466  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ***BITSPIN.CO FREE 3btc RAFFLE! *** ONLY 8 SIGNUPS! Deadline: July 31st on: August 01, 2013, 01:17:50 AM
Today is your last chance to enter this raffle! The odds are very good, and the requirements are super easy to fulfill! See the first post for details.

After the eligibility is closed can we remove the "Free 3btc raffle" part of the sig? Seems like it may not be needed after.
467  Economy / Services / Re: Win 1 BTC for renting out your signature on: August 01, 2013, 01:05:24 AM
I too get his point, but it's just not worth the effort to start tracking every users starting time for us and weigh that in the odds of winning. I'm open to solutions or ideas if the community jointly feels the way this was handled is unacceptable.

People don't have to apply again to re-participate, everyone will automatically be carried over to the next raffle ever 2 weeks.

I moved my sig after the drawing to a different spot. Is it acceptable?

on CoinCafe.net they have a slower paced dice game. Send bets from 0.05BTC to 10BTC to the designated percentage address. Results are calculated instantly, and winnings sent back to address provided. Win percentages range from 25%-95%

Totally unfair:
I kept 2 weeks(plus one day that doesn't matter) the ad on my sig, and a guy that had the ad for only 4 days was "eligible" to win the raffle?
You must be kidding me...

I can understand where you are coming from. Though I really hope we can not turn this into a shark frenzy money grab but rather a enjoyable way in which we reward supporting members of this forum with a small extra by holding this bi-weekly raffle. Everyone has a different starting date, and for the sake of logistics we're not going to start tracking that. However, people that we notice to remove/re-add their signature, we do disqualify.

If you like what we are doing with SatoshiBet, by all means, get the signature, support us, and with some good luck, if not this raffle maybe the next or the one after that, you'll get a few extra BTC.

I'm just using your own words:
Quote
To be eligible to win, our link has to remain in your signature for the full duration.
I tought that a full duration was 2 weeks, aka 14 days.

Needless to say, but, by allowing someone with only ~1/3 of the duration you of course turn this a "shark frenzy money grab", you're giving the oportunity.

Surely there would have to be leniency for at least the first drawing. If not, it would imply that you had to be on the forum that day and added the sig otherwise you wouldn't be eligible for the first drawing. Considering also that half of the entries were submitted during the 2nd week there wouldn't be much lotto, but rather a handout for 3/10 people that were there first. Either way, the lotto takes place every 2 weeks, and there is still good odds for anyone here. I mean, there isn't much room to complain about a free-to-enter lottery, is there?

Winners are in. First of all, thank you all, A LOT, for supporting SatoshiBet. We really appreciate it regardless.

To determine the winners I placed all eligible bitcoin addresses in Random.org and shuffled the list
(if your address was not in the list, it means you did not meet the requirements stated in OP).

The results: http://cl.ly/image/2l0V3v3Y1d0A

Why do people tell others what to do?

I love to gamble, and no one is gonna tell me not too.
477  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitArena | Online Bitcoin Arena | Season 1 Contest 1 BTC prize pool! on: July 29, 2013, 08:55:57 PM
House rake seems very high on this.  It's a player versus player game so the house takes no real risk kinda like Peerbet.  Peerbet takes no rake.

Yeah, I don't like it either. I've played a few times, but I won't continue to play now. 7% is ridicilous, if I win, with say, an axe, I get quite a loss still, and have to win to make profit.

Doing simple math with the amount of bets already placed on the site (828) and using the average bet (0.04) it seems the house makes some decent cash off the site.

Also, considering this was a coinchat bot game first, was good credit given to the originator?

I had noticed that price of the rock weapon had changed, but was pleased to find the odds for winning changed with it.

I think the title of this thread is a bit dyslexic Tongue

You mean "10 GB Hard Drive" instead of "10 Hard Drive GB"? I thought I got it right but if that's not the case I apologise, english is not my native language  Tongue

No need for an apology mate. Just gave me a bit of a chuckle. Tongue
