281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MyBitcoin.com, where did it go? on: July 31, 2011, 04:50:17 AM
If anyone's looking for an idiot to laugh at, I had a grand sitting there. I wish I was popping my moron cherry, but I'm pretty sure that pussy is busted up.
282  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: List your potential leads for scrounging cheap or free FPGAs on: July 28, 2011, 09:27:35 AM
A factory that makes HD Tv controller boards would be nice. They scrap shit. There's an LCD/plasma graveyard nearby but I'm guessing it's upto 50 mhash maybe at most per fpga. Those guys want 50 a board, could maybe get them down to $35 - $25. I can reball if someone can print pcb pci cards. Maybe we can scour craigslist for free or cheap broken tv's, get the model numbers and look them up. I'd chipin for membership at a website that has schematics and repair manuals.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long until someone can live on Bitcoins only? (10 BTC Bounty) on: July 27, 2011, 07:26:35 AM
I could do this, but I'd spend a bit more than 10 coins doing it. I'll burn through my stash if there was a pooled escrow following me.

I bet people laugh at me 100 years from now when we're all virtual.

Modded 360s that can run homebrew and copied games off of usb drives.

So weird that you guys give a shit about a free .01
287  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Microsoft Xbox 360 4 GB Black on: July 26, 2011, 06:10:27 AM
God damn you guys are cheap. Good luck seller. I tried selling some Jtags to these animals to no avail.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins your dirty little secret? on: July 26, 2011, 03:16:08 AM
I don't want to see my friends and family get burned. I told everyone about it when it was at 3, then 8, then 18. Once it hit 30 and dropped I stopped talking about it. Most of my money gets converted into bitcoins. I just don't endorse them anymore. My mom on the other hand used to work for IRS and thinks this will be huge.
289  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do if you think your partner just ran on you? on: July 25, 2011, 11:32:53 PM
If it was enough money then get a cop on it. Tell him you just want your stuff back and I'm sure he'll scare the kid and get it back. You don't have to press charges every time.
290  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do if you think your partner just ran on you? on: July 25, 2011, 06:38:50 AM
I'd call the cops and learn from my mistakes without making myself theatrically over-jaded.
291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First commercial ASIC miner specifications and pre-launch on: July 24, 2011, 12:08:14 AM
I'm not kidding man. There's a lot of money sitting here right now. I don't think you appreciate how liquid your device really is.
292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: End game for me on: July 23, 2011, 11:28:22 PM
my advice would be:  don't do it again.

i would also point out that quitting is truly silly:  you have just discovered one of the things that makes Bitcoin as good as it is.  the purpose of acquiring knowledge is to profit from it.

Exactly. People are shit and they ruin good things all the time. This is why bitcoin was made. Don't let some dickless wonder demotivate you off of the ground floor of something that personal experience just demonstrated is right.
293  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 100 coins $13 each on: July 23, 2011, 11:23:12 PM
I've got paypal and I'm looking for coins. Or even dwolla, mtgox or liberty reserve.

Sent. Please send back to same address when you get a chance. Or feel free to keep it and laugh at me for trusting a stranger.

He looks legit.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First commercial ASIC miner specifications and pre-launch on: July 23, 2011, 11:02:30 PM
You should go full disclosure on us right now. Let people copy this, big deal. I would rather pay $2700 right now versus paying $1400 for some clone a month from now.
297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First commercial ASIC miner specifications and pre-launch on: July 23, 2011, 10:41:27 PM
I'll buy one if you reply to fpgaminer's post.
298  Economy / Speculation / Re: And so the dumping begins.. on: July 23, 2011, 09:21:47 PM
OP has done this before. He hasn't been here that long, yet his post count and name suggest he's old school and knows what he's talking about. Maybe he is and this is all bullshit to entice a panic. Guy predicted doomsday not too long ago. I almost bought it then. I'm not buying it now. He's hoping you all sell and buy back in. Just hold.

If someone is foolish enough to trust anything regarding future price on this forum, even coming directly out Satoshi's butt, maybe he/she deserves a lesson then. Nobody knows where the price will go, just speculating.

I agree nobody can see the future. A small handful of people here are brilliant though. Can't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Hey, I'm part Argentinean. PM me and I'll give you my aol, gmail address and you can message me whenever you've got a question. I've run a few rigs and enjoyed tweaking them out. I sold my stuff and now I just buy bitcoins at market, but I kinda miss mining.

Payment isn't needed. There's a lot of people here willing to help for free. I'll get you going.

Welcome.
