I can corfirm the restarts but not the interval at my Saturn running 0.93.
It looks like mine restarts (cgminer) 1-2x per hour.
This is really annoying, as the system seems to startup at slow hashing rate (80GH ?) and takes
some minutes to get up to full speed.

Anyone have a hint where to find the logfiles on their Unix?

Anyone tried to setup ssh public-key authentication by creating a /etc/dropbear/authorized_keys (chmod 600)?
It's not working for me.

Hi,

I ordered 2 Saturns. One with shipping to Germany, one with hosting at KnC. Both orders were confirmed as DAY1 (whatever interpretation this
should mean, DAY1 of production, DAY1 of shipping).
She shipped Saturn did arrive today (08.10.2013) before 10am with FW 0.91.
It had been pre-configured with my (Bitminter) mining pool informations. That's fair!

Hashing speed had been around 270GH at about 270W (230V installation).

I left the system unattended for like 3 hours and the hashing rate did drop to 90GH. I did not check the power usage at that state.

Upgraded the system to FW 0.93. Since then it's running with 250-290GH (cgminer) and 260-275GH (Bitminter short term stats).
Latest long term stats from Bitminter: 256/263GH
Power usage: 270W (same as before)

The web interface does not allow a configuration for a backup pool.
SSH access, getting into cgminer (3.4.0) allow configuration of a backup pool.
After doing this, the web interface does not work for the pool config anymore. Empty page.

Looks like the pool config did survive a software (firmwae) update. Passwords did not!

Still no update on the hosting Saturn. (Menig might be able to look into the future)

I think I share some first ear information I just received from a phone call with KnC:

The ordering of the hosting option will not have an influence of the timing of installation.
They never (intended to) promise(d) that all hosted devices will be up running before any
boxes get shipped.
If you are at your place in the queue (and it looks this is the payment queue), your box will
either be sent to the hosting facility (which will take some hours ?) or send out via UPS.

There will be no ssh or other direct access to any hosted miners. That's for security reasons
and I totally agree on this.
There will be a webinterface (and it looks like they are not speaking about what you see
on your current order page). This webinterface also just gets finalized (omg, that's not professional!)
and they can't promise that a backup mining pool will be in the first revision of this software.    

Starting the production lines did not go as smoothly as they did expect.
But the production is running.

I congratulated them for nearly meeting the promised timeframe and it looks like they are
very proud and happy they did!

When you ordered/paid the "hosting" product you have some additional config parameters under the Common Information tab:

Bitcoin Wallet: (free text field)
Mining pool (selectable list)
Pool Worker: (free text field)
Worker password: (free text field)

Looks like only when you choose the KnC Pool, the Bitcoin Wallet makes sense.
For all other pools you configure the worker and the rest at the other mining pool.

Maybe this is just the preconfig KnC will make and you later have access to do more advanced stuff.

At least the definition of a backup pool is missing.

I defined an external pool and sent KnC support a mail that they should configure their own KnC
pool as backup pool.

Let's see what will happen.

Das kann ich nur bestätigen. Dieses Projekt läuft genau so, wie man es sich vorgestellt hat (bis auf die Erträge).
Da die Anteile über Bitfunder zu handeln waren/sind konnte auch jeder zu jedem zeitpunkt "aussteigen".

Zum Verkauf selbst über ebay:
Das ist ein enormer Aufwand, wenn man es sauber abwickeln will (wegen der diversen Gebühren, Umrechnung €/BTC über welche
Börse bzw. welchen Kurs) etc.
Und es gibt immer das Risiko, dass man nicht den erwarteten Preis bekommt.

Allerdings klingt es auch verlockend, das Projekt sauer einzustellen.

Ich wüsste also nicht, was besser bzw. zu empfehlen ist.

Der Vertrag weist als PLZ 31134 aus.
Laut http://www.postdirekt.de/plzserver sollte es aber 31135 sein!

Warum sollte ich diesen Angabe trauen? Man könnte denken, dass jemand absichtlich versucht, sich gegen
Mahnbescheide o.ä. zu wehren.

Wichtig für einen Mahnbescheid ist nicht, wo "jemand anzutreffen" ist, sondern nur, wo jemand gemeldet ist.

Ich warte also ab, bevor ich den Mahnbescheid beantrage. Es hat jetzt so lange gedauert, da kommt es auf die Tage auch
nicht mehr drauf an.

Hallo,

ein Update auf IOS 7 triggert mind. 2 Bugs mit Google Auth an:

a) Manche Einträge verschwinden komplett
b) Bei manchen Einträgen fehlt die Beschreibung (für welchen Dienst das Token war)

Zum Glück habe ich iPhone und iPad und habe mir schon seit Jahren angewöhnt, dass iPhone
erst Monate später zu updaten.

Update: Der letzte Update der Google Auth APP selbst behebt das Problem scheibar bei mir. Diesen
  Update hatte ich mir nur gesparrt, weil es damit (älteres Update) auch mal Probleme gab.

Nachdem DU jedoch auf eine Rückzahlung in € bestanden hast, extra Kontonummer etc. haben wolltest,

I think I would not have been worried so much if your webserver would have been down    but when I saw the nameservers being
unreachable, I had been worried what is going on. This and the share price drop made me wondering what happened.

I did not say that they use Dreamhost as Webserver - I don't know what they use.
I only said that they use nameservers operated by Dreamhost.

Of course, when all your nameservers are down, your whole service will be down (besides for people having the IP in
their cache or type it manually).

But of course, you should never operate (let operate) all your nameservers by the same company or via the same infrastructure.

All nameserves for dealco.in are unreachable!

Just as I type this, the ns2 starts to respond again.

Looks like they have technical problems with their domain "dealco.in" and/or webserver.

Someone offered them help for re-design of the webpage Maybe they need also technical help  in running one.
