I just read your article on Forbs
https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2017/09/29/worlds-first-open-source-platform-integrating-sap-blockchain-plans-initial-coin-offering/#39611cad13b8

Quote
A joint venture between Swiss-based blockchain content distribution platform DECENT and Venaco Group, an independent "best-in-class" SAP advisory, innovation and implementation services firm, has revealed the formation of a blockchain platform and marketplace for “businesses of all sizes,” called SophiaTX. The business behind the venture plans to launch an initial coin offering (ICO) in the next few months.

So, Decent - was your project also?

No, DECENT is a company, not a project. There are a few people from DECENT working on a SophiaTX, as well as there are some from Venaco Group and some are just from Equidato Technologies. That is how joint ventures work.

sorry if offtopic but why are the dev going crazy with font sizes?

We just wanted to make our announcement better seeable so it won't get lost in all those posts about why we don't have a bounty and why we should have  Wink But we can step down a bit Smiley.

One red flag : they shy away from answering technical questions in their telegram, and instead tell users to "look for it in their whitepaper", claiming it is like a treasure hunt. If the team is unable to properly answer questions, there is no way I would trust them with my money.

I wonder what did you ask? Sometimes in telegram people ask the same questions over and over and the devs get tired of it. I hope that did not happen here.

Some repeated questions should be pinned, it's annoying indeed if new users just log in and start the same old questions again..

yeah they should do that or answer each and every question because as a potential buyer I won't invest in anything if the seller won't properly demonstrate the product.

An FAQ would be a nice thing where people could find answers really fast and in short form. After this, they still could ask/read the whitepaper if they like the project.

We do have an FAQ both here and on our website.

You accept 3 different cryptocurrencies for ICO. Can you please tell us what conversion rates source will be considered? And at what moment?

We can give you the exact answer and provide you with detailed information after the platform will be completely programmed that will be a few days prior to Token generation event. We will definitely have a blog post about it.

I think it can be a good decision not to do bounties. It has pros and cons of course, but at least there won't be the usual bounty dumpers.
I guess that is because they have other marketing campaings in mind. Maybe they don't have enough money for everything and had to make a choice.
so this project will not you have a bounty campaign? perhaps they have in mind other methods to promote, advertise the ico...

Bounties are an easy way to promote a project for a cheap price.
I agree with you, a cheap and effective way to promote the project and attract  of investors.
Ya they know the pros and cons, but they've been thinking about this

And this is the result :
After careful consideration of all pros and cons, it is not suitable for our type of project, therefore we decided not to proceed with bounties.

are you at least targeting more marketing via youtube or some sorts of campaign? I understand project is nice and not really needed much since team already demonstrated pilot integration.

We decided to focus our marketing budget on other, from our point of view, more effective ways of marketing which are also more suitable for our project. We are interested in more serious investors, who are interested in our project because they see the value it brings and not just a bounty hunters, who want to get super rich fast not even knowing what is SAP and what we are doing.

We successfully unveiled a working Proof of Concept that demonstrates how companies can exchange information between their enterprise systems, such as SAP, using SophiaTX blockchain!

Pretty neat video. Good to see that you guys are actively working on educating everyone about the project.

Are you guys planning to use this technology to communicate between R3 or HANA based systems, or just between Business Ones?

No dependency on SAP HANA.  The platform will be completely system agnostic - meaning integration with other systems such as Oracle etc.

"In September, SophiaTX announced the first open-source platform to primarily integrate blockchain technology with SAP software, used by 87 percent of global businesses and 98 percent of the top 100 most-valued brands." Oh my! I think this one is another great find. They are actually solving real world problems out there and not just duplicating other coins like what most of the coins do. I think this project is very unique and promising. I just read the Announcement OP and I am excited to know more and to get in to this project. I am really looking for great projects to invest in. And I will study this one more so that I will know if this is really worth it for my money. However, I really liked the idea. As I understand it, you are becoming as the Oracle of the industries. This will be the backbone and this is not tackled yet in the arising field of Blockchain. I will read the whitepaper and study this project deeper. But I have one question right out the bat:

Why didn't you choose the Ethereum Platform/Blockchain as the Backbone for SophiaTX?

You would find the answer in our Whitepaper but since it is quite at the end you have probably didn't get there yet Smiley. I will just copy it here for you as well as for others who might have the same question:

Ethereum

Despite the fact this is one of the most dominant platforms currently in use for ICO/TGE and many other uses, we have concluded that using Ethereum for integration with business applications has its limitations. It is possible to use Ethereum for some selective business contracts and transactions, however, providing a holistic high-performance blockchain, in our view, would not be attainable, partly due to the use of Proof-of-Work (PoW). Also, it is required that a business suitable blockchain must have a certain level of privacy and encryption currently not used by Ethereum.

I will definitely invest some in this project but I want some extra trough bounties.

But didn't see any bounty thread or information.

Do you have a bounty program?

They said earlier in this thread that there is no bounty campaign planned.

After careful consideration of all pros and cons, it is not suitable for our type of project, therefore we decided not to proceed with bounties.
You can get an additional 10% bonus for using DCT.

Then I will invest with dct.

But why are you giving such a bonus to dct? Do you have an agreement or partnership with decent? Or you and decent devs are the same guys?

SophiaTX is a project by Equidato Technologies AG which is a joint venture of DECENT and Venaco Group. Also, SophiaTX's blockchain is built on DECENT's technology. So there is a partnership of some sort.

Oh i get it now.

By the way, decent lost some value after ico. I don't know what did they do wrong but maybe you know? And won't make the same mistakes also?

We cannot speak on behalf of DECENT, but there has been definitely more factors in the game. But as mentioned in the discussion, bounty programme bears the risk of dumpers and therefore negative effects on coin/token value immediately after the launch (but we have more reasons why we do not use the bounties and this one - the risk - is just a minor one).

474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SophiaTX Announcement - The Blockchain for Business on: November 24, 2017, 08:48:31 AM
By your road map you will have own blockchain and wallet in 2018. So we must waiting our coins in 2018?

Yes, but within the 48 hr after the TGE ends you will receive ERC20 tokens that will be swapped when our wallet will be ready.

Thank you. Own coins with own mainnet more better than tokens. How I can swap tokens to original coin? how will the process going?

As you can see in our roadmap in our Whitepaper (p. 13 in the pdf) or at the begining of this thread, we are expecting to have wallet ready in Q2-Q3 2018 and then we will make a swap. It will be an automated process. Just stay tuned for the announcements.
