Someone just bought 21 million mint...I wish I could do that  Shocked

He/She must be so happy to get in at such an incredibly low price.

462  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs - $10.83 per GH - Unfair usage of preorders! on: March 28, 2014, 04:32:33 AM
I've only heard bad things about BFL.

KnCMiner has a much better reputation.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My view on the future of Crypto Currencies on: March 28, 2014, 04:22:25 AM
POS Android minting is the future

more Distributed and not dependant in big hardware to process transactions.

Less energy consumption, and really really fast confirmation speed.

That gives you three options: Mint (since early feb) BC sin late feb/march and ECC

Mint have better name and the comunity is not focused on price pumping, but in developing services
in the other hand, BC is more focused on price pumping trough multipool (ASIC will kill this)

ECC sounds like w0long, i bought a few at 6 an alredy put it on sale at 48, trying to get lucky

Mint is clearly the future.

Thanks for the info.   So the app is called Mint?   Isn't that a Intuit product?

It's one of the altcoins called Mintcoin or MINT. It is now using Proof of Stake (PoS) minting which means if you have Mintcoins and just hold them, you get 20% more coins after one year. It's kinda like mining except you don't have to send BTC to some bogus website in hopes that they will send you an ASIC to mine SHA or scrypt coins with and not rip you off. You can mint with a laptop and so long as you don't move the coins and they just sit there, you get 20%.

464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Built to Last a couple of decades? Will other altcoins rise up? on: March 28, 2014, 04:18:51 AM
It'll be very insteresting when mining becomes unaffordable for most users. I sure aint going to risk sending thousands of dollars to an unknown company in the hopes of getting decent mining gear on time.
PoS (Mintcoin) may be the way of the future?
PoT seems a bit too random and unstable.

I love Mintcoin for that reason. I've been mining for a long time and this arms race keeps getting worse and worse. I had expensive video cards that are no longer good for mining now because of ASICs.

I found Mintcoin and now I make a couple hundred dollars profit every month from just minting and I don't have to have air condition on either. My GPU fans are not blasting like a jet engine, so it's been quiet at my place. Mintcoin is the way of the future and the environment and Mother Nature will thank us for that.

466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Built to Last a couple of decades? Will other altcoins rise up? on: March 28, 2014, 03:42:25 AM
It's gonna be Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Mintcoin.

Bitcoin was the first and has a powerful brand like Litecoin. Yet, those two use a lot of electricity. The only way to keep things going is a Proof of Stake coin like Mintcoin. Mintcoin generates new coins through minting, where holders of the coin get 20% in the first year, 15% in the second year, 10% in the third, then 5% for each subsequent year. It saves massive amounts of electricity. Their community is a strong one and they keep adding more and more merchants every couple of days. Because of this their infrastructure is growing and this is what will help them outlast a lot of the crapcoins out there.

467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My view on the future of Crypto Currencies on: March 28, 2014, 03:36:26 AM
In moving into the future, we all must consider the effects to the environment and issues of sustainability. The only coin that moves towards this is Mintcoin. Mintcoin has an excellent development team and a huge and growing community. It has switched to Proof of Stake minting which takes a lot less electricity than coins like Bitcoin or Litecoin. With Mintcoin, you get more coins by holding them. It pays out at 20% in the first year, then 15%, then 10%, then 5% for each subsequent year. The community is strong and more and more merchants keep adding Mintcoin. As well, Vault of Satoshi is adding Mintcoin next month which is fantastic. This is definitely gonna be one of the long-term players.

468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin *21 Exchanges *31 Merchants on: March 28, 2014, 02:59:15 AM
when do you think mintcoin will go above 30 again? i hope soon.

I don't think so, the relationship between market supply and demand won't make it more than this,
Good luck to you. Smiley Smiley

I am holding mine as a long term investment.

Even reaching 100 or 200 satoshis, I may not sell. Definitely holding for long term. Mintcoin is a revolution and I do not want to be left out.

People reading this: Contact www.cavirtex.com and email them. Ask them to trade Mintcoin.

