I thought this was the symbol.

462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Radeon 5970 cards Priced in BTC on: June 10, 2011, 01:38:09 AM
Only a fool would sell a 5970 for 25 bitcoins right now.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: When will bitcoin go to 400? on: June 10, 2011, 01:00:23 AM
If the government made accepting bitcoins illegal it will be the greatest thing that could have happened to bitcoin. Look what it did for reefer.
464  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: For those of you warning to stay away from deepbit (and BTC security in general) on: June 10, 2011, 12:07:37 AM
It's like an anarchist group that votes in a leader.
465  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best Bang for the buck mining rig, please recommend parts on: June 10, 2011, 12:03:53 AM
Just saw a 5970 go for 450 on ebay with a buy it now option last night with 10 bucks shipping. I wish I didn't have all my money tied up in bitcoins. Then again, fuck it.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First experience - Disappointed with something on: June 10, 2011, 12:01:52 AM
An apology? On my internets?
467  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I feel like I'm dreaming, is this crap for real? For how long? on: June 09, 2011, 08:01:09 AM
You gotta be careful with those month long predictions. I thought I was going to be pulling in shit gallons of bitcoins a month. Turns out I'm only pulling in a couple poopoo pints here and there. It's badass, but you're not going to get the amount of coin you're thinking. Then again, the price could shoot up and it wouldn't matter.

I was expecting 150 coins a month when they were at $6, ended up getting 35 coins, but now they're 30. So basically you're buying a mining rig to speculate.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff doesn't get Bitcoin on: June 09, 2011, 07:41:43 AM
I read somewhere that gold was used as money because for a really long time it was the heaviest metal known. Making it easy to tell the difference between real, fake or cut gold.
469  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: best rate for mh/s from single card? best rate you've ever gotten including oc? on: June 09, 2011, 06:41:28 AM
800mhash from a 5970 850/300. But it's stable at around 750.
470  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FOR SALE: PCIe x1 & x16 Extender Cables, Mining Chassis & GPU Dummy Plugs on: June 08, 2011, 09:04:18 AM
Is the difference between the PCIe x1 Extender Cable and the PCIe x1 to PCIe x16 Extender Cable that he opened up the back with a dremel so the card can fit?
471  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FOR SALE: PCIe x1 & x16 Extender Cables, Mining Chassis & GPU Dummy Plugs on: June 08, 2011, 08:03:07 AM
Do I need the molex connector for a 5850?
472  Economy / Economics / Re: 1 BTC = 200 USD on: June 08, 2011, 07:10:27 AM
I don't feel right about this. If it hits 200, I'll buy an acre of land and put a yurt on it.
473  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: June 08, 2011, 06:33:13 AM
I'll send 3.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Want to run a 5970 and a 5850 on my 750watt powersupply on: June 08, 2011, 05:10:19 AM
Impressive. I was told to not even think about running 2 5970s on my 750watt. I shall go forth with god like speed. May I ask how many amps your 12 volt rails are?
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoins do you own? on: June 08, 2011, 04:56:30 AM
Obviously I'm late to the party...

Relative to the people before you.

But very early relative to the millions of people who may join the party after you.

Well said. I was told that mining was dead and over with when my video card was in the mail.

mining is dead compared to investing. it only serves to raise the prices and we already have plenty of miners who will do that for us anyways. Let the fight for the shrinking pie.

Mining is not dead compared to investing. You keep buying bitcoins at $30 a pop. I'll keep making them at $2 a piece.

That's a pretty personal question. That's like asking how much money do you have saved away in a bank?

37 cents in my bank account, but 43 bitcoins in my wallet.

You are going to be the next wealthy elite!

Dry handjobs, and malt liquor for EVERYONE!
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Want to run a 5970 and a 5850 on my 750watt powersupply on: June 08, 2011, 03:19:42 AM
Is this going to fuck it up? It's a TR2 RX 750w bronze. It has a +12v rail rated at 56 amps. The computer is pretty bare, only thing connected to it is a SSD. I've also got a 400 watt powersupply, I just don't feel like running two computers.

Jeez fuckin' louise. That's probably up there with accidently running over your own pet. I hope the grief doesn't ruin you.
