461  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 19, 2014, 12:56:15 PM
O on another note i got my spondoolies units today... 3.5TH. I've been mining digibyte as i need a base amount for a community project. Is XPY rental still profitable in its final day or should i not bother. I'm pretty sure in the last 6 hours i've done more mining then josh has. I can do a video tour if anyone wants and show my ass crack. My farms a bit boring though 2 x 1500W power supplies and 2 x spondoolies.

You can still get twice the BTC rate on Westhash/Nicehash. So do it.

They are paying out 104% now. They haven't been above 160% in the past 24 hours. So there is virtually no advantage to not just be mining BTC again unless renting your hash to Paycoin miners helps slow difficulty for a bit.

It's paying out at a rate 104% higher than normal BTC mining.  100% != regular BTC rate, that would be 0%--it's still profitable to continue with these ridiculous rentals, but I imagine they will continue to diminish through the weekend.

Ill say this but no one will listen. Im not a gaw fan. There idea seems solid to me and i invested what i felt comfortable for perceived risk. Ive seen these massive hate campaigns doing to zero legal effect. yet to see a single civil or criminal suit against the man you all claim is the antichrist.

I'm not sure if Mr. Karpeles or the cats at BFL would agree with you there....

TracerX just noticed your picture to the left Smiley Do you get your vests from the same place Josh does? I'm anti GAW i just thought it funny to mention the vest thing as it made me chuckle Smiley
... I am Josh!  Now I have to kill you before you alert others!  Wink

How is it a ponzi scam? thy have x numbers of prime controllers. They set aside y amount of hashtakers for their customers, people pay them some money to get a share of a higher value object. They then get paid for the shares(stakers) they have in the controller. This helps gaw by locking up a shit load of coins creating artifical scarcity.

Im not a huge supporter of gaw, got fucked over hard twice with them but with all the shit that has been flung at them the SEC and others would have shut them the fuck down by now surely?

@homero_ilikebbcinass you lose all credibility when you make abrand new account, name it that then just sit spitting out bile. Do it on your main account

You talk like the prime controllers exist........ Tongue

We will see monday. Im not so heavy into it that a price meltdown will kill me but im not going to listen to most of the vitriolic stuff on here that is either rehased crap or baseless accusation with a few legit grievences tucks in the middl

I'm afraid none of it, if any, is baseless accusations.  Take a look at the fine recap found here and let us know if we missed something: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg9868670#msg9868670 (props to eightcylinders for writing this up)

Was any of that not clear enough?  Do you see the patterns?  Do we need to ELI5 it for you?

Let us know how we can help.

So I'm guess Josh tweeted this so he doesn't have to prove he has any miners.  He can go ahead and say he sold it all

Even though the mining centers are noisy and hot, it will be sad to see them go. RIP
I saw this this afternoon--how convenient!
466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner BE300S Samples Arrived, <0.2W/G Achieved at Board Level on: December 17, 2014, 09:22:36 PM
AM has said before something about wanting modular style miners.  There aren't a ton of improvements that can be made over the Tube/Prisma cooling design, I could see them offering simply boards, fans, and controllers as bulk buy/piecemeal similar to the way they have done before, but without having to buy the heatsinks.
Or ship the heatsinks, which would be an improvement as well.

Rough Translation:

"I want to figure out how to let you guys trade XPY without us being a licensed MSB anytime soon since I didn't think of that until yesterday, so I'm going to find a way to turn your xpy into gift cards, so you can all still have a merry xmas"!  ::grinning::
It's going to be the "Christmas Crypto Crushed" this year, at least for the poor suckers that got pulled in...  I can't count how many people in the HT forums are saying that their holiday shopping depends completely on their ability to liquidate their Paycoins.  It's going to be fascinating to watch, but it melts my cold pirate heart to see those people get fleeced.

I think many of the cultists are onto it and just playing the game. They may manage to ROI just on the upvotes alone lol.

I think there's three groups on HT:

1) the conspirators who not only know what's going on and are okay with it but are actively helping to ensure they they get "theirs". They are like parasites riding a donkey.
2) the newbs that know nothing. These are the clear victims.
3) then there's the people who know what's going on and are stuck. They are just praying to find a profitable exit strategy. If they speak out they get banned. So for now they follow the herd and smile, looking to duck out at the first opportunity.

I hope group #1 and Homero burn in hell. I feel terrible for #2. And I sympathize a little with #3 but I think they really need to revolt now but they are afraid, so it's hard for me to feel too bad about what may happen to them. They are essentially enablers for the cult of homero.

I think this is a solid analysis, thanks for sharing it!  I suppose we'll be able to watch the market melt under group #2 as it happens, which will validate your thesis.  I'm interested to see if GAW attempts to prop up the cult with the next new thing, or if this is Josh's swan song before he hops a plane to ... Cuba?

