, so just one person having a problem affects the rest. But also depending on the association level, there will be different effects. Just like the war between Russia and Ukraine. Many countries are halfway around the world from war but will still be affected when war happens because it affects supply and demand around the world. No country can avoid it.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: May 31, 2023, 01:08:50 PM
-snip-
I would recommend OP to consider diversifying by purchasing a few different assets with varying risks, to hone their skills and try to find a risk profile that suits them.
A diversification strategy will be useful when some assets go down but other assets are still safe from the decline.
What must be included in the diversification strategy is of course BTC which is the main asset and is supported by several potential altcoins.

As the phrase is always said "Don't Put Eggs in One Basket", when basket number one falls, the next basket does not fall and the eggs are still intact.

Did this advice work for the OP? I mean, even if he doesn't have money to invest in bitcoin, his bitcoin investment is minimal and insignificant. Instead of diversifying each asset with just a few tens of dollars, the OP should focus entirely on bitcoin. The advice is correct, but we need to give the correct advice for each person's situation.

And I don't think investing in altcoins is called diversification. Because the entire crypto industry depends on bitcoin,  if bitcoin crashes then all altcoins will disappear. Therefore, it cannot be called diversification. Should only diversify non-crypto-related assets.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: May 31, 2023, 12:59:41 PM
I establish a mini (unity gas station) in my environment, And I feel that since am into bitcoin I can use this part to make bitcoin to be known in my area by implementing two systems of payment in my gas filling station, ( fiat and bitcoin) do you know that some youths who knows about bitcoin is interested to make payment with bitcoin and people who doesn't what's bitcoin began to ask of the meaning of bitcoin, and answers has been given to them base on my understanding in bitcoin.
So many of my customers and youths mostly is interested to make payment with bitcoin, I want to know bitcoin wallet that will be nice for receiving payment with bitcoin that will be safe for this business payment.
As expected, it's always the youth that will have interest in this type of payment solutions but I will like to know what comes with this payment option that makes them want to spend their Bitcoin to buy petrol or fuel when they can hold their Bitcoin for future gains, because every smart merchants know that this can't work unless you throw some good offers like discount to their faces.

Sorry I know some people who are accepting crypto payment in their businesses and they are able to do this successfully using discount offers, even the youths don't want to spend their Bitcoin or Ethereum on anything, they want to hold because they believe in the future value of these cryptos.

Do you have anything more to say about this?

Accepting bitcoin for businesses is something to really appreciate, and in doing so, we will also contribute to the popularity of bitcoin. But I really doubt its effectiveness, I mean, many people are using it as a profitable investment. So I don't think many people will be willing to use their bitcoins for daily payments. I will probably use bitcoin payment a few times to experience that great feeling, but let me do it every day, then I will definitely refuse, I feel like it's a waste to use bitcoin.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: May 31, 2023, 12:50:46 PM

I don't hate someone teaching bitcoin to children, but I strongly oppose teaching bitcoin to children who are too young. Many parents on the forum are trying to teach their children about bitcoin when they are too young to learn about bitcoin or other investments. That is the age when children need to have fun and explore everything in the world around them, not force them to follow our thoughts. And you're right, teaching them to invest too early won't make them rich in the future, but many parents aren't aware of this.
Actually this cannot be considered right and wrong as for whether you like it or not it depends on the parents who do have personal contact with their children because of course in this case even though bitcoin teaching is still very good but we also have to be able to measure the readiness of children and this goes back to parents who can see that potential.
Even if their children are at a young age but if they are ready why not do it.
We have come across several articles about young children who are quite successful in mining, for example, such as Ishaan Thakur and Aanya only because they are well facilitated because of their children's interest in this field or maybe a story that seems ridiculous because it is only based on a bet from Erik Finman but it is actually a good turning point for him in bitcoin.
Actually in this case the context is not to like it or not I think but we have to see whether or not the child is ready because indeed if it is not ready for what is being forced but basically if they already like it from the start it is even better because we as parents only need to facilitate as a container of their wishes.

I agree with what you said, if they are really interested in bitcoin, even at a young age, we can teach them. What I want to say here is I hope many parents should not force their children, should not impose their thoughts on their children, let their children grow up naturally, and respect their choices. Bitcoin is great, but it's not the only way to become rich or financially free in the world. So let them grow up the way they choose.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: May 30, 2023, 02:39:01 PM
Nowadays, social media has changed a lot, many things we don't need, such as being filled with advertisements, fraud and arguing with each other, almost all the social media that I follow, for example Facebook and Twitter, often contain annoying advertisements.

It's like our real society in miniature, so you can't expect it to be as quiet and safe as you'd like. Moreover, you cannot ask them to create a social network and give it to you for free without getting any benefit. Nothing in the world is free, you want to use those things but do not want to pay, you need to provide personal information to them. Those annoying ads are what you have to trade to be able to use social networks for free.
