462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much hash power do I need on a video card for mining alt cryptocoins? on: December 12, 2017, 06:20:34 AM
There is no minimum hash power (also referred to as hash rate) to mine altcoins. You can mine with 25 or 30 MH or even 1 MH.

If your question is at what hash rate do you need for your computer to be profitable, then your answer will depend on your power consumption. Generally, the most popular and profitable graphics cards for mining right now are the RX 470/480/570/580 (if you can find any at regular prices). To estimate profitability, you can use calculators like whattomine.com
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 10, 2017, 06:02:44 PM
Awesome. This is great news. I've been having really bad experiences with other electroneum pools especially hashparty.io (stay away from this pool). Sometimes i would mine the whole day on hashparty but only get paid for around 4 hours of mining, even when they clearly promise payment every 10 minutes with a minimum amount of 10 ETN.

Anyway, congratulations to nanopool for expanding once again and providing miners with a stable pool and a good monitoring dashboard.

465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Founder Supporter of Bitcoin Currency on: December 08, 2017, 11:59:01 AM

Wow nice find. Benefit of the doubt its a real article, I hope this news article reaches more people or even the home page of yahoo. I'd imagine that a lot of people still use yahoo, despite everyone moving to gmail. This is the sort of news that helps pump bitcoin's value up and give us nice Christmas presents.

I'm sharing this with my family and friends on facebook. Will do what I can to help spread bitcoin and increase adoption.
466  Economy / Services / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO][Signature] 🔥💥 Angel Token ICO 🔥💥 up to $150/week in BTC on: December 07, 2017, 12:25:41 AM
I wanted to update you all, about half of the payments have been made but we are having a large unconfirmed transaction on the network for the past hour or so (despite the high fee we used) and the rest of the payments might get delayed until tomorrow.

Appreciate the update. Looking forward to receiving the rest of the payment.
Thank you for having this well-managed campaign.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hack Ethereum? on: December 05, 2017, 03:03:25 PM
People have done the math for this, you can google search the estimated calculations on how long a regular CPU would take to find a private key. I believe it's somewhere around 1,923,2381,281,2314,877,54,2131, years.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Large Investment into Ethereum? on: December 03, 2017, 04:44:09 AM
I agree with the OP completely. Ethereum is a good investment to pour money into.

I learned about it after I learned about Bitcoin and the first thing I asked myself was why the hell is Ethereum valued less than Bitcoin when it does so much more?
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS GOOD FOR HOLD ETHEREUM? on: December 02, 2017, 03:45:18 PM
You shouldn't really be asking for investment advice from strangers on the internet.. Especially for cryptocurrencies.

But i'll indulge you. Ethereum is a good investment both for short and long term gains because its technology is more advanced than bitcoin and it is already reaching critical mass adoption. Some speculate ETH will reach $1000 by next year. Good luck sir.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good Altcoin for transaction fees on: December 02, 2017, 07:40:39 AM
I bought bitcoin and tried moving it and realized how insane the transaction fees are. I'm not very wealthy so i can't afford to lose all my money on transaction fees. Good altcoins for this, anyone? Also list the exchangs they are traded on.

Stellar Lumens. Transactions have a very minuscule fee of $0.000000421240 to prevent network spamming and denial of service. Transactions send and confirm in just a few seconds. It's also a trusted coin in the Top 20 market caps.

you can also consider coins like dogecoin, reddcoin they are cheap too.

How does having a very miniscule fee stop people from spamming or DDOSing the network? I'd imagine that with very low fees people can easily send a million transactions for a very small amount. Are you saying a million transactions sent that way will not affect the network at all? XLM or any other token with low fees are actually more susceptible to DDOS disruption.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 0.01 BTC, what should I do with them ? on: December 02, 2017, 05:26:06 AM
Basically after some glorious trading, and mistakenly getting into pump with all of my BTC, this is what I got now.
xD
Guys... What do you think I should do with my 0.01 BTC?  Huh

Donate to charity? buy me beer and drink myself into oblivion?

