Who cares what actresses and actors think their political views and who cares what Celebs think when it comes to politics.

A couple million people, unfortunately. Just look at that whole situation with Colin Kaepernick not standing up for the National Anthem right now, he's getting massacred for it.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk database leaked? on: September 07, 2016, 12:21:20 PM
I just changed mine.  Not taking any chances around this place--you see all the hackers and the scammers around, and you know it isn't a good neighborhood.  Mr. Rogers is hanging from a light pole with racist grafitti written in red ink across his chest.

I have not yet visited the dark markets, and probably won't.  How much are accounts going for?  I don't quite understand how all of that works.

The last time I checked, it was $10 per account, and the listing said they were compromised accounts. They had 300k+ sales which is on the really high end (In contrast, a tab of really potent acid would have 2-3k sales which is also high)
463  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk downtime, or just me? Edit: DDoS attack confirmed as per Theymos on: September 07, 2016, 01:33:03 AM
Are we attack this period? I can't access the site in several minutes even I have a stable internet connection, I tried in http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/ and it is down at that time and just for a while I'm able to access it again. Is everyone experienced it also?

Yes, please read my post above, we are being attacked.

Hey, I actually support software piracy 100%

I just think that it was kind of ironic that it was YOU who was asking "Who pays for movies in 2016"
a guy who defies the jews with every breath he takes also refusing to support their movie industry with money isn't irony, tarantino getting the jews to fund inglourious and django to demonise whites and then trolling them by making the white characters look sympathetic without the jews ever noticing is irony

Nice word salad. I'm not surprised you're anti-semitic too. You're basically anti-anybody-that's-not-an-ancient-decaying-straight-white-man
465  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Confirmed DDoS attack on Bitcointalk: Who did it? on: September 07, 2016, 12:52:21 AM
Why the forum not simply hide behind cloudflare or some other anti ddos service?

That would avoid any ddos and hide the real ip of the forum right?

Theymos has confirmed that he will not be implemented Cloudfare, citing security issues.

God bless him! Awesome yes but it will mess with proxies to come here...

Certainly Chinese gov and their war on Hong Kong people...

I agree, Cloudfare is a pain in the ass if you are using TOR to access websites

I think it's an angry kid with botnets, because we saw more downtime today, around the same time
466  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk downtime, or just me? Edit: DDoS attack confirmed as per Theymos on: September 07, 2016, 12:51:04 AM
These HF kids with their botnets really need to get a life =/

dishonesty would be saying i pay to see movies while secretly watching them for free online, i refuse to have any part in funding hollywood zionist propaganda

Hey, I actually support software piracy 100%

I just think that it was kind of ironic that it was YOU who was asking "Who pays for movies in 2016"
468  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mohammed tops the list of most popular baby boy names in England and Wales on: September 06, 2016, 11:14:53 PM

Gee, I'm so glad Christianity is a far more peaceful religion:

You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17 NAB)

“If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives.” (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

If I went on and on, this thread would be a lot longer than Trump's proposed wall
old testament laws was for a specific group of people to follow during that specific time, islamic sharia is for the whole world, non muslim as well as muslim, to follow until the day of judgement

Oh great, so you're a pro-Sharia Muslim now? Acknowledging that it is for the whole world? Must say, that's not a very big leap from what your current beliefs are
469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump or Clinton: Does it matter? on: September 06, 2016, 11:12:59 PM
He is the king of debt only when he has the US Government to bail him out and take his side, and he owes his success to exploiting legal loopholes which he won't be able to benefit from when trying to apply the same techniques to resolving America's debts with China and Russia
470  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It is time to Ban Religion on: September 06, 2016, 09:52:15 PM
i think this is impossible. although yes, religion creates a lot of division and at times hate among people, its effects are not entirely negative. if you think about it, mostly religion at its core tells us about peace and respect. i think people just needs to focus on what their religion has in common with other religion rather than highlighting the differences because this is where misunderstanding begins

Except when it's telling you to kill the disbelievers/infidels/heathens/gentiles, coaching you on the "right way" to sell your daughter into slavery, how non-believers will be tortured eternally in a gruesome manner, etc etc.

well i think there's that part in every religion, be it islam or christianism or any else. and then there's also where it teaches us to respect our fellow humans, to share and other positive teachings and i think we just have to focus on those parts. well that's just me though Tongue

You can see it all over the place in the various informal religions lumped together under the word "secularism."

