There are lots of users who have good hearts (as your words) in the forum. However, their problems are they don't have too much time to scan around the forum, boards by boards, topics by topics, and threads by threads to find high-quality, constructive, original threads which deserved merits to send their sMerits away.
The forum has covered by tons of shit (due to massive spammers), but the merit system has put them down and believe me, over time shit in the forum will decrease considerably due to merit system. Consequently, users (especially newcomers) can have more opportunites to catch by higher-ranked members; and have more probability to earm merits.
For now, you can contribute to the forum by stop making shit (if you has been made those shit), improving your quality day by day.

The mentioned account has current statistics as 10 posts, 10 activities,100 merits, and Newbie position. That's strange like a bug.
I guess (and I think it is right) that the account was sold recently and new owner wanted to make a new profile by deleting all old threads.
The rank of the account before selling is Full Member (that explains why it got 100 merits, which seems to be allocated automatially in January when merit system launch).

I propose Theymos to make a change to the forum system. If someone delete their old posts, their ranks and their merits should decrease too. It's not fair if a Newbie got 100 merits for nothing (particularly if the account was sold and violates the forum rules).

It looks like a potential blockchain-based project which can change the financial services forever with its top-notch (as promised in roadmap) decentralised applications. Better services, cheaper price for customers, both of them can make better experience for ALAX users when real products released to the public community. I guess this one is probably a typo. Exact requirements about post-lenght should be 70 characters, not 700 characters as the current ones. There are many high-required signature campaigns which only ask for 75 characters in total to be counted. Therefore, 700 characters minimum for each post in BanQ signature campaign is strange and really impossible to get more supporters for BanQ project.

120 days and 100 merits, constructive users can surely get them. Of course, user can not get one merit each day, some days get, some days don't, but in general they will get 100 merits or more over 120 days if they are really construcitve users in the forum.

I don't deny the fact that there are several shitty-higher-ranked members, who simply and fortunately ranked up and stood at their current positions due to old ranking system of the forum. They moved up to high ranks in the forum through their shitty posts in the past. Nevertheless, I think you should stop complaining about this issue. That is life. You have to accept that.

In addition, merit system will solve the problem. This is why the system created originally by forum admin, Theymos. As you stated, newcomers will be harder to rank up to Senior members and higher. That means over time, in the next one or two years we will see less shitty higher-ranked members in the forum.

Accept the fact, contribute to the forum and rank up, then help other lower ranked users.

The MUNcoin project started at 24 December of 2017, so that means it has passed around 3 months. I think three months is long enough period of time to do something for the project. What have we gotten so far? Almost nothing regardless of signature campaign and Muncoin paper wallet. I hope that MUNcoin's developers can keep the project survive over time. Hope this one not fall to pre-mature death like lots of scam projects in the crypto world.

Where did you get those informations? What I got from the OP is different from yours. The OP has not mentioned about the ending day of the campaign. It simply stated that the NYXcoin signature campaign will be paid for each two-week period, started from 19 of February. And we are staying at its fourth round.
