Warren Buffett made his annual stock donation this week to five foundations. Buffett converted 11,867 Class A shares into about 17.8 million Class B shares in order to make the donation. 13.5 million shares worth about $2.6 billion, based on the stock's closing price Monday of $192 per share, went to the Gates Foundation. Buffett has donated 243.3 million Class B shares to the Gates Foundation, just south of the 500 million shares he's pledged to the charity run by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
It's a neat trick.

America I feel sentimental about the Wobblies.
Well you can always raise a wobbly pop in salut to them. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FlbaBaSd.jpg%3F1&t=663&c=izhtXJ8JaW6DXw) Lost my sparkle and my ability to drink beer. Totally hosed, eh?

It’s 4 times the cost. For worse outcomes on average.
Corporations are in the business of fleecing people. It stands to reason.

Google and Amazon etc compete by giving employees not only salaries, but "free" cafeteria food, "free" dental etc.
Rich western countries compete that way too.
It's up to each country what kind of "free" benefits like healthcare they should provide.
Corporations are soulless mummies mandated to maximize shareholder profit. Imagining market forces will manage humans with anything other than complete indifference is nuts. You don't like "salary+benefits" package, you move to a better country.
Just everybody get rich and move to a seastead then. Good plan.

All collective action toward the public good is for suckers. Your tribe extends to your front door and no further. Whatever.

Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, etc are global platforms, people all over the world use it to discuss freaking everything, including U.S. elections. Better get used to it, because it's not going away, ever. U.S. voters are going to be exposed to opinions of foreigners. By the way, John Oliver is a foreigner, right? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Most commonwealth citizens are initially appalled by American-style DIY healthcare. Watching people die for no good reason probably takes some getting used to.

I used to be very confused about Donald Trump until I realized he is the America most Americans actually want. Democracy is odd.

Homer, your country is in ignore-list about the whole world, is it a big problem for you?
I'm not much of a patriot. *said a guy with ugly bird in Romania flag colors and BTC address started with Romania ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) If you lurk moar you can really personalize your digs. Get to know everybody, then pounce when they're vulnerable. Do you know nothing of our ways?

Some big fish just moved the price up. Probably a Blackrock operation. Hardly a rally. They will take their dirty profits off the table soon enough I guess.
Whoa is me.
You used to be so bubbly and fun loving. Now you're like a ghost moaning laments down the corridors of a collapsed mansion. Here's to your getting your sparkle back some day. You stuck me right where I live. I'll look to it. ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

JJG's stalwart refusal to entertain any notion not currently within his self-imposed event horizon may eventually lead to his downfall.
I had my downfall already. It was epic. 6/10. Would not do again.

Full disclosure, I have vaguely collectivist leanings. Throbbing, unfettered global capital run amok has occupied every housing market on the planet. It’s time the filthy rich were forced to park their money in Bitcoin.
the most 'sensible' draconian dictatorship type of power grab I've ever seen, seems very reasonable to me! (er...I may be a 'bit' biased as I'm already in HODL mode.....naw......I'm a wonderful fellow...so all above must be just dandy!) snicker brad My biases made me the Bitcorn revolutionary I am today. I stand by them.

The Poll in here is the best indicator you'll get in this thread. Only when actually more people think we will be going down, we can go up.
So... this is a suckers rally
Ipso facto, we're doomed. Good call. The humanity ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif)