Cool

Don't mean to sound like a broken record, but you're contradicting yourself. Secularism literally means the rejection of religion.
471  Other / Politics & Society / Re: For the first time I feel uncomfortable watching an Hollywood movie... on: September 06, 2016, 09:50:35 PM
who pays to watch movies in 2016

Honest people do, not trolls who hang on Bitcointalk to preach white supremacy while using a stolen cell phone in their mobile trailer homes.
472  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMED BY GREEN TRUST USER 'NEEDYPOO' u=24452 on: September 06, 2016, 09:49:54 PM
Is this due to the recent dark market access to the bitcointalk.org database that Quickseller was talking about?  Has the forum been hacked recently?  It does appear that quite a few people are trying to scam with hacked accounts.

I was going to say that, but don't worry, I think people are just panicking and overthinking it. The recent attack was a DDoS attack, Theymos said there was no data theft. There has been a lot of "wrath" from kids who purchased Bitcointalk.org accounts and scammed people, then bragged about it on the forums later with other accounts. However, if you changed your password since the last attack (over a year ago), you should be good.
473  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mohammed tops the list of most popular baby boy names in England and Wales on: September 06, 2016, 09:47:44 PM
The difference being that Christians don't act on those words as you well know.

They kind of got that crap out of their system a few hundred years ago.

If they don't act on those words, then they're not Christians, which is a great thing.

Unfortunately, they do act on those words.

Uganda - Gay pride cancelled after threat of violence

Yes, Uganda is a Christian Nation. Saudi Arabia is close to one too, since they also hate gays, witches, and Jews.
474  Other / Meta / Re: Account farming. Allowed? on: September 06, 2016, 09:37:13 PM
Two to three years ago, I would have naively gone to a thread that was auctioning a Bitcointalk account, in hopes of having acquired a good that I could hope to resell for a profit. However, after actually having visited sections outside of the Politics and Society subsection, I've come to realize that there's actually a lot of risk associated with account trading, you could end up buying an account that was hacked, which can later be recovered, or an account that already has a loan out.

I feel like the decision to allow account farming on this forum was made so the forum administrator could profit from them, as he is the sole beneficiary from this. I'll explain why I think this is the case.

Account farmers will put on a signature ad, making the service advertised more popular. In return, the companies whose ads are placed will pay the people who have the ads in their sigs. I bet you're wondering, where does the Admin come in this? Well, occasionally, some private business owners will want to take it further, and to try and attract more users, they will donate to the forum to get the cool gold coins under their name. Ultimately, there is a cozy relationship that is formed between the forum administrator and the Bitcoin casino companies/exchanges.

475  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMED BY GREEN TRUST USER 'NEEDYPOO' u=24452 on: September 06, 2016, 09:26:34 PM
It's absolutely ridiculous seeing how this forum rewards and protects older, more reputable users. For instance, if I had a negative trust rating, it would  probably show in all red and scary, with a "Caution!"

However, for him it's all nice and yellow, less intimidating. Lmao, what is this? Anybody care to explain?
476  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I want to sell a facebook id with 4000 friend on: September 06, 2016, 09:23:47 PM
It is against Facebook's policy to have an account that is not yours. They take this very seriously, Facebook can and will lock your account until you provide government issued photo ID that proves you are the guy (or girl) on your Facebook, I am dead serious about this.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you think about Monero and its future on: September 06, 2016, 09:22:02 PM
I've said this over and over throughout my years using Bitcoin and I'll say it again: Bitcoin may or may not be the future, but cryptocurrencies definitely are.

As for Monero, it's definitely has the anonymity factor that Bitcoin lacks, and with the AlphaBay Market adapting it, I foresee a significant rise in its price until it begins to stagnate, which could take a couple of years. I see it as the future DarkNet currency, Bitcoin will still remain on the clearnet.
478  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mohammed tops the list of most popular baby boy names in England and Wales on: September 06, 2016, 09:16:31 PM
Shouldn't that mean sending all the Christians to Uganda? (Eat da poo poo!)

Lol, 33 my ass, more like 1933
it would mean that if i were a politically correct frenchman who has to say religion when he means islam but i don't believe in treating everyone the same. christians are welcome if they conform to our values and don't race mix. muslims in significant numbers can never live peacefully among non muslims because their holy book claims to be the direct word of god which never changes and takes precedence over everything else.

Gee, I'm so glad Christianity is a far more peaceful religion:

I don't actually consume porn, but I do think it's a pretty good idea.

Well, me neither. But some people do, this industry is making several billions a year [citation needed]. So, it's good promotion for BTC.

I don't actually consume porn, but I do think it's a pretty good idea.

Lol, I don't believe you guys at all.

But I agree, porn sites should implement Bitcoin, I don't want anybody seeing the annual membership for Premium on my bank statement audits.
