Sorry I'm new. Who is Rpietila?

He is just a guy claiming he knows a thing or two about Bitcoin. Also owns a coin or two.  Wink

he is the guy who claims that he is a Pro trader and he can predict Bitcoin moves, the thing about bitcoin is that we can only speculate because the movements are somehow unpredictable.

when we are speculating with the charts and movements some big bag holder can just drop a shit load of coins bringing the price to the lowers lows, or another scenario is someone buying 20K coins at once and bring us to $1500 in one hour.... this what bitcoin is.... don't trade based on what we say here and don't get emotional to peoples Ideas....

Would a 20k buy bring the price to $1500?

Looks like Gox took rpietila's words to heart, approaching 600's fast!
464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 20, 2013, 10:57:54 AM
Good mormon everyone. I have to work today so can't trade. Where shall I leave my bids? Got a couple at 300 (ha!), couple at 500....(ha!). What's the plan you non-pigs?

I think you will be disappointed.

+1

Shorter term there's a lot of support at 500 so a bounce from that level seems probable.

Longer term I think there is a chance that 350 will be visited but 300 would require something which I don't have knowledge of.

Add +10% for Gox.

So you believe we will slide back towards 500 short term?

At some point, probably in the not-so-distant future, I will only hold. Against USD that is -- altcoin bubbles will continue to be easy to play, I think. But these are the times to day trade bitcoin. We won't have these swings forever.....

Wow, this is exciting... So quiet, so much tension in the air. What wil happen next?
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 19, 2013, 04:18:26 PM
Looks like a double top is forming.
I think we might go down from here on ...

Yup, i stopped hodling and went deep into fiat. No reason for market to have recovered this fast, we will go back to 500's.
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 19, 2013, 03:37:01 PM
Boom, bitstamp up 32% Cheesy Crazy stuff!

shocked it took this long.

It's nice to hear the voice of reason and experience amid the braying masses of bearish noobs.

Wife enjoying her new Lambo?

One thing my Bitcoin experiences have taught me is that reason cannot be used to foresee price movements..

Do you guys think we are finished with the China crash now? Or will we see new lows before the dust settles?

I had no fiat when the big crash happened, selling a bit on the way up now to be ready for cheap coins if we go back down. I personally have a strong feeling we will go back down hard.

Those coins being bought from China has to be sold somewhere else within a month yeah?

So where do you think they will be sold?

That sounds like a rhetorical question.  Shocked

If/when someone unloads in China now, we will go way down...

It amazes me how difficult some people find it in life to give credit where it is due. I guess it's just a lot of embarrassment kicking in now for the bulls who did nothing but mock bears for the past 2 months for attempting to be rational about the situation we were currently in. If anything this recent rally has taught me who in this thread is the day dreamers, the shit talkers and those who are blatantly blind based on their investment. Bitcoin does attract a strange group of folk, I must say.

I'll mock bears trolls all the time. I am writing here as bull yet this crash caught me 100% in fiat except btc I have invested in some stuff where I couldn't sell, and I made nice profit today, both in btc and in dollars. So I am certainly not buy and hold type though extremely bullish for 2014.

But those 20 posts "Bitcoin is dead", "Ponzi is done" etc, etc bears as well as those trolls who post crap just to cause people to turn their minds and help them fill their bids will always get it from me.

And Rpietila will get it specially as one of the biggest manipulators and idiots here.

Getting 'caught' 100% in fiat as such a raging bull as yourself sound like a canary in the bullshitmine.
473  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 08:10:51 PM
I'm just holding through this. Got no problem with price going way down, I'm in this for the long haul. Actually got more fiat coming in tomorrow, so I look at this as just a good opportunity to increase my position.  Smiley
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just out of curiosity, why was the domain Bitcoins.com created in the yr 2000 by on: December 15, 2013, 01:24:08 PM
People everyday buy mass amount of names depending on what they believe it may be worth in the future.

The term "bit" and "coin" is very common.

It only makes sense someone bought the domain name bitcoins during the internet boom.

Once Bitcoins became what we know today, any domain name that contained "bitcoin" and similar increased value.

The domain was spotted on the waybackmachine back in 2008 it looks like, being parked by GoDaddy which is a common trait for people who buy domains to speculate future events.

Yeah. Except it wasn't bought by 'someone', but by Mark Karpeles.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advertise Bitcoin? Centralization has its benefits. on: December 15, 2013, 01:15:32 PM
We are way past the point of needing advertising. The daily media exposure translated to advertising value is enormous.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Polish company pays salaries in BTC on: December 15, 2013, 01:03:51 PM
This may not be huge in terms of the size of the company, but it is huge in setting a precedent. Another first, a new victory for Bitcoin. When the barriers fall at the front, pushed down by the brave pioneers, it opens up a spearhead for the big volume of BTC "mainstream" to follow. Momentum is building guys....

That is why "HUGE" , is such a bad way of putting it!

It is not the first!!!!
Sorry for the tone , but you didn't even bother to read the whole thread. Or this one:

Oh, my bad. If it is not the first I agree that this is only  huge  Wink

Who's got 'em?

I'm holding like a boss.

That's not balls of steel. That's having a minimum of common sense.

479  Local / Skandinavisk / Gavekort og Bitcoins i Norge on: December 15, 2013, 01:04:07 AM