You don't actually need to do anything with it. Just keep it in a safe wallet and forget about it for years and years. If you haven't noticed, Bitcoin's value is continually and gradually rising. If you can't trade for nothing then just hodl it and wait for the value to rise.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Coinbase hands over data to IRS on: December 02, 2017, 02:05:15 AM
If you read the source of the source, you will actually find that it clearly states:

Quote
Anyone moving more than $20,000 on the platform is subject to the new order

I believe that is a considerable amount and should not really affect regular users and the average joe. Its for rich folk who should be duly taxed anyway.
Lots of ways to get around it too. Just make your girlfriend or wife create an account and you instantly double your taxless capacity.

Only retards would panic about this.
@spoetnik
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Etherdelta my favourite on: December 01, 2017, 03:22:19 PM
I'd say i have a love and hate relationship with Etherdelta right now..

I love the fact that Etherdelta is decentralized and has no central authority that can scam people by suddenly closing shop and declaring bankruptcy. What I don't like is the fact that transaction fees are higher than regular exchanges. All my transactions are limited and need to be carefully planned because of the high transaction fee cost at every move.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ohni bounty campaign on: December 01, 2017, 01:44:51 PM
They having huge promotion this time.
Ohni is one of  favorite project among all new .
You should review and visit there site bounty campaign and airdrop is ongoing right now
https://ohni.io/
See you there

Good job and effort on the website. However, this is not the place to talk about or promote bounties. You can do this on the altcoin bounty category which can be found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

But on another note, I hope you don't end up scamming other people. Do you even know what to do with the ERC20 token you are creating?
If you just want to scam people, don't because your parents will die early from all the bad luck.
475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think its now the time to sell bitcoin? on: December 01, 2017, 06:47:03 AM
My 2 satoshi says NO. The price has already dropped steeply from $11,300 and the opportunity to short bitcoin and make some quick money is over. It is now slowly consolidating upwards and should continue to rise steadily. Now is actually the time to buy more bitcoin. Don't miss out on the next round of all time highs and invest while you still can.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just divorced my wife and put every cent I have into Blackbytes on: December 01, 2017, 04:18:34 AM
Other than me reading the title as "I just discovered my wife" I can't really add much except that this section should maybe renamed to a more appropriate name, somethint like Altcoin Pump section.

Haha. You sir are a true hero. This thread indeed got my attention mainly because of the catchy title.

While this thread has some merit and effort to it, I agree that this particular category has now attracted almost nothing but PUMPs and DUMPs. Hopefully more moderation can be added and truly shit topics can be removed sooner.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Americans Wanting Cryptocurrency Loyalty Rewards? on: December 01, 2017, 01:16:17 AM
Thanks for this. It is very much appreciated that you even linked to recent studies. Pretty good way of promoting a coin because you show actual thought into what you wrote instead of just obviously shilling like other posters. It made me click on the BalehuBucks token link. Good job.

Anyway if you're interested in these kinds of tokens, also take a look at LoyalCoin.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins prices on: November 30, 2017, 05:15:46 PM
why altcoins prices rapidly going down now

Just relax, its only going down because bitcoin is correcting. With the sudden correction of bitcoin, altcoin prices were not given enough time to be able to adjust to the new Bitcoin value essentially making them valued cheaper than ever. However, this is just temporary and once people start moving money into alts again this will surely rise.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to buy Monero? on: November 30, 2017, 05:07:50 AM
It's never too late to buy Monero, or any other perceived "blue chip" cryptocurrency at the moment. If you look at the numbers, we, all of us here now, are all actually early adopters because of all the people and potential users of cryptocurrency in the world, it is only us that have started using it. When most of the people learn about and start using cryptocurrencies you can expect it's value to rise drastically.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the first blockchain game is now live on Ethereum. Wow. on: November 29, 2017, 04:41:15 PM
I'm surprised this hasn't gained much more attention. The DAPP is really well built and works perfectly. Its fun and profitable at the same time. Should this be in the micro earning section for it to gain any traction? I've turned my 0.04 to 0.15 ETH already breeding and selling kittens. Spreading awareness so the more people play and value of kitties go up.