VirtEx is the largest BTC and LTC for fiat ($CAD) exchange in Canada. This will be big if they accept Mintcoin.

Canada is the most tolerant country of cryptocurrencies and altcoins and this will be a good environment for Mintcoin to grow and for fresh money to enter.

Afterwards, we can all start emailing Canadian charities and nonprofits and ask them to accept Mintcoin donations. We will then donate to them. We can start emailing charities in Canada once Vault of Satoshi trades Mintcoin. Then we can bother VirtEx again. We can start with smaller charities and lesser known organizations and causes and use that as a stepping stone for larger and more well known charities. We need them to put our logos on their site to advertise for us in exchange for getting people to donate.

Then we will email businesses and ask them to accept Mintcoin. We will try to get larger businesses and corporations to accept Mintcoin. We will use the charities as a stepping stone (You see, such and such charity loves Mintcoin, so you should have Mintcoin too for your business). You can tell businesses that they can get money in fiat back immediately through an exchange such as Vault of Satoshi.
Will do, but do you have an email address? When I click 'Contact Us' I get: Contact Us - For support, please use our ticketing system by clicking here or call toll free: 1-888-812-2525.

The email is admin@cavirtex.com

You can also let them know that their top competitor is adding Mintcoin as well:

I will try to contact them as well and maybe mention that a competitor of theirs The Vault of Satoshi has already decided that they are going to accept Mintcoins but of course in a friendly  manner

Excellent. I'm gonna email them right away. We need more and more readers to email them too. It shows that a lot of people are interested and will make them more eager to add it.

Everyone
, email admin@cavirtex.com and ask them to add Mintcoin. Every little bit counts. Each email helps. It really does!

Simply put, LEAF is down, but not out.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LEAFCOIN on: March 27, 2014, 10:23:08 PM
LEAF is down, but so are a lot of other altcoins. It's not any altcoin's fault. It was a loss in trust in cryptos after that Gox fiasco that destabilized the entire market. Just as the market falls, it will also rise again. When it does, LEAF will rise again. I realize it sucks that LEAF has dropped so much since its release on exchanges, but it hasn't dropped off entirely. Some other coins have dropped to 1 satoshi and have dropped off multiple exchanges. LEAF has dropped to 1 satoshi, but the buy support is still there. Soon, LEAF will rise again.

Let's see what happens to the prices this week.

Up trend might be coming around

Up trend maybe tomorrow

About time. I am tired of the 17 satoshis when this coin is worth so much more and adds so much more value than the crapcoins that are out now.

As anyone can see, MINT is solid.

A solid foundation to weather any storm.

The MINT revolution - join us.

476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LEAFCOIN on: March 27, 2014, 04:16:14 AM
I noticed LEAF at 1-2 satoshis, then it is up to 2-3 satoshis. You think this trend will continue?
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LEAFCOIN on: March 27, 2014, 03:38:20 AM
mcg, please remove coinmarket.io as an exchange.

They are a known scam site.

Here's proof:

Btw, are there any legit sites that you can trade LEAF on? I don't like Cryptsy.

First Post!

@gonzoucab

Im here to help spread the mintcoin revolution

Venezuela present!

Welcome. The revolution is here. Mintcoin has no limits. The community keeps growing, getting stronger and stronger and the infrastructure keeps growing, adding more and more value to Mintcoin. Institutional investors keep joining cryptocurrencies funneling more and more money into Bitcoin and Mintcoin.

I mined from block 250! put all my 10MHS to mint since day 1!
Now i am a happy mintin guy! it produces enough to give a lot of giveaways and sharing mint!

Also wann contact David Latapie, i want my name in the fundation and i know theres no pay, just work to help spread the future of cryptocurrency!

Excellent. That's a lot of hashrate. Yeah, the amount of Mintcoins from minting is really pleasant. Just over 1% every 20 days and a bit more than 20% per annum.

I was using them, seemed perfectly fine to me. I kept the temps around 68°C to 73°C.