5 SP20's right under your bedroom. You MUST live alone? I have an attached garage, which I tried my SP10 in and still couldn't keep it there from those high pitch fans. Then you wouldn't believe what happened. My good friend brought over his 2 SP10's and told me to go into the house, while he was in the garage. I heard him start up his SP10's then turn then off. He called for me to come out into the garage and low and behold the 2 SP10's were running! He made this audio box, same width size of the SP10. Has a bunch of what looked like speakers to me installed in it and the box was connected to some control with a few knobs on it. He turned one of the knobs slowly and the sound started to get louder and louder. I know nothing about frequencies or audio waves, but all the box does is cancel out all the audio/frequency waves from the miners. Not sure how it works, but since he wants to sell them, he wouldn't let me take a picture. Trust me, it was just a plain wood box with many different sized speakers I think. He said he has a few versions he's working with and making them variable tuning so the timing and frequencies aren't tied to one miner rig. Which would be impossible anyway, maybe our ears think they all sound the same, technically they are not. He was showing me all this on some meter be brought over. When he sells them he said he would make a post here with a youtube video. I don't know any of the details.

Neat!  Here's some more data on how that works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_noise_control

That's the word he used. I forgot it, but now starts to make sense. He's big with radio stuff, meters, electronics. So he had to make a deal with his wife about the sound. If she couldn't hear anything while sitting in the kitchen (which is where the attached garage is next to) then he  can have his miners. He worked like a dog and finally got them quiet, very quiet. But of course you need the tools to build such things and he had them all. Especially all his funky meters.
If he could bring these to market in a reasonable form factor I bet he could find some buyers pretty easily in this forum.  Keep us updated on his progress!

Somehow Roomba got into the 'mining' room and yanked the power cable out enough for a power interruption.

Who is Roomba?
A cleaning robot, most likely.

Sorry, yes, Roomba=cleaning robot (it's otherwise AWESOME)
Until the floor sensor dies and it just spins in circles Cheesy
Yeah, I've owned a couple iterations over the years and they were always more toys than anything else.  When they design one that can empty it's own bin, I'll reconsider the purchase.  The same company builds mil-spec bomb removal robots too!

Today's payout is stuck at unconfirmed, the transaction isint in the blockchain.

I've notice they are moving a little slow, but they seem to be moving through.  I freaked out yesterday, but it started confirming after a bit.

All good, i noticed one of the latest block took 50 minutes. So basically nothing moved for 50 minutes, which explain for half of the delay by itself.

XPY exchange rate is collapsing, along with rental prices

https://coin-swap.net/market/XPY/BTC

Below 0.02 and 13 BTC total demand depth (used to be around 0.03 not long ago, 100+ BTC demand)

https://c-cex.com/?p=xpy-btc has slightly higher rates.

https://www.nicehash.com/

1 TH/s price ~0.04 (used to be 0.10+)

You know why do you? Because everybody that was buying to have a quick turnaround on paybase for $20 just found out they need verification.
Exactly!  It was a nice ride on Nicehash, though.

Look at the hash power at XPY from CoinWarz M8 Wink

There's nearly 100PH/s there and 250PH/s @ Bitcoin

Hmm two difficulty reductions in a row.  Could this be a trend?

We'll be getting that hash back in the BTC network in the next day or so, rental rates have plummeted in the last 12 hours.

Jimmothy Mentioned something about the MSB found here and GAW is not on it. I asked over at HT and someone said they may be linked to another company or name

http://www.fincen.gov/financial_institutions/msb/

If there collecting all my information for it. I would like to know where they are on the list.

I would not be giving up all my information to them before I know where they are on this list if at all.
I would bet every single Paycoin I own* that they aren't on this list in any form or fashion.

*I own zero Paycoins.

Smart man I read the disclaimer .
... and I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

We've received an official response from Amazon regarding the Chrome extension and intend on publishing it in the near future once all of the facts are gathered in the matter but I'm going to take the highlights of the response and share them here in the meantime.

"Amazon does not allow nor condone the use of any piece of software that violates our terms of service specifically the following sections:

[...] will not intercept, record, redirect, read, interpret, or fill in the contents of any electronic form or other material submitted to us by any person or entity.

[...] will not request, collect, obtain, store, cache, or otherwise use any account information used by our customers in connection with any Amazon Site [...]

[...] will not modify, redirect, suppress, or substitute the operation of any button, link, or other feature of the Amazon Site.

[...] will not make any orders or engage in other transactions of any kind on the Amazon Site on behalf of any other person or entity, or authorize, assist, or encourage any other person or entity to do so.

[...] will not take any action that could reasonably cause any customer confusion as to our relationship with you, or as to the site on which any functions or transactions (e.g., search, browse, or order) are occurring.

Any piece of software, extension or other system which implies a partnership or intercepts customers or customer information is in direct violation of our terms and Amazon will act accordingly."

These are just some highlights. As we continue securing facts and information our team will work to publish a full piece.
I can't say for sure, but I imagine this is what killed ZincSave, the original plugin that Josh copped.  Anyone know what officially happened to ZS?
