Yes to a large extent at this point of time. Cryptocurrency is being used to make money quick rather than being used for its purpose, financial transaction. But it is also doing good as many people are investing in it like in stock market to get profit. I think the crypto market will be treated just like stock market. And for that, regulations should be in place so as to make cryptocurrency stable and strong.

It was your misfortune that you suffered a big loss from the crypto market. However, there are many out there in the market, who invested long ago, lets say, some six or seven years ago, who have made still a big profit despite the market meltdown at present. I strongly object to panic selloff. The cryptocurrency market is to some extent manipulated by a certain group to take advantage. Investors should understand it. I am also in the same situation as you. I cannot exactly say whether the market will surge from the right time when the year of 2019 starts. But if we follow others (even crypto experts) predictions, the year of 2019 will be a good year for cryptocurrency unlike 2018. If you follow my advice, you may hold your holdings at least by the end of the year, 2019. As the year, 2018 is or was considered to be the year of regulations, thus affecting less or more the market. The year of 2019 is projected to be a good year for cryptocurrency. You have held your coins thus far. Wait for some more longer if it gives you some more profit.

Yes you are right. Lately I have been noticing something good in the market, the market is growing stable with speculations being less. It maybe due to regulations being in place and the people taking cryptocurrency seriously taking its value into account. Yes I usually do not follow the 'conventional idea' of only the coins being placed in the 100 top list will be good ones for investment. I usually look at the project team, its technology, reputation and its seriousness about executing its promises. There are instances that many lesser known coins that are not in the 100 top list are doing well. In face, I have invested in many coins that are not in the 100 top list.

In fact, my prediction for the year of 2019 for cryptocurrency is relatively good with many institutional investors pouring into the market. It will happen as regulations will make cryptocurrency less volatile and even more stronger. But unlike in the past, coins will make you rich overnight. No need to ask. It is obviously that one needs to wait. As the market is in pain with all coins suffering a dramatic dip in prices, it is not a wise idea to sell off one's holdings. You will lose nothing if you hold your coins for a little longer as the market will rise again and will not collapse. So I think it is the right time to buy coins if you can afford. For me, I am planning to buy some other coins so as to get more benefits.
