how do i compile the NEO wallet in the Ledger wallet? .... give some apps? do I have to download something?
thank you everybody

Just wait for the official release, there will be instructions on what platform you will need to use to interface with the ledger (Neon wallet I'd assume).

Basically, Ledger will have an official app on the Nano S to 'approve' (sign) your transactions in the Neon wallet.

So that would be similar to how you can use MyEtherWallet with the Nano?

Why is Coinbase making false statements about Gold?

It looks like there is a scam within a scam - as in other opportunistic scammers are trying to set up a scam based on claiming Bitcoin Gold.

Check out this site claimbitcoin.gold - linked to from the "Bitcoin Gold" (@btcgpu) twitter account, but clearly a scam. It asks you to enter your private key or seed to "verify ownership" of the address you are claiming for lol.

That is incredible.  Why is Twitter supporting a scam site?

Coinbase is claiming that the Gold fork has already happened.  Not sure how they know this or think this but if true then the Gold team has lied to everyone.

YoBit started trading futures of it today (Oct 23)

It's incredible that a coin that has daily trading volume measured in the tens of dollars is almost profitable to mine.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: NEO coming to Ledger Nano S on: October 18, 2017, 03:45:04 PM
Guys, I've heard that Chinease government has closed office of NEO, but I haven't any proof of this in news. Do you know anything about this?

I haven't heard anything.  Sounds like someone is trying to create FUD.

Even if true all they have to do is move out of China.

1 week left.
Will I need to create another wallet for BTG?I have Exodus for my BTC.Will I have to move all my BTC to a wallet that support BTG to have the "free" BTG?

Not sure how you will access BTG yet but as long as you have a BTC wallet where you own your private keys you will get the BTG.

What about news that BTG developers self mined from 01 Oct? And BTG fork was already done? And all who can get BTG was already screenshoted?

Snapshot is occurring Oct 25.

ETH mining is more profitable now than it's been for awhile.  And the difficulty bomb is postponed for over a year!

Yeah block reward was cut from 5 to 3 but block time is now 15 seconds instead of 30.  Win win.

Bitcoin Gold is not getting the attention that Bitcoin Cash received.  It will probably just end up being a cheap coin on low volume exchanges.  I also heard that there was a 200,000 bitcoin gold premine which was suppose to be used for an ICO but something happened and it's no longer going to happen.

SegWit2x is a factor too, not just Bitcoin Gold.
474  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Nano S problem - can't connect on: October 16, 2017, 03:32:00 PM
It happened again.  Had to remove and reinstall the Eth app to the Nano S.

Am I seriously the only person having this issue?

Who runs orbiter explorer site?  The MUSIC dev team or someone else?

Is it up to the pool to distribute each block's coins according to the new rules?

I'm running a test on NomNom and so far I'm not seeing any better results than WhatToMine says I should be getting, and WhatToMine is using the new 246 block payout.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Ethermine vs Nanopool on: October 15, 2017, 09:35:00 PM
I don't like either one frankly.  They just seem to always underperform.

Currently Nanopool's calculator is saying I should be making $4.49 per day.  WhatToMine says I should be making $4.87 for the same hash rate.  This is pretty consistent from what I've seen.

I realize calculators aren't perfect but almost 10% difference is too much.  Other pools and coins are much closer usually.

Can someone explain how the hell nomnom.technology pool still paying 314 coins per block ? Earlier we were worrying about "code is law" thing, that blockchain should not be changed somehow, it was ignored by ETH and others and now we have some kind of chaos with mass soft/hard forks. Now we have this: owners just ignore their own rules and do whatever they like on their pool. What will be the next step on Musicoin project ? I don't trust to this project anymore.

I don't get that either.  If mining a block rewards 246 coins then how do they give 314?  How does that work exactly?  Sounds like a scam to me unless their statistics can back that up.

Is anyone currently using nomnom and can give us some 24 hour data or something?  MUSIC is moving up on WhatToMine a bit.

Why musicoin price will moon:

- miners dont get good profit anymore
- miners mine other coins wich are more profitable instead
- miners buy more musicoins with altcoin than directly mining
- supply will fall
- demand will rise

regards

Why would miners buy MUSIC?

It's not going to moon man.  It's just not.

Hmmm all I heard so far is not that good news for BTG. I was very curious about this hard fork. All i was thinking was "not another bitcoin hardfork"

Things getting to slobby and peoples going for a big laungh on that.

What's their point? GPU mining? Yeah well this one was done by e.g. Bitcore long time ago.

I think this is just a marketing foul. After that hardfork some bags will be fullfiled even more than before.

Well the idea of making Bitcoin GPU mineable again has some merit but I'm not sure that alone is enough to justify it.  Bitcoin is pretty unstoppable, at least for now.
